I’m not hearing that much, only from a few obvious Devon alt accounts.

The bloodlust buff is live. It is clearly a disaster for wvw and gvg. But even if you don’t gvg, an epic disaster for wvw. Too much imbalance, too much power for the already powerful, no fun for anyone.

Only hope is keeping the orbs on your BL and not taking the orbs in the other servers’ BLs. When a pug or troll from another server takes an orb on your BL flip it back asap. I’ve ben preaching this for weeks and the usual response is it’ll never work, not everyone will agree, blah, blah. Trying is better than swallowing it. If you agree, get the word out to your guilds. Get some folks to defend the orbs on your BL. Get the word out in map chat in LA, all BLs, and eternal. Don’t stand for this.

It’s basically the orb buff but :

A-They implimented a stupid mechanism -capture the node, the only pvp mode they are capable of, lol-

I agree that I am working on an assumption. I think most people stop buying gems a fair wwhile before they quit. As I stated in anoth thread I use to spend $50+ a month on gems. When I quit buying gems anet lost revenue. But now I don’t buy gems anet has nothing to lose if I quit. Point I’m trying to make it that people leaving won’t hurt anet. People stopping spending money will. Anyone who plays without spending money is “dead weight” for lack of a better word.

I’d be surprised if anet saw it that way. I’m sure they think anyone playing is always a potential gem customer, even if they have bought nothing for months, so long as they can think of the right product to offer. The real problem is they don’t believe people will leave as a result of anything they do to wvw because for w/e reason they have a very low opinion of wvw.

I’d gladly put in my time to save our game.

This is a slow moving thread for these 3 servers. What gives? Do y’all finally accept that we win with skill whereas you just blob it up with numbers? Get out of your towers and come fire up this thread, it’s more boring than work atm.

I don’t see how this is a good idea, and it’s causing a lot of turmoil on my server. We’re mid-tier NA. We’ll end up either gold and mostly getting stomped for 7 weeks, or silver and mostly stomping for 7 weeks. How does this help wvw? It’s just change for the sake of change. C’mon anet, just because thought enters brain is not always a reason to take action. The match up system is fine now, there’s plenty of other things you could change to improve wvw. Do you guys even play this game?

Dear Vena, you are wrong.
For us on lower tier servers stomped in matchup, it is almost imposible to collect so many badges. But You can get 30gold in PvE farming in one day.
And you only need gold. But try to get rich in WvW. Eben if you get badges, you will lack of gold.

They can’t balance WvW around every possible denominator. If they balanced around low tiers or stomped match-ups, T1 (where I am) would have tens of thousands of badges rather than thousands per person.

Our small NA runs with at most ten people but usually only five, never in the zerg, always facing a zerg, and we do fine with 100+ badges a night just from roaming, flipping camps, and flipping towers. I understand that the dynamics in lower tiers are different but just think about, compared to what we get being small force, the zergs in T1 must get in a night. When we run with Smokee during EU/NA, many of us end up with several hundreds of badges and readily filled bags.

How do you bring balance to this between the tiers?

Difference is, while mr PvE enjoys his time in dungeons he is getting 1g+ per run. Mr wvw gets blues greens and spikes if he is lucky.

Difference is, while Mr. WvW can get unlimited badges per day, Mr. PvE gets some gold and a limited number of badges per day. It would take you a little over a week, running every path every day, to get a full set from a dungeon. Then another two days for a weapon.

Bigger difference is Mr. WvW gets to wvw for said badges, while Mr. PvE has to slog through those God awful dungeons.

Stone, in fairness a lot of that was Archer and some other folks I don’t see in these threads anymore. And to continue this fairness streak, we said some of the same stuff back to Ebay, though the main thing we said was they only win with numbers, not skill.

Also, if you read some of the other servers’ match threads you’ll see all this same stuff where the winning server is called tower huggers, zergers, no skill, etc. I guess none of us like to lose, though we should all admit wvw is fun regardless of ppt, or 2/3 of the servers would not participate.

If you’re honest you’d admit that all 3 servers play all phases of the game. They zerg, they defend/siege, they open field. Any of us could get that same video from either of the other servers.

Your video shows nothing other than you’re willing to spend a lot of time making a pointless point. Why didn’t you guys just move on when you weren’t getting the fight you wanted? You would have had it somewhere else. Let me guess…all BP tower hug. etc., w/e, go to eternal or YB maybe? C’mon guys, really, you’re better than this, it’s becoming an embarrassment. Just play the game and quit your griping.

All this whining about other people’s tactics is kinda silly. No rules are being broken, all these play styles are accommodated by the game, and nobody’s a big e-stud because of how they do it. Who cares?

Sil, for future reference b/c we will be matched up again, keep an eye out for these for sure (there are more): Krew, DR, and LOST. Good luck at re-set all! No matter what is said here, imo this is the most competitive an enjoyable match for us in months.

Sil, there are groups like that on BP too, quite a few actually. There are also groups that get off on defending objectives. From what I’ve seen all 3 servers in this match have both.

We’re not afraid of dieing, we’re actually quite fashion conscious, it’s just a pain changing armor colors all the time. Aren’t we just red to you red to you guys anyway, why do you care?

God, YB is as bad as BP with hiding in the towers. Almost an hour in their BL and I couldn’t get one person to actually duel me. Always gotta be 3:1 or better. One guy of higher rank than me actually hid inside a camp, behind the guards of all things. Wouldn’t come out and play, so I walked off, went in a big circle, came back, and capped it anyway. I am disappoint.

I honestly don’t understand why people bother playing the game if they aren’t going to PLAY THE GAME. If you’re in WvW, you obviously enjoy PvP so why are you making the NPC’s do the work for you? Or why wait until you outnumber the enemy to attack? If you don’t enjoy using SKILL to beat players, go back to PvE where you can gang up with your group and auto attack a mob to death.

Definitely agree. I run into uneven fights and honestly, I don’t even care if I die lol. Just a waypoint away from giving it another chance. No one ever got better by running away from fights or hiding from them.

I’ve had some pretty fun fights this week, I typically roam around solo and have come across several people who have given me a fun 1v1, but then I’ve also run into those people who run like hell (usually warriors..) until they meet up with another person and then its uneven lol..

I’ve mostly only fought with ebay though, seems like every time I run into YB they always have 10+ people lol.

While i’ll admit that BP is getting better every time we get matched up with you guys, there’s still a great population of your server that still tower hugs and requires a large group or siege to win a small fight.

Yeah, we hear that every match now. Bottom line is we have some very tenacious defenders who commit to defending our towers and keeps, but we also have some skill groups, and yes some zergs, who roam the field looking for fights, and pretty good coordination among them all. It’s a good time to wvw on BP, much better than that dismal unending match with your server and AR.
