As happy as I am with our current score, I would advise that we don’t get carried away. I am confident that we are the top T2 server right now. But the huge score difference you see is partly due to the fact that FA and TC hated each other.
They had been fighting each other non-stop and ignored us when possible.
I am not trying to bust your bubble. But we got a lot of improving to do if we want to get to T1 and stay there. T1 is a whole different beast. ^^
Yep! I agree, as I said though, the point is to get there to close the circle. That’s the point of my post CHIPS. How long we stay, coverage, and all of the other challenges are another story.
Of course we realize we would have a great challenge competing in T1, and I agree, we love T2. T2 has been a great place for Kaineng. The point of my post however is to simply say T1 would be the “completion” of a journey. I think we need to do it, simply for the symbolism…and to get some of those shiny medals all the other T1 guys have
Regarding WM; they have been, and are, awesome. WM, RE and the others who formed the NEO Alliance took Kaineng on the journey we have been on these last few months. They were the leaders of a revolution of sorts. Looking back, what always stands out in my mind were the predictions of failure, that we would fall apart just like the other “bandwagons”. What makes us most proud (I think) is the fact that this didn’t happen and the Guilds of the NEO Alliance became a strong cohesive community that blended so well with the “old” Kaineng.
On this note, I’d actually like to hear more from WM. We never hear much from them on these forums, perhaps due to the drama and accusations that occurred during our rise up, not sure, but I would like to hear what they have to say about their journey from the top, to T8, and back again.
In the meantime we have taken up BG’s old position as the gatekeeper of T2. “They Shall Not Pass!” LOL…just love saying that! And we have our hands full with our old TC friends and new FA friends as well.
BG, perhaps we’ll see you soon, if only for a visit. Now if we could get a slight bolster to our NA and gain a Euro coverage as well…hmmmm…
…but that would be a new story.

Personally I don’t think Dolyaks get near enough credit. Those poor hard working creatures lugging our supplies back and forth, putting up with serial killers constantly stalking them. Dolyaks don’t have it easy. I strongly advocate more armor and weapons for Dolyaks and all servers should hold a weekly celebration of the Dolyak!

If servers have the right to post recruitment style threads (which they should), then other servers should have the right to refute any claims the recruiting server makes. All is fair in the game of war, right?
please ignore the misguided, self serving opinions of a few malcontent individuals from certain other servers.
Using the above quote as an example, calling other people names and trying to start a flame war shouldn’t be an allowed tactic. Frankly, I’m surprised ANet hasn’t removed that post yet. They seem to be about as consistent as a NBA referee.
Regardless, state your claims and future dreams for your servers! But be prepared to have those claims challenged.

I just noticed your post and therefore I am remiss in answering it. You are absolutely correct. I should not have given in and become part of the problem that I thought I was trying to combat. So /salute to you for correcting me.
However, having said that, I do not agree that putting up a recruitment thread to fill gaps we want to fill gives others the “right” to throw mud in our direction.

They do join us, but as they are PVE oriented new PVE content will lure them away. My own guild only does an actual WvW night once a week, although we have several that spend quite a bit of time there. I myself, spend the great majority of my time in W3 since I am not a dungeon running fan. But we are only a small guild.
I have to say however when I have 8 guildies running supply, defending towers, yak slapping and yak running, they are great. It’s the little things the zerg can’t take time to do that sometimes makes a huge difference.
So what we need is a slightly more dedicated NA and a EU presence.

Excuse me I was complimenting TC on their PvP prowess. Maybe you should guest on one of the other servers so you can hold hands and throw roses at each other.
Ooooh. Great idea. I could only improve upon it by suggesting we all get naked and dance in the moonlight throwing roses at each other! It would be like a costume ball, only without costumes..and roses! If I were an Anet dev I would implement this!
Guy’s we’re way behind on the forum wars, just look at TC/DB/Mag, but then again, I’m enjoying the show, so I can’t complain.
The thing I love about FA: we’re competitive, we’re ambitious, and we’re driven. We had our taste of T2, and it was hard punch, but that’s all we craved for the last 3 weeks.
Don’t underestimate us, or do, and we’ll take you by surprise.

What a great match up thread. Really its the way things should be. It’s very serious out on the maps, but why not have fun in here afterward. It reminds me of the post game Beer Ups when I played Rugby. Very serious during the game, much clashing and even blood, but afterwards hilarious drunken fun and occasional nudity, everybody was friendly.

TC you guys are great. I highly endorse anyone’s decision to move to your server! You guys really deserve it. Come back to T2 soon. Kaineng will miss you
So people if you are looking for a fun, classy server with skilled players and guilds, who even when losing have the good grace to stay positive and respectful to their opponents, join TC!
And of course they have Dolyaks. I fully expect to see a lack of Dolyaks around the maps in T2 next week. TC I am not sure you’re allowed to take those…but I never saw nuthin! Take BG’s Dolyaks too…just sayin.
Tier 2 is the highest tier you can get to where wvw is still about fun. After that it is total war where anything goes.
Total war… in a game. I just don’t understand that attitude and I have loved the attitude BG and Kain have brought to the match. You have to play to win, anything else is disrespectful to your opponents, but playing to win is not winning at all costs. In the end we’re all playing to make the game more enjoyable for each other and you never know whose team you’ll be on next week, next match or next game – to forget that is madness.
If this is our last week together for awhile, thanks for all the fish, and I’ll be cheering for your success and awaiting our epic rematch in the future!
This is wisdom, and this attitude (found in all three servers) is what made this matchup epic. Even while BG flips everything as quickly as we can get it back it seems, I’m having a blast in WvW. As a matter of fact, this feels a bit like the old days of T8, when we couldn’t quite keep up with DR but gave it our all every single night. Awesome week, guys.
Cheers for that buddy! Those fights were probably a few weeks before my entry into T8 Kaineng, so in a way I am part of the Kaineng that was born of that, but I am glad I got to see them from here. kitten I pretty much leveled my second 80 in WvW during our rise through the tiers and time here in T2. That Ranger of mine was raised in war and is better for it!
To me this is the best match up ever. We look forward to new match ups…even though we hate to bid farewell to these two rascals who have entertained us so well here for the past few weeks. So let’s give fond farewell (although I feel they will be back) to TC and welcome FA. BG…I think we’ll still see you next week, so KN, time to get back to “work”. Let them not pass so easily
