Avoid trying to fight zergs unless you enjoy dying to retaliation from players who don’t even know you exist
Ye, it’s always done this after a really bad lagfest fight, usually either in SMC or a garrison. For awhile after the battle, everything goes off as if you had quickness. Makes for some crazy gibbing action, but every team seems to get it.
BONNIE TYLER – I NEED A HERO
who even needs a score update. these teams mean more fun than caring about score anyway!
Typical late week kaineng, people stop playing after Wednesday :P
I’ve done dredge fractals in the 60’s of fractal level without using spy kits with no problem.
If you can’t do it without spy kits, the problem is your players. Unskilled players who can’t figure out how to kill mobs while avoiding damage are just going to fail now. I’m glad this change is in.
Paying in Bag of Loot, redeemable upon murdering people
What if you hit the ceiling?
No. Get rid of them. Having a cooldown doesn’t matter when an item gives you access to conditions and such that you wouldn’t normally have. There’s a reason this game has a heavy restriction on how many utility abilities you can slot. Putting longer cooldowns on consumable items just makes them part of an item rotation. It’ll get to the point where you’re not fighting a profession, you’re fighting a hideous amalgamation of items that are being tossed at you.
You’re doing it wrong. You need to do this much damage with gear throwing!
These are pretty ridiculous. I tested them out earlier in the week and killed 5 people trying to take my supply camp solo. They crit up to ~7k while chain stunning groups. This video doesn’t showcase one of the most ridiculous facts about the gears: they bounce from target to target, I believe 5 times. And lately with all the posts concerning them, they’re just getting more and more popular. At least they’re expensive, so you know the people spamming them are wasting plenty of money(I know, GREAT consolation right there..).
I think trebs would be better if they couldn’t be placed inside keeps/castles. Trebuchets that you can’t reach without breaking into the inner courtyard of a fortified structure make for pretty dumb gameplay. Stonemist can bombard a bunch of towers freely, Garrison keeps can blast away at Bay keeps, etc. While there’s ways to take out these trebuchets, I think the way to siege should be by teams manning and guarding siege engines, not placing trebuchets in crazy spots while firing away via autohotkey.
Oh man, another video of dual dagger thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This almost fills my excitement quota for the day. Anyone have some footage of a bodybuilder throwing an 8 year old through glass windows?
They’ll be gone soon enough. Golems got removed for a good reason, all these will be removed for the same.
Hammer isn’t good for tagging? lolwut. My warrior has no problem getting the vast majority of kills in fights.
It’s probably something to do with playstyle. Just because a weapon cleaves, however, it is no comparison to an Ele dropping aoe. I get a lot of kills, but nowhere near the count of ranged dps classes.
How many kills does your hammer warrior have?
Couldn’t tell you. The count is account-wide. About 40k total but most of my playtime is on engineer. I’m also borderline suicidal on my warrior and charge into everything first while swinging away, so I get taps on everything pretty much in the way. Even with full pvt gear the hammer hits hard enough for loot.

It’s definitely a demographic that’s grown a lot over the last decade. When I first played WoW in 2004, the amount of other women I met was substantially lower. In the guilds I played in, there would be maybe one or two others. At times I was alone! Nowadays there is a lot more balance. It’s certainly not a 50/50 thing, but the amount of other female gamers these days makes me happy!
As to why I like WvW? I’ve always been a bit of a pvp nut I suppose. The atmosphere feels less competitive than sPvP and you meet a lot more people! WvW really has a lot of things to do and it can keep my crazy ADHD self interested for hours upon hours at a time. Just don’t ask me to fire a treb! Especially you, Jang Gun. Stop asking me to fire the treb. I don’t want to!
If a Mesmer is downed you walk up to them and press f sometimes twice if you don’t have any blinks. If you swing your sword at a downed Mesmer you deserve to be on the floor right next to him.
I was referring to underwater combat, where you don’t have that option.
The worst is a condition damage mesmer underwater. Have fun with that one.
only that as of last patch mesmers stack bleed with auto attack and clones instead of confusion.
Isn’t the downed skill still confusion? I remember a few times sweeping bay keep for mesmers, killing one, only to have them nearly kill me from downed state confusion :P

You guys are the reason they took out the golems in a box…increase CD don’t remove fun toys.
So if they sold an item that instantly killed another player but had a nice long cooldown, it’d just be a fun toy that should still be in the game, right?
No.
They removed golem in a box because it was completely ridiculous, these other things need to go too.
Theres a huge difrence in game style play in these videos heres another one not to old from WM if the other video watched next to this one u tell me whos boting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VSrx8GWwbM
I dunno these look like a different subset of WM. They actually spread out and range attack. Plus this is happening on Borderlands where as it seems the zombie WM guys are in EB.
It’s the same WM as any. It happened on the borderlands because Kaineng had ~650ppt at almost all times and that was right below Ehmry’s spawn, where there was actually something to fight(however uncoordinated it was). You can hear Jang issuing orders the entire time, much like he would be in that Danelon video. If any of them get too far, he’ll even call them out to make sure they’re moving with the group. You can hear it when the filmer(Kaktiel) gets immobilized and Jang calls out his name because he’s not with the group. From the defender’s side you see a lynch mob running in unison. I see 60+ people in a teamspeak channel that I doubt are there just for show.
They split plenty. What they were doing there? Farming easy kills. If you weren’t a thief, you’d have died several times just like all the other maguuma players in that camp.
And stomping? Lol? What kind of baddo actually does this in large fights?
Are you being pedantic? Stomp or kill its the same thing and they don’t do it in a number of cases.
Who died serveral times? Some died once and stayed to watch the hilarity. The only people who were downed were directly in front of them and they didn’t even finish them all (including myself). I was downed and while unstealth, they didn’t finish me or stomp.
Farming what? Their whole guild got what, 15 kills and 0 Karma in 10 mins? Ok that’s ‘farming’ by Kaineng standards maybe but a group of Real players who are organized could do that with 1/4 the numbers or less. I mean sometimes I can do about 8 kills in 4-5 mins solo but if you’re karma training, of course you wipe everyone and take the camp before leaving. How could someone in Kaineng not know this??
They’re not going to break formation to try and finish one thief who shadowstepped away. That’s what gets people killed, like that rando pug that died at the start of the video. And let’s be real, karma? I really doubt they still care about karma. They don’t even stop to capture road sentries because it’s a waste of time.

[WM is botting/multiboxing…]
This post is so full of fail. For the first two ‘cases’, it’s called being good players and understanding how to play WvW. Why would members of the zerg stop to deal with one member, who is hardly going to do anything to them at all if ignored? The guild claim NPC is much more important of a target to take down in lords room than any players, and if people stop to attack the one fool who is trying to distract the enemy force, it slows down the capture. Focused fire is the best fire. WM players are very disciplined, they attack who/what Jang attacks without question. In terms of defending, your priority is always to be in the lords room. If you’re in the lords room then the enemy cannot cap the structure until you are dead. Zergs that get caught up on single players are poorly disciplined, they should always be going as fast as they can to the commander and/or the target.
The last case is something that no one can answer other than WM. I have played WvW with WM many times from when they were on SBI, and I can recall times where we would sit there and auto attack reinforced gates to death from as much as 50% ‘health’. No one expects the zerg to sit there and auto attack a gate to death, and it is a lot easier to focus siege on enemy siege, than it is to pick off a loose zerg that is using their skills on a gate.
WM and Jang Gun know how to play WvW, they’ve been at the top of T1 and played against most of the good guilds in the American server scene. No one in T1 ever accused WM of botting, perhaps it’s just the lower server players lack of understanding of WvW that results in this conclusion.
Your rhetoric is so full of kitten. Rather then keep spewing it, try actually running with their zergball. Also try to find them zerging with only WM and no random so you won’t be confused.
I don’t give a kitten about their history either. Maybe no one noticed before, maybe they just started recently, or maybe they really are braindead. Doesn’t matter, people are just stating their observations. I didn’t believe the claims either until I saw it for myself.
All someone needs to do to avoid being targeted is step to the side out of auto attack range. They can be literally standing next to the zerg just out of melee range or following right behind them attacking and they wont be touched (except by other randoms running with the zerg).
Have you ever noticed their zerg split up? Even when it makes sense to mop up and capture a circle? I haven’t. I don’t think they can.
I’ll post a video tomorrow so you or anyone else can draw their own conclusion on whether its bots or just braindead. It’s an almost pure WM zerg trying to take a camp from what starts at around 6 players and gradually builds up over 5+ minutes. All they need to do is split up and clear the circle but they can’t do it. They can’t even stop us from ressing the supervisor over and over. They keep running through like a blind bull ignoring everything except what’s in front of them and the only reason anyone’s in front of them is because the constant stealth culling abuse.
Ultimately they leave for no apparent reason while still heavily outnumbering us and still completely ignoring anyone who attack them from the side or behind while they’re leaving. If you think that’s organized and ‘being good at WvW’ I want to know who brainwashed you… Actually I’m surprised no one else has posted videos like this since I’m sure we have lots of clips like it.
For anyone on Maguuma or DB, try attacking their zergball from the sides or behind. The only people who will ‘see’ you are randoms tagging along with the zerg.
@the rest of Kaineng, nothing against your server as a whole. You have a whole lot of people and good coverage but almost no roaming presense and a very suspicious guild.
I shall introduce you to a new and wonderful word.
The word is “farming”.
Stopping to kill one target when there’s a more important objective will slow you down. in-combat run speed is considerably slower than out of combat. It simply isn’t worth their time to always kill one guy when there’s something more important to do in a time sensitive manner. I’ve run with them many times, and they’re highly disciplined and know better than to chase after individual targets and get split up.
Blaming servers for that is pretty pointless. Most people who do it aren’t there to help a server but to just grief someone else. It’s doubtful they have any loyalty to any server.
People care about the score a bit too much. Just enjoy the fights. And with Kaineng winning by such a large margin? Just look at the matchup predictions for next week. Ehmry Bay and Sorrow’s Furnace. A t8 server and another server they spawn camped almost 24/7 two weeks ago. They might “win” this week, but you can sure believe there won’t be much fun for them next week.
They say this because if EVERYONE followed them, nothing else would get done on the map.
Siege weaponry, on the other hand, should NOT have a limit to the number of players it can affect. I’m not too sure on the current status of siege gear.
I hear some reports there are limits and others that there are no limits.
There’s no limit on siege. Also, I can’t think of too many instances where my grenades would actually even hit more than 5 players outside of these ridiculous stacks. The radius isn’t that large. Increasing the aoe cap would rarely, if ever change how much damage I’m putting out. Two dodge rolls can get almost anyone through a chokepoint, then add on class defenses and you can push through even in these situations. The only people that die in those heavy aoe chokepoints are the people who just hold down “w” and soak all the damage.
Not like DEYS or whatever is actually even any good. Bunch of 1 trick ponies who figured out a borderline exploitative tactic from the more talented Europeans and brought it to the US realms after getting tired of getting wrecked there by the superior guilds. If they ever fix the stacking crap you’ll see them getting slapped around nonstop, much like you do any time they’re not abusing it.
It’s even funnier when they try to justify it taking either skill or coordination. Really hard to stand in a huge cluster. Weeks of practice guys. Granted, for people on their level of intellect and talent it might actually be a challenge. Maybe I should be more sensitive.
I love it when the enemy stacks. That might also be because my main is a grenade spamming, glass cannon engineer. If they decide to stack then at 1500+aoe circle which adds another 100 range, most of them can’t hit me. If they want to stand there and be slaughtered by my nades then I have no problem with it. In fact, I much prefer it than them running around, dodging my nades and all.
Very very obvious you’ve never played against this tactic. 90%+ of your grenades will be coming back and hitting you instead. The ones that do hit are healed up instantly.
I love how people say this would be an easy thing to counter when they have absolutely no experience with it.
HoD is just fine. They’re just called Blackgate now.
It’s been a tactic for a long time that just exploits aoe limitations. Most attacks only hit 5 targets in their radius, while a lot of healing, very specifically warrior shouts, heal infinitely many targets in range. All the incoming aoe hits various different targets in the clump and deals no siginficant damage to any one player while they ALL get a lot of incoming healing. If any of them get downed? They can all just be spamming F and have them back up almost instantly.
It’s a very low-skill requirement tactic that’s very easy to use and soundly beats any unorganized force. Combine it with mesmer portals for the group and it’s really dumb. The mere thought that grouping up can be the strategy to mitigate AoE damage is terrible design.
Unless they broke down a wall
Who from Blackgate is on SBI now?
I don’t know many of their guilds but I haven’t seen anyone new lately.
just like you can bandwagon to jq, they can play where they want
those things really have a mind of their own
a+ thread would read again
jq should really keep a better eye on their orbs. it’s like their just leave the keep on their own. i wouldn’t want to be green either though so it’s understandable.
You can’t capture or hold a point while in stealth…
See, thats the problem. People are complaining about Thieves without having any idea how the skills work.
It’s funny you say people don’t know what they’re talking about when you are completely and absolutely 100% idiotically wrong.
No, I get the trick to work fine. I’m just saying grenadier doesn’t work. You still throw only 2 grenades with a maximum range of 1200 for some reason.
I tried it with grenades for the hp/stability, but unfortunately the grenadier trait doesn’t work with it.
A normal ballista would have taken 11 shots to down my warrior. That’s without using any healing or dodge. Arrow carts aren’t even remotely threatening to anything unless there’s 3 or more. One player can heal a downed player for significantly more health than one arrow cart can deal in damage, so have fun even finishing someone off if you do manage to down them.
the problem is cloak and dagger. you can keep doing it almost forever with the right build.
also with that many players nearby you essentially get up to about 3 extra seconds on every stealth due to rendering issues.
it doesn’t take skill, it just takes a dagger offhand.
hey guys transfers are a problem
-signed,
some moron who helped stack jade quarry with more bad guilds
well this thread could be pointed at any one of about 3,027 people. best of luck.
I feel bad for all those good guilds that were on JQ. They already had to evacuate, now the server is just stuck with garbage zerg guilds like that ELSO and FIRE or whatever. Now it’s just like wading through fields of loot bags while they just repeatedly throw themselves at gates and clump up for aoe.
