It means the exact opposite, you will never have to have sentries if you have a WP. As soon as you see white swords you can just WP in.
By the time you way point in after seeing swords, they’re already on the inner. Outers are always forfeit now.
This literally just happened to me before patch. I tagged South Gate WK. 30 Seconds later swords went up. 15 seconds later, their scout came to find me. I waved at him, and tagged the gate again. I laughed in map chat. IN THE TIME IT TOOK for this poor guy to run to south gate from north, our commander sup rammed down the north gate and went through to inner. By the time I tagged the gate the second time, they were in the lords room.
Whoever made this change clearly does not play the game.

Problem #1: So basically if something is just flipped, we’ll need someone posted at every gate to prevent golem rushes. These people can reward themselves by building seige, but without supply camps to BUILD seige, there is nothing they can do. Because blue prints only last 2 minutes, they can’t lay something, lose a camp, reflip the camp, and come back and finish it.
Problem #2: We won’t be able to keep camps past the initial five minute RI time period unless we have a significant amount posted there because if it gets zerged, even with a warning, it will be gone before response can get there. So it will be much harder to upgrade keeps past the paper stage, which makes problem #1 more significant.
Problem #3: This discourages people from upgrading anything, because it can be flipped at any time without warning. Reinforced gates with 5 golems already MELT. Even five superior rams can melt something in 30 seconds. Towers are pretty much forfeits. Upgrades cost GOLD in addition to time and effort. Access to waypoints? It will be much harder to even GET a waypoint, so gl with that.

If it gives Kaineng a better picture, DB was in our tier for the past month destroying us every night. Now they’re in Tier 2 utterly decimating the tier, though it’s too early to call technically, those scores don’t lie. I don’t know how much of that is bandwagon since they CLAIM they only gained a few hundred people, but I can say we really appreciate a more even fight now. If this is where Kaineng belongs, glad to have you.

Their most vocal forum members tend to be, when averaged out, better sportsmanship-py than most server’s most vocal forum members are.
Helps their server reputation a lot, but I suspect that their actual playerbase isn’t any better or worse than many other servers.
Their forum posters were actually quite condescending and mean but they’d always mask it with OMG look cute picture. They came to this tier and did basically the same thing that every green server on every tier in history has done, but with 20 posts a day almost all involving Angry Cat.

This is what Mag has been saying for months. Total score doesn’t really show anything, which is why we usually look for even fights or GvG instead. I don’t know why t3 suddenly cares so much about the total score so much.
That’s really what most of the level-headed folk say anyway.
Look, every T3 matchup thread since SoS dropped has been the same: The weekend starts off and everyone’s having a good time, and then by Monday morning someone is crabbing that DB is leading only because of PvDoor. Throughout the week, a few of us try to say exactly what you said: the score doesn’t matter in the first place, just have fun (or if the score matters to you, feel free to transfer to JQ). By the end of the week a few DB trolls come out and pound their chests and pretend they’re the sole reason we’re winning.
I don’t know if it continues because people are stupid or they’re sadists, but it continues nonetheless. And I imagine this thread will be somewhat similar.
Please go back and read the last thread. The pvd is actually BP/EA baiting maguuma every single morning and us not biting. Mag cares about winning fights.
The DB guys that know how to pvp, the DB guilds that know how to pvp, don’t post here and kitten it up with score bickering. Come morning, there will be more DB talking trash about points per tick, and more mag not caring.
When EA and BP want to talk about fights won/lost, then we’ll talk back.

Perhaps you’re right and the commander in EMP itself is wrong. One is more authoritative than the other, but who cares, right? I guess we should expect to see DB in T2 next week with this influx. Maybe we can compete there with the new folks, or maybe we can’t. I don’t see this new playerbase being able to compete in T1, which means eventually those guilds who transferred in will be searching for greener pastures elsewhere. Maybe we’ll see Mag in T3 again some day (I hope not, too much QQing about SEA and other numbers whining on the forums for my taste).
Several weeks ago Mag threw the T3 match and many Mags claimed they preferred the better roaming environment of T4. I too like roaming, and I’m concerned DB and T2 is going to be 24/7 zergs.
He might mean who is online at the moment, because he clearly had more before. Either that or they’re all mesmers with 3 clones up constantly :P

In the grand scheme of things, it probably needed to be done for the sake of the tier.
JQ is super stacked atm, I think if we can get the 3 servers within 20k of each other and each has a chance for 1st without overtime play, would be a lot more fun.
I think we can all agree, competition is good, so props for EMP for chasing it.
There is no competition in Tier 3. It was unstable to begin with.

Every week the losing server will find any excuse possible to subject to their margin or tiny difference in score. Who ever we are that is trying to convince another server otherwise isn’t making any progress.
Every week the winning server will accuse the other two servers of making excuses for obvious population imbalances.

Just for clarification, if you transfer from Tier 7 to Tier 5, does that still make you an elf because you transferred from a relatively losing server to a relatively winning servers or is it only people that transferred to Tier 1? And if you became an elf by transferring to Tier 1, can you transform back into a dwarf by transferring to Tier 3, or are you forever bound to your elvish fate? Does one become more of a dwarf by transferring down more tiers, or is their dwarvishness only determined by how much the server they transferred to is losing in their current match up? These all seem like highly relevant issues.

I’ve been experimenting with a pure condition damage longbow/sword/sword zergling Warrior to mixed success. It is most useful in WvW on condition damage siege or fire bombing large areas as most do not expect 800+ Fire ticks. When forced into the fray, the aoe immobilize and quick 25 stacks of bleeds can quickly mess up any zerg that is not running with enough condition removal. Alas, as with most warrior builds, it is somewhat fragile to conditions.
Necro can go both condition wells and power wells.
The Immortal Mesmer build is nice for roaming.

Wow, this is so amusing on so many levels…Maguuma was talking big for so many weeks and now that there’s a tier that matches their server pop you’re getting crushed…GG Mag, you always were terrible when you didn’t outnumber your opponent 4 to 1.
We’re in second place so um. Yeah.
In any case, I did observe some trolling when we suddenly were the newest bandwagon server a few months back. I’d like to think those who did it were trying to weed out those who didn’t really want to be on Maguuma. I have a lot of alts and occasionally I would get called out in team/whatever before they recognized me. However, I have not seen much of the ‘unfriendly commanders’ or ‘unfriendly pugs’ you spoke of. Most of our team chat is ascii pictures of (censored) and “No Tears, Only Dreams!!!”.
Did you consider that some of those people who were rude may have been recent transfers as well? During that first week I don’t think any of the regular Maguuma guilds could fit more than five people on the map at one time due to excessive bandwagoning, which was frustrating. I know I could never get into EB and when I got there it was packed of dozens of new commanders whom I’d never seen before all arguing with each other.
tl;dr Please don’t judge Maguuma in general based on the short time you spent there because having 1312312 people suddenly join was really a frustrating time period. Honestly, we’re nice people.
