I’m not saying ap is any kind of competition…just doing the comparison since some brought it up. There are many ways to make PvE extremely competitive btw.

One problem: PvP reward will be given to the winners of a large tournament, there is only one winning team, and one runner up. On the other hand… AP rewards are given to EVERYONE.

I want to know those ways to make PvE extemely competitive, if there is no competition between humans, it’s not competitive. Just defeating some hard challenge is NOT ENOUGH. There must be competition between players too.

It isn’t an exploit, it functioned exactly as advertised. Now however the main reason for using the Gilded Infusion is being removed. You’re statement referencing “exploits” sounds more like sour grapes than anything.

We still have low damage.
We still have poor sustain (can be easilly kited/killed.)
We are still one of the hardest classes to play.

This is lulzy coming from the highest damage, and one of the highest sustain class. It’s also the class that is widely considered to be ez-mode and faceroll.

Gaurdians/Rangers/Engineers/Thieves all have higher sustain.

Rangers have higher sustained damage, Guardians have higher Sustained Damage, Thieves have higher burst damage.

Please go back to your own forums.

Since when do thieves have higher sustain? If they’re in stealth they can’t do anything except regen health which is still lower than healing signet PASSIVE…
This compared to warriors that can deal extreme amounts of damage all the while regening health at extreme amounts, they’re virtually unstoppable.

Warrior is widely regarded to do the most DPS, a lot more than ranger and guardian for sure. As far as burst DPS, warrior wins with hundred blades. Nothing can touch that.

Did you know the world record for running cof p1 was set by a party consisting of 1 mesmer, 1 ranger 1 warrior and 2, I say again, TWO thieves?

Rangers and Mesmers are fun underwater. I may be biased on the ranger part, mainly because I love my shark. Not a big fan of Guardians underwater (feels like it takes too long to kill most things), Necros are fine, and I enjoy Engi’s turrets underwater unlike above water.

Yeah I don’t like Guardians at all underwater – no Damage, not many useful combos.

I still don’t understand why we deal less damage underwater and why there are no finishing moves underwater.

I really enjoy the combat and after playing another not yet released mmo and Tera I can say that GW2 nailed it for me. It’s not only the movement but also the dynamic of fights – dogding, combofields, projectile blocking, risk vs reward if you ressurect someone in a boss fight.

But I do think way to many encounters don’t require any special movement. Most of the time it is just the boring circledogding but we are seeing alot of new boss fights that at least try to get away from those 100%-0% Singlephase DPS Spam Bossfights

Underwater Combat needs to be reworked. Meelefights seem to be pointless because you miss most of the time and ranged combat feels spammy. I like the way the ranger works underwater, you really want to switch between meele and ranged because both weaponsets provide really useful and strong skills. I can’t stay that about other professions.

Fixed? It is working as intended. It is a high risk/high return weapon. You deal extreme amounts of dps with it.

Are you doing EVERY option of your daily everyday? Both PvP and PvE? Because that’s what top players in achievement points have been doing for more than half a year. Yes they are THAT crazy.

Crazy? Come on.. PvP daily is something you can get after 3 matches.
And the PvE/WvW Stuff isn’t that time consuming either.

They are if you only want to play 30 minutes and keep up with players who play 8hours+ a day.

Why would you want to keep up wth 8h/day players? Those are clearly players who are extremely dedicated to the game.

1) Had exterme luck with RNG, either with dumping rares into the mystic forge and getting a precursor on half the cost of getting it, or obtaining during a drop/dragon chest.

2) Used real life money.

3) Put aside things in the game and farmed everything to chain events.

4) Farmed Cof 1 for hours on end, for days, for months.

5) Got a precursor (or several) during Oct/Nov then dumped them after december for a huge profit.

I’m none of that and still have a legendary, like 7 or 8 months after release. And I am happy about it. I don’t need to stand in Lions Arch with my healskill on autocast just so other people can validate how awesome my weapon is.

We aren’t quite ready to go into all the details here, but what I can say is you will see a specific way to build precursor items on your way to a legendary. On top of this, you’ll also see new legendary weapons and new types of legendary gear in 2013. Building your precursor will require a large amount of the new crafting material rewards listed above, 500 in crafting, and likely a combination of other items earned for completing more specific content in the game.

Well if not I know at least 1 method of farming infinite amounts of champions. But I am pretty sure A.Net thought of that and limited it to once per day.

Depends I guess on playstyles and latency and all that as well as knowing what to do. Some bosses just take a while to go down so I would think it’s faster with an extra person or 2. I run on a guardian usually with premade wep/armour all with power attached to it and at lvl 4 it can take a while to kill a boss or two lol.

Then again maybe I usually just want to end the ordeal as quick as possible.

Warrior is the best imo, the first bosses you really need to fight alone are still in the levelrange where you can stack bleeds and those help a lot .Use the F1 skill as soon as you have level 1 adrenalin because the amount of bleeding stacks don’t depend on the adrenalin level. The sword leap is also a really good way to move faster
