In WvW i don’t like the hammer, because there are wide and open fields. It’s very easy for ranged damage, I prefer rifle+nades.
Scrapper hammer is very strong, but you rarely fight on point. Hammer only does damage when you are close to your target.
Hip Shot and Orbital Strike have the same cast time on the tooltip.
But the Orbital always feels much more longer…
I forgot to say that all back pieces are not on the “back” they look like they lie on the shoulder.
As a charr engi:
Some animation looks weird, like using “one-handed” mortar shots.
And a lot of chest pieces especially coats and helmets doesnt fit well to charr, they are clipping with the tail and horns.
Some long rifles are clipping with the ground while holding.
You need at least mastery rank 44 to be able to finish the collection.

You have just 4% crit with this build. Sigill of blood, bunker down and ferocity are completly useless here.
Marauder amulet and durability runes are the meta, it provides a very good balance between sustain and dmg
hammer ist just better than rifle in spvp.
more dmg, more sustain, more viable.
I think that will never happen… they removed hobo sacks after 3 years, finally-
But it is a pity to see nothing of the legy when using a kit.

glass cannon: used in every max dps build.
shaped carge: same.
short fuse: for bomb builds.
shrapnel: for every condi grenade build.
high caliber: for bomb/hammer builds.
takedown round: for max dps builds.
stabiliziation core: nice for save stomps.
expert extamination: chain cc with thunderclap + rocketcharge.
mass momentum: synergizes well with elixir B, and nice for high toughness builds.
perfecty weighted: for max dps hammer.
dont know whats the problem? there are different traits for different play styles…
You have a better chance to pull if you jump at the end of casting magnet.
There is a bug which allows revenants to shoot with hammer AA through walls in WvW.
The hammer icon isn’t a good choice, because you can also use the scrapper traitline without using the hammer.
It is more a defensive traitline and no only hammer traitline.
Static shot usually applies 2 stacks confusion.
But if you have chemical rounds traited, this skill is bugged and applies only 1 stack.

IDK why u take rifle and aim-assised rocket on a condi based build?
Undead runes and pinpoint distribution works very well with rapid amulet.
Sigil of energy is a must-have when u are not using adrenal implant.
Sigil of geomancy is better than earth.

I just noticed that the visuals and sounds of some grenades were changed, especially #2 and #3 isn’t the same as before. When they changed it?
They don’t look like powerful grenades right now. It’s like plopping ballons…
The animation is going significant faster, and they sound like firecrackers.
I understand why you changed the orbital strike, this effect was overwhelming , but WHY you changed the grenades?

Some time is gone after the HOT release, and I had enough time to play the scrapper.
I mainly play wvw and pvp, and i noticed that the scrapper is a lot better than the “normal” engineer.
The hammer is a true gift to our class, for a power orientated build it provides much more dmg, finishers and sustain than a rifle can do.
The CD’s are pretty low, it feels smoother to use the hammer instead of a rifle.
A tools/alchemy/scrapper build is the strongest i have ever seen on engineer, u can melt all other melee professions without any problem.
I see no more reason to use the “classic” engi in wvw or pvp, what do u think?
Is the “classic” rifle engineer gone?
Do you see any reason to take the rifle instead the hammer? For range attack i still use the mortar…
dd ele take AGES to nerf/balance it… and engi got this huge nerf to aa (40!!!!!! percent) 1 week after hot release. Engi as frontline WvW NEED this toughness.
And that isnt enough, we also got that HGH nerf!!!! WTF

Maybe the function gyro could give us passive aegis with an ICD, while its not on CD itself? Like the guard’s Virtue of Courage
Mainly in WvW frontline this is a huge nerf.
Toss Elixir B isn’t even a Stunbreaker and our only access for stab (FT with juggernaut is not an option). 3 Stacks now is a bad joke.
It is not only mortar and grenades, also toss elixirs fall trough the walls

The way it is looks very weird, maybe more flat like the artwork?
On all other races this mask look awesome… just not on Charr…
Welcome to gw2. I play 3 years now, and the best drop i got was around 15g worth.
I havn’t crafted the predator some month ago to see now that all tool belt skills effects are gone…
Bring back old grenade barrage effect, or at least some footsteps while using a kit.
I agree, the one-handed animation looks really unrealistic.
The aimed animation was ok, but the most realistic would be a hipshot.
More people who just think zerker meta is the only acceptable gear in gw2.

It’s a weak gm trait. In 1v1 situations it’s ok.
Maybe rework it to:
Critical hits inflict 2 stacks of AOE burning for 4 sec. (240 radius, 5 targets). Burning you apply lasts 33% longer.
On PVP i can not agree with you.
For sure in PVE it could be annoying to push back enemies.
But to make the push back baseline is truely a gift for all PVP players, there is no “wasted” trait slot

I also hate the “zerker meta”. Just noobs copy+paste builds and run full zerker, and all in all they can not play their profession correctly.
Often if i go some dungeons in “lf just zerker groups” i just link my ascended zerker gear, but still use my full celestial.
It is no fun for me to clear dungeons asap and stack in corners to instantly burst down anything. I love it to go arah with normal people, not meta playing, no lupi os, no stealth, no speedrun. Just for fun!
Ye, you are absolutely right… cele rifle is gone in spvp, but still viable in wvw.
The new meta builds in spvp are: hgh builds, soldier or marauder rifle, or full condi builds.
And dd eles are totally broken.
I also think it’s themed with something like “forge”, and the hammer we’ll get is maybe a heavy CC weapon. Other professions using hammer (warrior and guard) is also pvp heavy CC… so why engi should get something “new”?
pure speculation Perhaps hammer+drones become the new meta in PVP. Like hammer is for the CC and the drones assist you in any way.
there is NO match without at least 2 ele… this game is totally broken in PVP, everyone is just facerolling this godlike dd cele ele.

As engi i tried several builds vs ele and i never had a chance. I play engi since 3 years and i never seen something ridiculous like that.
Elementalist is just GOD in this game. You have incredible sustain, you are prepared for every possible situation and you can still do a lot of damage.
Rangers, Warriors and Thiefs are really bad right now.
Mesmer is a little bit strong, but i can live with it.
All other classes are okay.
But Ele is the Chuck Norris in this game, please fix it! If you just have a little bit skill with Ele you can kitten all other professions.
After around 3 years of HGH rename it to AGH? No, thanks.
Other proffensions maybe will be confused if u say:
“i am running a AHG build” – “what is AGH???”
The name is fine as it is.
Sorry, but this is the worst build i have ever seen!
lets talk about the issues:
- Marauder amulet with p/s
- Pistol without using firearms traitline
- Elixirs without using HGH. Iron blooded is very poor choice
- Mecha legs is much more better than soothing detonation
- Explosives traitline without using nades or bombs
- Glasscanon in spvp
- Lyssa runes + elixir C
All in all idk what your build should do? You have condi weapon with power amulet. Elixiers without HGH, and a mix of moderate CC with heavy condi cleanse.

I know this is now bug, but this collison is very annoying
some long rifles like: charrzooka, the Hunter and the Predator collide with the ground.
will this one day be fixed?
a great gift? A GREAT GIFT?! this kit ist total garbage, lets compare mortar kit with old grenade kit
Mortar: only good for direct dmg builds, Grenades: nice for condi, hybrid and direct dmg builds.
Mortar: just 1 stack vuln/attack, Grenades: 3 stacks
Mortar: 1 attack = 1x chance for shranpel, 1x chance for sharpshooter, Grenade: 3x chance per attack
Mortar AA around 30% weaker as Grenade AA
And at least, mortar takes our elite slot→ no crate
So the mortar is much worse than the old Grenade kit

ok, grenade barrage onshot is a bug, but whats about shatter mesmer which can hit u from 100% down to 25% instantly? THIS IS NO BUG but seems ok for you, and there is no reason to nerf it?!
Or guardian burn, 10stacks+ you go down within 3-5 sec, also seems balanced?
Ok, i am basically talking about my WvW feelings…
I am playing cele rifle explosives/firearms/inventions.
1. The range of the grenades is terrible, 900 is to less. 1200 would be ok.
2. The grenades spread out too much with grenadier trait, sometimes just hit 1 nade.
3. There is no really good trait for the rifle wich yells “TAKE ME”, 20% CD reduction is ok, and 10% attack speed is just crap. Maybe replace it with 10% dmg?
4. The pistol traits compared with the rifle traits are much more better.
5. Mortar is no good elite choice, I still use crate. Its awesome now with overcharge and detonate.
6. All in all i think that the engineer got some really nice stuff, and i love to play it now
always i get a new style i think “now i am looking like a bad…” and then i switch to any kit and the hobo sack jumps into my face!
This game is now around 2,5 years old, i play engineer since the release date and i dont understand why there is still no button to hide this terrible back pieces? No other profession is so much disadvataged in the fashion like we are.
Switch to a kit? No problem, lets hide your weapon first and show all our terrible hobo sack!

I noticed the following probolem:
I am always overwhelmed when i am throwing grenades in a group of people, just an example:
I use 1 attack, there are 3 grenades. each grenade hits 3 targets, so i see 3×3=9 numbers on my screen.
And if i only use grenades there are like hundred numbers on my screen, and all in all i don’t really know how much damage i have done…
And here is my idea:
It is better to see the complete damage on one target in 1 high number instead of 3 low numbers.
What do u think about it?
