Ok all I’m having a little dilemma about what I want to do next. I have a level 80 engi and guard. I main a engi but have a major love hate relationship with it.

I’m at the point where I am not sure what is next for it. Yes I have some map completion to get done but that’s easy.

I want a long term project do I push for ascended on my engi and enjoy what it brings to groups. Or level a ranger and try something different.

Your wisdom and help will be greatly recived.

WVW Condi build and what runes are strong for roaming. Also I here the healing runes will help bombs for zerging. Which runes should I use.

Hey guys I know ill get the run zerker or go home and cry stuff from some of you but I need advice. Im a engi. All round play. Play all game modes on my asuran engi. Believe it or not I just only got round to running a full set of zerker. Always have zerk, Knights and cavaliers. This would give me what I felt a good way to play my engi.

This I started reading about the meta build. As you can tell I was never one for meta. And I got some zerk gear and totted off to a vet giant stacked my might and looked at my numbers. I was surprised at how nice they looked. But I head into a dungeon and I get slammed to the floor 3 times. Feeling as squishy as a bug I did not like it. Well my question is. Is knights a good armour to run In pve. I have full zerk trinkets.

Using this now and been using it for awhile. But a mix of berserker, knights and cavaliers armour and trinkets.

Explosives
Bombs have bigging radius
Short Fuse
Grenadier

Firearms
This all depends on what im doing the only trait that I keep is modified ammunition.

Tools
Speedy kits or what ever is needed depends on the area.

I also run
Toxic Sharping Stone
Koi Cakes Giver Weapons.

I feel this helps with Modified Ammunition

Ill tell you from a engineer perspective we are far from boring. You either dont play, can’t play it or dont know how. Im gonna be pretty biased as I play engi. We may have to work harder than others but its a hell of a lot of fun doing it. Try it, run flamethrower, bombs and elixir S. Burn stuff, blow kitten up. And stealth away.

Hello all. I need your advice. I have 1 level 80. That being a engineer. Now im finding it stale at the moment and not sure why. Really not sure why. So I think a new Character would do me good.

Tried them all really but need to find a fun alt to bounce around on.

Mesmer is where im thinking but I cant get past the grind.
Warrior seems a good choice but will it be stale.

Hi guys I’m looking for advice on the above classes. I’m looking to change from engi to something different and the warrior or mesmer fits the bill. I play pve, Fractals, dungeons. Some wvw some pvp but this is to be my main.

I love a good mix of combat, ranged and melee with some nice aoe. I want in the long run to be able to solo champs, dungeons etc.

Hello guys I need advice on a race to roll for my guard.
I’m stuck between a Norn or a Asura. I love T3 Asuran Armour. But also love how a Norn makes everything look good.

Hi guys. I am trying hard to keep my engi as my main. I feel I am missing out on what other classes can do. For me I don’t really want to give up my engi and roll something else. But I want to feel I do more in these areas.

I’m running a HGH, high boon stack build. With nades.
30/0/0/30/10. Feels good at solo play. Keeping might up and so on. But I don’t feel I am doing enough for my party.

What I am looking for is a good solid build for the areas in the title, that does not run static discharge.

Also I want to know if anyone has solo’ed a dungeon or a champion with your engi. And what is the best build if you have.

It must be bugged for me. Because I totally understand what is being said. Your not understanding what I’m saying.

When I press my number 6 key to activate my med kit the might does not work. But on other heal skills like heal turret and elixir H it works.

The med kit for me is def not granting the might on using a heal skill

At the moment I have started running a big boon might stack type build. Works a treat love it.
Tonight i was playing with the heal skills and I have runes of Altruism on which we know give might when using a heal skill. All other heal skills work bar medkit. The toolbelt skill which is the heal does not work. Why is this.

It also does not work with the trait that gives you might when using a heal skill

I’m looking to stack up my boon duration to keep might up as long as possible. While still holding abgood position in dungeons and the like. I want to run mid level. So support and DPS.

Weapons of choice is FT/EG

So I have been wondering as engineers have you guys solo’ed dungeons and any champs. If so can I have advice on builds and what is the best to do.

I run a full bunker engi at the minute. This is because I have just started playing PvP. That said my bunker engi with 30pts in inventions is a build I won’t change.

To me Coglin is right that line has some hellish good traits that have saved me from dying.

Yes I can’t kill quick but my heal combined with my toughness makes me very hard to be killed. I will out heal and the slowly kill the enemy. I like this style. I would not change my PvP build. Not for a while.

I finished the tower like most of us. Got my self a new back pack. Looks amazing. Then I put my kits on. And I can’t show it off

Ran this or a very similar style build last night. And oh hell it was good. I was using elixir s which I love.

Found it very strong. And yup you can kill people. Does take time.

The reason I ask is I want a class different from the one I’m running. I have a level 80 asuran engineer. Yes its hell a lot of fun. With tons of viable options. I want to level and play something different for a bit. So I don’t bore myself of my engineer.

This is why I ask your advice. And so far its amazing to see what great and wonderful answers there are.

I’m a little stuck with what to make my next 80. And need your input with what makes you play the class you play. Why do you log on and keep levelling, levelling that class.

What are the current state of the Guardian Classes. Are they as needed in groups for dungeons, Fractals and so on.

Hello guys. I am looking to roll a new toon and have always been interested in thief’s. Problem is I see so much complaining on these forums it puts me off from rolling it.

So I ask in pve content and I mean all pve content are they viable and fun. My engineer is great fun on many scales. I love using it, but I do need to try something else.

I like to have a good learning curve. Not into easy stuff. This is why I would like to try this or a mesmer.

That Fractal looks like its the one where you have to shatter the statues armour plates and climb up to the boss fight.

I have created a new build for you guys to look at. Its what I’m running at the moment in this pve. Its called the Go anywhere pve build due to the fact I feel it works in all areas off pve. I have tried and tested it in dungeons and other content and so far works great.

Its a 3 kit build with healing turret.

It works well. You use the 3 kits depending where you are. Bomb kit is your main out right attack. With flamethrower used for tagging events. Elixir gun is used for its jump back and #5 skill along with all the others.

I have made a more hybrid build with burning will post later.

For me the engineer is like a family car that you keep going. Its a class that has everything going for it but has down falls. So does every class.

But like that family car I don’t car. The engineer is what makes me want to play this game. This class is amazing in different ways. I find other classes boring. Engineer skill level is high enough to keep you going. Then the builds you can create. The class it self is great I think in all areas of the game.

@Captain Swag I’m not bottles necked into running the meta builds I am running my own. That I’m putting a lot of hard work into making bombs is a big part of it. Why because I enjoy them. Kits like bombs and nades make a engineer its class along with other kits. There still is no reason behind this at all.

@jniel your playing bomb kits wrong if you feel they suck.

Hello all. I’m in the process if working on a bombkit build with FT and EG as the utility skills. I will post my build when am done with my final work.

The reason I ask about healing in PVE is I have 323 as my healing stat. My build is a hybrid I like a good mixture of all stats.

My build works around perma regeneration. Keep that boon constant.

But is it worth it with such low healing power. Or is around 300 fine.

I’ll have what ever the op is smoking. My whole build would be ruined if the nerfed bombs. I spend my time with my bomb kit. Its what makes me play my engineer.
