Oh cripes. I’ve figured out who decided to conduct that bit of carelessness in the guild. The unfortunate fellow was on the hill with his uplevel ranger and had gone afk with the pet on Guard. >_< Gave him a hard talking to just now.

I guess somebody went up too close to the stands and tagged him during some of the rounds. Wouldn’t be surprised with all the AoE [BB] packs. =S I don’t usually stick around to watch GvGs much myself, so I can’t keep track of people who were there.

On behalf of RoT, I sincerely apologize for the interference. Please let me or Obby Shards know if you see any more of our guys doing anything like this, especially with obvious intent, in any GvGs. We have an immediate guild kick policy for any willful interference in GvG rounds.

Made a discussion video about why I think featureless circle arena is very very bad (kitten) for how interesting and depth the GvG deathmatches have. It’s slow and casual but it’s true talk.

Empty arena brings really boring fights, with no different feel and storyline. Compared to the vanilla area we have currently. Alot of depth has evolved to every hill and corner in that area, that does not happen in a circle pit. Lower viewing value, and through time lower playing value.

Arena has to have small, smooth features that leaders can use to coordinate with and direct the fight. Different types of gameplay rise if the area has different sections.

Can you make a 15 minute discussion about a circle with red and blue torches? No depth.

Solves so many problems though, I will freaking take it.

All is right in GW2 again. GvG Showdown is back and suddenly there’s 5+ Upcoming matches on gw2gvg.com compared to the 1 or 2 that’s typically been there since Orbageddon. Now we just have to get NA to start using it again cause it really was extremely helpful in setting up matches before.

I definitely want to encourage both EU and NA guilds to make threads about their matchups here in this forums, especially if you plan on live streaming.

need help getting most of the guilds out of the PPT mindset and out of Gold League
most GvG’s dont happen in NA gold league is because “indo xyz” is a dictator in sanctum of rall, who for some reason is deemed a God. Anyway, GvG’s aren’t allowed to happen unless he gives the okay, I have heard this from every guild on SoR.

“We can do wednesday, but it depends if Indo says it is ok”.

A couple weeks of this would be pointless. 7 weeks of it, with the prospect of more “seasons” in the future, and achievements that lure in disorganized and mostly cluelss pve’s to fill up queues, goes way beyond pointless.

ofc, this was such a bad idea. These are the least interesting matches I’ve seen in all my time in wvw. The only consolation is I get to gvg with some guilds I wouldn’t otherwise see, but from a purely wvw standpoint this is a pointless exercise anyone could see would turn out this way.

To me it’s both humorous and interesting in terms of human nature that pretty much every match up thread, no matter what match, is about half “no skill you zerg” and “we have bigger wvw pop but skill too” posts.

During Monday night football? I think not.

Sure would be nice if we could gvg against any NA Guilds (or EU if you’re there) instead of just those in your 3 server match. We never have any chance to play tons of gvg guilds, and some matches we cannot find one guild that wants to gvg. I hope anet really is working on a true gvg game mode to deal with this.

These forums, and the borlis pass forum front page including comments from commanders about double teaming, your BL being bugged, blah blah.

Surely, you can understand why someone might form that opinion.

Sure I can. But forum comments don’t tell you much about the server. And our BL was bugged last week (constant DC’s), and if you look in the wvw discussion forum here you’ll see a thread with many servers complaining about bugged queues and Devon making a difficult to interpret response which seems to acknowledge it.

Double teaming? There are a lot of takes on that. I’ve seem some evidence of it, at other times not so much. Some of it is sour grapes because we’re losing. It’s not real sporting if it’s happening, but it’s also not inconsistent with the 3 way war format. It would happen at times in real life war. We did it with AR against Ebay one week months ago. I think most of us accept it in this match if it’s happening. Our far bigger problem is YB’s huge numbers, which caught us off guard because y’all did not have that last time we were matched. Bottom line is we have to win the PPT battle to improve our rank regardless of what gets thrown at us.

I hope to see the new GvG area arrive soon.

And with this there is no reason not to gvg anymore, and no reason to hold off until the arena arrives, especially with no assurance when that will happen. These buffs are pretty inconsequential even during the rare occasions when one of the guild’s server has all 3.

There was never a reason to excuse own faults just because of +50 or +100 stats on one side(if someone got 3 buffs you can always wait 2 more mins yep?)
Many guilds did GvGs, mostly in EU. We tried to do as many as possible with out roster changes so big thanks to our opponents.

Looking forward to EU “silver league”. Will be VERY interesting. And nope, I’m not talking about PPT

Had some awsome fights against a [WAR] Warrior, that guy is a beast and very godlike.

There are a few that meet that description. If a kite was deployed at anytime it was Snacks.
