Yep, you get dyes. When you get an unidentified dye as a drop you’ll get a random color. After that go into your Hero screen (H), click on the… eye dropper icon at the top of the Hero screen and it’ll take you to the dye screen. You start off with a number of dye and you get more through drops.

My thief has 10k health. Or at least that’s what my stats say; I should go to an 80 zone just to be sure. I mainly put my points in Crits and Toughness.

And wouldn’t it be nice if they fixed that invulnerability issue with mobs including some skill point bosses underwater, like that winged creature in Mt Maelstorm or Timberline Falls, not sure which. I had that boss down to 1/3 of HP no less than 3 times and each time he would run away fully heal then come back at me till he finally killed me. The thing is, its not even a big area, a small lava cave underwater and I basically stayed in one spot where I first challenged him, but he still kept running away from me far enough to go invulnerable fully heal and only when he was full health would come back to attack me again. I was only able to complete the skill point on the next day, when another person came along and we basically pinned him to the wall.
But I see this all the time u/water and Orr is notorious for it. It often happens on land too but not as frequently as u/water. Put it this way, u/water combat was one the tings I really looked forward to in gw2 and at the beginning, I actually loved it. Then came the Invulnerability thing and it spoiled it for me to a point where i now dread going underwater. So hopefully they’ll fix this soon, so I can enjoy u/water exploration once again.

I got around this by giving my Charr characters dumb names. After I create them I look at their features and give them a name based on that.

Charr Guardian = Snow Spot

Charr Warrior = Mist Strype

No one in their right mind would want those names.

Thieves’ #3 skill made me like underwater combat. Hit 3 and counter a group of enemies.

Dragons don’t like me because I don’t get rares from them anymore. A lot of blues and greens but no rares. I just have to pound their faces a little harder next time.

I like listening to this every now and then during Dynamic Events and my Personal Story.

I’ve been having this happen to me too. Just now actually. The game would encounter a problem and would ask me to send a report to Arena Net by clicking send report. After that my game would close and when I click play it would tell me to re verify my game data.

What am I expecting? Not much. I don’t expect much because I don’t know what I want. I do know that my guildmates and I will have fun, so I’m looking forward to it.

I want Falkor to be a dragon in this game.

A spear or halberd would be awesome; I was always a fan of those weapons. And no, underwater spear does not count ><

If you really just want the weapon, I can point you to a site where you can buy them with Paypal. They’re tradable for a reason, yeah.

If you paypal it, yes, it is just pixels and prob’ly not worth it. If you do the legwork yourself, it’s worth considerably more.

On a side note, is buying items through paypal allowed by the game rules?

And yep, long term goal. Once I start running dungeons with my guildmates I can start raking in more money. I just need those pesky lodestones.

I really want to get The Incinerator. That’s the name of the legendary dagger, right? I think the main thing stopping me is not the gold (I can get that in time), it’s the lodestones. I don’t have the patience to gather 100 of 2 different lodestones so I just won’t get one.

Though, I’ll more than likely gather some of the materials at random times and see how far I get for funsies.

If you still plan on playing thief for PvE, try out Dagger/Pistol thief. That’s what I use and it works pretty well. The 3 skill teleports you to your target and makes it blind for one hit (it’ll miss the next hit), while the 5 skill blinds every enemy that’s close to you so you won’t get hit (much) and when doing a heartseeker when it’s still active stealths you so you can backstab an enemy.

My thief is a Crit and Toughness build (30 in both areas with 10 points in Power). My other guildmates who are glass canon builds do a lot of damage (in orr they were eating Risen health away) but they didn’t last as long as I did =P

When I started off playing online games I was very unsociable, mainly because I was very shy. Even when I joined a guild with a mumble server I would stick to typing because I was nervous to straight up talk.

Now though, I usually accept random group invites, talk on mumble and other things. For me it took time, that could be one reason why most gamers are unsociable. Another would be some people just want to play this as a single player game and rely on themselves rather than look for other people they don’t know to play with.

What I find annoying is getting caught in the environment when I’m dodge rolling and still getting hit. Basically, the giant at the town of Nageling. There are times when I dodge roll to avoid his stomp attack only to get caught in the environment, not move anywhere and then get one-shoted (with my thief. Warrior is no problem since I can take the hits just fine).

I didn’t need to read your whole post, all I needed to read was the title and knew what this was about. Yes, F the Dredge. I hope the dragons line them up and take turns molesting them.

When the first posters warning players to be careful in the water popped up, some of my fellow guild member tried translating it (Reddit beat them to it). One of them translated squirrels and thought it was squiddels. We immediately changed his mumble name to squiddel.

For people who are doubting these guys, they’re fighting my server (Yak’s Bend) this week. Off-hours we claim a majority of the orb…scoring thing. During Prime Time though FA comes out swinging and puts up one heck of a fight.

When a guild member told us they were staring at 20 some odd golems I thought he was exaggerating.

I play a dagger/pistol thief and I get destroyed on a regular basis, but that’s just because I suck.

Sylvari Thief, finished it about 5 times. My guildmates did it a bunch of times too.

My guild members and I were doing the Clock Tower Puzzle for hours. All but 1 of us got it, some of us ran it multiple times to get Trick or Treat bags. After trying it for hours you pretty much memorize where to go.

I saw this too when someone in my guild brought it up on Mumble. I hope I can make it. Or at least get the materials so I can get someone I know to make it.

I honestly didn’t know The Mad King Thorn’s outfit had those abilities (fear and whatnot) until I read them this morning. I just liked hitting the 2 and 3 skills because I want to hear him laugh and tell a joke. I’ll make sure to do those skills away from the event areas.

Mad King town clothes with the Phantom Hood. Also, while on mumble my guild members found Mad King armor (Light, Medium and Heavy) on the GW2 database. Anyone know how to get it?

There was a GoM defender camping the vista at Spiritholme. He shot arrows at me and another person trying to climb up to it. All I have to say is, well done. I actually found it pretty funny, especially when we fully focused on getting up there and didn’t notice the 5 GoM players sneaking up behind us lol

As a Yak’s Bend player, I don’t want to see any fellow Yaks gloating or chest bumping about what’s going on. Let’s keep this classy (that means no spawn camping either guys. Seriously).

If I see a dead player just lying there and not respawning, I run up to him with fireworks and give him/her a show.
