I entered Lions Arch late last night (eu) only to see the destruction caused….with my asuran device recording my action we wondered through with our horde, but not even that could destroy our foes.

So general question to those that are so begrudged to entering WvW for the living story:

How long did you actually spend getting the golem parts? 20 mins?

Compared to WvW players having to spend a significantly larger amount of time going into PVE which they may dislike just as much to get a legendary. Dont turn this game into one which the forums control, mixing it up is important in an mmo I applaud anet for the crossover.

@Solo, Id be worried if the Minor traits in this build were the main reason for it (cough cough Grandmaster fresh air trait/name of build)

Also your right, mentioning minor traits is VERY important aswell I would agree.

I think this is actually the only video Ive made that I havent mentioned them but appreciate the feedback guys

The point is we do play pve aswell

The WvWer has to go into PVE more than the PVE player comes to WvW, so if you think about it that way why wouldnt Anet market WvW to the PVE player a little more? It makes perfect sense.

Well well well.

I love pvp and pve in this game so the mix for me is great A few reasons why Anet have done this imho:

1, The aim I feel is to bring these three communities closer together: Spvp,WvW and PVE.

2, The actual amount of WvW you have to do for the legendary is nothing compared to the PVE content and farming you need to do to get one, how do you think the WvW player feels?

3, People who despise any kind of WvW/PvP content maybe try it out see how it plays. Get into a group change up your play, trying something new cant hurt.

In the end Anet have gone for a new map type and design, I love the change up and cant get enough.

Here we had tons of fun in a small group of tennish people, then it even got to 5-6 yea we died, but isnt it more about the small scale fights and fun thats had than the zerg fest?

In my opinion as a guy who used to frequent WvW and now mainly focuses on SPVP and casting I LOVE the EOTM map!

Smal scale fighting is just awesome here, anti zer fights are a lot easier aswell with small corridors to fight in and new mechanics such as NPCs repairing gates etc which is just great!

I applaud the devs of this map, it brings back the fight for me which is what WvW imho should be about!

Bottom line is guys, why should it be taken out? is it because:

1, It has little to no use in team fights
2, Cant kill a kitten on its back waving a white flag
3, Its sole purpose is to decap

A guardian can bunker a point 1v2 for a matter of time, Isn’t that similar/the same?

Just because an engi has CC and knocks that make up for a use of utility or team support why should that get taken away? I have seen currently 1 team use it in streamed fights since its been around. Imho this is a spec which will slowly phase out but be changed here and there according to team makeup and personal fun/preference.

Whoever said this is similar to HamBow is also having a Giraffe. HamBow has sustained dps and survivability. Engi decapper has Survivability, CC and that’s it. If you die to this spec then your doing it wrong. Also if you run it in Skyhammer you’ve won, I understand that frustration all too well. Generally people don’t like a build they QQ until it goes away, personally id rather find a way to combat it and fight on, would a team bring in a decap engi over a more useful team player? i think no…

I think in PVE if your looking for a build there, traits could be switched.

I.e. getting the trait which enables minions to take conditions from you is one idea.

Staff is mainly for 3 reasons. 1 the condi cleanse 2, The fear 3, the staff 2 ability which heals yourself allies AND minions. Not using a staff in a Minion build imo isn’t the best of ideas but you do see it

Thanks dude again Ill give those traits a bash with the runes I play with aswell

so we saying basically guys that a swap out of SY for Sanctury may improve this build? I loved Sanctuary for many reason I used to run it in a hammer build I had a while back.

I like the Idea of the purging flames going in there. I think one reason I like save yourselves is its really for me aswell as removing condis on allies. All those boons when your looking like going down? Yes pls ! But yea logically I see the use of the other feedback.

The runes of Rata Sum I will check out for sure. Im also checking out another variation of the build with abit more DPS I may pop it in here or on a seperate Video. The changesd arent massive but it may warrent a video rundown.

What do you like the most about the Rata Sum runes? Could you explain why you feel they will benefit the build more than the grove?

Im trying some varients again of this build.

I do believe there is a lot of room for change in this build and there isnt one way to play or trait it which I think is awesome

I like that if you want to be a bunker or support/dps you have a lot of variation with an Engi

Vigor uptime trait I am trying atm on another engi. It was suggested to me however to go into infused precision on firearms to gain more swiftness get swift kits aswell etc and gain perma vigor!

Which is actually quite nice, so many variants! LOVE IT

^ been using the same build, but i like hoelbrak runes as u get more power and -20 condi duration. hgh rifle/nades is a lot of fun. buffs to B and S made it more viable.

I Will def try that variant out.
