There used to be a thread for these stuff but it seems to be removed. How long should i wait before i start thinking my ticket fell off the cracks somehow?

I’m fairly sure you are getting a lot of tickets these days with sales and all too but 7 days seem like a fair amount of time.

Anyway, if i could get someone to look into my issue or let me know how long till you can reply i’d be very happy.

No they are not. Free to swap stuff on them was added AFTERWARDS. They were not made by this in mind and they were never “meant” to serve such a purpose.

Legendaries were always about skins and the effects and still are.

I have managed to make it work with a hex edit.
I looked through the exe with HxD and found an instance that looked like G.u.i.l.d. .W.a.r.s. .2. For some reason this didn’t get caught by searching the normal way, so I changed to search by hex instead:
47 00 75 00 69 00 6C 00 64 00 20 00 57 00 61 00 72 00 73 00 20 00 32
and replaced with:
47 00 75 00 69 00 6C 00 64 00 20 00 57 00 61 00 72 00 73 00 20 00 33

The 32 is the number 2 and 33 the number 3.

Confirmed this works.

So basically, I just had to change my HEX Edit macro to (be sure to use CTRL+Home each time to reset cursor at start of file):

- change the first instance of “Guild Wars 2” to “Guild Wars 3”
- change the first instance of “47 00 75 00 69 00 6C 00 64 00 20 00 57 00 61 00 72 00 73 00 20 00 32” to “47 00 75 00 69 00 6C 00 64 00 20 00 57 00 61 00 72 00 73 00 20 00 33”

After messing around with Launchbuddy, shortcut command lines, etc., I remember why HEX Edit macro rules over other methods (secure, no need to worry about patches, etc.). Anyway, thanks so much and if it does eventually break again, I have other methods to fall back on next time.

How is it more secure? You don’t have to do anything special with launchbuddy if you are a security freak (as a term, not an insult). All it does is literally open your exe and kill the stuff that won’t let you open more instances. You don’t have to save your pw on it or anything although you can even take a loot at the source code and see it is secure.

And about patches, i was wrong. When you open it, it checks game version via API and your version and tells you to click yes to patch which opens it manually to patch anyway.

But whatever works for you works. Just don’t get why you’d say one way is more secure. I’d say modifying game files is more of a risk as you may simply get perma banned some day.

If you don’t want to deal with this, may i suggest using https://github.com/TheCheatsrichter/Gw2_Launchbuddy .

This is what i use to launch all my clients and it automatically kills the mutex every time. Simply launch it, select gw2.exe as your install path and click launch gw2 button. Once it launches the game, click it again and it’ll launch another instance. Repeat as many times as you like.

It has a lot of features (you can save settings, auto-log in etc.) but all of those options are up to you to use.

Remember you cannot patch with launchbuddy so every patch you’ll have to manually patch your game via launching it normally.

Hi, we are looking for 10-15 extra players to play together. Heavily focused on PvE we mainly do fractals / raids and gold farming . Dungeons are a bit abandoned but that is because we lack people interested in them at the moment.

What should you expect?

A guild with bunch of weirdos that know what they are doing – clearing raids weekly and fractals daily. Gold farming is something we are really good at as well.

What do we expect from you?

Experience in ALL raid bosses is a must. You have to be interested in PvE content in general, especially the “hard” content. Being social and active in general is a must, this means at least 10/12 raid attendance per month. Oh and please do not be easily offended.

Rules

Guild rules are simple, no drama beyond the friendly discussions and guild leader has the last word over everything. Must be able to use TS and DPS meter (only for raids) That is it really.

Raid schedule: (Aiming for 13/13 per raid.)

Monday-Wednesday-Friday: 6:45 pm – 10:00pm (Server time)

Hey Gaile, out of game thing here. Big patches like this make something really visible, we need to find out how big the patch is and how much is left. With a percentage based on bits not # of files. It’s been so long i think the launcher needs a tiny bit of fixing if you have the manpower.

Also the in-game streaming doesn’t really download anything. I cannot proc it since portal is disabled so i cannot play the game while downloading at all.

Those aside, i think the new legendary system is GREAT. Great because you admit you cannot keep up with something and simply fall back but still remove the precursor b/s. Really nice.

Fractal instabilities that are removed were spot on.

I’ve not been on the new map so this is it from me.

We did it just fine, so it is not a 100% thing.

Are you killing the mobs that spawn? He seemed to come down every time we killed the elite, idk if it’s our dmg was just same timing or if relevant.

Tried on all of them, none works including elite.

How to reproduce: Plant a banner, pick it up, try to use 5th skill, it won’t do anything.

It is actually quite big considering dungeon runs use banner 5 to pre-stack stuff often.

Not to be too demanding but how much would it be for you to duplicate the bugged skins? I’m asking because i dont know the tools you have. If it is easy to duplicate then:

Duplicate the skin, fix it, make the bugged (non-duplicated) unlock as well when you acquire the new (duplicated) skin.

I think it’d be fair all around as people that bought them because they are NOT flail would still be happy, people that want it as a flail would still be happy AND new people that get both options cannot complain one way or the other.

But this suggestion only really is worth it if it is super-easy for you to make this if not just fix it.

Balancing for PvP and WvW is definitely more important than in PvE. It is for the general health of the game. That’s a fact.

No it is not a fact. If they removed PvP from the game, the game would go strong still. If they removed PvE from the game game would shut down quite fast.

PvE supports the game and i dont expect PvE to get a priority however at least it shouldn’t be the less important aspect. Especially with raids in the game now.

Thanks for all the support too, i know it is hard to believe a stranger’s words. I really do not want to lose my account and my brother’s (which are the only 2 that i use for my own gains – i have never taken something out of any other account i only logged to help 2 friends.. i dont know what the other 5 accounts are).

And Gaile, Chris i am sorry that i logged in to help my friends when they asked me to. I will not do this anymore if necessary.. but i swear to you i have not gained any kind of gold or item from these supposedly other accounts of mine and you can see this for yourself.

I highly doubt they ban for account sharing.. i have never heard a single example of that.

The main problem here is that i have never cheated and funny enough i dont even have a REASON to cheat, i just enjoy the game and can afford whatever.

I have also helped make a community – lead them for months just because they told me not to stop. I ended up being mentioned in the song “Silverwastes Serenade” (anet used other song from them on their hot launch stream even) and all that.

I helped people, i went out of my way to make something good out of this game instead of just playing it. There are many people on europe side that can vouch for this.

All this does not prove that i have not cheated but surely it is at least enough to have a second look at this decision. I really feel bad, couldnt sleep and now hardly eating my dinner. It really hurts to see the company i love banning me from the game i love and ending a part of my life. I am attached to this game not only for gameplay but for people in it too. The risk for cheating is well not worth the reward for me at this point and that is obvious to anyone that wants to take a look at my account

So..instead of reviewing it they just say they’ll not respond to any tickets i open. That is just kittenty man.

I’m not giving up anytime.. they have to review this. And you see how 1 line from Chris showed more than 10 replies in tickets. They kept telling me i altered game files or multiboxed and automated both false, then tell me that they wont reply anymore.

Although you might not “own” 9 accounts, the software has to assume you do. Think about a situation like this – a cheater owns 2 accounts, one legit and one for fun. The one for fun will always be connected through a VPN on a somehow or other ‘faked’ Windows’ GUID to avoid having anything linking the two accounts together. Then one day he forgets to hide his real GUID (or use a VPN).

At that point, in the eyes of anti-cheat, you are considered the same person. How does someone differentiate the above from someone who logs in to a friend’s account? They can’t. VPNs are useful for more than just masking identity (draconian school firewalls that have DPI running on HTTP/S traffic, carrier’s peer’s with GW2’s datacenter overloaded, etc), and GUID gives the illusion of different machines. That’s why the clause about account sharing is in the ToS – so there is no ambiguity.

Otherwise that cheater would be able to do the exact same complaining as above in hopes of getting unbanned without spending extra $$.

So you are saying because i logged in to another account for less than a few hours from my IP which is static and has been the same for my accounts – and they used a cheat i am banned as well?

But… there is chat logs between both these accounts and me that shows we are different people – hell just 2-3 days ago we were doing an adventure together (catching bugs). How on earth does someone control 3 accounts at same time to do such complex things as that adventure.

Chances are if you are multiboxing, whatever application you used to launch GW2 multiple times is getting flagged right now. This is something that the GW2 team needs to look into, and give community feedback on.

You may use more than one account at the same time.
You may use more than one computer at the same time.
You must be actively playing on each account.
And as stated above, you may not program your keyboard to perform functions on more than one account at a time.
a. For example, if you press W on your keyboard to move forward, a single character on a single account should move forward. The keystroke or mouse click should not perform functions on more than one account.

And i do exactly this. I used 2 accounts on same pc and i manually controlled them by alt-tab pressing between the 2 windows in borderless windowed mode.

I am really feeling down atm, because i am at the mercy of some random person that refuses to let my ticket go further. Changes their words and uses my words against me by twisting them.

I sent them the file i use to open 2 clients, told them i use my mousewheel to click open bags as the only thing that could be considered automation EVER. And result was that i was not told ANY detail, and instead of being banned for one thing now i was told i am being banned for automation cause i said i use mousewheel to click open bags.

I dont know what we need to do to gain attention from a GM that is capable of changing false bans.. everybody tells they keep trying till they get to a senior GM otherwise you are out of luck yet i was told that they’ll instantly close ANY tickets i make on this matter. I never got that chance to get a 2nd review..

Thank you Zaron, gives hope to see they got it fixed after trying hard enough. So far my friend got we will close all tickets you open and i got * we are confident* TWICE! without telling anything else.

I dont know how the support works and how they are taught but it is really a horrible feeling to be accused of something like cheating and then being told repeatedly they won’t look into it.. only to get them to look into it.

I always tell people to be polite when making support tickets..as i tell them they are human beings too but.. do they forget we are also human beings, with real emotions?

Gaile, my account has been banned my brother’s account has been banned my friend and her 2nd account also been banned. I am guessing for the same false-positive. My plea to you is that instead of giving this is final responses could you please work with the folks that get false banned faster.

This is my 2nd time being false banned and first time i remember you were the one that talked with me and thank god you are a helpful person and seen the false and unbanned me however the first people that responded did NOT.

I just want to lose as small time as possible due to this, could you please tell me what exactly we can do to prove our innocence as in what details we can provide?

My guess is that these cheat programs also involve logging in to multiple accounts for some reason which you guys have said MANY times is allowed as long as we manually control them.

Lemme tell you another bug that is happening in GW2. A very VERY (probably less than the ppl in my spot due to gold) small amount of people experience a bug where they get DC from log-in servers due to their friendlist being too populated. I am one of them. And guess what? They do support this and although no ETA they are working on it and bla and bla. My point is – just because something only effects a couple people you thinking deal with it or gtfo or no support cause not enough ppl effected is very poorly thought.

The rules are there for us all to abide by.. a cap has been set for everyone, if you choose to try and circumvent it then expect appropriate actions to be taken. You might feel their are lots of players like you including goldsellers and map donation scavengers etc but the rule is what it is.. asking CS to jump through a hoop and try to wave a magic wand for you, means they have to then wave it for everyone else and that isn’t going to happen and quite rightly so.

I have seen the type of LFG’s posted up for SW chest farm “donations welcomed”.. well sorry any fool that wants to donate to you is just that a fool. The chest farm is there for any and all and your choice to put a tag on for 5-6 hours a day is your choice but asking for donation.. hmm suspicious much… lols it’s rude to send it back yeah right.. I have run a few of those SW chest runs and a constant “please donate peeps” is a frequent map chat request alongside that LFG.

I dont even care about the 1st part. There are no donations welcome there is no asking there are no fools. I’ve never asked in LFG for donations heck i dont even put up LFG i can get a map full from empty just by telling ppl i am starting on my map. There is a guild specificly following me to farm with me. I’ve never even said i ask for donations or anything EVER. I’d go in detail about how efficent sw farm is not about just tagging but that is not a topic for this thread.

I don’t know what kinda bad experiences you had in your life to be so bitter i feel sad for you. Just stop this offensive attack and stick to topic. I am very well known on EU silverwastes so no my story has no holes and have hundreds of people that can confirm it all. Please do NOT talk if you do NOT have knowledge.

Farming with 2 accounts simultaneously is bannable if you use a program to control your alt. I’m were aware of what’s allowed and what’s not, so let’s not try to distract from this. GM Chris banned a botter and all his other accounts for doing similar. You can multibox to have multiple accounts online at the same time, but you need to manually play one account at a time. That means alt-tabbing and moving each character individually. Doing this for hours and hours on end, and making more than 500 Gold on each account each week leaves me skeptical. That’s the red flag. And remember, I said that if you’re legit, then fine.

I just don’t get why you’d be skeptical. It is very easy to control 2 accounts for some people. It is more of a skill than a talent – do it for a week and you’ll be just fine running around pressing loot button. I can do dungeons with them but that’s another story

I just find it very rude you HAVE TO be skeptical or use terms like red flag but we are off-topic now.

It really saddens me how people that are not effected by the restriction have such an easy time telling another player to just deal with it.. or even go as far as to say support SHOULD NOT support these cases.

Not sure what to think about the past few hours of posts here. tyu, you admit that you only get about 10 Gold per week in donations, so that’s a non-issue. Your main gripe is the ability to transfer Gold between accounts. Then you bring up you farm with 2 accounts, which is a red flag in and of itself. In order to lead a proper SW Chest run, you realistically cannot manually control more than one account at a time without botting the second account. Alt-tabbing and running every few feet slows down the run. So forgive me when I say that your story has holes in it. GM Chris is able to look into your account history, so I have faith in him to catch botters. If you’re legit, then fine. But as of now, I feel that there’s really no further need to complain, as this Gold transfer limit is pretty much set.

They knew that a small number of legit players would be affected before they made the changes… and went ahead with the changes anyway. I try to be realistic in my expectations, and if it’s going to cost $100 to make $50 then it isn’t going to happen because they would just be throwing money away.

So, the changes you’re asking for will not happen. If they were going to do something like that it would have been part of the changes they made to begin with. At some point they may adjust the weekly cap but they are not going to give specific accounts an exception to this because it’s essentially telling players “you can go ahead and set up a bot if you can convince us you are not setting up a bot.”

Botting works that way already mate. Hence the term undetecable on most popular bots..once they are detectable they are useless. So it is ALREADY about convincing them you are not using one if you wanna set one up.

That bad example fixed – moving on – CS is one of the departments where it doesn’t bring in cash. In any company – yet it is important to invest in it for obvious reasons. And yes they did went ahead with changes to see how it’ll be. And so i am saying it is annoying as hell. And here you are – one of those that is not effected – telling me what ANET will do or wont do about it. Even after i gave you an example of them doing something about an error that only effects even less than the amount of players effected by gold limit.

A very VERY (probably less than the ppl in my spot due to gold) small amount of people experience a bug where they get DC from log-in servers due to their friendlist being too populated. I am one of them. And guess what? They do support this and although no ETA they are working on it and bla and bla. My point is – just because something only effects a couple people you thinking deal with it or gtfo or no support cause not enough ppl effected is very poorly thought.

You claim there are only a small number of legitimate players that would seek assistance from the CS Team, but what about all the players seeking ‘special consideration’ that are not legitimate? How much time should be allotted to verifying all the accounts of Gold-sellers, etc.?

And you think they do not? We only see a few of it in public. God knows how many tickets are being made via them especially for the accounts they have the necessary proof via mails etc. As false positives happen the opposite also happens.

I totally agree they cant factor such small cases but so they should be ignored? I said this many times in this thread already – i am not looking for them to overhaul the whole thing. Just a way so we can SPEND EXTRA TIME/EFFORT to somehow work around it with anet support. Or maybe increase the mail limit that is sufficent for a week. Or.. many other things i already typed.

98.228% of those accounts were RMT related.
Which means after the math, roughly 1 in 32,000 accounts impacted who weren’t involved in RMT. Across say 4 million accounts, that’s roughly 125 players caught by it.

Numbers one can live with.

I agree on this. I am asking for restrictions to not effect eachother in this way (aka mail limit.. cannot get gold in mail) or a way to prove that i have no life and not RMTing to somehow reset my limit once i hit it or any other ideas / easy to implement things from ANET.

I’m not sure how Anet handles it but isn’t multiple accounts against the EULA? Most publishers and devs in the MMO industry, typically restrict access to one account per person or even per household.

It is not against the EULA no you can google but dev posts and suppor ticket responses that say it is good as long as it is not automated exist.

In the MMO industry i hardly know any big titles restrict the user in this way actually and i did play a lot of MMOs so i’ll say your info is wrong. Even if it was right GW2 allows you to have as many accounts as you wish. Just no automation. Some people have 10+ accounts only for daily rewards as it outweights buying gems for gold after first month.

You cannot delete mails if they have attachments. Only return which as i said is very rude to do so when they are being said out of gratitude in the first place. Please read the first post totally as i already typed this. Not reading and replying is kinda bad.

I cannot sometimes i dont spend money for weeks sometimes i can spend 3-4 thousand in a day. If i could send money when i need there would be no problem! but i can only send 500g.

I dont think you understand. Example: I bought 20.000 gems the other day to get some extra char slots. Which are NOT giftable. There are many things that you cannot gift. And the idea of dealing my gold via 2 different accounts is very messy which is another point.

Weekly reset is saturday – transfering it to guild bank means i still cannot touch it over the limit so i am not sure how that helps? It only means now both accounts lost access to the gold.

Eh what? The 2nd account is only there to use and feed 1st account. Otherwise it is no different than having 2 main accounts. Stop having my money under my arms is indeed a good solution. Unless i dont know when i want to spend it on gems and various other things in the future which i’ll do (waiting for expansion). There are account bound things in this game as you are aware of i believe.. and it makes zero sense to have them on another account than the main.

I dont understand 2 guilds on seperate accounts? Guilds are not account-based. And i have not tried gbank as i assumed it was same cap – tried now and:

Yep so i am asking.. how much time would it take for 125 players to get a reset on their weekly cap if needed by asking anet personally? I doubt all 125 hits it every week so the actual number would be even less. It is just not fair and it doesnt have to be. I am just asking for a longer way and i’ll deal with the long way. I’d prefer this over RMT. I just dont like being able to do nothing about it.

The 500 gold a week was due to an RMT crackdown. According to their analysis of mailed gold, only a very few innocent people would be affected by this. I’m sorry if you are one of them but that’s the way it is.

Playing on multiple accounts is allowed. And no i manually control them both.

I understand the for the greater good. But dont you think we deserve at least one way to get around this? Apply somewhere for a bigger limit so they can check if the gold is legit or not. If we are such a small minority this shouldnt be too hard to monitor. And if we are not that small of a minority than the greater good becomes not s o great.

I am not questioning the method but the multiple methods that have a chain effect on the user.

At this point you are being mean on purpose. If you read i FARM LEAD 5-6 hours a day 6 days a week. That is where the gold comes from. Not donations! Lol.. i get maybe 10g per week from donations and half of that is from people finishing their legendaries thanking me. Please read again the first post.

I do not expect donations. I lead SW ChestFarm 6 days a week for 5 to 6 hours a day. It is usually same people join me with a follower list of around 600 people. So people know it is me putting the banner and food. Also i have to announce when i put the food otherwise people run-past it to dig in front while i wait for slow ppl to catch up / vendor for a few seconds. Banners are mine because everyone knows the guild tag and it is my personal guild which involves my 2 accounts only.

So donations happen. Returning them is the rude thing i dont really need the small amount of gold except the fact that it is a token of gratitude which makes me happy. It could be a worthless.

Also saying that’s the way it is is very bad in my opinion. The problem is the workarounds to this are also all restricted. At least it’d be nice if we could apply somewhere to reset our weekly gold cap..they could see if we are legit or RMTing but that’d mean more support power / money spent.. but really punishing the legit users is a bad idea no matter how small.

Hello all! This is a tiny rant but mainly a question how other people deal with this?

I have 2 accounts that i farm on at same time and the amount of gold i make is 500g+. I stopped selling t6 mats and i stopped selling ectos/lodestones etc and i was a bit below 500g this way.

This was ok till i had to skip opening purses and such for 3 days and missing the reset. Now i cannot get the gold on my 2nd account.. but that is NOT the problem i have i can slowly deplete it over time i guess.

The problem: I get donation mails. They can be 15-20s to 5g etc. nothing big because i lead and put food trays for ppl and banners for 5-6 hours per day. These mails i also cannot get because of the cap. So another cap (mail) is getting full now. This is what annoys me. TOO MANY restrictions.

I had an idea to send all mats from 2nd account to 1st account and sell on tp there but then i realised that doesnt help cause i have to wait for SO LONG due to the restriction on TP where you cannot sell too many items and have to wait.

These restrictions are making eachother worse. They either have to be more loose or at least one of them has to go away. I understand this is NOT the case for majority but i know many people that play on multi accounts. Even if i am not in the majority i hope you can understand how frustrating these restrictions are on me – a player loves this game and does what he likes (farming) in it. I never have done anything illegal yet the feeling of getting punished for playing the game is getting heavier by each new restriction.

Sorry for long post. If anyone has suggestions for people like me please do share but to clear some misinformation pre-hand: the 500g limit is on the account regardless of the money source. I cannot take ANY gold from ANYONE else after 500g. Mails can only be returned till you take the money attached and i already have to wait quiet a while on TP sales after farming with just 1 account worth of mats.
