I don’t think BGs population disadvantage is as big as BG has been making it out to be in the past month(s). I’ve seen what BG has done this week with their numbers. They are a lot closer (if not even equal) to SoR than they would care to admit.

Perhaps it is the fact they are winning which pulls more of their fair-weather players into the matchup, I’m not sure. But the playerbase is there.

Yeah, let us use unbalanced matchups to make claims about servers populations! That makes total sense! And yes, lots of fair weather players out. But that is how WvW works.

I don’t think warriors are hard to play at all, their class mechanic is extremely straight forward. They have some of the highest damage potential however that comes without much sustain. In hotjoin’s most seem to run zerk warriors which is ridiculous as they are basically free kills (this doesn’t translate them into a class that is hard to play, just silly decisions build wise). Many tpvp warriors who run more on the defensive side are actually quite competent, more so in team situations with access to cc skills.

But yes, necro has the highest skillcap and a great necro can kitten most.

Umm warrior is extremely hard to play because EVERY class counters you as a warrior. People run serker because warriors do not have any sustain. Also chill and cripple hurts the warrior more then any other class. You may say its straight forward but it takes a lot of skill playing serker warrior. Knowing when to pull in and out of combat. Preventing people from rezzing. I win most 1v1s unless its a tanky ranger or a really good thief. It just takes skill. Also this tanker CC warrior you speak of is decent at that in tpvp (a bunker guard is just better) but that warrior spec takes no skill compared to serker

Yeah this is one thing you definitely notice even more playing as a warrior/necro.

At least as a warrior you can bring the horn and get vigor+weakness. 10 sec vigor 20 sec cd ability, for about 50% vigor uptime. 6 sec aoe weakness they will be buffing soon. The warhorn also clears cripple/immobilize/chill.

I can tell you haven’t played a warrior much in pvp. You will feel so naked in spvp without having a shield. I had no stun and no block and the vigor did not make up for that. Warhorn is a wvw weapon only for me and many other warriors.

Majority of our players dont do pve. Also we are starting to get worried about our rating as BG are about to go above us (Ahh what are Anet thinking), which means we may well get another one sided match up next week.

The new system is messed up considering that a sever can outrank another from rating outside of a direct confrontation. Any competitive ranking needs to be transparent and should never be based on gambling. The random roll can favour a server or another rating outcome based on the matchups. regardless of the true server strength. There is no way to verify the random roll and there is no 3rd party involved to predict and verify the results. It seems that Millenium site also waiting for ANet to provide the random roll (through the API or leaderboards) before the end of the matchup so they would then be able to predict next matchups.

That could happen in the old system as well.

Guess the definition of “impressed” varies from one to the other.

At present DB is in the bottom 5 for lowest score of all servers and this includes EU. At present they ticking at 90.

When warriors get the sustained they were promised you will see thieves disappear completely for the single fact that warriors do undeniably the highest damage by far of any class in this game.

They already can do thief spike levels, but they can do it aoe to boot. Backstab doesn’t cleave — 100b and whirlwind does. And in the meantime those spike skills are down, the warrior sustained damage far outperforms the thief’s sustained damage from autoattack.

And warriors bring more CC than thieves anyways. Just you wait till they give warriors more uptime and condition removal while they get to keep their absurdly better damage output. If people were complaining about thieves and mesmers gibbing them, just you wait now.

Don’t worry we oppose the use of arrowcarts anywhere in open field, use them on rare occasions during keep defense.

BG and JQ don’t think that way. Arrow cart is solution to everything.

Neither does SoR, they use an full map zergs and 10 arrow carts for everything.

Even if my main tournament class is DPS elementalist, warrior still my favourite class, and i can keep up with EVERYONE in 1v1, not to mention how i can kill my target in seconds when i enter a riot.

I play a war tank. I know… “roll a guardian, war tanks suck, boo, blah blah blah”. But in PvP it’s been working for me. The only class that I consistently have trouble with are Mesmers. Other classes haven’t been all that tough. Occasionally there is a godly player, regardless of class, that still rips through me.

I can usually jump into a group of four and hold them off for a good 30 seconds when my Rampage is up. I don’t win when going against that many, but if my team is on the ball they can take over some flags unchallenged.
