Free trial starts today. Do you want to invite new players for a trial and give them a patch that changes a lot of skills 1 day later? In addition, there have been numerous links here and in other threads pointing to the 15th.
Then they should give the patch before the new players pouring in so they can play with the fixed skills.

And they shouldn’t delete their own postings and instead make a new posting correcting the old one if it wasn’t true.

The moderator might of been misinformed.
Like I said in the other thread, I have seen nothing that states that the Lost Shores patch is today. The only thing that is coming today is the friend invite thing.
Lost Shores doesn’t start till November 16th at 12PM PST.

The Lost Shores EVENT doesn’t start till November 16th. But we kinda need the patch beforehand to download it. There may be people with a slower connection, so it might take them a while to download it.
ANet definitely is not very punctual. This is a pretty consistent thing.
I don’t know how they run things, but normally when a company sets an exact deadline like this you try extremely hard to be dead-on with it. It would be normal practice to have everything actually ready well in advance, and you simply wait until the deadline to do what was promised regardless of the fact that, due to proper preparation, it could actually be out sooner.
I feel like they procrastinate and leave it all for some last minute frenzy of effort.
Same with the patch notes being released hours and hours after the actual patch.
Mesmers are about the only class a thief complains about.

Well, those thiefs should just run with a zerg to kill the one Mesmer easily.

Well, title says most of it. In Ascalonian Catacombs on path 3, after destroying the burrows and being transformed into ghosts, the Mesmer’s trait for clones on dodge do not work anymore. This is especially annoying if your build mostly depends on it.

Really? Needing a small zerg just to kill ONE thief trolling a cap point doesn’t sound ridiculous to you?
And consider all the other things Mesmers can do. Take for example the Breeders in Ascalonian Catacombs. As soon as they start puking out their Hatchlings, drop Feedback on them and the Hatchlings will belong to you and start attacking the Breeder, because they count as projectiles. Most fun I had in a long time
Then control the situation. Use Focus 4 to pull them to you and then give them hell up close. The Mesmer being a control class needs YOU to be in control and to be aware where to place a skill and where not. And more important: when!
And on a side note: why are people constantly comparing the AoE with an Elementalist? Look at the kitten Necromancer! Staff + wider marks + 3 wells + ground targeting = 7 massively huge AoE skills. I can literally cover my whole screen in AoE
I’m hoping mantras get a small bit of love, Mantra of Pain I think could use a small damage buff (+150 to 200 damage at 80), maybe a slight reduction in cooldown on mantra of confusion.
Kinda wish there was an elite mantra, but that’s just me XD

I agree 100%. I just had a duel with 2 other people in PvP. We switched teams and took turns in dueling each other. Up until 3 more people entered the battle and ruined it by capping points and not caring about our duels.
Private sPvP rooms would make dueling in our own guild so much fun!
And yes, armor sets! It’s plain annoying to switch my armor piece by piece when I change my Mesmer from my Toughness/Vitality build to my Precison/Illusion shatter build.
10 minutes? There’s your problem. The longer the fight, the stronger the mesmer.
I agree with with Phoenixfudge: roll yourself a mesmer and try it. Best way to get to know the pros and cons of a mesmer.
Here’s my Allround build: 20/0/20/25/5
It gives me a decent amount of power and reduced cooldown for gs and staff.
It also allows me to survive nearly any fight due to toughness and vitality.
Especially in WvW I win fights by wearing off my enemies. Pretty fun build with high survivability.

I don’t understand why people are complaining. Yes, the tower can be frustrating, but I had fun all along until I finished it.
What? You did what all people did and created a maximum sized Norn? Just create a little Asura or Sylvari, do the Puzzle and quit complaining.
And I don’t know where the problem with other people being in the tower is. I didn’t have a problem at all, even with a Charr blocking my view. As soon as you are past 1/3 of the way, you’ll most likely be alone.
That being said, I want to thank AN for this lovely jumping puzzle. It was a real challenge and fun to play.
