Yak’s Bend
Lincoln Force [BOMB]
You kids, Mesmers always wear green.
Darn right they do! mesmer high five
Legendary crafting is first on my list.
Not as mix and match like I usually do with my characters.
Fanged Dread Mask
Savant Coat
Savant Gloves
Savant Leggings
Dry Bones Shoes
I also made sure not to have pink or purple on my mesmer since that seems to be a thing a lot of mesmer players do. Kind of like my rule of not using any black on my thief.
In my opinion, if you get all the way to the end without getting caught it should complete that heart. Having to do it all over again is a pain in the butt.
Ranger Greatsword skills clearly visible
^^^^
I called my mesmer Lo Bridge. I bet you can’t guess why =D
At least in my case, you’ve already won that bet. I seriously have no idea. He looks kinda uhm… special, though. ^^
Because he’s an Asura which means he’s short. =D
I called my mesmer Lo Bridge. I bet you can’t guess why =D
Oh Russia, you so crazy =D
I agree that it takes a while to make but I kind of got bitten by the ascended bug. I eventually broke down and made a Wupwup Claymore (celestial) for my mesmer, not for the stats, but for the look. Now I’m kind of contemplating making the green one because green is my favorite color ._.
I ended up turning it off when I used to play in WvW. Trying to use a skill to escape from certain death only to have the auto target lock you on to an enemy player behind you was kind of frustrating.
I kind of find the tab to target kind of bad in all MMOs too. Maybe I’m just messing up but why does the game, at times, target an enemy 40 feet away instead of the one to my left? When you’re playing a ranged character, especially underwater, it causes you to pull more enemies than you’d like.
Wait.. I’m so lost… I thought the Sylvari were born from the Pale Tree?
So was that a lie? Is the Mother Sylvari just one of Mordremoth’s Lieutenants ?Where is this all explained? I’m so confused now.
In the last episode of the Living Story.
My Charr punting the raptor is from the beta.
The Shatterer pic was during the first month of the game’s release.
Roland East, because the Human male is voiced by Nolan North. I know it’s dumb. Leave me alone!
Runs away
I’d like to know this as well. I’ve been focusing on other characters and have been neglecting my ele. He’s mainly a staff ele now but I’ve been toying around with dual daggers. So far I like it but I have no idea how to spec for it (trait and gear wise).
Got my Ranger looking just to my liking.
Helm: (Hidden)
Shoulders: Stalwart Shoulders
Chest: Carapace Jerkin
Gloves: (Hidden)
Pants: Marauder pants
Boots: Leather Shoes
This is really nice. I like how simple it is and not flashy. Nice job =D
My Sylvari have not embraced the dragon. You’re not my real dad Mordremoth!
Yes, I love this game but I want more reasons to log on and play some more instead of one day every two weeks for a biweekly episode in the Living Story. This is exactly what I wanted to see. Well, not everything I wanted to see but it’s pretty darn close.
Because building maps is probably a lot of work.
Which they manage every two weeks during LS…
You really don’t think they build new maps every 2 weeks, do you? I’m no game designer (or programmer) but even I know that they build these maps long before they release them in each episode.
Yeah, they need to be bigger with multiple castles. And a palace! =D
They are shortening Halloween because it was too confusing and overwhelming for new players.
How do I Halloween?
I logged on to see how ridiculous it became on my 80 Ranger and man, this is kind of crazy. I couldn’t stop laughing whenever I did Rapid Fire, and no matter how much I want it to stay I know it shouldn’t stay the same. If they don’t fix this by the time the WvW Tournament starts we’re going to see a lot more angry posters and WAY more Rangers on the field.
I won’t but that’s mainly because I’ve gotten my altoholic cravings out of my system. I have 8 classes at 80 so I will never need to create another character again. From what I’ve been reading on the forums ANet stripped down the early levels like crazy.
What was loosened?
YB has a great community and a stable population, join us!. yaarrr for the bend!!
Yea, what freess said. We’re stable and with a great community.
We’re also not yet criminally insane, so we have that going for us as wellBump for visibility!
Um… nevermind. Don’t mind me. For the Yak!
Not much of a fan of underwater combat which sucks because I LOVE being underwater.
some pov fakes with box of chocolate
Were you using /sleep during these screenshots or was this from vistas?
Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue

#OrYouKnowUseTheTPAsItWasIntendedIfYouDoNotWantToGetScammed
I don’t think that hashtag will catch on; it’s far too long.
Sure, I’ll support this. We need a new weapon. Well, we need a lot of new things, but yeah, we need a new weapon.
My Charr Engineer is named Nascharr. My guildmates and I were up late months ago making up puns for names and I decided to make my Charr Engineer.
I want to know why other Charr (NPCs) don’t run on all fours. Seriously, that’s been bugging me more than it should.
That must’ve cost you a pretty penny.
I said this on map chat but I’ll put it here too. The only way I can see ANet putting mounts in this game is if it came with an expansion and the expansion involved going to another chunk of land. Let’s say, for example, we go to Cantha.
ANet can say something along the lines of, “The Asura haven’t been able to put waypoints in this new land because reasons. So here you go, ride this thingy around if you want, but you can only ride it in this land.”
Saying that they can just as easily say that “A group of Asura went ahead of everyone, scouted around and installed waypoints around the map”.
I’m kind of indifferent when it comes to mounts. If they add them then that’s cool, I’ll work towards getting one. If not then that’s fine too. We’ve survived this long without them, right?
In the Grove a Sylvari woman and Sylvari man are talking about her travels and she talks about how Hoelbrak is her least favorite place because of how cold it was.
seems like too much work. XD haha is there a group that do this? or a guild perhaps.
I was running around Dredgehaunt when I began reading emotes that were like, “So-and-so nods to so-and-so.” And, “everyone sits down around the fire”; when I went up a hill near a campsite I saw 7 Norn players getting back up and emoting whatever it was they were role playing. It was interesting and I wanted to just sit there and watch them.
Yeah, I just noticed this today. No audio whatsoever from my Hidden Pistols F2 skill.
How about we give Elementalists and Engineers the ability to swap weapons in combat first? Yes, I know, Elementalists can swap between elements and Engineers can use kits but I’d rather switch from, say a pistol + shield Engineer to a rifle; or a dagger + scepter Elementalist to a staff in mid combat without having to either, A) run away to get out of combat or, B ) Kill everything first before I can switch out my equipped weapon.
I know this will more than likely never happen but one can always hope.

This is my Charr Engineer, Nascharr
I don’t believe so, no. In my mind however, I feel like they’re using the Living Story as a bridge between the original game and an expansion. What I mean is, at the end of this or maybe a future Season of the LS they can use it as a way to set up an expansion to the game.
For me, that’s the only thing I can see them doing with this because, if that’s not what they’re doing with the LS, they’re messing up big time.
Here’s my Ranger, Bramble Longshot. It looks kind of plain and I don’t really standout, but that’s what I like about it. Rangers aren’t supposed to stand out.
You just have to fiddle around in the wardrobe to find something that works. Mixing up different armor with cultural armor (for 2 of my Sylvari) has worked. Here are my Sylvari Thief, Warrior and Ranger. I like mixing armor when possible so I don’t look like anyone else in the game.
A lot of guilds from T2 are moving to YB in the eleventh hour. Prepare your kitten YB, you are being boarded.
What? Why?!
It’s surprising how many people want one of the characters to be a traitor.
First thought that came to mind, if you remember Trahern mentioned that the pact was originally planning on going after whats his face, the crystal dragon. First though after the cut scene was that the pale tree wants us to find a way to get Mord and Kalk to meet and fight one another. This would allow us to swoop in for the kill and take out 2 dragons at once.
The theory of finding Glin’ts egg is a good one too. Could go hand in hand. The Zephs had the egg, which is why that one Sylvari sapatoughed them, to try and get it, but the master took off. He may have been taking it to the ley line to hatch. Or if the egg is out in Glint’s lair, then Kalk may be nurturing it as a new champion.
All good stuff.
Oh man, that would be so cool! I’m going to be so sad when that doesn’t happen.
I just got back from my first Fractal run in… almost a year? The last time I ran Fractals was during the early months of its release and I barely got past level 3. I have to say that I found myself enjoying it again, and that is mainly due to the friendly people I got to play with (minus one person that rage quit).
If you’re unsure that you want to try and get the Pristine Fractal Relics because you don’t want to run Fractals with a group of players that will be super toxic or demand a specific build (This was why I stayed away from the LFG Tool) then try looking for Level 1 runs.
With Level 1 runs you’ll, more often than not, run across like-minded players that are there for the same reasons you are.
When I saw the Pristine Fractal Relic was required for the ascended vine back piece, I was incredibly distraught. Because of this one requirement the entire thing felt unobtainable.
I too had a terrible experience early on with Fractals, and constantly found myself having to deal with rude comments about both myself and fellow players that had the audacity to try and learn the mechanics of a Fractal during a respective dungeon run. Why didn’t we just use youtube? Why did the Fractal dungeon take 90 minutes rather than 20 minutes? Why did you bring a Necromancer? Noobs.
It was toxic and off putting.
But you know what happened? After I was bummed out about this requirement I returned to the Fractals of the Mist starting area and joined a casual group using the LFG tool. I met some nice people in there, and had a fun (and rather quick) run at the dungeon culminating in 1/5th of the necessary Pristine Relics for my sought after item.
I have also run several more fractals since then and am finding myself enjoying them enough that I would do them even after I have enough Pristine Relics for the vine.
For all those that are frustrated about this, I think there are a few things to remember:
1- Fractals has had its difficulty and reward structure revamped since a lot of us last played.
2- The LFG tool is very handy and a lot of talented dungeon players can be met in there.
3- You might sometimes have a bad experience, but more often than not you will meet good people online.
4- Ignore snarky comments and be sure to follow the lead of experienced players. You don’t really need someone shouting commands at you and you can figure out most of the mechanics by observing others in these Fractal dungeons.
5- Almost all players are in full exotic nowadays, and most are probably in a mix of Ascended/Exotic gear. When Fractals came out, a lot of players were using green and yellow gear and this made the dungeons particularly difficult.
I am not opposed to having other options for purchasing a Mist Stone— in fact I think it is a great idea to have WvW be a second avenue for this. However, I also feel that players should give Fractals a shot and be sure to run with at least a few fellow guild mates for the best possible outcome.
So, I did some googling and the only info I can find on getting Pristine Fractal Relics were from 2013. My character is like Fractal Level 3 or something, if I go in and do a full run will I get a Pristine Fractal Relic at the end of it?
In the time that this thread has been going on I ran all 5 fractal tiers and now have 5 pristine relics.
Less whining and more playing and you could of finished it by now.
What are the tiers? My warrior can only do up to level 3 or 4. I rarely run dungeons because I don’t think I’m good so I don’t want to drag the team down.
I like when he was trying to guess her age, that got a good chuckle out of me.
The minute they introduced her I knew she was going to die. She seemed like a throwaway character when you first meet her.
Why do I run? Well, because I suck at PvP, that’s why.
