Having levelled a engineer I am at the point looking for a alt. One person said though once you have a level 80 engineer you would not any other class. I feel he is right.

I am also loosing the will to play the game.
So I need your help in a class to help me get my buzz back. A fun class. State why. I need your help.

I am thinking Ranger.

@Sobat what gloves would you recommend.

I’m guessing it’s worth levelling to 80 then.

Crafting no longer gives you the same since the nerfed it. So if do it I have to go from the start till the end.

Hello Mesmer’s I am a engineer venturing on the purple side of life.

I need some advice. For awhile I have admired and like the Mesmer class. I have been beaten by mesmers in PvP and wvw. To me there my greatest fights.

So I have got the attitude can’t beat them I shall join your ranks.
My problem comes to levelling them up. My god it’s so hard.

I need tips tricks and advice to get me going. Please anything to help.

What is the best spec for a tanking support engi that can deal good damage power or Condi damage and can hold the aggro up.
I look at playing dungeons and pve open content with a friend so I like to support the group as well.

Also what is a good full Condi spec engi. I never used one ans wand want to try it.

Hello guys I play a Engineer, and I have not started to look at looking to have a ALT.
I am struggling to find a good class to play other than my engineer.

I play PVE and I love my Engineer, I just do not want to get bored of my Engineer.

What I want to know is from you guys if you have a alt that you some times dust down and give a run or if you just run your engineers.

I am looking for something that will give me enjoyment and fun like the engi is doing but also plays different.

My playstyle is very much bunker type with decent offensive capabilities.

Yeah my human re roll is 14 same as you. It’s do I get the human on 80 just for looks. As the I will end up running the same build as the Asura

Ok guys. I have a level 80 Asura Engineer which is my main. Love the little critter to bits. Runs my personal build which I love to play.

My problem is looks. I have just rolled a human engineer for the fact they look good in medium armour. Then I brought the Magitech armour from the trade post and put it on my human as was like cool I like iron man.

Now I tried this on my Asura and he did not look to bad at all.
What I want to know from you guys is do I carry on with the human engi or just put it in my Asura.

As title says, massive lag then huge kick and now this

Here is how I use my build

EG
I use this when I need condi removal. Also #1 skill has good power damage so its a good weapon, with other skills its a great kit.

FT
Is for tagging big bosses and world events, tag and bag.

1. skill is great for this while it has a good range I like it as my tagging weapon.

Bombkit
is my up close and in your face. So laying bombs gives me the heals and I can stay there. While my tool belt also gives me healing via Regen.

I like the build but am open to change. My biggest thing is I have not settled on a main yet and want to make my engi my main. To me no other classes feel as fun, or as versatile as what the engi feels

Hello guys. I have a level 80 Engi. It’s my only 80 and the only other classes I will do is Necro and Guard.

Right my aim is main my Engi. No other class feels this fun to play. I have tried all the other classes a few times. The other 2 I have mentioned are the only ones I like. The engi though is fun.

What I need help with is my build. I need your advice in what you think of it and where I can improve it.

Hello guys. I am looking to roll a couple of classes but need to try and work out what is best to work on.

I have a level 80 Engi. Love running that as it’s a great class.

I have also looked at mesmer as a possible class to roll.

I play pve and WvW. Dungeons and love zerging. Fotm as well.
A lot of content I like.

So do necros cover this. Are they viable. Can you kill well with the class

Hello guys I am a full on engi player and love my main class to bits. But what I am looking at is rolling a mesmer.

I play WvW and PvE that’s my main area of content.
I’m looking to play a different class to my engi that always good damage. While being able to stay alive.

I know nothing about memsers at all and wish to have my knowledge broadened so I can see if it’s the right class for me.

Ok guys. I have a engi. Level 80 made a hybrid power condition build works lovely for how I play.

What I want is a good side project class. A class I can just play with ease and level up slowly.

I just seen this thread and I was like the op this class suck because this this and this.

So I rolled about 10 different classes trying different things. But I came back to my engi. And now my engi is my main ans I love it.

I don’t care about broken traits of if this could be better or that could do this. The fact is it’s a game and I find this class fun.

My hybrid build that I feel I made myself dishes out great damage from conditions and crits. Has a good toughness to boot with strong healing.

It’s a class I am very proud to play. Flamethrower for show my pistols for doh

It’s about having fun that’s all.

Hello guys. I need some good advice and hopefully you can set my gw2 main problems to rest.

I have been levelling a thief a feel it’s lack something’s that suit my style of play. Also I finding very hard in big mobs.

I’m a pve and WvW player. I understand thief is pretty much top dog in WvW but I hear there bring in some anti stealth.

Anyway to my question. Is it a good time to start a ranger. I have not rolled one. Not really looked at the class. I have

Something different from my two 80’s and the thief.

I tried all the other classes a few times. Rolled and re rolled.

What I’m looking for is a class that’s keeps my going. It’s has good amount of options.

I want range but good mele.

Good at surviving and a good dps output.

Hello guys. I am looking to run a new class. It’s for pve and WvW. The problem is I’m not sure what I should run.

I want to find a class that makes me want to carry on to 80. To get past the low level stuff and be rewarded.

I like the idea of conditions and I tried a ranger and they seem a bit boring and a bit flat. So looking to try something new.

I like the sound of good condition damage but also strong pve. I want to be able to enjoy the class as much as I do my engineer and guardian.
These both classes ate setup for high crit dmg.

So I don’t know a lot about either 3 classes I have listed. Some help and advice would be great.

Or if there is another class to look at please list it and explain.

Ok guys another post about which class to run, but I am really stuck on which one to give ago. I know very little about either class. I play a hell of a lot of pve mixing it with WvW as well. Never really any PvP.

it works around static discharge. Though I have not gone full zerker. I want some survivability.

Utility skills not picked. It’s just the stats I am looking at right now.

Hello guys. I have got my engi to level 80 and love it. Best class I have played so far imho. I’m very happy with it.
So happy it’s now my main.

Here is my problem. I am trying to work a build out. That is tanky and as good attack rate.

So here is my list of things I would like from my engi.

Solid DPS – this does not have to be over the top.
Strong Defence. .
Good heal.

I don’t want to use grenade kits.

My other question is do I need to out on condition damage armour or what is best.

All help would be lovely.

Dps is not a big worry for my necro. I want to destroy the enemy slowly.

What armour would you recommend.

Hello guys. I just started to play my 80 necro and looking to change the build I’m running.

I’m looking to go down the route of Damage/Siphon Build. If it’s possible.

This is for pve.

I want good damage. With good siphon so it always healing when attacking.

It’s for pve solo dungeons. It’s not a WvW build or good support. It’s a fun build to roam.

Over the past couple of days I have been playing with my Guardian build. I started on a tweaked version of the AH build and as I have been chatting to fellow guild members it’s a pretty standard Guardian build.

This lead me to find my own path. Now I personally love torch for my Guardian so wanted to get that into my build. After testing a few things I noticed torch #5 can do good crit dmg.

For my play style I like crits. I like the ideas of hitting hard. This build has a good damage output with also keeping the toughness. This build does not have any team support in healing but can still apply boons.

Can you do a hybrid guardian build. Good dps while taking a hit. But more dps. Does that make sense.

I have a Necro and Guardian already, but I want something totally different.

I am not really into Mesmer, maybe because I could not get it to work.

Hello guys I have decided today to roll back as ranger. Bow I deleted my first as I found it boring. The reason I am back is there good at solo pve I here.

Any tips for a pure pve and dungeon ranger.

So really you need a warrior or a guardian maybe a necro. Not going to do a necro. Maybe a mesmer will do the trick.

Right myself and a mate mainly do pve a lot. And its great fun we both roll necro’s and we decided to roll new classes. He has gone for a thief. I am looking for a class to complement the thief, given us the best power and best team work possible.

Well tonight I jumped into it. Manned up and made my warrior and it was a pleasant surprise. I did not like the sword at the start felt very boring but once I got a great sword and then double axe I was like wow this is cool. So far so good. I think I may enjoy it

I use WSAD for movement, And the number pad on the right of keyboard mapped out for all my skills.

Mouse is used for normal stuff

If you want to experience the best combat in GW2 and as well as any other MMOs then ele is your best choice. The DD ele has the most fluid and satisfying combat out of every class in this game, it is not merely spamming red circles and auto attack. Seriously, who ever designed the DD skill set is amazing. I will suggest to every player to try out the dd ele before they quit the game because it really makes every other class feel clunky and boring.

However, if you want to dominate PVE then ele is not your best choice but as long as you play well it will be fine.

Look OP we have no clue if you’ll find warrior boring or not. There are plenty of threads outlining the disadvantages of playing a warrior and some players will come here and give you the whole spiel again.

Here’s my answer to that NO. Earn come cash farm cof 1 or something get 40g or so and level a warrior to 80 in a day through crafting. No reason to get bored if you do that. Play it and if you dislike it at least you’ll have a farming toon for pve so you can cash up and level another toon you do enjoy.

I like my warrior. I play it almost exclusively in WvW and its my primary in PvE. As simple as the mechanics are it is literally the most challenging class because you get none of it for free. No extra HP bar, no free block every 40 seconds, no invul built into the class, no insane healing, no stealth, no clones, no ridiculous number of tools, and no pets.

We are the plain white rice among all the gourmet food. But like rice throughout MMO history despite the fads we are there feeding the community. This class is classical in its simplicity and honestly that’s the beauty of it. It so simple that I am still learning things about it.

I understand that these kind of threads can be seen as a bad thing. All I want to do is find a new class and not waste hours of game play.

I understand personally that Warriors have some major weapon choices and that all I got. I have also been told very good at dungeons.

Im just a mere mortal asking for some sound advice.

The boring bit is it just seems a bit of a mundane class, this is just mainly down to lack of experience with the class
