We are talking about stability of a server, which is a matter of FACTS
We are talking about the SD of points, turnover of guilds etc

If none of those facts shows SoR is one of, if not the most stable server then your idea of ‘stable’ is wrong.

SoRs strong community is the only reason the server is in the position it is today and it shows no signs of letting up (infact strengthening with more guilds in discussions for transferring).

Winning WvW is about numbers.

I can tell why IRON left the competition in the EU bracket.

I think the problem is we dont have enough conditions. And it is a serious problem as this meta develops. They need to give us access to burning and confusion and other conditions.

The problem is the most common builds emerging are:

1, BM ranger – immune to a condition necro – as in they will beat you with 100% health because they cure 4 condis every 10 seconds without even having to think about it. It isnt possible for us to cover our bleed stack so it doesnt get removed and 10 seconds isnt enough time to really do much damage with our current conditions (espicially when they can perma dodge).

2, Sword thieves – again an impossible class for us to touch as a condition necro. We are literally just auto kills for the sword thief which again has an insane amount of dodges and condition removal. This build is probably the least fun build to play against that I have seen in this game

3, Ele – actually a class we can hurt due to corrupt boon and their condition removal. Still they have alot of it.

4, Engi – a class we are 50:50 against – although their self res and elite gives them a clear 1v1 advantage that pretty much cant be overcome (if they have these skills up).

5, Guardian – Converts your conditions to boons and removes them ON EVERYONE with shouts. Thus making it very hard for your bleed stacks to stay on a target.

6, Warriors – we can hurt these at least

7, Mesmer – again we can hurt these

As the current meta develops I am finding it hard to see a role for the necro. At all. I am tempted to run my warrior again tbh. Maybe it is time to role a power build.

I was kinda disappointed by CN’s Warrior Build, because it made no Sense whatsoever to me.

If you run 100b, you either need Frenzy, or a very reliable Immobilize; “R O M” didn’t run any of that.

It’s still baffling to me that no1 tries Sword/Shield + GS with Burst Mastery, it’s IMHO one of the best and most solid War-builds out there (although the MU is very important and the Team-Setup as well), but the current Meta favours the build quite a bit, cuz lots of builds have problems getting out of the Immobilize:

- Mesmer that run GS instead Staff (against Staff-Mesmers, the build has much more Problems as a DD)
- Ele’s with only 1 Stunbreaker that doesn’t even negate the Immobilize
- HGH-Engis: If they’ve used their Elexirs, they get 1-shotted and even if they have 1-2 Elexirs to get rid of Immobilize, they take a lot of DMG
- Bunker-Rangers: They can evade in the Immobilize, but at least you get rid of potential Dodges.
- Bunker-Ele’s: Once they’ve used up their Cantrips, you can simply spike them each time they switch to Water and deal lots of DPS, especially good for spiking with 1+ additional Players, because often, you can even prevent them to use their dodge-heal on Water.
- Guardians: Pretty decent DD/Support to bring down a Guardian.
- Bomb-Engi: Really useful against them, you should run some sort of stability though.

I use sword/shield and gs myself. The level 2 or 3 flurry allows me to get my full HB out way more then a bulls rush does.

with Burst Mastery, I can literally dish out a level 3 Sword F1+Full 100b every 8 seconds….. So good for longer teamfights with 2-3 Players (on most Maps, it gets annoying for a Warrior if there are more Players, because he’s Melee-only)

Nice, haven’t really messed with the new burst mastery too much (except in certain Longbow builds). Gonna give it a try. But I just love the sword man. The mobility and the flurry is invaluable against a lot of specs now. I do miss the burst from Axe and the CC from Mace but I always go back to the sword.

Yeah Coverage Wars 2 is boring. So is Zergball Lagwars 2.

Anet is adamant it is a 24/7 war. Make it a true 24/7 war and merge the EU and NA.

But TBH, I miss the old wvw battles from 4-5 months ago even with the culling. I had a lot more fun when the zerg sizes were much smaller.

The same thing happened to FA BL in Tier 2, they were red at the time. So two different occasions, both only effected the red BL. So I’m gonna go with its a Red BL issue, nothing to do with which BL has the most population. Besides, a BL that keeps DCing people is not going to have the most population.

:edit and it only seems to effect one matchup at a time so I suspect it is a bad server cluster that gets rotated.

Yes they are underpowered. An equally skilled player will beat a warrior every time. Warrior vs Warrior is the most balanced matchup for us.

Whatever the case may be for each server, be transparent with the movement otherwise this fragile balance will get skewed before anyone even knows what happened.

I think it’s fair no one wants to see SoR, or BG, or JQ in a position of unquestionable dominance again purely due to coverage.

What fragile balance? There is no balance right now and balance won’t be coming to T1 for a long while. EU guilds rarely ever move to NA servers.

BG definitely need EST and EU coverage to compete though, that much is obvious.

T1 is a bit kittened up nowadays. Don’t go there. Avoid it like it is the plague, it is the worst you could ever be.

So your possibilites would be:
SFR: Great server that had great guilds and many really good gamers. Too bad most of those left. I don’t know how the server is now but I would not move there. Too dangerous and it might even go back to T1. (T1= bad)
Piken Square: The new guild server. Very good guilds, nice organization and very strong. They are also in a very fun matchup (= very little arrowcarts, hooray). I don’t know how much fun you’ll having being guildless though. Don’t know enough about the server to comment on that

I don’t know a lot about Aurora, Gandare or FSP but those might also be worth looking into. I would not go any lower in the tiers.

There is no lag if you go to NA (A very select and unlucky few have the tiniest bit of lag, nothing gamebreaking). NA however is quite boring. More siege, different meta and less coverage in EU timeslots.

a 120man EU guild moved over to NA server to PvDoor hardcore and now every server in the top 2 tiers has to try to match that if they want to even have a chance of competing. It is much like a 100man NA guild moving over to EU servers.

I remember BG was beating us every week, and demoralizing our Sea players so badly that they convinced them that their best chance to get to T1 would be to transfer off of SoR to move to BG. We all know how that went though. 2 weeks later we moved up to T1 and BG dropped back down to T2 again.

You went up to T1 because you farmed a dead SBI who all transferred to your server and gained 250 glicko in 2 weeks. That had nothing to do with BG.

Not like you “earned” your way to T1 either.
