Prysin, be sure to adjust for the correct crit dmg by using the 0 column as base. It will throw off your numbers some. The table already considers base crit.

You may be right. But i realised something else. Pet crits much more often then you’d think. Which can be seen in my video.

Your number seems a bit screwy, I think because of the cast time. When I tested it I was getting an average rate of 1 attack per 1.2 seconds on Feline. Divide your number by 1.2 and you get about 1400 which is closer to what I was getting in own estimates.

Either way both are estimates so I’m not going to quibble over a 20% difference especially when pet DPS is already as low as it is.

But that is in addition to our own DPS. Now i know that sword CAN compete with most of the best DPS professions. Although it is considerably weaker. However i need to see proper DPS rotations for other professions to make a good comparison.

I like how you say it can “compete” then immediately say it’s “considerably weaker”.

Don’t dig that guy up, you will only find bunch of noob, l2p and pet words, also the pain (http://youtu.be/M9rs3bMYA9c?t=21s).

People who think ranger’s dps is fine, you maybe misery lovers but most of people are not, and don’t like being inferrior because some guys like you say ‘We are ok but you are not ok, please leave the professions to make us really ok, ok?’.
Ranger and its pet is not OK, Pet is a mindless attack bot and for 1 or 2 months ago even it has no ability to do what you say. Our weapon damages (and base damages, coefficients) are way lower than other classes who use same weapons and yes, they have to be not the same but; for a player who doesn’t only faceroll and play the game with it’s finesse, i want the kittening same outcome as guardian, warrior, elementalist gets. We do much more effort to have equal outcomes since other players mostly have -no so perfect- but ok class mechanics.
Think again boys, competitive people would use much more if really ranger do any kitten . If you want to win, you pick the one who is much more close to win. Watch some Dota 2 and see why people don’t pick certain heroes and pick more and more the same heroes. When there is an imbalance -for Dota 2 there is not so much inbalance-, people tend to cluster on certain things. Certainly they don’t cluster on ranger, and ranger is still a dinner plate for most of the classes. When you want to win, why would you stuck yourlself something broken and not cared since the beginning of the game? (Those so called developers didn’t even fix name change when dismissed bug until 1 or 2 months ago…)
No matter how hard you can yell ranger is actually fine and good, you see the results, i played all the classes, wanted to main my ranger but after my world completion with ranger i dropped it, really it doesn’t worth my time while warrior does every job that i could do without any disadvantage and a burden at his profession mechanic bar.

Please stop comparing across professions

Developers, please at least post your task lists or what you’re working on (about the game) and we check it if our goals fit with your list or not. This blind procedure gets boring.
Also please don’t open CDI threads because every single guy/gal here knows if feedback changed anything you’d make it illegal.

If they don’t rewrite skill facts for every patch the the patch notes would have 3-5 lines in total. That would look bad.

This. They need to show themselves the boss as ‘working’ guys.

Here’s a demonstration:
Boss: How is it going guys?
Developers: – Quickly closes the porn site at the browser- Uh nothing boss, just new features, balance rework, additional story, non repetitive style dungeons etc.
Boss: Good good… Keep working.

maybe we need to do a collaborative development about communicating. im sorry wasnt that supposed to solve some of the problem with communicating wait they dropped that altogether. thats why i didnt participate in those discussion i knew it was going to happen.yes a lot of good might have come out of what was done. . the collaborative development could have been a good thing throughout the game and really what i think a lot of players want but unless anet begins to release they need to communicate more and bring in people specific for that. i applaud the few who tried to do that but they were working on there own time and probably overstressed themselves which is probably why it isnt being done anymore. id love to see more communication between us and anet but i doubt we will see that

a CDI about CDIs, that would be good. Than we would play other games while Guild Wars 2 done with CDIs and get in action.

After seeing Dee Jay’s ‘A few parting words’ topic removed from the forums I can say ‘no’. Plain and simple. Want feedbacks? He had feedbacks, and you did that you always do, ignore it because it needed more work (more work for other areas than the gemstore).

Just leave Prysin alone guys, s/he’s so pro to be argued with, learnt so much things even plays in a style of faceroll to play.

There is no change for ranger since no developer logged in their rangers. Only pet responsiveness changed but still pets are dying so quick. I played hunter in wow for years, never thought pet as a burden but thanks to gw2 i learnt an ancient mechanic with a little tweaking can’t work in a novel system, while you decide your dodges and defences, mindless ai can’t help you with it. To be better you must decide every move with a little of micro managing, look at warriors, they don’t have a lot micro managing type skill and easy to play because of it. For engineer and hunter there are tons of things to consider and mind it, eventually game turns out to be harder and harder.

The system blocks my character’s progress because i can’t unlock traits that i need or even if i unlock them i can’t buy any of my slot skills. The system clearly wastes all of the time to find the mobs and kill them instead of leveling up and enhancing my skills for wvwvw. I stopped playing my non-80 characters because of it and don’t think gonna play them again, there is no need to play the game that steals my time and give me no fun but grinding stupid mobs.
Also for 80 chracters, events are not for everyone, i done tequatl for like 100 or more times but i stopped having fun after my 2nd run, for my 3 80 level chracters i have to do Karka queen which is redundant and has no real fun… You can’t keep people in game if you turn it into a grind machine. At least i stopped playing the game after your superrior feature patch, and great profession balance oriented decisions.

I know you got a lot of crit chance but if maul misses (actually if maul can’t hit as crit) you do nothing to the oppenent, the build is 1 skill dependent, you have to place it well to make your opponent panic or at least try harder.

Wilderness survival is better than nature magic because shared anguish and hide in plain sight offers you a save from a lot of situations which makes you end. You’re on berserk armour, you can’t easily stand up if they knock you down. (You know every other profession has tons of knockbacks, except us; the trappers, strategists of the nature…)

If you want, i can post my Dire set – Condition ranger too, it’s less funny but – sadly – more useful.

Healing spring is useless if you don’t have a blast finisher. (AKA 5th of the Boromir).

My – primitive – strategy was to use 3rd skill of longbow to gain opening strike again and place a well timed maul strike (2nd of the greatsword) to make a hard hit to the guy and block the next strike after the appearence., then you’d use swoop to get away from the opponent and so on, yea so primitive but fun to play.
