Warrs have great control options (all of the physical utilities, “Fear Me!”, hammer, mace, shield, and then a lot of control spread out among all kinds of other skills), and the largest build diversity as they have the most flexible set of weapons. They can bunker, tank, provide boon support, become very mobile, go high damage- low survivability, or go all-out GC. Their utility skills allow for vastly different playstyles, from control (physical utilities) to soloing (signets) to mobile team support (shouts) and all the way to creating fortresses of boons support with banners.

So please, don’t even start that.

Wow, if all that was true and worked outside of theory, we’d be the best pvp class in the game. Except we are at the bottom. I can tell you’ve never actually played a warrior.

In addition to the removal of culling, the meta-game for WvW has changed quite a bit. You used to see QQ posts on the forums because one server or another was “zerging” all over the map with a group of 35 people all bunched up together; that group has now ballooned to 60-80 people! At one time, this was mainly a Tier 1 problem, but since this strategy is the easy-button way to take over a map, it has trickled down through all of the servers with enough population to handle it. And that seems to be the main reason why you’re seeing more lag, more often over the last few months (there was always lag, but it used to be a Friday-night problem, or an Eternal Battlegrounds problem, and many servers didn’t even notice it.) And the part that really gets to many people is that you don’t have to be in the big 80v80 battle yourself, anyone on the same map as that battle is going to be wearing out the “1” button on their keyboard until it ends.

Again, Anet is aware of the problem and says they’re working on it, and many of us are hopeful of a solution. I would actually be pleasantly impressed if they can really eliminate lag, as it seems to be something you run into somewhere in almost any popular MMO. It is particularly annoying in WvW, though.

Actually, the 60-80 group existed way before people complained about it. They only complained about the supposed 35 group because that is all they see.

Being the weakest, you need to learn the dynamics of a 2v1 and how to turn them around.

Server A has 60 people and server B has 50 people and they are fighting, take your server C people of 30 and cut off server A or B reinforcements . once a side wins leave and push the server that lost on another front.

Learning server and commander dynamics is key as well. Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t just zerg down whoever, whenever you want. When u agree out manned, play the boring ppt game.

Oh, pot. I play oceanic tsym where I have 10 ppl trying to hold EB while the other guilds map hop. NA tsym is not my time. Maybe this weekend though. Add me and we can get some fights set up.

It was just a big shock from when I remember fighting tsym on SoS. They never full map zerged with two other big guilds like the choo/fear/tsym zergball did the other night. It really is disappointing that this is what WvW has become. I do miss those days when guilds were able to actually fight in open field without full map zergs and full map zergs didn’t rule every map. IT was fun setting up ambushes for each other and having actual battles that involved skill, not just steamrolling over 30 people with your 80.

Please keep in mind that SoR wasn’t doing much before IRON came to your server with almost two full guilds, leavign SoR with an EU presence that can cover a 40+ man zergs on 3 different maps at the same time. Now I am not down playing any of you guys on SoR and congrats on this weeks win and last weeks win, I think it is much deserved for you guys. Although lets not forget it is only becuase of IRON you guys are in the position you are in. Any how grats on winning.

Props to IRON. Not to try and take anything away from them, but SoR was T1 for a reason before they came over. The issue is, we probably received one of the best EU guilds in the game, as well as already having some of the best NA guilds, and I guess that coverage and how well IRON fits with SoR just screwed over the other 2 servers. Hopefully BG/JQ get some other good EU servers, and we can have full coverage all around for all 3 servers.

An answer I think Anet made for this was the upcoming patch where it may be easier to drop and gain a tier. This will stop a lot of transfers, which affect the fluctuation of how un/covered you are. People may still transfer, but I doubt quite as frequently.

Sounds like Anet is trying to destablize servers to promote server hopping and profit$. Well played Anet.

That is the thing i do not get about BT mainly why leave before a major update to the match up. I am fearful that they are kind of shooting them self in the foot because they are moving to a world that has Q nearly all the time they are just simply going to have a harder time getting into WvW. I have no idea what being in a T1 world will give you over being in a T2 or T3 world.

There is no such thing as having Q’s nearly all the time in this game anymore, even on T1 servers (except on resets).

I just looked through the Millenium scores and as much as I hate to admit it SoR isn’t really winning by much.

The scores are relatively close compared to the wins that BG and JQ had against the same opponents.

Anyways you should know that wrex was doing this for the laugh and trying to get some fights. Instead of the cat and mouse games.

You know, I have always hated JQQ. I think they’re the biggest bunch of whiners around and i love seeing them lose but the rubbish that comes out of your guildies’ mouths are pretty cringeworthy considering you’ve just transferred and already you’re acting like you carry the server while SoR had been competent to begin with.

Winning, losing, it don’t matter. I’ve seen server come and go, from back when Henge was dominating to the rise of JQ to SoS. Look at Kaineng and where they are now. Nobody wins forever. No one lose forever. The only thing that matters is how you present yourselves. Sure, it’s all for giggles. Sure it was just trolling to get the blood pumping. That doesn’t stop you from being a prik though.

There are better ways to go about getting a fight; being a forum warrior isn’t one of them.

We never ever stated we carry SoR. For all i know th reason we have it “so easy” is because SoR’s SEA and Oceanic.

But i was scouting yesterdays JQ zerg in Eb yesterday. They ran with atleast 60 players taking every BG they could consume. We even circles around the BGkeep to catch them. And we were 25 iron with 15-18 allies..
Still they ran towards bravost and stayed in. We started trebbing them. And instead of coming out, they start counter trebbing.

On BG border earlier that evening we had no competition. Thats the only reason we went to EB.
Guesz we’ll get some good fights this weekend.
