Some tweaks would be awesome. Most melee classes in other pvp mmos have an ability in the spirit of endure pain but it is usually on a 45-60s cooldown. 90s seconds is just insanely too long.

Yeah the cooldown is way too long hence why I never use this shout. Balanced stance is the much better option for me.

SoR has more numbers in certain timezones, while blackgate and jade quarry overpower us in other timezones. But it’s not always a matter of numbers. A highly organized guild can wipe out a large zerg with smaller numbers, superior tactics always come out ahead. Not acknowledging that fact and saying WvW is based solely upon numbers is quite humorous.

Winning WvW is solely based upon numbers, everyone knows this.

at the moment if you do not watch your back you are dead if a warrior hits you. If they are not kiteable you will die every time to them.

How is US t1 now?. Any guilds actually running in 20-30 man or is it all on 1 commander 24/7 60-100 man blobs all week?. Making usual excuse for being bad its not gvg its wvw… From reading first few pages seems fair few guilds interested in some GvG. How are the EU hours?. How is the lag etc?.

If u thought VS blobs on EU, u should see MERC and ATM here, they practically lag the whole BL with the skill delay.

but i haven’t faced any lag, and nobody has has complained of skill delay so far except while fighting ATM/MERC at their prime time.

but if ur looking at GVG with EU standards, u will be disappointed. the difference is a clear mile.

well, we apologize about you guys losing the garrison yesterday, you guys got a full que(according to SoR, they did try hard) defending your fully upgraded garrison with a 10 second skill lag and we saw the SoR post about how it would be impossible for BG and JQ to take it under that lag… so ATM and Ge merely want to farm that full que running into the LR held by MERC and ND…. and we only want to farm it for a bit… so we’re sorry it became a 2 hours farm according to SoR posts, time flies

be honest, ATM fights MERC and ND every day for god knows how long and NYS + SAHP backdoor us every day and no one complains on the forum like your 20 SoR posts right after that garrison farm…

this is why we like fighting MERC and ND because they are the only guilds that fights us again and again on open field, they don’t complain about getting wiped or 2v1ed and they don’t leave the map after 1 wipe or straight up avoid ATM map during T1 oceanic.

we have nothing but respect for MERC and ND, sometimes we wiped them and sometime they wipe us, everyone gets plenty of badges…(we do find fighting BG is much more fun and profitable than SoR oceanic that hides in fully upgraded and fully sieged keeps, we really don’t have the patience to treb SoR keeps with full que defending it…. not with our short 4 hour operation time.

but rest assured, ATM and Ge is back on BGBL today, and we had fun with MERC and ND, and we got our once a day visit from NYS and SAHP as usual =)

There seems to be a widely held set of beliefs about what is the right way to play this game and it seems like many of them won’t diverge from those beliefs even if it means they might lose.

Like I’ve heard many of the say on TS that they won’t help guilds transfer over for example. A lot of them talk about balancing the tier out instead of dominating it.

I’ve even heard some of the guild leaders say that they’ve turned away guilds that were interested in transferring just because they thought it might unbalance the tier.

I never really heard anyone on BG get overly concerned about that sort of thing.

I also don’t see as many guilds put in big overtime like I did on BG.

I’m on DB. I wasn’t there. But Dekar is only telling his side of a multi-sided story. If you believe what he said without question, you are naive. I’m sure what Dekar said is factual, but it’s also incomplete.

One thing many have to realize is that DB doesn’t have the experience in T1 and T2 to coordinate guilds and tactics. Until reaching T2, the standard strategy is good enough:

• follow the blue triangle
• pay attention to swords on the map
• if you don’t follow the blue triangle tell map chat what you see

The above strategy, plus our ridiculously large SEA presence, got us into T2, at which point a bunch of new, large, experienced guilds joined DB. The new guilds, hoping to make us competitive in T2 and maybe T1, wanted to change things, make DB more organized. It’s a wonderful idea, but it’s difficult to pull off when the non-transfers are used to doing things a different way. The original guilds have been adjusting to the new way of doing things under the prospects of better performance. Most have adapted quite well. Some individuals have not.

Is it so unusual that there is some resistance? Online gaming is full of people with big egos. Big egos don’t budge. It’s clear to me now that any server with strict and structured internal organization is going to end up with drama. Dekar’s experience is a manifestation of that.

To the original DB guilds: Let’s keep DB drama-free, like it used to be.
To the new DB guilds: Thanks for coming to DB, but if it’s not a good fit, good luck on whatever server you transfer to.
To trolls from other servers: I have erased what I was going to say here several times because I don’t want to be reported. Suffice it to say, mind your own business, be a man, and stop fanning the flames.

The system is flawed from the bottom up because of this. If you want to compete in WvW you need to have a high populated WvW population at all times of the day/night.

You shouldn’t have to recruit and campaign your server in hopes of getting that big guild for coverage, WvW does not have the amount of depth to revolve around this. It’s not EVE online. It’s a small map where zerg tactics rule the day. There is no tactical risk to sending your entire zerg to one location because they can easily be across the map in a matter of minutes.

WvW in GW2 is not a continuous world, the maps are so small that a high populated server can respond within minutes to any threat. There are very few tactical situation where a small force can defeat an enemy ration of 3:1, even less so with how ridicules arrow carts are at assaulting a tower.

It’s not a kittening real war, it’s a game, and any game designer will tell you that it’s fundamentally flawed in it’s current state.

Im pretty sure they did. IIRC I got peeved because we took an early lead for the first few hours then showed outmanned buff for the rest of reset day and lost that lead.

Oh and I’ve left JQ for SOR. Not sure if I’m staying, but playing with them for now. Looking for something different. If I enjoy myself Ill stay, if not, I might head to a low tier server and play there for a while. Since I mostly solo roam I wasn’t sure if to do that first, but Ill give SOR a go and see if I enjoy my time there.
