So will there be ascended version for the existing dungeon armor or ways to upgrade the existing one other than transmution?
Make mystic recipe that can upgrade exotic into ascended armor, just require more material.
The events are so sparse and this map functions nothing other than a new tourist attraction, without many tourists!
After the laggy auto-attack fest that started this event you get a letter in the mail telling you to visit 3 people in different zones and gather information from them on the karka. After you go and help each of these people with there little quests (taking roughly 45 minutes) you come back and give what you’ve gathered to Researcher Levi in Lion’s Arch.
She rewards you with 5 Captain’s Council Commendations. These commendations can be used to purchase things from a vendor where the lions statue used to be. What you can purchase from the vendor with these commendations is absolute trash and a complete rip off.

So basically I just wasted 45 minutes to get a fraction of the amount of tokens I need to buy vendor trash I could go and purchase from any vendor in the game for 32 copper – 4 silver depending on what I want. Oh and lets not forget the cool weapons they sell that you’ve always been able to get for a cheap amount of karma… Weapons that you never see anyone with because nobody wants them….
TL;DR – Phase one feels like a waste of time to me because the opening event was a generic event no different than any other dynamic event in the game and the rewards are a complete rip off…
I feel like the “donations” to fix Lion’s Arch are ArenaNet’s way of trying to remove a large amount of items from the game. Possibly at an attempt to regulate TP prices of goods. (Like how they’d done with that Mystic Chest thing that I missed out on)
But the problem is the rewards for the commendation are total rubbish and not worth the effort to exchange for.
Pay to donate. The most brilliant idea ever.
If it is only a boss fight encounter then why not make it an instanced event? At least all can enjoy the mechanism but not just a proportion of it.
Though there is no solid proof, this usually leads to a new tier of content that you need that tier of armor to progress.
Horrible decision.

I think 21:00 GMT would be a better time if they do consider players from Australia and East Asia. It maybe a bit late for East Europe but should be acceptable because it is much easier for you stay late for 1-2 hours. For Australia and East Asia, 3am or 4am is far too early. 5am or 6am would be acceptable for the majority.
No because we are on Monday already. It’s lucky if you don’t need to work.
They are just lazy, bah.
At least they should make a n instance version of the event so that even you miss it, you can talk to npc to look the event again.
Once you get the recipe of the gift then those materials are useless. I hope Anet will provide more recipe that make use of them.

I used to put 10 in Wilderness Survival for Wilderness Knowledge(20% CD reduction in Survival skills). Even with the nerf, Quickening Zephyr and Muddy Terrain are too good to be missed.
OK, now every one is talking about the short bow 1 skill change, and many agree that it needs a overhaul. The problem is how? Simply scale the damage of skill 1 is the most boring way and the 1-button smash pattern (the developers claim) is not funny.
In my opinion, the overall skill CD is too long, which makes us let the auto-attack do the job most of the time .
So what would you suggest to change the following skills?
1 Crossfire
2 Poison Volley
3 Quick Shot
4 Crippling Shot
5 Concussion Shot
The fact that Jon Peters posted that he’s going to have to check this on live gives the indication that it’s unintended. I’d hold off getting knickers in a twist until he posts back again.
It is sad that “this issue will be addressed in the next patch” which means the next week.
And we still don’t know what the heck that Anet is nerfing shortbow at first. They keep hiding their intention to the players. If they fixed that problem then they should explain to us why they make that decision.
I won’t go out with my ranger without a muddy terrain.
Shooting from a terrain that the monster can’t approach is exploit. That’s why you need to kite if you can’t take the hit.
And this simply is not related to the patch today.
Then they should change the whole short bow skills rather then just nerfing one of them.
We don’t have the dps when we also use all 5 skill compare to other class who uses all. This seriously is the problem of the whole skill set.
Add public test server.
It seems that every patch will always screw something.

I now care less for the token problem and now I longed for the flame strike on the forum if Anet fail to fix it. I hope it never happen though lol.
I just know use large pool of mobs and boss health to prolong the dungeon run is not fun. If Anet want us to get rid of speed run, they should add more contents like more events/boss fight instead of increasing the pool of hp of mobs/boss so that no matter what we do, we need 5-10 min to kill that thing. Also making random mobs drop tokens is also a good way to encourage us to kill more mobs instead of run pass it.

That means no solution til Monday, when my comrades walk away with a full set of armor and I need to run 20 more times(extra 16-20 hrs) to do the same.

Hi all, I am just asking this question because many claim that with screenshot, GM will send the tokens back. Is this the case?
And also will there be any following action if the bug persists? Will the system be halt? Because the bug makes the collection of armor a matter of luck, not skill anymore. Some will just get token faster than you even you are doing the same thing.
Today is my third run of Honor of the Waves explorer mode. I have run it each day once and I only get 30 tokens while my teammates get full 60 tokens.
I thank for the system for letting us collect unique armor in a faster pace, but the bug really hurts.
Some of my team can walk away with the full dungeon set while I need to invest double or more time to do this. Many people are worse than me with token drops of 15. Worse still this “unfairness” is not from people wrongfully abuse the game, but the game mechanism flaw, which has no way to resolve it from the user side.
I hope the fix would come really soon and I hope such “unfairness” won’t happen again.
Will GM return loss token to you? Some in my previous group claimed GM will give the missing tokens back, but so far I haven’t receive any response….
I have done 3 times of Honor of the Wave explorer mode but only got 30 tokens each time. I only do 1 route 1 day.
No matter what route, the explorable Honor of the waves first run only gives me
30 Tokens, 13 Silver
I have a gap of 24 hours before doing it again.
If someone afraid “devaluation“ then he shouldn’t play any games at all. All content value will continue to decrease once there are more contents?or more players finishing it. This is just a matter of time.
I think the problem is the repetitiveness of the content? you just repeat the dungeon again and again to kill the same boss again and again. Nothing left to explore in the so-called explorer mode. There should be random encounters or events which awards you some extra rewards and achievement in dungeon which also gives you small amount of gold and tokens. It may require you to kill the boss in different ways or even affect boss you encounter.
Besides using badges for exchanging armor pieces? I hope you can provide alternative way to acquire them. Repeating dungeons again and again is not fun after you run for10+ times. Rather than solely rely on this mechanism?we can get schematics after finishing all routes. We can gather the required materials in the dungeon and the map the dungeon resides. The required material can be gathered from nodes, mob drop and karma vendor, which gives you reason to go back low-middle level map to participate in DE, and also makes collecting armor pieces less grindy.
This is a bug with our new anti-speed clear tech, and we’ll have it sorted out soon. Sorry you (and others) are getting hosed by this.
I hope that you can announce on the wiki/official post rather than replying random posts about bugs in the game. It’s frustrating for not knowing it is a bug or a mechanism.
