With each patch, the sound problems get worse.
I was new to MMO’s with GW2 (well, I did play GW1 for a week, and then found something else that took my interest). So this was my experience that may help you.
I started with an elementalist and was getting killed quite often.
1) Generate a guardian. The elementalist is squishy and you will die a lot until you learn some tricks to stay alive longer. The guardian tends to be a lot tougher.
2) Keep moving when in a fight. Some weapons/skills won’t let you move while doing something.. use them when you’re not being attacked or can get one off without too much damage to yourself.
3) Dodge. This is the big life saver. Use it judiciously, like when a big attack against you is about to happen (you can practice dodging bears in Queensland, lower left area, they rear up just before attacking, the perfect time to dodge). I’m still learning when to dodge some of the enemies.
4) Fight everything you find, just to get use to it.
5) Dodge… (very important tactic).
Once you’ve gotten good with a guardian, then the elementalist will be a lot easier.
It’s odd. When I was leveling both, I didn’t like the necro — it was the last one to make it to level 80 as it seemed weak compared to the elementalist. But at 80, I find the necro more enjoyable than the ele. I love sucking the life out of groups of enemies with death shroud, and dropping “tainted shackels” on one of them.
I found them both to be rather easily killed at lower levels compared to other types.
Got up to 10/12 puzzle jumper in monthly, and every jumping puzzle I’ve done after that has not counted… including those I’ve never, ever, done before.
Still not fixed. Chest open upon arrival. log out, come back in, still open
Lion’s Arch, Trader’s Forum Waypoint (the most prevelant – others in LA have the same problem as well). Transporting to the waypoint I am stuck there for tens of seconds, then suddenly appear to where I may have walked during that time period.
That’s the problem I’m seeing there – not enough people to take the temple, or even group up to take it.
I had several disconnects yesterday while doing invasion events in Blazeridge Steppes. No disconnects in other maps. All the while, when I saw a disconnect coming (skills not responding), I could communicate with others through the chat panel.
It’s been around a long time. I find that when it occurs, it takes 5 seconds before the next item can be sold.
Shame on you for forcing people that can’t do jumping puzzles to do one to finish up the collections. I’ve been at this for an hour and still can’t get past the first part.
CONS: Nothing for those of us that aren’t very good at this
Same here, stuck at 99% and 0.0KB down.
Title says it all. Can’t get to where I want to go, the waypoint is always contested. As are many of them.
Bears are another critter that indicates what they’re going to do a couple of seconds before the attack hits.
Shaman Purda is still broken today too.
WvW can give some good XP quickly too.
Why kill invaders at jumping puzzles…
Because they’re evil.
And it’s really a CHEAP action to do.

The biggest problem with the char is jumping puzzles. They’re so big, they obscure where to jump.
The launcher getting slower and slower at connecting. Use to be it would connect right away and I could log in. Lately, starting about 3 weeks ago, it takes longer and longer to connect.
Garrenhoff was well
I keep getting the same email over and over, titled:
More Information, and Our Thanks

Maybe now the nub Mesmers will leave for other cheap classes.
Gettin’ real tired of the bads crying over FIXES!I don’t see how our phantasms not spawning and us getting “obstructed” when they are right in our face being a “fix”. They just need to remove the LOS or add it to every class.
And that’s the problem I see. Clear line of site to someone on the ground when I’m standing on a wall, and getting “obstructed” when casting is just not right.
I find the mesmer now next to useless in WvW. All it can do is stand around waiting for someone to fall off a wall during a seige. In the mean time, the thief appears/disappears so much it like a hack.
I forget to mention the GPU driver: one back of current – 306.23

Same problem here with the network error / not found.

Troll/Spam thread
This means nothing. It doesn’t identify which post I did, nor does it explain why some forum moderator thought it was such.
This is mild compared to what I’ve seen on other forums.
re: Adrenaline is rising when it goes down- It’s not just a Char problem – my sylvari warrior has the same thing.
Happens to me too (Rife/axe-axe worrior).
I’ve never seen a bot die. How do they do that?
I do not understand why they are not dying – they never seem to take damage.
Since the patch this week, whenever my warrior jumps or drops down from a height, the sound presented is like a tin can with a rock rattling around in it.
For the most part, I use Teamspeak, though I have Ventrilo and Mumble installed as well.
