It’s amazing that thiefs get BUFFED. Just before the last patch, they announced that thiefs will get their DPS down to more normal levels.

But they chickend out and didn’t do the change, they just changed the timer from 3 to 4 and called that a nerf (lol).

Now, it’s back at 3 and thiefs are just as OP as before.

I really, really wondered what happened inbetween.

Did all the WvW DEVs got a 80 thief on their accounts with zerker gear or so? It’s amazing how they can keep one class so OP. Highest DPS and stealth at will.

They really just need to make stealth work in a specific way when it comes to exiting it. If an opponent blocks or evades a skill the thief tries to hit them with while in stealth, the thief is thrown out of stealth with the revealed condition. However if the attack misses due to Out of Range, the stealth stays intact. This would fix the main complaint with thieves.

If you Block/Evade an attack it may not remove them from Stealth, but it does already let you know the Thief is directly on you and trying to attack. There are all kinds of options available to anyone by that point.

Not worth engaging someone who thinks warrior burst (opening from out of stealth, easy to kite) is better then a thief (opening from stealth). Good day to you sir.

Yeah, NOW you all admit “eles needed adjusting” but 2 weeks ago you claimed they were perfectly balanced. Maybe more eles should have spoken up and gave better ways to bring down ele effectiveness, instead most of ya’ll spent your time on the forums trying to convince everyone you were perfectly balanced.

Is the score ever really different besides numbers? JQ is in the lead, likely going to win again because they’ve got the coverage. SoR is about 4k points ahead of BG and BG is about 4k points behind SoR.

Not much is going to really change, besides the gaps getting bigger and occasionally BG will pull 48 hour shifts.

We’ve noticed this which is why on JQ, we’ve stopped putting so many of our resources into SoR BL. There’s no point face smashing into TW working so hard, when we can easily go into another BL and cap more points. It’s going to work against you guys quite frankly, TW sitting in one map works for us just fine.

Let them rot there for all we care.

There was a time long ago that we had all the best guilds thrown at us on our arrival to T1, now our BL is only a bag farm for any pugs brave enough to enter

The Hammer train in WvW just became utterly god-like if its one charge per ability.

Hammer trains are so easy to counter. Also if they are using a signet of might they are sacrificing one shout to do so which means less healing and less condition removal. Necros will still absolutely slaughter “hammer trains” regardless.

Ya, we’ll have to watch what the changes do to the game. I think that bunkers will still be viable, but I think you’ll see some new counters to them. It’ll be interesting to see what the meta does.

LOL. SoR must have had 10 less ppt than usual during NA primetime at some point. Mance was getting excited cause he wasn’t a giving us Spikes and Hooves for 4 hours for once. On a side-note, as a representative of Choo, I’d like to say that WE make the best clam chowder. KnT’s clam chowder is ok, but the flavor just doesn’t quite make the grade.

Post patch if your ele is using s/d you will have him on close range for over 40 sec while you are on swiftness with reduced chill duration no fear on serious cripple plus some boonhate and some unblockable kitten.
I wonder how top teams will adjust like tp and phantarams s/d with double arcane.
From what i see taking lightning flash is inevitable now even if you want to play it the alternative boy anf go the arcanes route…

I agree, damage isn’t really the issue for warriors.

But there is other warrior changes too. They mentioned turtles defense is being removed in place of a trait that reduces duration of all movement impairing effects by 33% and gives us short regen when hit by one of those effects.

That change makes us like the Guardians! Wouldn’t want to be the Guardian profession… oh right, forgot they also have permanent vigor and regeneration. Guess even with this “OP buff” as you are claiming we still wouldn’t be any where near as good as a Guardian.

Ok, so I’m fighting this Ranger in sPvP at the Temple. I get him downed while we are underwater. His pet tries to revive him so I stun him, which doesn’t stop the revive. So I kill the pet. Then I get downed underwater. I’m punching and kicking this guy and all of a sudden his dead pet begins reviving him again (after the skill cooldown is up I would assume). He get’s res’d and I die.

Not only can I not stomp this dude, but his pet can revive him even when both are downed/dead?

altho i do admit underwater the heal can be strong.. the mechanic it self is sound.. it’s hard to have enough time in a normal ground fight to use it.. underwater you stopped the heal with the interrupt and when the timer was up on lick wounds he just reused the skill..

a little note on pets and lick wounds.. if you kill my pet before i use it.. when i use my downed skill lick wounds it will revive my pet instantly.. as so not to deny me my class mechanic if smart players decide pick on my pet just before i die..

That’s a poor justification for having an “Instant win any tie” skill.

That is assuming the warrior has a stability utility available after he downs you. Regardless, any good ranger will destroy that warrior before he ever gets a ranger down so the warrior point is moot.

Yeah, but I’ve dealt with mesmers before, who were merely… effective. They aggravate people, because that’s what mesmers DO, and they usually make it out of fights when they are overpowered. But they don’t impress me.

This was a cut above that, and as someone who loves the class concept and so seldom sees it enacted so amazingly well, I felt I had to give the person their due. Like I said, that particular mesmer elevated it to an art form.

And besides, this one didn’t immediately withdraw, even given the odds – this player had effectively kept a few of us busy for something like 3-5 minutes, and only turned to thoughts of escape when a couple more of ours joined in.

Never killed any of us, either, but I had begun to suspect that wasn’t the person’s intention halfway through the fight – I was worrying that the length of the battle was going to distract us from executing our own plans, then figured that might just have been the point.

Mesmer is a faceroll class that has so many ways to avoid damage. I cannot respect such for getting away since it is very easy to do on a Mesmer. I almost feel like I have a god mode cheat on when I play my Mesmer.

Its cool guys, theyre moving to blackgate, which is the T1 server that is currently dieing. Theyll stay there for 2 weeks, realize they arent winning, and then go down to a t7 or t8 server to dominate again and feel like champions.

War Machine on Blackgate is actually a good option, it would give JQ something to think about (even though they’ll still outnumber us heavily) and give WM a good challenge.

SEA on Tier 1 is a joke, its just JQ PVDoor for FOO and co. I’m surprised they aren’t bored as batdroppings. There is no challenge for them when they outnumber everyone 5 to 1.
