Stop this madness. Resets are getting done at the perfect time. Free transfers are locked. A clean slate is what every server needed. All this should’ve happened over 2 months to be honest. This is good thing. And if you read the millenium page, they do not have the proper algorithm from Anet, so those match ups are most likely incorrect.
Well I really don’t get why a reset was needed. But lets hope that those current match ups posted on millenium are just kittened up for the moment, because right now it has DH matched up in T2 against Kaineng and BG. If that holds up I have no idea why anyone from DH would want to play that match.
You are in long ques because you are in zerg servers.
My guild started in SoR.. then once it started going to high up in the ranks, the que times were about 6 hours long. It killed our guilds morale. So we jump ship down to a lower tier server, and love have no ques!
Thats just plain stupid. Did you even for one second put ANY analytical thought into this idea?
Holy kitten queues! I think I waited 1.5 hours to make it into DB BL last night. When I finally got in I found one KN group with like 20 or so and 3 commanders in the same group. I thought, wtf, 3 commanders! Then I realized that group was probably all there was, everyone else was in the queue! So I queued for 3 other maps but never got in. I finally gave up and kitten logged off. So we finally get to a truly competitive tier and we can’t kitten get in the fight! Come on Anet, get your kitten together please!!! We usually have queues but last night was epic. Having said that, there were some good fights while I was there, but we were definitely outnumbered.
And what’s with next week!? Why Anet decided it was a good idea to scramble the tiers so kitten badly next week is beyond me. Sorrows Furnace moves up 20 spots to T1?? Dark Haven plays BG and KN!? If I were on DH why the kitten would I bother logging into that match? Maybe I am missing something but I really don’t get the point.

The dragon sleeps. Then it wakes.
But from what I saw last week. Maguuma doesn’t run and hide. We like that in them.
MOAR BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
hahahah> hold and wait for it
Kaineng is getting the new guy treatment. Mag did some things to them on reset.
Kain, show me where they touched you on this WvW map…
Sorry, came in to see how everybody was doing here, and I couldn’t resist putting that joke out there.
See, I knew Maguuma was the weird uncle in the family!
Why are other servers mad? Kaineng not mad, but SoR, FA seem so. Any reason?
Also Kaineng like all our guilds.
We have 1 troll though. Sits and troll all day long, all night long. Does not fight, sits and spam map chats, insults others lack of skill in wvw, sits … and takes queue spot.
Mighteous Rex/Ajax blue etc … keeps being insulting to everyone.
Take a look at your past and current matchup scores if you want to know why a lot of people dislike Kaineng.
This kind of post really makes me laugh. Dude, seriously. Do we have to get remedial for you? Kaineng had transfers, some large WvW Guilds, some smaller. From there. we simply continued to play the game. What did you expect? Do you think everyone who was on Kaineng before the transfers should have said…oh heck no, those other servers (T7, T6, T5. T4) can’t seem to field 50 people…we should retire? Seriously.
When a server gets a bunch of serious WvW transfers, who have just transfered to a low tier server that was already serious about WvW to begin with, we are obviously going to have to rise to a higher tier that can match our number and coverage. The servers that we had to play against to progress were unfortunately just in the way. Sorry, but true. No use whining to us about it. If they were in the same situation they would do the same as Kaineng. Simple enough?
I started out posting in this thread in a light hearted manner, joking somewhat about the idea of skipping to T2. I wanted too lighten the mood. Anyway, skipping the tier is no longer going to happen, and for me personally I’m quite happy to play against DB and Mag next week. The ratings will now be reset and I’m a bit confused as to the intent there, but whatever, we’ll see where it goes.
After reading Jung’s post, I have to say I can understand some of the issues that seem to be arising here. I’m not sure this forum was the correct place for his post, but then again it’s the forum with the widest Kaineng audience at the moment. Of course to the nay sayers from other servers, I have to tell you the majority of Kaineng do not really care about your opinions or constant predictions of doom. Many of us have always said, although we’d love to reach T1 to see what it’s like, it’s not life and death. This is a game we play for fun. I work long hours during the week so enjoy my mostly weekend WvW fun. But I’m not a member of any army, I am simply playing a game to have fun.
Regarding WM, I welcome them, and see them as a strong asset. But WM, I have to say, speaking for myself, you are one arrow in the quiver. You’re a strong arrow, that’s for certain and you take the game to a higher level, one that is difficult for most regular Guilds to achieve. Regardless you must understand that despite your achievements and great organization, the idea that any server should completely hand over the reins to you and you alone is a somewhat unrealistic. Perhaps your quest is to remake WvW in your own image? Again, I don’t think that’s realistic either. You certainly have a great influence, no doubt, but will always fall short of any goal to remake WvW solely in the WM image.
I believe the majority here welcome you, but we also expect that you will work with all the other Guilds here, small and large, including SoS. I hope any issues are resolved soon, however, if you leave Kaineng simply because you were unable to get every guild to follow you in lock step, you will have the same problem wherever you go. Sure most of us want to go to T2/T1, but we can only achieve this with all working together, with give and take and some compromise. If we don’t make it, it’s definitely not the end of the world. I’ll still play WvW, and I’ll still play on Kaineng.
Anyway, that’s only my opinion…one of many. For my part I think WM should resolve any issue they are having, within the bounds of working together and making compromise where necessary, and get back to the game ASAP!
I tire of reading “zerg this zerg that”. Guess what, EVERY server is a zerg server!
Any server that gets the numbers into wvw will form zergs, don’t kid yourself!
If you and your buddy enter wvw and run into 20 people it’s a zerg right? I see a lot of complaining about 2v20 or whatever.
It’s the way things work. People aren’t going to spread out in groups of 1 to 5 people all over the map. They’re going to gravitate towards each other and work together. I could care less if you call that a zerg. Calling a server a “zerg server” is sort of a compliment to them even if you don’t mean it that way. It means that server has the dedication to continually field a large number of players. It means those players are interested in helping the server achieve victory and advancement.
Instead of complaining about it, get your server more involved in wvw. if you have 40 people online in one guild and you can get 25 of them into wvw you can now take on that zerg of 20. If you can get 2 to 4 guilds more involved in wvw, you can make a good impact.
Quit complaining about it because you want to go around with a small amount of people and think it’s not fair that you’re running into large groups working together.
If you can’t field decent numbers, instead of complaining about zergs, don’t go in wvw. Or better yet get people involved. Train people on group tactics. Make parties that synergy with each other well (a good combo of healing/buffs, finishers, confusion/stealth, whatever). There’s tons of thieves around. Get a group of 3 or 4 thieves to start flipping camps while you apply other tactics elsewhere with larger numbers.
A zerg can only be in one place at one time. It takes time to move that many people to an objective. So work on other tactics like getting orange swords up at a tower or two while you ninja a keep.
If you can field numbers you can do stuff like this. If you can’t get 20+ people to coordinate together, you’re S.O.L.
If you’re being spawn camped, there are 3 routes out of server borderlands – you don’t have to go head on into them.
Wow, Come on people, stop acting like you dont have a #‘s advantage. im on YB and im not complaining about the fact you have obvious # advantage, but dont turn around and act like its anything else. Maguuma is in the same boat, they went up to where their #’s belong and they are now in 3rd place. So right now, youre steamrolling due to #’s, accept that. Move up a tier and then see how things work out.
Okay. Accepted. Well at least by me, only one of many.
Hello guys,
With the deadline fast approaching for transfers, I feel compelled to report about Kaineng’s current state of battlefield readiness for T2/T3.
As we all know, due to coverage and the huge number of militia in WvW, the scores really tell the story. And as CD and YB folks have stated, the KN WvW militia are not 100% trained yet.
T2/T3 will be at least 3 to 4 times tougher than the current tier and will test the mettle of even the strongest guilds in KN. I strongly urge KN folks to strongly reconsider how KN will fare in the coming matchups and consider the 28 Jan deadline for transfer if you don’t feel ready.
(Note: no sarcasm intended in the writeup)
FW
Uh huh. By all means, after you
Edit: I do believe he means those who may have joined up for an easy ride and may not be happy with a tougher tier. I say they stay and get used to it or join PVE.
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
Kaineng is a band-wagon server, filled with band-wagon players or even worse, the band-wagon guild. The only thing band-wagoners do faster than leaping to a rising server is leave a loosing one and Kaineng has those types of players in droves now. I’d bet they implode after their first loss.
Really. And you know this how? Another crystal ball gazer heard from…roll on.
A person can successfully argue that Kaineng is a great server, but it is really hard to argue that it is not a bandwagon server. A considerable amount of their population has come in the last 2-3 weeks after they started winning.
And those larger Guilds that came from higher Tiers have explained again and again why. They saw it as a better place for them to grow their guilds and grow WvW on the server.
What gets my goat is when people tell us what the deal is on our server, when they are not our server, seen what is going on behind the scenes, or talked to any of the transfers.
Do doubt there are “band wagoners” present, but that hardly makes us a “band wagon server”. We will see. I don’t have a crystal ball like some, but I do have personal experience with the WvW population on my own server.

Palpable excitement mixed with self-doubt. This new crew seems a bit skittish.
I just want to play Mag and DB next week as per schedule. Why would we want to miss that?
Though I have to admit them skipping tier 3 would make me happy. Two reasons tier 3 is a lot of fun great matchup and it would be us movin up instead. Also give us FA more time to get use to playing with each other and be that much better when we do make the move
No no, this is no good. You should move up now. You’re ahead of us in the line, we would never presume to butt in. Send postcards
T3 is a lot of fun right now… Kain would probably screw it up.
No no we won"t. Promise, we won’t. Okay wait, depends what you mean by screwing it up. Maybe we will. Sorry, I downgrade my promise to a maybe with good intentions.
Sacred Trebs will bloom throughout the maps…just sayin.
Go FA!!
The squishy pugs of Kaineng need all the experience they can get before their server heads on to higher tiers. Not to mention the huge contrast of fighting t4 servers to t2/t1-worthy servers might give them a bit of a shock.
God forbid they be subjected to what DR did from T8 to T6..
Fixt.
LOL. I see what you did there.
Goal of Maguuma is not to have FA win by too much. I’m certain all of the T4-T8 servers that got rolfstomped by Kainneng will support this.
I just wanna read Kaineng’s tears in T2. They have a lot of bandwagon, so the tears should be plentiful.
Naw, no tears. But we can discuss that next week.
Okay DB and Mags…here’s the deal. We really want to play you guys next week. We’ll even bring the beer. FREE BEER!
FA is playing far better than both of us atm, so they’d be the most fun no doubt. Unfortunately you’re gonna do a pretty impressive tier vault if the current predictions are anything to go by!
Did I mention the free beer? Mags and DB have worked hard, you need a break this week…maybe go play some (shock) PVE or level an alt, or watch TV. No need to keep your nose to the grindstone all the time. Plenty of time for that next week.
Dont do it DO NOT DRINK THE BEER. This is Kainang offering us free beer so I am fairly sure they trying to slip us a mickey.
PvE? I will play more PvE when they introduce World PvP. Until then for me its all about farming gold to pay for siege equiptment.
Pffft…mickey, whaaaat…No no, nothing of the kind.
I have an 80 Guardian and they are quite versatile and tough. Oddly, perhaps, I enjoy playing my Ranger more in WvW as I level her. I’ve done at least 60% of her 65 levels in WvW in fact. I think Rangers can be very useful indeed, as long as we keep good situational awareness. We can help kill siege, as mentioned, and help support pushes and defense. I actually get a lot of kills on my Ranger. One should not advance too far forward as a Ranger, that’s for sure. And we do always have to watch out for that pesky thief sneaking up on us…they love to focus target us lol. If we can’t get away from a Warrior that catches us fast enough, It’s often a spike to the head relatively quickly. Yet I still love playing my Ranger.
Having said that I also enjoy playing my Necro a lot, they are very useful and fun to play. I recently started a Mesmer and I am really having a lot of fun playing her, so many great skills.
So as to which I think is the strongest, although I tend to agree that whatever you enjoy playing and know best is the strongest, if pushed to choose top 5 I would say;
1. Gaurdian
2. Mesmer
3. Ele
4. Necro
5. Warrior.
OK Kaineng, you say you don’t want to be Tier 2? Crystal Desert and Yak’s Bend will be happy to help you. Now stop defending your keeps and towers and let us take over.
Dang it…we just can’t help it. Have to practice for T2 now maybe…
But I am not there at the moment obviously, perhaps later. I promise only to man arrow carts though, and throw myself off a cliff, or into your welcoming arms, once you kill it…how about that?
Kaineng might even catch 3rd place in T1 by the end of the week.
Kaineng real power is just preparing for this.
Server has the potential of a nuclear bomb in wvw.
Okay, listen you, don’t get too carried away now! You need to relax a bit…lol.
T3 would be the best place for our next match…give us a week at least! I want to see the KN Oceanics vs the DB Oceanics. Also want to see their NA primes. I think it would be a cool match. And then there’s all these crazy Mag roamers I hear so much about…they sound fun.
As we have risen up the tiers, I’ve come to sort of see Mag and DB as close relatives in a way…albeit with Mag being the weird Uncle type
Plenty of time for T2 and T1 later. All good things in good time.
Okay DB and Mags…here’s the deal. We really want to play you guys next week. We’ll even bring the beer. FREE BEER!

Fighting them the last couple days I have noticed one thing. When in huge numbers they are steamrolling everything, but get them in small numbers and you can do whatever you want with them.
I had no problems taking out 3/4 all by my self on my mesmer, and when they finally killed me with 9 people…..they all danced and sat on my head and stuff like they had done something wonderful, (if it takes 9 of you to kill 1, you didn’t do anything great) which is just tacky. They have to be the most “emotive” players I have seen since launch.
Now of course this is just a random sampling, and not saying the WHOLE server is this way, but so far thats all I have seen. I am sure most of the skilled, good players are maybe sitting this week out, simply out of respect for the steamrolling their zergs are doing.
How can anyone take this sour grape seriously?
If I wanted to post sour grapes I would. Giving an honest appraisal of what happened isnt sour. I fully realize I was facing people who might never have wvw’ed before…..I know its not representative of the WHOLE server, and clearly said that. Just because you dont like what was said, does not make it “sour grapes”.
So what does any of what your are saying have to do with what it is like to play on Kaineng as a server? Seriously! The OP is not asking what you think Kaineng is like to play against in WvW, he’s asking what it is like to play on Kaineng. See the difference there. Too subtle?
Put it this way. seeing as you have never played on Kaineng (I would assume), you really have no way of presenting any honest answer to the OP, do you?
Considering what the first post in this thread stated, if you bothered to read it at all, he simply asked :
So at the moment I’m on Desolation and going to join my friends on Kaineng USA server. Are they good? I heard it going up quick in the WvW rankings?
So I was responding to the “Are they good?” question. In no way shape or form did the original post ask for people who played on the server or did it ask “what its like to play on”. If that had been the question, I wouldnt have had an answer, since I only know what I have seen playing against.
How about next time you at least look at something before pointing fingers.
Ah true. I jumped a bit quick there. I saw the OP’s intent differently. Sorry about that.
However, I stick by my opinion that you (and others) tend to make generalizations when you speak of Kaineng’s abilities and play style. Very slanted POV, but that’s just my own opinion as one who pretty much only plays WvW. I’ve seen smaller groups of Kaineng push bigger groups of opponents back plenty of times. Perhaps it’s just the time you play, or something.
At any rate, it’s a moot point, the guy joined Kaineng anyway. Welcome to Kaineng Aim!
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
Mag wants you too, but we will be here in t3 to catch you when you fall down into our open maguuman arms made of trees and vines and love.
LOL. Good to know…greatly appreciated, but still…
Speaking for myself and I think quite a few others, I have no desire at all to move up to tier 2. We´re having a good even fight this week that I wouldnt mind continuing for a few more.
LOL. Dang you! Don’t be so selfish…get your butts up to T2.
Is this some sort of conspiracy you 3 have cooked up…huh?
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
Okay DB and Mags…here’s the deal. We really want to play you guys next week. We’ll even bring the beer. FREE BEER!
GO Fort Aspenwood GO!
I don’t want to end up skipping a tier. Get those points a rollin guys!
I think half of Kaineng will take most of this week off, if they already haven’t. Yet we keep racking up points. YB and CD are just not cooperating in taking more points off of us. The slackers! (jk)
Well, although I do look forward to T2. I’d rather be in T3 next week. I really want to play against DB and Mag.
GO FA GO!
Jumping to T2 is going to be a huge, huge, huge shock for most.
Bandwagoners will definately help with numbers, but the organization that takes place in T3+ is just so indescribably different than anything in the tiers below, 10 fold. But I’m sure most of you know that.Really excited to see what happens here. Train is about to smash through/get smashed by a wall I think many people chose to not see coming.
Much respect though!
Good luck.
I say we all jump on the current T3 match up thread and cheer on FA! It would actually suck to skip a tier, not only because it’s exponentially tougher for our present level, but because we would miss our match up with Mag and DB. I really want to play both of those servers in T3.

Not at all. I prefer free roaming solo or in a small group. That’s why I’m often designated as a scout for my guild.
Ah, then I truly stand corrected and apologize for misinterpreting the premise of your post. /tipshat
I’m not defending zerg mentality. I’m just sick of people whining about it. It’s a fact of the game on any server that has the numbers dedicated to wvw. People will end up in large groups (zergs) by nature if there’s a lot of people around to hang with.
True. However you have to remember that just because someone calls out a zerg for being a zerg doesn’t mean it’s ‘whining’ about it. It’s simply stating a fact about the situation. Hell half the time when someone posts about the zergballs doing X (spawncamping every BL entrance for instance) there’s a fair bit of chortling at the silliness of the whole situation that goes along with it. Mostly at the devs for not having the foresight to realize that this was going to happen given the decisions they’ve made.
Perhaps, but I still think there are a hell of a lot of people whining about it. I’ve seen it in every match up thread since we left T8. As for single players getting run over by a group of 20, it happens to me all the time. I’ve yet to see a larger group of opponents encounter my lone Ranger without putting a spike through my head. It’s just part of the game. Doesn’t bother me, I port back, repair, and roll out again. I’m rarely disappointed in what I find out there.
What does disappoint me is the amount of flaming and trolling we have to put up with when we come to our match up thread to perhaps try and discuss the actual match up.
Oh dang…now I’m whining!
Not at all. I prefer free roaming solo or in a small group. That’s why I’m often designated as a scout for my guild.

All I was saying was quit complaining and do something about it – be it special tactics groups or by getting your server more involved in wvw so you can combat against it.
I totally agree. But some will simply never accept the truth. I’m really not sure what they want. Some people will always complain, no matter the outcome. Many posting here will never accept anything anyone from Kaineng says, no mater how honest the intention. Haven’t you heard? We’re the Evil Empire apparently. All we do is lie and cheat and condescend and insult people. Oh and let’s not forget; Kaineng will self-destruct shortly and fall back down the tiers (gotta love those crystal ball guys we hear from…every tier match up)
yawn
All I really know atm is, there were a lot of awesome CD people actually fighting to get their Garrison back last night over a period of hours. It was an epic fight, and Kaineng did not have the advantage through most of it, we were just having fun fighting. Yet, still no respect.
Oh well.
Here’s hoping we can find some respect in a higher tier where we face similar numbers and coverage.
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
So the question was; Is Kaineng a Good Server? I assume you mean to ask if Kaineng is a good server to play on. I’ve only ever played on Kaineng, so my answer is YES it is a good server to play on.
I’d advise you to ask the people who actually play on Kaineng, and ignore the sweeping generalizations and flames posted by those who have only ever played against us, but not for us. Or better yet ask your friends who are already there.
Yes it was a good fight. When we can field a que (like we did tonight at times) we can stand toe to toe with anybody. I was the crazy great sword ranger with the glowy blue sword.
Nice. Great job! You guys just kept coming and coming. I don’t know how many times that wall came down and we’d push you back until the timer ran out, and then there you were, right back again! There was a brief period when I thought you might pack it in, but then you didn’t
Of course we were having great difficulty obtaining enough supply to repair the wall, and never did. We were having too much fun to really care I think.
Thanks for the awesome fight!
We finally got our garrison. : ) Keeping it will be harder.
Throughout the day a few of our conversations were pretty much “RISE is here. Let’s kill them.”
Yes you did! Thanks for the fun fighting. Best fight I’ve been in for a while. I was one of the Rangers giving you guys some hell. Thanks for the badges and the spikes in my head…lol.
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
What a great fight at CD’s Garrison tonight. It went on for hours. They threw wave after wave at us as we defended, often out numbered at times, pushing them off…no supplies. I don’t know how many times we managed to push them back…but it was a lot. Finally the Golems showed up. We finally had to release control.
Awesome fight CD! You guys are great. For those that say there’s nothing interesting going on…well you’re missing out.
I heard the Sista speak!
I still dont get why people complain about spawn camping…
Meh, only venting, don’t take it seriously.
but you got a free badge farm just steps away from your spawn point.
Um, no. A single warrior + MAYBE a buddy on his guard or 1-2 randoms vs 25-30 people doesn’t really have the ability to “badge farm” them. Mostly it’s about seeing if I can just get 1 or 2 down in the 3 seconds it takes for them to vaporize my body.
I don’t like the spawn camping and never do it, solely because I think it’s a waste of game time. However, every server does do it as stated many times by many people.
Just go around already!
I’m really hurt that you don’t put Maguuma in the top tier of forum PvP, Waffler.
Looking forward to t3 next week if Kaineng gets here. They’ll prob. win from their night base, but I think DB/mag can give them trouble.
I’m not making any T3 bets at all, outside of the fact that it’ll be an awesome matchup. Really looking forward to next week, and from everything I’ve seen, DB and Mag are both classy, fun opponents – both on the battlefield and in the forums. xD
Oh my yes! It’s going to be crazy next week. Win or lose, it will be an experience. Speaking of bets, I believe someone (Rob I think) has to cough up 20G next week, no?
No tactics? I dont even see you guys on the map. And youre talking shiet? Cmon. Thats just straight unnecessary hate and ignorance, dont be like that as a person. Press B ingame whenever you want to talk shiet about Kaineng, maybe it will remind you to maybe not do that anymore.
My statement stands. Why are you so hurt by it?
You won’t reach t1 any time soon. Anyone from tier3 and up does the things you do and in some cases much better than you do. Just because CD suffered to the transfer panic doesn’t mean you are ‘better’ than it’s players. Just means that there is more of you.
Learn how to WvW, kkthx.
Yeah, we hear that a lot. Thanks.
According on this http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA
Also considering we are day 2 from wvw week reset, we can make realistic prevision that Kaineng will directly jump to 2nd or 3rd place in Tier 2, moreover we can guess that SBI might fall from T2 to T4 directly, then T3 will remain the same for next week.
Free servers transfert closure soon. Join up the adventures my friends !
Regards.
Hey Titan. I respect your enthusiasm, but could you consider stopping attempts to recruit from these two servers while we are actively playing them? It’s really not in the best of taste and comes off as disrespectful to our opponents, even if you don’t mean it that way.
Sorry kain has zero small group roamers or soloers. All y’all do is zerg ppls faces off.
Well, at least that’s what you tell yourself anyway. Come on over and see for yourself why don’t you instead of telling us how it is from your side.
Edit: Perhaps you are actually on Kaineng? I should have asked first. But, you’ll also note that I never said “solo or small group roamers”. I said “smaller group fights”. Solo in higher tiers is obviously not going to be fun or worth while. There’s lots of fun back and forth fights, relatively speaking. It’s the only kind of fighting I do in there.
(edited by ghtchill.7613)
It may be my suspicious nature but I have an inkling that some of the Maguuma folk on this thread saying that they are leaving for bandwagon servers may have an ulterior motive
Was thinking that very thing…
Maguuma, you are kind of a weird bunch, aren’t ya. LOL
At least I seriously hope you are just doing your usual “don’t come here and please leave now” schtick. If not, OP aside, anybody who jumps from their server as soon as some adversity arises…well, it doesn’t bode well.
To the OP. I’m on Kaineng and we have lots of smaller group fights, even on reset nights. It’s by no means necessary to have to run in large zergs. We have tons of people who love small group WvW, despite our relatively new reputation as a ‘MEGA Zerg server". I have fun sticking to smaller back and forth battles and don’t have much trouble finding them, except perhaps later in the match up the last few weeks.
Also, there are longer queues for us now, so something to consider perhaps. I found the wait well worth it last night however.
Yak’s, you guys are my favorite server we’ve faced so far. I remember back in T8 I admired this server a lot, you are a funny bunch. I’m glad to finally fight you. You guys are GOOD.
Kain, your response times are great so far and I like that I saw smaller zergs running around instead of 1 giganto zerg. Keep it up, but learn to scout because Yak’s will have that over us every time.
CD? I didn’t really see you.
I’m sure we’ll meet sometime soon.
I totally agree with you Shaka. I didn’t see any huge KN zergs either, but then I rarely ever do. Perhaps it’s because of my time slot (west coast NA) or the fact I tend to look for the nice back and forth battles rather than following a huge zerg from gate to gate, I don’t know. However I am really starting to wonder if, perhaps, the often described “MEGA KN zergs everywhere” isn’t a slight exaggeration by some of our opponents.
Perhaps it’s somewhat like the stories the English used to tell about William Wallace (now popularly known as Braveheart), that he was a seven foot tall monster, swinging a gigantic Claymore that no other man could lift!
Or, maybe not…

I do as well, and my experience so far isn’t the same as yours. I certainly don’t get the feeling that our community will vanish at first site of a loss. Many on Kaineng were used to losing before the transfers and our subsequent rise. I feel confident that it will work out for us, but it remains to be seen.
Yes, the people who have been there from beginning aren’t likely to move and some of the guilds that have transfered there aren’t the wishy-washy types that give up at the first sign of resistance.
At worst, I see Kaineng settling in somewhere in the top teirs.
And that would be cool with us Oozo. Our Guild is a Kaineng original, and we generally feel pretty good about most of the transfers I think. We have been on both sides, losing and winning. We aren’t a big Guild by any means, but we are well established, with a great bunch of people. We’ll always be here.
So Oozo, when are you going to join us here on Kaineng?
Hopefully it works out for Kaineng then. In my experiences playing MMO’s when you get mass transfers it usually ends badly cause there is no “cohesion” or “server pride” I guess is better way to put it, and the littlest drama happens, it turns into a nightmare.

As I said, Kaineng actually has a very good WvW community and in fact has always had a higher than average WvW participation vs PVE from what I understand. This is what attracted other Guilds to begin with.
All I can say is; everything remains the same over and over, until it changes. I am hoping Kaineng is the server that breaks the “usual” cycle.
Sounds like you are in a bad time slot yourself, so I can definitely see why that would be no fun for you personally.
Having said all that, here’s hoping for more fun back and forth battles with YB and CD today! I’ll try to stay away from your thieves! You Thief are “very very very bad man!” shakes finger

Yes Tandy, we figured that out. The last few weeks have been that way, but honestly there’s not much we can do about it right now, yet we still get forum flack for it anyway. Most of us took last week and the weeks before off after Friday/Saturday, or leveled alts.
However, please don’t make this thread another QQ fest about transfers. That horse has been beaten into the dirt already!
Yeah, I know it has. However, its still something that negatively impacts a lot of people on the other servers, so while I totally get why its a stale topic….its still a valid one.
Right now on YBBL we finally got cliffside, soon as we took it a treb started in from Astral….we go to see whats going on and find an easy 40+ zerg waiting and its gone in less than 10 minutes. At least we got it for a few minutes though I guess.
Still I dont get why the transfer situation happened in first place. Once paid goes in, everyone is really screwed on these “bandwagon” servers that will rise up to have as big of a queue as they all originally transferred away from. It would have been more logical for everyone to spread out across all the servers instead of concentrating back on just a few servers and just repeat the problem over again, but again thats logical and most times people never do whats logical.
Okay, so why did all these Guilds transfer to Kaineng from high population servers to a lower one, only to rise to a higher population and back up the tiers? Simple answer, as they have explained over and over – Better WvW Community. Let’s leave it at that.
And, I seriously hope YB folks do not simply go back to PVE this week. Last night was fun and fairly evenly matched where I was, at the time I was on. Please keep coming out.
If Kaineng didn’t figure it out at all….if you never let the losing sides take anything…..and you own everything 24/7….its not only boring for them….but its also boring for YOU as well (unless you get off on zerging 20 people with a force of at least 50+ every time they sneeze, but thats a whole separate personalty problem)

Very fun evening guys! Yaks, you guys are great! I haven’t run into many CDs yet but spent most of my time (after finally getting in) in YBBL and a short time at EB in SM. Seems our NA guys did a good job getting to where we needed to be, holding a fairly close lead, into Oceanic prime time where our night time tigers went to work I see.
Also want to thank everyone for keeping this thread civil so far, Its the best match up, and best match up thread we have seen for a while now. Lets keep it up! Yaks and CD, you are proving to be a classy bunch so far.
Dhampyr, we must have missed each other last night at SM. Maybe you could have saved my silly Ranger from getting her butt handed to her by thieves several times! LOL.
Fell “victim” to the culling a couple as well…move forward to engage a couple of Yaks only to be suddenly surrounded by 30. OH NOOOOS! Much fun, lets keep it up. If the current match up forecast is correct next week will be the Mother of all Battles, in the meantime bring on more good fights this week
Hello from Kaineng,
It’s a very good idea. Congrats for taking the initiative for your server. This really is something Kaineng needs to consider as well. We are in very similar circumstances. We are enjoying the strong influx we have had but the fact is the last tiers have ben a big push at reset (I don’t even get online until about 7ish on Fridays) and the week is more than won in 2 days. It’s a good time to train.
I am hoping someone from Kaineng takes a similar iniative…funny I was just thinking about this today. We could definitely benefit from it when we meet Maguuma one day
PS
We will be watching your match next week with interest. Best of luck to you.
