Tomes of knowledge shouldn’t drop from chests.

Why not?

Chests are intended to drop junk as filler; Tomes of Knowledge deliver.

None of the persons who spend gems (aka real money) wants to see a junk item in their chests.

Unidentified Dye is also a bit out of its place here because in most cases it either gives a “commum” or “uncommun” dye that costs 1g at best while the equivalant of one black lion key is about 35g.

After completing the regular achivement in PvP, I noticed that I can open Fallen Hero Chests when I am inside Heart of the Mists or inside any conquest/stronghold map but It is not possible to open the Small Bag of Spirit Shards there.

This isn’t really a big issue but it would be nice to fix this small inconvenience.

I managed to get the suets and the grawl firestones by doing this:

- Went to Story Jornal: Living World Season 3 > A crack in the Ice > Restart this episode
- Replayed the story chapters from the begaining of “Precious Aurene” (in Auric Bassin) to the end of “Elixir Cookin”

I got the suet drops from Icebrood wolves and Corrupted spiders.
The NPC starts to sell the Firestones after completeing the heart, making the offering to the grawl “godess” and talking to “Veteran Hooga Dizdiz” next to it.

It’s a bit offtopic but when they allowed gliding in heart of the mists, I thought it became allowed in arena matches.

Why would they allow gliding in an area where you are supposed to train and test your skills before going into PvP?

I like the arena theme but I got 3 ideas that might make it more enjoyable:

1- Make secondary exit useful or make it the main exit instead (this is where gladiators are supposed to enter the arena right?)

2-there is too much empty space that players do not use near the second exit

3- I’d like to know what’s the purpuse of the big walls near the secondary enterance, they seem to annoying for players when the game starts.

Hello, I tried many times doing “above and beyond” achievement in a aetherpath by completing all additional lionguard objectives in one run but I still don’t have it

So… i get into a game that was 4 vs 5 for at least 60 s and get an other 20 s that means the opponend got up to 80 s
Advantage, and in case the missing player had a bad ping before the disconnect, it’s even worse….

This idea improves with each comment!

I said in an earlier post that 20-30s before kicking afk players might be enough, it’s true that this will hurt the team score but making it 0s will be not forgiving for players who got random dc or want to switch characters, these players are needed more than new ones because they already know the enemy team and they already got the chance to prepare a good spec for them.

I don’t think it’s necessary to allow players to change builds during the match, when someone queues for 4v5 games he’s usually having a spec that might work in almost every situation and GW2 does not have too much variety when it comes t o viable builds.

No matter how long it takes to replace afkers, giving the other 4 an extra hand will always raise their chance of winning (even by 1%) it will also reduce the amount of blaming/swearing during the match.

So let me get this right, instead of a game i could help win the first (importand) fight i go into a game, whith any possible outcome (most likely not a ood one) and can’t even switch my skills/weapons/class according to the enemy team, because i am just trown into that match without preparation time?

…sounds like a great idea….

perhaps give mid-game players ~20 sec to change spec?

+100 Personal Score is like saying: “Please have a virtual cookie.” You get reminded of something u are not receiving which is an actual cookie. Please think of something more useful.

60s is more than enough for the opposing team to win the match. Honestly if they don’t, they suck and you should be able to win the match with 4. The only solution is to replace the disconnecting player ASAP with no waiting period at all or less/equal to than 10s.

It is true that +100 is a bit too much, but to encourage players to join a game with a high chance of losing, you need to reward them with a free cookie, +50 points? a small gold or exp bonus maybe?

10s is a bit too short, some players with slow pcs will find difficulties to change class during the match (long loading screen), there are also the pepole who get a random internet disconnection and want to relog quickly, imo 20s to 30s is good

For 4v5 situations, I think that players with more than 60sec of disconnection should be removed from the match and replaced with another player from the queue, anet could make mid-game joining optional in pvp panel and give volenteers +100 personal score as a reward.

I appreciate the fact that Anet buffed axe damage in many updates to make it in line with other weapons in a matter of damage but players are still complaining because it is still a bad choice.

PvE wise axe is a descent weapon for power builds, people still complain but this weapon is not supposed to deal as much damage as a dagger when you stay at melee range and take too much risk by pummeling the boss with a squishy class.

In PvP I see axe as the most unreliable weapon simply because of the ineffectiveness of its auto-attack against players and because axe #3 requires you to stand in the middle of a zerg to get the best results.

As a fix I suggest that axe #1 should remove a boon each time it is used, that would make “Spiteful Talisman” talent a better choice for pvp especially when you combo it with focus and “Spinal shivers”, it will also give power necros a free slot for a defensive utility instead of being forced to use skills such as corrupt boons or nothing can save you.

As for axe #3 I suggest that this skill gets a 900 range with ground targeting so necros could use it to kite melee classes and to debuff zergs without taking heavy risks, I also hope Anet considers the possibility of making it unblockable like every necro skill that converts boons into conditions.

It’s just a suggestion but shouldn’t the daily achievement give 1g instead of 2 and the dungeon frequenter achievement with 5 dungeons instead of 8 to make people get less easy gold from dailies and make dungeons more rewarding

now we’re being outnumbred in almost every fight, and sometimes our pugs are being driven to deso castle.

This is what you have been doing for the past 6 months to ALL other servers, abusing nightcapping and karmatraining wooden maps all day after that with much bigger numbers then any enemy had. It is just pathetic to hear such complains from a deso player. Especially knowing that most of deso logged off when they saw an actual challenge, you have the population, but deso players just don’t want to make efforts to achieve something. it has always been like this on deso: if there is strong resistence in the MU half of deso population goes to PvE.

And if you don’t know the most successful PuG server was SFR when win mattered, when there were many players on every server and was actual competition, during seasons etc etc. When wins in Wvw mattered smth Deso couldn’t do anything, and now after 6 month of outnumbering others when the game is almost dead you consider yuorself the most successful server? It makes you even more pathetic, you deserve what you have now.

How is SFR the most successful when they doubleteamed with Baruch Bay to make sure deso ends in 3d place in spring 2014?

If deso got “spanked” so why do they keep a kill/death ratio that is so close to Piken’s?

This score imbalance started since the first day of the update because in a single match we were fighting alone server a+b and server x+y+z

i can tell you why, because they avoid fights now

Your argument doesnt hold water, of course deso players will avoid battles when they are outnumbered, should a group of 15 players go into a fight with 50 zerglings?

I didn’t want to mention it but our server is reputed to have best PuG commanders and SPvP players so if the numbers of players for each world was the same, you know..

Deso, the most successeful PuG server falls behind all tier1 servers since the 8/26/2016 linking that brought 5 servers agianst us alone, now we’re being outnumbred in almost every fight, and sometimes our pugs are being driven to deso castle.

I hope ANet will reconsider relinking deso in tomorrow’s update with a small server to balance the matchups.

Thanks for your quick answers, I think the reward system could improved by replacing the piles of blue and green items with silk/mithrill/leather, magic find experiece and some gold, it will be much easier to understand the loot and manage the inventory.

By mastery I meant experience, I already have 35 tyria mastery points but I can not find a proper way to grind experience, I tried doing dungeons and fractals but it seemed too slow compared to maguuma, even with a booster.

Hi, I bought HoT recently, the new content is fun but the reward system is bit confusing and makes me wonder:

1) What’s the point of getting 100 piece of fine/masterwork equipement for each 2 hours of gameplay? what I should I do with it? salvage or sell?

2) What is magic find? Is leveling 300% really worth it? i’m now at 155% and the only thing I get from luck is more “blue and green items”

3) Is there a way to grind tyria’s mastery as easily maguuma’s mastery?

It has been a week since I started farming Tequatl and I could never see the vortexes that sucks players into them, some players said that the vortex does not appear because the dps goes way too fast.

This bug has been reported many times but we still do not have a clear answer from the devs.
I don’t think they made lich form forget its autoattack settings after 3min intentially it seems like they just forgot to add it to the list of auto-attack like every weapon

I was running with Lich Form in spvp and fractals for a while and noticed the following problem: I could not persistently enable autoattack for skill #1. Each time I did it it would stay enabled for the duration of the transformation, but 3 minutes later when Lich Form recharged and I used it again, skill 1 would still be set to autoattack: disabled.

The auto attack in Lich form needs to be enabled everytime you enter the form.
This is very annoying as I tend to lose dps because of this
