I’ve heard a concern from several interested players who are not living in North America that transferring to a NA server may have the consequence of serious lag.

As a player that lives in England let me assure you that I’ve not experienced any issues at all. In fact the NA Ferguson’s Crossing server that we are based on is better than te EU server I used to play on.

Also if any players that are interested in joining our guild that would like a chat about any concerns you have regards transferring to an NA server then just pm me here or in game and I’ll be happy to discuss anything.

BTW, thank you for this Res. I know a lot of people are worried about lag but so far I haven’t heard a word about it from anyone in guild when I have asked.

From what I understand, Crystal Desert is the “unofficial” LGBT server but there should be LGBT friendly guilds on any server.

Shameless plug time: My guild, Hedonism, is on Ferguson’s Crossing and we are LGBTQ friendly (it would be hard not to be since I’m a lesbian). We welcome everyone so, while we have several couples and a few singles, the majority of our guild members are straight, but what are you going to do? They’re everywhere!

For me personally, I prefer some personality along with the details. I want to get a feel for who I am letting into my home.

For me it’s important because my guild is small with recruiting caps because we want to keep it tight and personal. So when I see someone who takes the time to not just give the facts, but actually tell me something about themselves, it makes my decision to contact them that much easier and what I can tell them about us more exact and personal.

I’m sure for every person like me who personally responds to someone’s post, there are probably a dozen more who don’t care for the same thing I do because they just want/need numbers. And that’s fine too but, I think in the end you’re going to get out exactly what you put into the process.

So having said that, I think it is ultimately just personal style and needs. If you just want anything you’ll get just anything but, if you want a place to call home, that fits your needs, your best bet is to express that and then take the time to weed through the responses and talk to those you like.

My two cents here is for people to include whether or not they are willing to guest or transfer servers and what times they play.

The reason for the play times is that some guilds, like my own, are trying to maintain certain numbers and don’t want to grow at certain hours; we like being a small guild, we just want to be that around the clock.

The other reason is if a guild wants to serve just NA, you don’t want to be the only person on in guild at 3 am.

The more information you give us, the less time we both waste.

An example of what I’m talking about would be:

“Looking for a casual guild. Willing to guest or transfer for the right guild.I am usually on from 1am to about 4am EST.”

Keep in mind this is just a partial example, you’d still want to put in some more details about what you like to play and a little personality as well.

Now see, I found that fascinating. I guess watching all of those shows on PBS doesn’t really give you an accurate education of our English brethren. I thought stones were the way it was done there for weight and kilograms etc were for the rest of Europe.

Two things I have learned though (and it seems to be a constant). First, Brits love their alcohol and second is that the English are just plain crazy. They sound all reasonable and normal, then they turn into Syl. Vixx is still trying to hold it in, but I can tell, it’s killing her.

BTW, I had a blast with you all today (Re, Syl, Vixx, and now Kol-welcome!) I haven’t laughed that much in a while.
