The main reason for that post was to warn you about the forum rules, I had to add to the topic so my post wasn’t removed.

I have two things to say: I think there should be a forfeit button, but it should scale. It starts 3 min into game. If you are 50-100 points below, you need 5 player agreeance. If you are 101-150, 4 players. 151-350, 3 players. More than 350 you need 2 players, but both players must have moved and entered combat for the majority of the time in the match.

Other thing: Price Vengador, beware. You an get posts deleted for “shaming” other players. Try to photo edit to remove the names of the players.

The Prophet Mesmer ES Idea

While I like the overall theme, by chaining blurred frenzy, F4, and your 2 (non-elite) meditation which grant distorsion, you would reach 50% distorsion/evade uptime. I did not include the cooldown reduction from Illusions, sword traits and meditation traits, and on top of that you can also dodge.

I think you have slightly overturned the distorsion here :p

I agree, it is a bit overtuned. It could be balanced though, with an increase in cool downs.

The Prophet Mesmer ES Idea
What it adds
What it adds: The Prophet is another buffer spec. (It is just an idea, doesn’t have to be added instead of a DPS spec). It brings unblockables and group distortion to the table. It also inflicts weakness. It also has access to a new combo field, the Mystic field.

Projectile finisher: applies weakness
Whirl finisher: weakening bolts
Leap finisher: 1 sec distortion.
Blast finisher: Aoe 1 sec distortion

The new weapon is a MH focus. The new utilities are Meditations, which take on more of a passive role than the Guardian’s meditations. It replaces shatters with new shatters.

Lore (Contains SPOILERS)
After interacting with Aurene, the PC was able to see visions of Glint. Glint taught the Prophet how to look into the future, and use that ability to its fullest extent.

New Shatters
F1) Final Death: same, but deals more damage against foes below 50% of their health.
F2) Self-fulfilling Death: sames, but also applies weakness
F3) Fear of Future: instead of daze, stun
F4) Evade the Future: Same, but applies one additional sec of distortion

Focus Skills (900 range unless otherwise stated)
Skill 1) Bolt of Fate: Fire a magical bolt that homes in on foes of they are below 50% health.
Skill 2) Fateweave: Spin, piercing all goes in 600 range with magical threads, which weaken them for 3 secs. 6 sec cd. Whirl finisher.
Skill 3) Denial of Truth: Form a magical shield in front of you that destroys projectiles. It moves as you move and turns as you turn. 10 sec cd.
Flips to: Shatter Truth: End your magical shield, causing an explosion. Blast finisher.

Heal Meditation
Live to Fight Again: Heal for a small amount. If you would become downed in the next 3 secs, heal for another small amount and gain distortion for two secs. If this doesn’t occur, heal for a large amount instead. 25 sec cd.

Utility Meditations
Precognitive Accuracy: Your next 3 attacks are unblockable. If they are evaded they go on half cd. 30 sec cd.

Precognitive Evasion: You and up to 1 ally gain distortion for 2 secs. 20 sec cd.

No Escape to Fate: Target area becomes a mystic field for 4 secs. It finishes downed enemies in it. 100 sec cd. 1.5 sec cast.

Blurred Fates: Create a mystic field around you. Pulses 1 sec distortion to allies and 1 sec weakness to foes every two secs. 10 sec duration. 60 sec cd.

Elite Meditation
All Seeing Eye: Self float for 5 secs Creates a large range mystic field around you. Pulses 1 unblockable attack to allies every sec. Pulses distortion for one sec every second to allies. 180 sec cd.

Traits
Minor Adept
Fortunetelling: Gain access to new shatters and meditations. You can use a main hand focus.

Major Adepts
Fated Weakness: Weakness you apply had a longer duration. Weakening bolts are unblockable.
Distorted Pain: Distortion you apply also reduces condition damage by 20%.
Infinite Foresight: Meditations recharge faster. Precognitive Accuracy gives 1 unblockable attack to two nearby allies. Precognitive Evasion applies to 1 nearby ally.

Minor Master
Fate Maker: Heal for a small amount when you apply weakness.

Major Masters
Rejection of Truth: Mainhand Focus skills recharge faster. Denial of Truth now reflects projectiles instead of destroying them. Blast finishers in Mystic fields make you and your allies’ next attack unblockable.
Compelling Predictions: Precognitive Evasion becomes a stunbreaker. Activate Precognitive Evasion when you are hard cced.
Distorted Lies: When you are distorted, 50%chance to apply weakness for 4 secs with each attack.

Minor Grandmaster
Fail to Act: When you apply weakness the enemy is damaged for a small amount.

Major Grandmasters
Fate’s Assassin: Deal 20% more damage to weakened foes.
Fate’s Protection: Distortion you apply also reduces condition damage by 60%. This stacks with Distorted Pain.
Fate’s Slayer: If an attack is unblockable, but the enemy does not block it, it deals 50% more damage. 20 sec icd.

Rune

1. Gain vitality
2. Deal more damage when you have distortion
3. Gain vitality
4. When you apply distortion to an ally, heal for a medium-small amount
5. Gain vitality
6. Using a heal skill gives you distortion for 1 sec

Weapon
Loom of Life: Looks like a miniature loom, focus.

Headgear
Third Eye: Glowing eye symbol on character’s forehead.

It is a bit time consuming to get decent rates (I’m looking at you, T6…) but if you already have gold there are some good options.

Also, everything use of spirit shard is for somenthing expensive and the value of the spirit shard on it is very minor.

Then enlighten me, oh great maker of gold with spirit shards. Because to me they are just a nigh useless currency that I’m sitting atop of thousands.

I understand you were being salty at him, which makes me not want to help you, but I’ll tell you anyway: you can use gw2effiecency.com to find the current best ways to make gold with spirit shards. Go to currencies, than spirit shards, and you can edit the search from there.

Meta will work, but in pugs it is not as effective. The new meta with healing reduction is slotting stuff like phantasmal defender, regeneration, and protection skills, because you don’t need to heal if you don’the take much damage. However, the meta assumes you heal like normal, so you don’t get the extra passive damage reduction.

I did Snowblind Challenge mode yesterday in a pug. It was most likely my favorite experience in gw2 ever. We had to actually change and refine build everyone until we suceeded. It wasn’t a mindless meta spam fest. Just wanna say gj, A-Net.

For starters, plz dont think I’m trying to show off I have a legendary, because I don’t. I just had a cool idea for some collections: legendary collections. They unlock when you get a legendary and award a title. An example is:

He who laughs in the face of death: /laugh in front of a statue of abandon
Cruel Joke: /laugh while an enemy dies from conditions

And some other ones.

This achieve wouldn’t be too difficult, but would require a legendary. There could be other ones like for Bolt.

EDIT: I was wrong, srry. I didn’t see it even though I checked after that update. Does any one know where it is?

I have heard and experienced the lack of the challenge motes and mist geyser. I was wondering if a player or preferably a anet staff member of when this will b fixed.

The glyphs would function like the ranger’s glyphs. If you don’t have stealth or hidden, it has one effect. If you are stealthed or hidden, it has a different effect.

I believe you misinterpreted the hidden buff. It would not prevent you from losing stealth. It would just function as a buff that replaces your auto attack with your sneak attack. You are still perfectly visible while you have hidden, and can be targeted.

I would probably pay for a feature like this. Another cool one for mesmer would be rats or kittenroaches falling to the ground and running away.

Maybe changing colors, and other stuff. For example my charr guardian looks dark and evil, but shines light blue. What if you can change the color and have some edition able obtions, like thief can have smoke effects instead of black shadows, mesmer can have bats instead of butterflies (image this with nightfury!), u can change the Revs glowing hand colors, etc.

There might be something players have done that causes the mysterious ghostly Anomalys. I think it may be based on something to do with events in Bloodstone Fen. Please anwser the following questions, even if the answer is no to all of them.

I was aiming to get Finite Result, finished the collection, and realized I needed 500 in an armor. I had just spent most of my money on gearing a Rev to be a commander. My weaponsmith is 432.

Tldr: I would love it if someone got me either 300 for a commander tag or just weaponsmithing mats in general to get to 500. I really want to accomplish one of these tasks. Ty in advance!

I’m not trying to fix thief, just trying to make a interesting idea for a future es. I agree on the fixes needed though

I like the idea, but maybe not a whole new mechanic. What if every player always has a “egg” hidden once per day in certain maps. You interact with it to get it. The location of each egg is per player. Once you have the egg, it becomes one of many eggs based on the map it was found in. You can go to your home instance to place it. Once a day you can “feed” it certain items. Once it has been fed a certain amount of times, it hatches into a unique mini that’s is account bound.

Shade
Thief ES focusing on life stealing and hindering foes with blind, cripple, immobilize, and other negative conditions, amplifying the thief’s natural abilities to do that. Involves a lot of aoe dark and smoke fields. The new weapon is a scepter, and the new utility types are corruptions.

New Profession Mechanic
Corruption Bar: A bar with 3 sections. You fill up ? of a section every time you apply blind to someone. 2 sec icd to gaining more in your corruption bar. You can activate one of 3 Shade Skills, based on how much of the bar is filled up. Generic 20 sec cd.

1 Section Filled: Shade’s Mark: Create a smoke field around your target’s location. Blind them for 3 secs. The smoke field pulses cripple for 1 sec every sec. 5 sec duration.

2 Sections FIlled: Shade’s Aura: Teleport to target are and evade all attacks for 3 secs. Become an aoe dark field that pulses blind for 1 sec every sec.

3 Sections Filled: Shade Form: Creates an aoe around you that follows you, is a dark field, and deals high damage every sec. 6 sec duration. Become invincible for the first 3 secs. If used, the cd on Shade Skills becomes doubled.

Scepter Skills (900 range unless otherwise specified)
Skill 1: Shadowblast: Straightforward dark energy blast.
—> Eleventh Hour: Another energy blast. Deals more damage if enemy is blinded
——> Midnight Toll: Energy blast that siphons some help.

Skill 2: Shade’s Grasp: Target area becomes a small cyclone of darkness for 1 sec. At the end of the one sec, enemies in it are immobilized for 3 secs and take large amounts of damage. Dark field. 10 sec cd.

Skill 3: Shadow Torrent: Enter a stance for a maximum of 10 secs. Moving cancels the stance. While in this stance, constantly fire shadowy blasts of energy that deal small damage at your target, but fire quickly. You may switch targets in the middle of using this skill. 20 sec cd.

Heal Corruption
Newfound Life: Heal for a large amount. You become poisoned for 3 secs. Has a small number of evade frames, less than a dodge. Takes 1 sec to channel. Evade frames are in the channel, right before the heal. 30 sec cd.

Utility Corruptions (900 range)
Shade’s Evil: Bleed for 5 secs. Gain 10 might for 5 secs, and fury for 5 secs. 10 sec cd.

Shade’s Cowardice: Become revealed for 1 sec. Create a smoke field for 5 secs at your location, and teleport backwards 600. 15 sec cd.

Lifesblood: Become weakened for 5 secs. Weaken your foe for 5 seconds and steal about 2K health from them. 15 sec cd.

Dark Fog: If your health is above 50%, a dark field appears at your location and you apply blind for 3 secs with your next 3 attacks. If your health is below 50%, a smoke field appears at your location and gain stealth for 3 secs. If you use the smoke field version, the cd is doubled. 10 sec cd.

Elite Corruption
Shadowed Ascent: Float yourself for 3 secs, and become invulnerable for 3 secs. Add one section to your Corruption Bar. At the end of the three secs, blast massive damage (REALLY MASSIVE) to all foes in 900 range. 70 sec cd.
—> Pure Evil: Stunbreak out of your float, lose invulnerability, and deal damage equivalent to how long you were floating to all foes in 900 range.

The Warper
A ES for mes with pistol main hand. It’s based around position control and aoe. The new utilities are traps, which provide aoe knock backs. Also adds a new kinds of combo fields (Allowing for a unique ability to provide them for a team): displacement and mirror. Also a new aura: Mirror Aura: it reflects projectiles.

Comments on balancing it are welcome!

Displacement: Appears as a black fog hovering over the area.

Whirl
Aoe knock back (300) to foes.
Knocksdown the foe you strike with the leap for ½ sec.
Knocks back the foe 100 range.
Pulls foes in aoe.

Mirror: Appears as a reflective metal color with an image based on the skill. For example, for the skill infinite moons, you see a bunch of moons in the mirror.

Gain mirror aura for 5 secs.
If you are a mes, it will summon a clone. If not, gives you might for 5 secs.
Reflects projectiles while in whirl. Reflected projectiles deal double damage.

Special Mechanic: Spacial Shattering: Shatter that destroys one illusion per use and is a 450 range teleport. No cd, due to it only being able to be used in combat.

Pistol Attacks (900 range)
Spinning Bullet: Pistol shot that glows pink and has a visible spinning effect. Deals decent damage. Short precast and aftercast. (20%projectile finisher)
Refracting Shot: Pink pistol shot that bounces to foes behind the target. (20 % projectile finisher)
Fragmented Blast: Fire a pink pistol shot that fragments into 3 weaker shots once it hits your target. (20% blast finisher)

Space Warp: Teleport backwards, and create an displacement field between you and your previous location. 20 sec cd.
Reverse Course: Fire a bullet that teleports you to the person you hit. Deals low damage. (projectile finisher)
Warp Back: Fire a final bullet at your target that knocks them back.

Infinite Reflection: Enter a stance for 3 secs. Fire a magic bullet at every projectile within 600 range that destroys that projectile and summons a clone that uses Spinning Bullet. At end of 3 secs, creates a mirror field for 4 secs at your location. 25 sec cd.

Heal Trap
Infinite Moons: Heal a small amount and place down a trap. When the trap is triggered, stun the foes in its area for 1 sec. It pulses 2K healing every sec for 4 secs to allies in its area. Mirror field. 30 sec cd.

Utility Traps
Displaced Space: Place down a trap. It doesn’t ‘trigger’, but serves as a reference place for the skill it flips into. 75 sec cd.
Vacuumed Space: Place down a trap that teleports the foe that triggered it and any other foe that walks into it for 3 secs to the displaced space. Displaced apce has to be within 2100 range. Displacement field.

Nothingness: Place a trap. When it triggers, any foes in it are blinded for 4 secs. It also stuns anyone in it for 2 secs. Dark field. 40 sec cd.

One Million Mirrors: Place a trap. When triggered, it creates a circle of fields that knocks any foes trying to exit it back inside, and knocks any foes on the outside who touch it to inside it. 5 sec duration. Mirror field. 45 sec cd.

Infinite Suns: Place a trap. When triggered, it pulses 3K damage to foes every sec and dazes them upon activation for ½ sec. Mirror field. 5 sec duration.20 sec cd.

Elite Trap
Spacial Overload: Place a trap. When triggered, it floats foes for 1 sec, then knocks them down for 1 sec, then pulls foes to the center for 1 sec, then stuns them for 1 sec. At the end of it, it explodes, dealing massive damage. Displacement field. Blast finisher at the end. 4 sec duration. 90 sec cd.

A sword called Mist Thorn, with the look of a gray pointy thing with mini spikes all around it. It would cause you to be surrounded by a gray mist that is rather thick, obscuring parts of you. Throwing animations would make you throw a sword made out of mist, not the actual thorn. Footsteps would be shimmering and look like a mirage, with trace amounts of mist coming out of them.

Another legendary would be a hammer that is a massive dragon head on a stick. Footsteps are dinosaur tracks and it roars every once in a while.

That statement is 33.6% true.

You get pretty of loot, but is it good loot? Ask the magic conch….

Eternity’s Guard also makes sense. They are guarding against eternity being ruined by the elder dragons. They also are the “reincarnation” of Destiny’s Edge, making Destiny’s Edge ‘eternal’. I also feel it is fitting enough. I would have prefer somethink more like “End of Destiny”. Still, Eternity’s Guard is the best option.

I don’t know what got into them, but I’ll answer for you with my limited knowledge. I do main a thief, and a mes.
1) Daredevil is basically mandatory, but thief does work for PvP, i would consider it meta. However: You HAVE to roll D/P to be meta in PvP. DD also works in raids. I personally use a condition D/D build for raids. PvE is faceroll so you can roll anything.

2)PvP is toxic as ever.

3)WvW is dead, but updates ARE coming. They will update scoring, so once everything is back to normal, hopefully it will be improved.

I had two silver feds and the same thing happened to me. Support gave me a refund for one of them

Thank you! I find its hilarious that I rarely play rev, but my ES’s for the professions I main are often worse then this one.

I was looking at the damage on GW2 Editor. 3rd Auto Attack: Lotus Strike: (no attributes) 391 damage
Backstab: (from the back, no attributes) 852.
When an auto attack deals slightly less then half the damage of a “powerful massive damage” tricky to pull off attack, something must be wrong. Is GW2 editor glitched?

PS: I don’t use backstab AT ALL. I was planning to, which was why I found it.
