[Choo] Is now recruiting players interested in WvW. We’re on Sanctum of Rall (a tier 2 NA server) and we’re looking to grow our round the clock coverage. We are looking primarily for Oceanic, European and Asian players to help give Sanctum of Rall the coverage it needs. We’ll take players from US/Canada as well, but our goal is to increase our off peak hours.

Now, a bit about [Choo]

We’re a pretty tight nit group of players, with some of the most well known commanders on the server representing us. Our members come from many backgrounds and guilds. We come from many places, with representation from Australia, New Zealand, UK, Taiwan, Canada, US, Argentina and many other places.
We’re primarily English speaking, use TS and aim to be one of the most well known groups out there. We host many guild events, and work in tandem with many of the other large or well known guilds in SoR like TW, GSCH, CDS and many others.

Team Speak is required for WvW. You must be 16 or older. You must be willing to participate with the guild. Representation of the guild in WvW is required.

We’re looking for players from all time zones new and old to the game. We do focus on WvW but our members partake in all activities and actively use TS.

It should be an interesting week for sure. Even with the holidays upon us, I don’t doubt it would be a dull week to play.

We take part in WvW, with several commanders and work with all the known guilds to benefit the server.

Of course, we do participate in other aspects of the game, but WvW is by far the most popular option for us. We are also pretty large, and very active.

Just a heads up, both our servers don’t give up, and currently BG has by far the best all around coverage in WvW. They’ve taken 2 of our Asian guilds from SoR so we’re further in the hole in that regard.

You will be up against a tough fight, likely from both of us. But BG will aim to take everything overnight.

This lengthy match-up has probably been the most competitive I have seen so far. Sure, we won every week, but the quality of opponents was second to none and we had some epic battles. I never had a dull moment. Aside from a few loudmouthed braggarts and crybabies I have nothing but respect for our opposition. The Glicko system is working as intended, matching up relatively equal opponents. It does have a fatal flaw as some pointed out, the match gets stale after a while. We want some fresh meat for the grinder. I don’t think Anet is going to abandon the current system so we are stuck with it. If they at least let us be a different color each week so we get a different view of the world.

Well, IoJ looks like they will likely be entering T3 next week, with Tarnished Coast taking their place in T2.

This should refresh things a bit. Sure, the colours will remain the same, but a new opponent should mix it up a bit for us.

Well… there’s good news for TC.

Looks like you guys will be taking us at SoR aswell as BG on next week, and IOJ will be dropping down to tier 3. Should change things up slightly for all parties involved.

Why is everyone so depressed? Its just a game guys, Tier 2 is always fun and you know there is always a great battle when you walk out into the wvw battlefield. Win or lose I will continue to have fun That’s what its all about.

No one is depressed, they’re tired. We IoJ/SoR fought SoS for a few weeks, which had better round the clock coverage than BG even has, and now 6 weeks of BG which still has better coverage than us both(aside from a few weak hours). Plus I think we can all agree these month and a half long matches get a little stale, at this point a change of names might revive us all. Hopefully BG moves back into T1 in the next week or so, look like IoJ may be moving down this week, us here at SoR will remain….blue!

I think most of us were hoping T1 would be the “round the clock” tier, with people to have evenish coverage on all time zones, and T2 would sort of evolve into the heavy populated NA timezone tier, that would make for some close/fun matches in both tiers. Right now we have 4 servers with a decent “night crew” which leads us to one server I guess “out covering” the other 2 in T2. As George Thorogood would say: BUT I’M TIRED I’VE BEEN WALKIN’ ALL DAY!

Well, atleast we fall together. It’s been a good 2 months IoJ, certainly been a pleasure.

Ouch. I’m wondering if SoR and IoJ should just merge. If IoJ Oceanics won’t move to SoR (understandably since they want other Oceanics around for PvE etc.), then maybe SoR NA should move there.

I hate saying that. I’ve been SoR since day one, and may even stay behind if this did happen, but it seems to make a lot of sense coverage-wise.

Well… if enough Oceanics/Asian players come to SoR, it wouldn’t be an issue.

There will be people around to play if they all come at once.

I would love this as much as anyone, but basically IoJ was chosen at the very beginning as an Oceanic server. You’d have to migrate all the PvE’ers and everyone else now over to SoR to make it work. I’m just not sure how feasible that is.

It probably isn’t feasible, but we do have people who play at that time, just not enough in WvW to make a huge difference.

Even if it were just WvW players who made the move, they shouldn’t have too many issues.

You could look into SoR, while we don’t have the largest Aussie/NZ population, but it is growing, and you should notice it. Also, many of our NA players don’t seem to sleep, and we do have LUN guild which seems to play at odd hours aswell.

I’m from [Choo] on Sanctum of Rall. Also known as “Pain train”.

We’re a very active guild, primarily focused on WvW. That’s not to say our members do not partake in other activities (dungeons seem to be a favourite for many). We have regular events for WvW, and often see 40 or so of us flooding a single battleground during peak times of WvW.

We usually have around 80 or so online most nights and are active in Teamspeak. Our members cover pretty much most time zones, with members everywhere across the US and Canada, and Australia and New Zealand aswell, so you should always be able to find people to play with.

I won’t be on until roughly 6 or 7 pm EST. But feel free to message me if interested. You can also pretty much find Choo members in WvW, mostly in the EB.

Look for Purp Nurp, you’ve probably seen him before if you’ve spent anytime in WvW.
