Anet,

Blue tends to be the 2nd place server, why is it that the merchants on their keep spawn between the outter and inner wall, instead of on the inner like the Red keep(last place) and the Green keep(first place)?

I suggest we change the merchants/repair to all spawn in the inner keep for all 3 keeps.

If they made Golems defensive they’d have to make them effective against foot soldiers. Sounds scary.

not really.. they would be defensive against range attacks(by using the projectile protection bubble).. anyone that enters that bubble can then attack the golem and any siege protected by the bubble… This promotes fighting player vs player combat.

So if golems were designed to actually help support siege, then you would see more teams of players attacking defended towers/keeps using the golem to help keep their siege alive

Yeah but it would be mobile so it is harder to destroy, it can retreat if the situation looks bad, it also would have a lot more hp than a normal arrow cart.
Also make it so they can’t be used inside towers, keeps and castles to defend the walls and lord room entrances otherwise it would be overpowered.

I also think golems should not be able to teleport through portals, they are not players.

omega golems already fit the role of ranged dPS monsters.

Currently, golems are game breaking. They ignore all the rules of the current siege mechanics in the game. More then 5 golems can populate a single area without any conflict what so ever. Heck we can’t even place more then 5 rams in a single area, because that would be totally game breaking, so why are we allowed to do it with a powerful mobile siege unit as the golem? Why are we able to have 30 golems standing on top of each other, in 1 area burning down a fully upgraded keeps gate in seconds… seconds!

If this game is about the Fight, why are we playing a game of ninja golems?

So with this, i have a suggestion to change the role and mechanics of the golem, so that it’s no longer an offensive siege tool to build 10 of them to go ninja rush some fully upgraded keep. but instead a siege tool that is used to protect the siege that is already currently placed. Also able to move around to protect the players as well.

Lets have the projectile protection bubble on the golems #3 be a constant protection bubble that is always active. So the golem has to stand near catas/trebs in the distance, and protect them from range, or stand near the rams at the gate and protect them from the catas that are set up behind the keep gates.

This protection bubble also does not allow any other golems to enter it. So you can’t have more then 1 golem at a gate at any given time.

This will promote actually engaging each other and entering into the bubble to attack the golem and siege that it’s protecting. This will also promote using RAMS again instead of just focusing on the mass golem pushes over and over again.

So please ANET, look into the balance around golems, and look into changing their role into a protective unit, instead of an offensive unit.

What if the roles of the GOLEM changed to be more of a defensive siege to help protect other siege?

-GOLEMS projectile protection bubble is now a constant.
-No other golems can enter the protection bubble space(so only 1 golem per area)

This would change the role of the golem from being a massive ninja attack, to, a protective siege unit that stands near rams at the gate, or near the catas in the rear, and force close combat engagment becuase you can no longer just range down the siege with a cata behind the keep gate.. you have to actually jump out and engage!

Golems are not for PvP.
Golems are for avoiding PvP.

That is pretty much the case point right there.

And as another poster stated… ALL siege in the game is restricted by a limit within radius.. Golems ignore this, and thus break the game balance mechanic when doing so.

here is just a random video out of hundreds and thousands on youtube showing how golems require no skill, avoid the fight, and just ignore all the rules of balanced siege mechanics the game offers..

Heck, maybe another idea would be to have the golems projectile barrier be perma. But also, no other golems can enter it.

An "Outnumbered" Defense Buff

I think the outmanned buff should:
-increase siege damage by 33% while outmanned
-reduce gate/wall damage by 33% while outmanned

This will allow the outmanned realm, to actually be able to do the only thing outmanned players tend to be able to do. Bunker up and defend.

I think you have all not read what i have actually posted.

I’m not saying to change golems attacks, or anything else about them other then, to actually create a battle marker on the mini map when they are used with more then 2 in an area.

Heck i would even be more inclined to say, that if 3 or more golems are in a radius of each other, an event marker is triggered and followed around them on the map.

Are golems game breaking?
Do to bring more or less to the overall WvW tactical gameplay?
Do they provide any skill at all to the game other then, porting into a zone with 80 people, triggering the BO event, and instantly popping 8 golems that can burn down a keep gate in seconds?

I have a suggestion to bring GOLEMS into some form of balance. I would hate to actually limit the number of golems a team wishes to spend their funds on, but i also dislike the idea that a fully upgraded keep, can be lost instantly without anone even having time to counter it by golems, now more so then ever, because you can still roll up to a keep with 20 golems, and not flag a battle marker. Pretty broken.

So my suggestion is. Have each alpha golem count as 10 players and each omega count as 15. So that if an army brings to many golems to a keep, it will flag a battle marker at the keep.

This game should be about the fight, not about taking fully upgraded keeps down in seconds just because a team can bring 24 golems to a keep, and not flag it as a battle.

Gotta say I am really impressed. Those two times you went down you had the ability to dodge it and get away, but just must have flubbed it. I feel like you could do a full solo run despite those moments.
That being said, you had some incredible thief play. I’ll have our dudes here take a look at it to make sure nothing funky is going on or something isn’t broken, but from my point of view this was just a nice classy run. Great job!

NSP has a strong population, they just need to focus. Stop trying to be in all 4 lakes. Heck if they were sharper, they should take advantage of moments when BP is hitting ARBL, and start taking locations from AR in the AR BL.

Same with hitting BP at the same time you see AR hitting BP.

And avoid hitting EB at all cost, that zone is a waste to you at this point.

BP really doesn’t do it. You may see BP in NSP taking a tower with the BO event. But you don’t see BP taking keeps over there.. or upgrading them to waypoint like you see AR has in NSP. =P

BP did have a big push in NSP this week tho, because some commander came back to the game, and tried to get everyone to rally behind his leadership again! and called the whole server to come attack NSP in PvDoor! SO AMAZING!!!!!

Balance Issues:

There is no true counter for stealth.

To balance stealth some of the following should happen…
-Damaging a stealth player should still reveal the damage numbers where the stealth player is positioned/running/standing..
-If a stealth player attacks another player, and that player blocks/evades the attack. The stealth player should be revealed instantly.
-stealth players should no longer “fade” in. once you are no longer stealthed. a black smoke should appear as you reappear.
-If you have a stealth player targeted before he enters stealth, that target should remain when he unstealths.

and yes, i play a thief, and it’s a broken broken class mechanic.

What i find odd is this…

NSP always butts it’s heads on fights between AR and BP. like if BP takes a tower from AR in AR BL.. NSP swings in to take the tower from BP… why? why not take the other tower from AR in the AR BL, while they are distracted engaging on BP?

Stay on your half of the map! lol

We are constantly taking the battle to ARs map, do you really want BP attention to be focused on your map NSP? what good would come of it! we don’t want to feed on the underdogs!

Why are Guardians "heals".. so low?

I have a shout warrior, with maybe 200 points in healing power.

When i use my shout heals train, i heal for roughly 1500-1700 hit points per player.. my shouts have about a 25sec cool down on avg, allowing me to spam up to 4500 hitpoints(22500 total) to my 5 allies and 4500 to myself.

Then my Guardian, with 600 healing, using Battle Presence.. only heals for 125 a tick.. every 3 seconds, healing for only 1000 over 25 seconds to myself and 5 allies… (5000 total).

Next up Altruistic Healing, It heals me for 79hp per players i apply a boon too. Doesn’t seem to heal me per boon applied. So with that, it still only heals me for a max of 395… a top spec heal, that doesn’t heal for anything?

Suggestions:
-Give Guardians “Shouts heal allies” and have it work for 1500 a pop.
-Have Altruistic Healing , heal for EACH boon given, and have each boon heal the guardian for whatever your total healing power is.
-Have Healing power actually work as a flat value and give that much extra healing to any heal skill
-Have Virtue of Resolve, tick for your total healing power.

I am a very sad panda, that i love my guardian, but my warrior offers so many more tools for healing support then it does!

Commander tag Perks....

I was thinking about the commander tag and how it can get improved.

So here is my suggestion!

With the commander tag, you can also purchase additional upgrade(or maybe your commander tag has it’s own leveling system).

But it would allow the commander to activate buffs for all those that are in his squad.

So if you join a commanders squad, you will gain some benefits from it, like 5% more vitality. or 5% more damage output. Which all would stack with your food and other buffs. or 10% movement speed… etc etc

This will give a bit more intensive for people to command, and for people to join their command.

calling target when solo would support us PvP players in allowing us to single out some targets in large scale WvW combat. It helps when dealing with mesmers, and heck, just being able to have a large target over the persons head you need to focus on, works wonders.

I think we can all agree that the only reason Borlis Pass is not winning is because of the constant double teaming whether it’s intentional or not. (Reset day and right now)

Would it be fair to say that the only reason that BP won last week was because of the constant double teaming that AR received. Intentional or not, reset night and all week?

You are in long ques because you are in zerg servers.

My guild started in SoR.. then once it started going to high up in the ranks, the que times were about 6 hours long. It killed our guilds morale. So we jump ship down to a lower tier server, and love have no ques!

Yea some crazy fights out tonight in AR BL. It’s been a long time since we have done the friday night fight in the borderlands, over the past few weeks, our guild has sorta focused on EB. We got a little tired of it this week, and decided to just take the fun to AR!

BP is in the same demoralization spiral as DR. Will be interesting to see how this matchup plays out. It could be a pretty even match.

i dunno about you, but didn’t see any demoralized players tonight in EB. Just many players all playing the game for the same reason.. punch teeth in!

Someone taking the time to revive someone else in combat means, there is now 2 people removed from the fight. Take advantage of this.

However, perhaps the amount of life they get reviewed with should be adjusted to maybe 35% life?

Rough times in EB tonight… we were able to flip SM, and take back a bunch of our lands.. then DR takes a bunch of our lands.

Then Mags troops show up in bulk. outmanned buff for the past 2 hours! Had a few nice open field fights, but the pug can only do so much against some of those zerg guilds.

getting hit in borlis and eb, our troops can only be spread so thin. We surrend EB to the zerg.

This is the BP way we cant win so we exploit siege up in spawn to treb the keep We where able to kill the treb and ran off but i stayed and died for the Screenshot think you guys should just be perma banned for doing that but hey not like your gonna win anyway right

did EB again on our guilds commander account… Mag was out in force again. pushing on both fronts of DR and BP.

DR would randomly take danes and umber, and hit our bravo tower for some odd reason. But i’m hoping the actions of BP tonight in EB show how the fight should be had when we are the outmanned servers.

BP is learning that it’s not about the score, it’s about the fun =), and what great fun we had today. I lead in EB for most of the day, cycling command with others such as ranger Mich. Where we were able to finally take our keep back, having just being pushed out each time we got the outter and even inner walls down. Just to many! However, once we finally were able to get a foothold and control of our corner, we took the fight to mag for the rest of the day.

The final fight before i logged was BP just farming Mag players inside kloven. i think i earned about 90 badges on that last farm session.

Great job tonight Borlis. EB was a riot.

Also, talked to a WaR member about why they departed from Borlis.. and it is more understandable. timing on destination is a bit meh, but understandable.

Just finished dueling testpig.5018 in 1v1 and it was fun. Thank you for coming out to duel and hopefully we can set up some 2v2’s, 3v3’s, 5v5’s etc…

good fights. theifs are a sneaky class to catch when you can’t seem them! overall some good fights. even fought lubu for like 10 mins… 1 fight.. like 10 mins long. my fingers hurt.

You can find us anytime in WvW, because that’s where we are, running with our 5-10 man group, roaming in mags corner, killing your zerg. If you want to 5v5, you can find us in spvp =)

Ok lets set up a battle later today behind the wind mill in any bl. We want 5v5’s, 3v3’s, and 1v1’s.

if you want 5v5. do spvp. if you want WvW… you roam.

We’ve been attacking Devona too and only started attacking you guys after some trolls like the [WAR] guild started to bash us on the forums. If you play with fire your gonna get burnt so please save the trash talk and meet us on the battlefield. I’m will be waiting for a time and place to fight you [WAR]. yea i don’t even know who built those things.. it’s not like we are using them or needed them.

we got to the inner of our keep using catas/trebs from lang, while farming your players.

but atlas, 10 players or so, can only do so much against all of mag in the zone, being that DR is no where to be found, and we are providing the only resistance.

as for that video, again lol, your guild transfered to a winning server to leach a victory. You also still have member of your guild just hanging around in our waypoint, observing chat/commander movements.

so not only is your guild fair-weather players. but you are also cross realmers. /shame
