We are looking to beef up our WvW presence and our numbers across ALL time zones, Oceanic, EU, wherever you are in the world, if Hedonism sounds like a good fit apply for a membership or message me with your questions and we can see if Hedonism is the guild you’d like to call “home”. Hi there,
I saw your post and if you’re still looking for a guild you might like to see if Hedonism is a good fit.
We are a small but growing guild on Ferguson’s Crossing and are looking for casual PvE players. As for WvW, I dabble with it but honestly there’s not a lot of activity there at the moment. I’m not sure how important WvW is to you but as we grow there may be more interest among members. SO, why did I write when I know we don’t have a strong WvW claim? It’s what you said about being in it for the long haul and developing a great guild. My number one goal is building a tight community, a family of players who have real lives but can come play the game in a drama free zone with like-minded, friendly, and often funny, people.

Hedonism

We are a small guild on the Ferguson’s Crossing server. Our members are respectful, friendly, and helpful. Our focus is to build a supportive, fun community and we welcome players of all levels and abilities who want to build their GW2 home with us.
You may find our guild grows more slowly than most. For us, building a strong community atmosphere within our guild is more important than rushing in and being the first to conquer everything as quickly as possible. Since we try to make sure all of our members are of a similar mindset, our membership process is sometimes slower than most. But in the long run, this ensures a stronger foundation and loyal and longtime following.
FAQ:
Why the name Hedonism? This is just a game to us, not a way of life. Real life has enough stress and mess and the name is a reminder that the purpose of playing a game is to have fun.

Time Zone? We have players on at ALL hours. Even though the server is NA, ALL time zones are currently represented; we have members from all over the world and have been steadily building up EU and Oceanic hours with a healthy number of members on during their respective evening hours.
Our heaviest population is currently from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m M-F (PST). Weekends; nearly any time.
UPDATE: Due to a recent influx of members, I have decided to suspend invites for typical NA evening hours so we all have a chance to get to know each other. If you feel really strongly about joining Hedonism and you play during NA evenings you can fill out an application and I will fold you in as soon as possible. This suspension does not apply to Hawaii or Alaska.
EU evenings are still OPEN though not for much longer.

*If you sign up for an event with a specific start time, please be focused enough to be prepared and on time, but don’t take yourself so seriously that you can’t laugh when a group wipes.

Should go without saying because we are all adults, but here it is anyway:
Respectful language in guild chat and voice chat is a must and extends to grouping with others and map chat while you represent this guild. Your actions reflect on all of us. No hate speech of any kind will be tolerated.
What to expect from the Guild and the Leadership:
*The focus of the guild is PvE and WvW, but we will support those interested in PvP by sponsoring events both for play and for getting achievements.
*No one wants to make a mistake, but then again, no one is perfect either; therefore it’s important to recognize that and not treat every mistake or innocent comment like the end of the world.
*The rules apply equally to all members. If you feel that there is an issue that requires attention that isn’t being handled properly we encourage you to contact the guild leader personally in whispers or via the Guild website so we can resolve the situation promptly.
*Our long term goal is to build a casual but focused community like we outlined above (respectful, helpful, etc.) whether that community is five people or 500 people isn’t as important as the atmosphere of the guild.
*We want you to play the game the way you want to. Whether you want to get the most awesome gear you can or if you want to spend every day doing jumping puzzles, no one will ever make you feel bad about it.
*Above all, we just want people to have fun.

kKagari, if this had happened to you I fell confident that you would be equally upset, no one who puts in this much time to an event is going to be happy walking away empty handed. Yes it’s progressive, but we put in the time, which ANet can see from game logs, and deserve to get compensated for participating in the event.
any ideas on how to report this, or is this it?
After nearly four hours of this event (on before it even started) we got to the end and I got DC’d at literally the last moment and the chest was gone when I was able to come back… very unhappy about this, VERY. When my account got hacked the first week of release they never gave me back the coin that was stolen and now this, plus all of the bugs with this event, makes me not want to play.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the game overall but this is just going to be too frustrating if it’s like this all the time.
