Thieves are actually quite weak. I find they are most powerful when with another player. (When you go 2v1 and take out the opposition 1 by 1.) In terms of support the thief has no rival. If I was not a thief I would want a thief as a partner.

It would be cool, but let’s face it, unfair. Unless they give everyone a 3rd weapon swap. I would much rather see a thief with better boons and condition removal.

Notice: I only have 3 trait points so we’ll have to work around that. Also I want my build to be based on survivability and evading attacks.

I personally prefer D/D for the Death Blossom skill, however I believe the Flanking Strike almost makes S/D worth it. If you really want DPS go P/P or Shortbow. Unload has major damage against one enemy (a boss) and Shortbow causes explosions. EXPLOSIONS…Need I say more?

To Sir Vincent III:
Thieves don’t need that health because we have more evades than other classes so we end up taking less damage in the first place. Still, I like to focus on vitality and toughness with my thief.

It is speculated that a creature of light defeats the elder dragons(A hint to how the story ends topic) maybe that’s these spirits of the wild. Dunno. As for owl, maybe when a spirit is “killed” it really just gets pushed deeper into the mists.

You’re right. It’s the Rift. It makes sense as the wiki states it as the center of the mists and as connected to all things, which supports my leyline theory. (if you read that) Sorry I didn’t play GW1. I started with 2 and am only LV 50

So, this is a follow through to my earlier theory (Magic and the Mists Theories.) Please read that before reading this.
A series of logics designed to prove my point:
-Leylines produce magic.
—That magic has to come from some where.
-The Mists is a place in a multiverse that is plentiful in magic.
—It could give power to somewhere else.
—-Therefor, leylines can get their magic from the Mists.
——Magic comes from the Mists, proving my earlier theory. (The Mists is a infinite multiverse, and when you perform magic, you pull that object from an alternate universe into your own.)
Additions To That Theory: Leylines connect every universe and travel through the Mists. Leylines are where the connection between universes is strongest and therefor magic is easier to perform.

Belzebu that is hardly a specific answer. If you want to see my take on the mists, (it is reading between the lines) go to the lore forum and look up the The Mists and Magic Theories. Please post your comments on if you agree or disagree with my theory there.

I vote Demolitionist. Or maybe Inventor or Tinkerer. Dunno, but now that I think bout it, probably Inventor or Tinkerer. It is thought that it there were toy helicopters floating around him in HoT trailer. Maybe a minion like mechanic, kind of like how Necromancer has Guardian’s Shouts.

I’m thinking rifle is near definite. One thing I’ve noticed so far is that each elite specialization currently released has some mechanic previously only usable by one or two professions. Ex) Reaper: Shouts, only for guardian. Dragonhunter: Traps, for ranger and thief. Chronomancer: Wells, only for necromancer. Therefor it needs a mechanic for a utility skill. Following the assumption a weapon/mechanic can only be used for one elite specialization, that narrows down the possibilities quite a bit. If you combine that with possible weapons, you come to my conclusion, a Crime Boss or similar that summons minions. Please post flaws or if you think I have it right.

After thinking about how magic works in Tyria, I have developed a theory on how magic works in GW. I think magic is items pulled from the mists. The Mists are probably an infinite collection of dimensions or possibilities. When you perform magic, you pull objects from one possible dimensions into your own dimension. this theory is supported by the fact that the “Heart of the Mists” is a hub, meaning it is the base dimension in which all other possibilities are based off. All possibilities are based on the Heart of the Mists. Feel free to point out flaws in my theory or your theory in the comments.

I really want to know Thief’s specialization. What will it be? Thief has a long range of weapons and none of the weapons it does’t have would make sense. Maybe Crime Boss with a rifle and minions? I don’t know. And what will the Warrior be? A dagger would make sense, but what would the name be?

I’m thinking its druid because of the vines. Centaurs aren’t very nature themed in GW2 so the vines must be something else. Of course it may just be there to say HoT because HoT is nature themed. Still believe druid theory though. Only one way to find out…Wait and See. P.S. does anyone know when HoT is going to be released? Or even a good guess?
