Congrats to the people who got their Legendaries! I’ve been thinking about which one I want to go for, I originally wanted to go for The Incinerator, but then I burned out on the game while grinding for the materials. Now though, I think I might go for Frostfang. I’ve been throwing level 80 rare axes in the forge everyday hoping to get the precursor to drop.

I do it once when I log in, before the World Boss/Event train and twice before logging off. If I stick with it I may end up getting the precursor to drop.

They saw my Charr doing his funky dance to burn down an effigy and swore to stop me by crashing the celebrations. Sorry guys, it’s all my fault ._.

Hi there fellow Guilder…. Warri… people, I’m working on my 5th 80 and I decided to make a Charr Engineer named Nascharr. Problem is I have no idea how I should spec him. I’m using a pistol and shield (I really like the 3 skill and the shield abilities) and I’m mainly using the Flamethrower kit and Wrench kit (another shield is good =D ).

Right now I’m leveling my character in Southsun Cove, so I only have the first skill book. I’m waiting until I get to 60 so I can buy the last two skill books (at 50 or something right now) but I’d like to have a build in mind before I do that.

I’m mainly a PVE player so that’s where my character will spend 99% of his time. I want to hold my own in a fight but I still want to be survivable. Is that even possible for me?

I really wanted to give my Charr green spots though, but even with the total make over kit on the gem store you can only give your hair wacky colors.

How do I report gold sellers? Not in game, I know how to do that, but on the forums. I received a pm from one today (just now actually since I just logged in to my account) and I clicked the flag to report the post however I have to type something in before I can submit it. What do I type in the box?

To get your basic abilities, just kill things (players or mobs) and you’ll get your basic attack skills. So, say you have a greatsword; just kill things with the greatsword and you’ll eventually get all the moves for that. Same goes for underwater weapons. Just remember that weapons are limited to what class you have. Greatsword, for example, is limited to Guardian, Warrior, Ranger and Mesmer.

Your Utility skills(is that what they’re called?), 6-0 on the action bar, require skills points. You get those from leveling up and doing skill point challenges (blue arrow icons on map). This involves killing something or just hitting a key and communing with it.

I want to take my 38 Guardian into WvWvW, is that a good decision? I’m mainly asking because of the gear difference and that I’ll more than likely get destroyed by proper 80s. Not that I don’t get destroyed enough in WvW because… well, because I suck at PvP lol.

I’ve been running with /0/0/30/20/20 for a week and am liking my survivability but I haven’t found good gear to go with it. Plus, I’m working towards my legendary so I’m trying not to spend gold on things that aren’t working towards it, which sucks whenever I get through watching videos like this =(

I love Divinty’s Reach, I just can’t stand being there for more than 5 minutes. The… murderous laughs I hear when I’m in the city causes me to search for the exit immediately.

Compared to that, Lion’s Arch is fine.

@coffeebot I believe Bolt is the sword (1h) and Quip is the pistol. Another guild member of mine is going for Bolt. But yeah, everything you said is true.

I’m going for Incinerator while a fellow guild member (another thief) is going for The Dreamer since he really likes using short bows. But yeah, all personal preference.

Seems to be the case, I really like unique looking weapons and that one looks so cool. It kind of looks like a Chinese weapon called Deer Antler Knives. Pardon me as I go to sit on the beach at LA while sad orchestral music plays.

This is Usoku’s Needle. Kind of plain looking when you compare it to Moonshank and the Fractal dagger, but I like it =)

Have threads like this ever work for our server? I notice that other servers have luck with recruitment threads but I wanted to know if we had any luck with it.

Yak’s is a great server. They put up a great showing in T3 despite having easily the lowest population out of TC/CD/FA/YB, and they make their numbers count. Looking forward to your return to T3 with more population to bring the pain!

I’ve been using Dagger/Pistol thief for a while (rarely use Dagger/Dagger except when I fight Dredge) but now I’ve started to use Pistol/Dagger in WvWvW. Anyone know a good build for P/D?

I’m getting a real “Groundhog Day” from this.

Hi there. I started to experience lag today, well, it started an hour ago, and I’ve never really had this happen before. Actually, if you count the head start then this has happened before. Like some people have stated I’ve been getting 2 to 3 seconds of lag when using abilities but not when I’m running around or dodge rolling ( At least I don’t think I’m lagging when doing that).

Before today I’ve had little to no problem with lag in this game. Just thought I’d let you guys know.

I enjoy and respect the presence of Yak’s Bend in Tier 3. What they lack in manpower, they compensate with tactical and strategic ingenuity. They strike with precision; they do not waste resources on our heavy fortifications, and always strike us where our guard is down.

A recent example is an incident at Cragtop. Knowing that few people would expect an attack there on a monochrome map, ARMA from Yak’s Bend managed to quickly steal the tower and build several Superior Ballistas and Arrow Carts. The siege would hold off wave after wave of our infantry; by the time we overwhelmed them, we had lost a significant portion of our map (which we later took back quickly due to our superior population size).

A more populated Yak’s Bend would mean a greater commitment to organization for the Tarnished Coast, if we intend to maintain our lead.

One thing though; you Yaks clearly have no desire to preserve the beautiful peace within the Jumping Puzzle when you have the advantage there. Yes it’s supposed to be a war, but that’s exactly what makes the peace beautiful!

Have my fellow Yak’s been camping the EB JP? I thought FA still had control of that since I’ve been killed by them anytime I think about looking in there. I guess some of them got angry and decided to camp it themselves. That’s not cool at all =(

Honestly, I never understood the people that complain about the players in the Jumping Puzzles, telling them they are hampering wvw…but never mention the other people that are “wasting space”. Why don’t you complain about the people that go afk at the entrance portals, or the people that seem to just sit in front of the TP? Why don’t you complain about the non 80s running around…surely they should be replaced by an 80.

The EB jumping puzzle for my WvWvW match has been camped by FA for a few days. It’s been real annoying. We just want the badges! The badges!

Some people just take WvW more seriously than other people. I’ll hop on every now and then to help out my server, but I usually like going for the jumping puzzles and getting 100% map completion.

You get there through a mystic portal located in each starting fort…thingy in EB. There are, or were (didn’t check for a few hours) FA players camping there. Mainly at the entrance at the top (left or right) and some manning ballistas across the broken bridge.

If you knew this then this is for anyone that didn’t know. If you all knew then I wasted my time and that made me sad ._.
