Well look what we have here.. Few days ago a SBI player posted a screenshot of himself in the enemy Citadel and claimed he did not use hacks and was just having fun. That post got deleted and is no longer on these forums. Others told me to chill out cause I said he deserved a ban.

Now seems others are doing it the same exact way he was doing it. In my eyes its an exploit and although you can’t capture Citadel like the chat states, they can destroy golems stored there. They deserve a ban. Once they learn the other exploits whats to stop them from actually getting into objectives and capture them.

Anet has fixed the ground in QL so I don’t see why they can not fix the ground at these areas that these players are using to exploit into things.

To the SBI guy that was just having fun, You think this guy is having fun sitting in his citadel making sure these players don’t destroy their golems. I stick to my statement that anyone using any exploit should get banned..

As I said, I don’t think this was a bad idea. For every role player this may have offended, there is a player who is currently running around LA giggling their butt off at how funny this is to them.

So they only kittened half their player base tonight? Look, I don’t agree with the current events component of the criticism, that gives far too much credit to the 13 years olds in charge at anet. Maybe HoT is the planned super secret population adjustment? Maybe you get to choose between stacking the top tiers and dealing with the lag, or spreading out a little and making all the tiers a little more fun, t1 included?

You just have to be content with people playing how they like. You obviously don’t like being pressured to give up the PPT battle, trying to pressure people who don’t like PPT to play that way is no better.

NO, the horror! These so called tournaments are pointless and simply not fun. That some people inexplicably care about them somehow makes them even worse. This was a failed experiment in an effort to breathe new life into what anet sensed was a dying wvw. The new bl map hopefully will accomplish that, no need for yet another “gee, I wonder which server will win” tournament.

I had this exact problem with AT&T DSL starting in December, all of a sudden, after having no problems with updates since release. Posted on this forum several times and got no response. Discussed with several computer savvy friends, but no clue. My solution was switching to cable. Not a problem since.

Don’t kid yourselves, it’s all about gem sales. If you really hate this league BS (like I do), you’re only hope is persuading ppl to stop falling for it every season. Lots of luck with that.

Run staff, keep your distance. Get at least exotic armor pieces and staff. Cantrip utilities, 30 in water and in arcana, cantrip improving traits in water + the grandmaster trait that cleans conditions when granting regen, elemental attunement and evasive arcana traits, you pick the rest (10 in earth + earth’s embrace trait will work well for you). Get a superior energy sigil in your staff to boost your endurance (you’ll fill 1/2 endurance 1x, enough for a dodge, every weap swap, which for us is the same as changing attunements). PVT armor with 4 sup dolyak and 2 sup traveler’s or water runes. Change attunements a lot for boons and endurance, dodge out of trouble. This is real conservative, but gives you lots of survivability. As you get better and die less, you can start playing around with armor pieces (add in some knights or zerker), traits, runes, and sigil to add in more offense.

Ever since the December wintersday update, every single update starts loading normally, then slows down to a trickle and stops. It downloads to my computer normally, but it does this when I start loading the update. When it stops I have to close the client and reopen, at which point this process repeats. For the big update yesterday I had to do this like 12 to 15 times before I got the whole thing loaded. What’s the problem?

P.S.: I’ve had the game since launch, and never had this issue before that December update.

geez someone’s feathers sure seem ruffled… It is a fact that ive spent more time in EB than 90% of gw2 player base has hours totaled on account; ive tried it all. in truth, my screenshot is not the best… but luckily my allies were much quicker to get them. And yes, it is sad that a small number of people can make an otherwise respectable server look so trashy.

Am I the only one who thinks gvg scheduling is about to take a hit with the wvw match threads going away? That is one of the better way of contacting guilds in your match. The gw2gvg site does not get enough use, and so many guilds registered there are on different servers or no longer gvg anyway, so it’s hard to use it for scheduling. I don’t think many people even know about this thread (in game events? lol).

Not sure what would be the best way to deal with this, but I do think it probably would work best if it involves the official forum. Maybe a stickied thread listing guilds interested in gvg’ing, with their server and a contact? Any hope anet would allow that in the wvw discussion forum instead of this black hole? wvw does have the gvg arena now after all, maybe it does not have to be completely banished from wvw anymore? idk, kind of thinking out loud here…thoughts?

If you want to setup a 15v15 or 20v20, I’m sure you could get in contact with BB pretty easily to set it up, they love to do GvG and I’m sure its been pretty dry for them since we all fight all the same guilds every day now with this new way that they’ve got the tiers set up. Better get comfortable with this match up until Dragonbrand moves up a couple ranks from their oceanic presence lol..

Couldn’t agree more. This is not the best match for gvg’s, and it looks like we’re gonna be locked in for awhile. We’re not getting many gvg’s, mostly due to the holidays I guess, but BB is very interested in gvg’ing any guilds out there. If it’s your guild’s first time, you gotta start somewhere, and we’re good sports. These match up threads are about to go away, making it that much more difficult to set up gvg’s. Interested guilds please send me a PM here with contact information for future reference. You might also consider registering your guild at gw2gvg.com.

Well, though it’s apparently been unbearable for the Mods even though it’s what they’re paid to do, it’s been nice chatting with all of you over the past year plus in these match up threads. Good luck in your future matches.

So silly, what exactly is the point of having mods then? I survive reading mean comments in the match up threads, is it really such a big deal that they have to be shut down? People have become so sensitive to words they don’t want to hear, it’s just pitiful.

With the change in the RNG part of the match up formula, I expect Ebay and BP will be seeing a lot of each other going forward. Maybe not 13 straight weeks, but I believe the feel will be pretty similar.

It’s not boring, it’s a relatively even match-up. What is there to say? Seems we just can’t contend with BP’s numbers nowadays. I’d congratulate you guys, but swelling of a server’s numbers is a double edged sword. Judging from the kind of kitten that has been spoken on the forums here recently, have to say I have a nostalgic fondness for BP-Classic. Less calories, less chalky aftertaste, lol.

I’m not sure that we did. We’ve had a lot of guilds transfer in, and a lot transfer out. I think our numbers are up from say last March or April, but pretty stable since then. You folks had some big losses since then, I know you’ve had some transfers to Ebay but my impression is you haven’t gotten back to early 2013 numbers.

The kitten talk seems pretty stable too. There was and is too much of it for my taste, but that’s just background noise you get used to in a forum. It has no effect on my opinion of Ebay, you shouldn’t let it affect how you feel about BP.

VNG is pretty good and getting better based my runs with them. Definitely several people in there I had not seen in wvw before. Nalivan does a good job with them.

Aren’t Borlis Brawlers a GvG all star team? Don’t get me wrong, they’re definitely good. But, I heard they’re comprised of good players from different guilds.

That’s cool, but not as impressive as a normal guild group that plays together regularly.

No, not really. We have a handful decent players, majority of mediocre and some very subpar players. More often than not our driver is drunk, late or doesn’t have a kittening mouse. We never run together, we never practice; we just show up and kill kitten on gvg night. BB is open to pretty much anyone on BP who is capable of pressing buttons, has a level 80 character and has half a brain.

I’m probably going to hurt some feelings by saying this but I personally think that BB is pretty bad. I have no idea how we’ve managed to win all our GvGs aside from one against HOPE.

tl;dr we’re awful but you’re all trash.

Sigh…more BB misconceptions which must be cleared up. Several of us play drunk, not just the driver, but he’s the only one without a mouse. There’s no brain size test…how would we do that? We do let Gibbon bring uplevels, he usually just chooses not to. Pressing buttons is optional, staying alive is encouraged, and just kind of running around hoping not to be noticed is tolerated (in BB verbage that’s called tactics). And Vrael is being way too rough on himself, he’s par but not sub-par, certainly not awful, but as he notes we have to take who shows up and even when we tell him the wrong venue he finds his way to the match anyway.

Nobody owns the OS as I trried to explain to your server mates and my own. Its a giant arena who can tell the difference between seeing a few peoplr fight and a 2v2 ‘gvg’. It was two three guildies they went in during off hours and fought or died or did whatever they wanted.

It happens, I’ve made that mistake myself. I wasn’t there but I vote for taking Die’s word for it that it was a mistake and moving on. Also, even if a couple BB members were involved, this was not a BB incident. Leave us out of it, and no need to take shots at us. If you think it’s easy pulling together people from multiple guilds to do these gvg’s, trust me it’s not. It’s how we get to gvg so it’s well worth, but as a guild (or w/e you want to call us) we’ve done nothing to justify these shots, and to the contrary have been nothing but gracious with our opponents, Die included.

Lots of negativity about the arena here, I disagree with it, I think it’s great. Vids from that high platform provide an interesting new perspective. Borlis Brawlers had 2 gvg’s there this week, everyone loved it. And we are using gw2gvg for official matches anytime out opponents agree to it. A lot of guilds still are not registered there.

Thank you for the nice words. We acutely are the same Ehmry bay, few new guilds and commander but mostly the same. Most of PK is now Void and most of FTF is now ZoD. And we have been trying to get more organized as a server.
