Just finished a scale 22 fractal, was mai trin, no fractal daily box appeared at finish, everyone else got one.
Last fractal ran was yesterday.
The event needs to be completed, not running. If you load into an instance where this has happened regardless of time then you can get it, otherwise you are locked out from getting it until Taidha’s is defeated whenever that next time the timer rolls up. That is the problem, the accessibility of the poi/sp is dependent on taidha’s defeat.
On Laughing Gull Island, Taidha’s Keep – have to wait for hydra queen boss timer (3 hour rotation) to show up otherwise you are restricted from getting these points due to being constantly teleported out.
This restriction should be relaxed so people can attempt map completion without having to plan around the boss timer.

The black lion specialist used to carry a tab to trade these in, they no longer have the option to do so and no one accepts these tickets as far as I know.
It is upside down when sheathed.
When sheathing the scepter it is placed the correct way but as soon as the animation switches to sheathed it flips upside down.
Another missed opportunity to build upon what they already created.
Imagine that in animation, converging water as your bow string.
Dryad bow is already in game as a HOM reward

Audio issue related to armour combinations and sound effect of walking.
Creates very prominant crunching, scratching, clinking sound alongside footfall effect, the volume is higher than other ambient armour related sound effect.
Video demonstrates this occurs with one armour set but not another set. Putting original set back on causes effect to appear again.
The audio issue has persisted for more than a year to date.
I thought this warrants mentioning if it helps to solve the warden not failing to attack issue.
This is in the Astrosintli Forelands area during the retake from the risen mission.
Fighting within the circle the warden had a 100% fail rate on attack every single time it was summoned.
Just stood there and did nothing as per every other report of this bug.
The observation here is that there is a layering / blending of textures here, is the map geometry beneath this tile pattern interfering with direct pathing.
These are the exact same crash logs I am getting as well, and I am crashing A LOT recently. I have logged a game bug and a support ticket but nothign of interesy has been resolved from either of those yet.
The seeming random nature of the in-game crash makes me wonder if your hunch may be correct and it is related to players with that combination of ele / wrist animation showing up and crashing my system.
Today I had a very unusual crash:
- the crash dialogue appeared as per normal
- the game itself kept running in the background with the dialogue above it
- I could see the zerg moving about killing one of the champs in eotm
- when i clicked the screen it dumped me then to desktop
Ditto here, I think it is something broken with GW2 as this only appeared with the marionette update.
Nearly every exit results in the error dialogue.
In game stability is a crap shoot, random crashes in a wide variety of situations, can be in a zerg, viewing a map, standing in lions arch. Today alone I have crashed 6 times out of the game.
The stability lead me to think it might be a hardware issue, however I ran a series of stress tests on my hardware and came up with nothing.
Include:
memtest
gpu temprature/load test
cpu temp/stability load test
hdd health
hdd defrag
gw2.dat repair
Everything reports as OK.
Considering GW2 was stable as a rock prior to marionette I can only assume something has changed with GW2 that is causing the behaviour.

(was an error log paste not relevant)

Today 3 crashes already all unrelated – once whilst looking at map, once in shatterer zerg, once idling in LA.
Ran repair on dat file nothing found, ran disk defrag – all fine, monitored cpu and gpu temps all stable, ran memtest all good.
The cpu/gpu load seems to have no bearing on the possibility of a game crash as I can operate in a WvW zerg for hours and have no problem and them crash upon returning to LA or opening the in game map.
Since Origins of Madness update the stability of my GW2 client has noticeably degraded.
The game crashes nearly every single time on exit (error submission statements briefly pops up and closes) and also frequently in game with no notice.
Prior to this update game performance was fine.
I have no additional info to provide as the in game crashes are hard to predict and the log-off crashes are easy to replicate (log-off = 90% chance of a crash dialogue)
Heh, you might as well start to come to terms with sucking it up.
ANet do not care about how charr or asura armor ultimately looks, it’s nearly all awkwardly stretched meshes to conform to the respective body shape.
Sword wave VS certain static objects.
Does not connect, no damage notification, target remains valid, locks guardian into repetetive sword wave use until skill times out and goes back to auto 1.
Not all static objects cause this behaviour.
The guardians sword main auto 3 “sword wave” has some unusual behaviour when attacking certain statics. It does not connect at all with the static does no damage and the guardian will continue spamming the third strike until the skill times out.
Same here as well.
On top of the exit crash I have also crashed out of game whilst doing marionette 4 times since the update. This is new to this patch, there were no such issues previous update.
1> In overflow, get dialogue to join main instance – says network error.
2> Also, no dialogue to join party member in main instance, does not show in context menu.
3> When instance dialogue pops and click travel, travels you to another overflow instead of main instance.

I wonder who ANet are designing this type of content for, it certainly does not feel like something smaller servers can do, only the likes of super guilds like TTS or massive high pop servers have a decent chance at doing it.
On my server Tequatl was deserted come end of the update week when it came out and it looks wyrm is going the same way. Day 2 and we have barely 20 people show up on the activation. I bet like I posted about Tequatl that it will be completely dead by weeks end.
A pointless rage post from an ill informed user. No effort to learn about why those mechanics exist in game economy. No effort to create resonable discourse, instead relying on insults. Bails at first sign that all their rage is misplaced when more knowledgeable users give them the facts.
As party lead got d/c from fractal.
Dropped to character select screen.
Unable to log back in on character to LA.
Dropped to desktop.
Logged back in on character into LA.
Try to join fractal, says world is full.
WP to elsewhere in LA, try to join fractal again.
Get network error message, dropped back to desktop.
Try to log back in on character to LA, getting network error messages.
The silly reply aside – it was never this bad. The human female models weapons were repositioned twice recently for both 1 handers and 2 handers and they sit properly on the character, I suspect something was changed for the worse, either way it needs to be fixed as it looks particularly bad where they sit now.
Then you should just report that last line, the rest of your post has nothing to do with the bug and is just a rant.
The daggers on my norn F theif appear to be quite some distance from her clipping into her arms now. The right side dagger is also further out than the left side dagger.
I recall that they were a lot closer to the body previously.
Oh cmon you knew ascended armour was coming, if you wanted to rush to level 50 that was your choice, there was no need to do so immediately.
Also while they are doing that;
I would also like a simultaneous talk about why they decided to make an already annoying fractal infested with dredge even more annoying by packing even more dredge.
I would sincerely like to know the justification behind that idea…
I am posting from the other side, I understand that commanders are both required in WvW and occaisonally in PvE. On my server the number of PvE commanders who have spent 100g for tags just for the notice-me factor is absurd and leads to stupid situations like the supplied screenshot (that is behemoth). The number of those commanders who are seen in WvW is extremely low to zero, on the flip side the WvW commanders never feel the need to gain attention outside of WvW so there is a definite divide on how the two communities perceive the commander tag imo.
Something needs to be done about the method in which tags are gained or alternatively they need to be split between WvW and PvE and both functionalities altered to suit ( I am a fan of a complete tear down and rebuild of the functionality). It would also be brilliant as someone else suggested to whitelist or blacklist tags in the interim so they do not show up on the map clutter.
Where is Lionguard Lyns
She is actually Scarlet
This would give a lot of people peace of mind, Bobby, I hope you respond: is the end of Scarlet’s arch already on its way?
I mentioned this elsewhere on the forums, but I’ll say it here again. There is an end to the Scarlet story that has been planned out. I’m not at liberty to discuss release dates or the timeline, though.
Yesterdays fractal was the last straw for me, I cannot care about the living world story any more. As long as scarlet persists in the in game world I will continue to ignore anything that is produced with her involvement, such is the absurdity of her character. I am a big fan of GW lore and the continued existence of scarlet is an effrontery to all the lore you have crafted in the past.
I sincerely hop your live teams continue to create at least half decent gameplay because that and the community is all that is holding my interest now, the lore component is gone.
Fractals have never had any waypoints and have been that way since they were released. This is what I think the OP is referring to not the recent bug they introduced.
Leaa what you are referring to is a bug and was patched in the short follow up patch.
The attack where risen pirates drink some booze and then throw it at you to create burning ground.
I have noticed this attack is uninterruptible by an engineer via air blast (has no effect on them) and also ranger greatsword with hilt bash (also no effect).
The interrupts were attempted during their drinking animation.
This is very easily to reproduce – go and try to interrupt a risen pirate when it drinks to prevent their flame attack.
This is definitely the case, I do a daily run in fields of ruin for wood and ore and the locations are different every single day. I know this because I thought I was going mad so I marked the map of one node and then logged out on the char at a second. Next day no nodes anywhere near where I logged out and marked, moved my char and the mark again – next day same deal.
Anet have definitely changed something about the way nodes are remembered, recalled on their servers.
Not a bug, it is intentional as mentioned in the developer live stream preview.
This is not a bug it is a complaint… you should go post this in the suggestions or LW forum.
My mesmer looks absurd when she runs now the gait is so stiff, out of all the things to change why this? I sincrely hope it is a bug because the change is for the worse imo.
That must be it, could not recall if I had uses a wvw item or not.
I have an exotic dagger transmuted into the claws of the desert skin – I have tried to salvage it with a black lion kit and the kit does no allow me to do so showing red on the icon.
Odd thing is I had no problem salvaging the sister to it which was also a transmuted claws of the desert.
No idea why there would be such a restriction.
I thought I was going crazy, I have a character parked in fields of ruin and every single day the tree nodes are in different spots.
You should be able to mystic forge them to reroll the ring or salvage them into vials. At least with vials you can forge them into the higher tier shards and crystals. At the moment they serve as single slot inventory warmers.
Justify to everyone why you deserve a precursor?
Because you put 2000 hours in?
What makes that more worthy than someone who supports the community on a daily basis? A commander who tirelessly works in WvW? A player who put 2000 gold through the mystic forge? Any number of other reasons?
You don’t need one and the attitude that you somehow deserve one for putting hours in is absurd.
Tequatl was abandoned on my server by the end of the week of its launch. Even before the event was actually out I predicted this would happen and lo and behold it was true.
Never been back since to see the stinky dragon.
see video : http://youtu.be/BaLQPjKkc18
summary:
- risen dragon appears and vanishes depending on distance
- unable to advance plot past “fall back to central courtyard”
It looks like all 2 handed weapons have been repositioned on the character. My 2-h hammer and staff on my human female guardian sits really odd on her back like it is way too far over on the left hand side like they are attached to the shoulderblade.
They also seem (mostly hammer) seem to rotate towards the front of the character as you run which is real unusual.
I solo this boss with my zerk thief, it isn’t hard – learn the mechanics of the boss.
The problem with a lot of the playerbase is that they are lazy as hell, and want the easiest method to do everything and for world bosses that is stacking on one spot and autoattacking. I am glad Anet made it more problematic for those players.
Anet have never done anything for Au / Oceania in terms of competitions or giveaways ever. The only time a single promotion ran in AU it required an immense amount of cajoling from one of the PC magazines here to get an exclusive minipet in GW1. Other than that…
