So what you’re saying is stealth is strong in this game that you were willing to throw away 300+ gold and totally reroll purely for one stealth on a long CD. Excellent point.

Its the combination of stealth to dump all targets and none-AOEs then dashing 1600 then leaping 600 in about 3 seconds that makes it amazing. After doing that, youre out of combat range, and if you have no conditions on your health will fully regen and you can WP out or you can just keep running and laugh at them if theyre even trying to keep up. And if they are, simply restealth, turn 90 degrees and dash again.

SF only rolls 15 deep dawg, at all times, they dont even lets pugs follow them unless they only have 14, and even then, its just 1 pug. I only know that cause Cue yelled at me once on TS and told me to not follow them and called me bad words and said something about the 15 only rule.

Ok, my earlier post was correct. Roll a Norn, use snow leopard, now you can do all the same stuff on any class, you just have to commit more to what youre doing as you can only run away/reset the fight once every few minutes, instead of once a minute (shadowstep/refuge are on 1 min timers basically). I still fail to see the problem. Thief is good at trolling, killing bad players low man, and running away. What is your profession good at that thief isnt? How would you feel if all the bad players started railing on it and trying to get it nerfed so you couldnt do the 2 or 3 things your class was designed to do?

The reason why jq is a no show is it hardly has any large pvp guilds.they make up the slack with their pve players. Those players just happen to be in southsun or should i say southsun overflow since there is a 3 hour long queue to get into it on jade.
I was in Southsun for 4 hours yesterday during very offpeak hours, and I didnt even get the pop up box asking if I wanted to transfer out of overflow. Go JQ! Next week it’ll be like a tentacle hentai raep movie when we show up on reset night, so watch the effff out.

Every character I have is a Norn, you know how often I use transforms, almost never. To even suggest something that has a 4 minute cooldown is even in the realm of a thief is pure trolling.
So basically you are saying that thieves negate the usefulness of every other race in WvW but, Norn’s? And, that even as a Norn, we all have to give up our Elite’s because of thieves? I think you just proven that Thieves are OP.
The way people in this thread talk, youd think giving up your elite for a “get out of jail free” card is what they want so they can be on par with thieves. How often do you really even run away? Every 4 minutes isnt enough time for you? I barely even use my elite on guardian, switching it to this was just gaining an amazing escape ability that guardian severely lacked at the cost of nothing.
Also, thieves give up everything for their stealths, you cant lose 1 skill to match them? And at no point did I say anything about thieves negating other classes. There are things thieves are good at, and there are things other classes are good at. Have you ever taken a thief and charged an enemy zerg with your zerg? you die super fast. My guardian however can stand there in the middle of the enemy and laugh. My thief can gank dolyaks in the middle of 4 people, my guardian cant. My guardian can give 4 people next to me tons of regen, protection, stability, retaliation, burning on attack, aegis, I can convert tons of conditions on them to boons, remove all of their conditions, block all incoming projectile attacks, heal them, take ridiculous amounts of damage so they dont have to, etc, my thief cant even come close to being that useful in a group fight. Every class has things it can do, and cant do.
TLDR:You guys need to stop QQing about the class that can run away from you, and focus on doing the things your class does, or play something else that does the things you want.

Only those who don’t buy siege. I spend every badge on siege, and then spend my gold on top of that….
My server doesnt let siege despawn or doesnt own anything. So I have no need to buy siege with badges, plus we generally own the EB puzzle and run everyone through and they donate their siege to commanders. If you’re wasting badges on siege youre doing it very wrong.
My suggestion to you is to lvl mesmer to 15 or something and get portal, and go stand in EB and have a friend shout in Lions Arch that youre doing the puzzle and for everyone to go get their daily chest and donate the siege to your war effort. Doing that for even an hour a day would get you an unGodly amount of siege if its not occurring at all on your server.

JQ is much stronger than any of the T2 servers, we’re in that position now where we’re to weak for the up tier (T1), and to strong for the down tier (T2). We need to shed some people or gain some people.

It’s purpose is to break combat at will and get away. You dont fight in snow leopard form. You have to use terrain and your common sense to do the rest, just like every thief ever in the history of this game. And you dont need to spy out thieves or whatever you said. If they attack you and youre going to lose, simply pop snow leopard and run away like they do. Thats what your problem with thief is isnt it? it’s not about balance the game so the “chasers” win, it’s about not letting one class decide when to engage, when to take risk, while putting other classes in less favorable situations in any sorts of confrontation.

People aren’t QQ’n because they’re baddies (most of the time, anyway). We’re QQ’n ’cause thieves are ridiculous strong with stealth in the WvW environment.
No, theyre pretty much QQing because theyre bad. It takes all of 3-4 hits from a tank to kill a thief who can clobber you 3 seconds, less if youre a glass cannon yourself. L2P and thief isnt much of an issue.

If that’s the case, give all classes some stupid ability that others need to pay for to counter.
I would just like to say that giving people the ability to pay badges and karma to straight counter someones class specific type abilities would be hilarious. Can you imagine being able to drop 15 badges to strip an ele or grd of the ability to apply boons for 30 seconds? How fast do you think theyd die at that point? How about 15 badges and some karma to remove an engineers access to turrets, potions and kits? Or better yet! 15 badges and some karma to remove a mesmers ability to summon clones or phantasms or apply any amount of confusion? We could make one for necros too that remove minions and dont let them apply any conditions to anything. After that we can move on to warriors, and remove their ability to use any CC and makes their max HP total half of what it naturally is.
You guys all know that this is exactly what youre asking for right? A money sink to hard counter a specific class. That’s some BS, and you guys should feel ashamed.

I’d like to see something like this, I think your gold spent requirement is a bit much though. I also dont think it would work because that isn’t something that is counted by the game as far as I know. Just sticking to things that are currently being tracked would be better.
But I would like to add that I want the old icon there and to remain the same and work in WvW, I just want the WvW icon to be a different color, like red. That way you can have 2 different tags for 2 separate purposes (main zerg+havoc group or something) and all the pugs will know which commanders are WvW commanders based on the fact that the red one cant be bought with gold.

The EMP who left didnt leave “for the competition,” they left “because of the competition.” T1 NA is very, very, very competitive when NA hours roll around, and thats when the people who left played. At this time of day BG recently seems to only fill 3 maps, JQ could almost fill 4, and SOR easily fills 4. Raw and Lee and whoever else leaves will have a vastly easier time playing on DB than they would of had on JQ. So please, stop with the talk of them doing it to help even out T1. If we wanted to even out T1, JQ and BG would have to get more NA people, not less.
To the none-sellouts in EMP, I hope you continue to like JQ and play here, I know I speak for almost everyone when I say we’re happy to have you.

We killed him a few times in JP (3rd floor, next to chest) and he was back in like 30sec. He is either using some terrain/fly/speed hack or other mesmer to port (which is really unlikely)
If you look at the first few of my pics, you can see he clearly teleports using an obvious hack across the canyon then back after he gets downed/raises himself.
Stuff like this makes me not even want to play.
I even have video evidence and have already reported him to Anet.
On a side note, JQ has no queues, when people say we do, it makes me chuckle.
Also, EMP leaving have not demoralized JQ in the slightest. I’d say we are doing quite well honestly. They were given a map to cover, and we had to pull our forces to fix for the unexpected loss. So for being 2v1’ed on reset night, we are not doing bad at all. Especially since the map isn’t full for us.

Without EMP, JQ’s won’t even able to compete with other 2 servers during NA time slot. it is true that there are other guilds out there, but none of them have EMP’s numbers.
JQ is being 2v1’d on 3 maps. All you need to do is look at the maps and you can see that, and we’re doing pretty well.

Is there a long Q to enter the map?
Are you losing the stuff you hold on the map?
Are you being 2v1’d?
Is your map commander making a big push to take something?
If the answer to any of these is currently yes, then you should not being trying to PVE in a PVP zone.

I thought it was the nerf to stealth that reduced their number, despite the fact nerf didnt really do anything. People are strange that way.
I quit thief because I refuse to relearn it until they fix it. Before everything on THF was built around 3 second cycles. Your auto attack took 3 seconds to complete, revealed lasted 3 seconds, stealth lasted 3 seconds, daze from sword stealth attack (almost) lasted 3 seconds, heck even the poison from the dagger auto attacks last strike lasted 3 seconds.
Now that revealed is 4 seconds, you have to CnD in the middle of the second attack, not even after it, or before it, for it to go off when revealed ends. It feels stupid, sloppy, unfinished, and like kitten. When before it was a nice polished class, when you could CnD > do your stealth attack > do 1 rotation of auto attack > CnD > be in stealth and move behind for your stealth attack again. The timing with the animations was spot on perfect. Now it’s just garbage, and like something a 3rd rate game would have in it and consider ok.

Not saying you are lying but do you have screen shots from other angles? At least one with the arrows from the arrow cart?
Your screen shot doesn’t prove that the circle on the left came from the arrow cart and not someone who is off screen. Arrow carts are generally built where that one is to kill enemy arrow carts that are behind the gate by seeing through the hole in the top.
Does my SS prove anything? I mean you can even see the arrows coming down in it.. But fir rilz, where do you stick an arrow cart outside that door that can drop the center of the red circle behind the guy on the arrow cart for JQ in front of the green door?

Ya, why not just find out when the server holding that point is weakest and get your friends to attack them then and take it? Or do it right before reset with a huge push, you can generally take anything at all about 20-30 minutes before reset. (8pm EST friday night)

If that means that JQ takes first every week then so be it. Winning means nothing. We all know that coverage is king. Why should we care then if they win? It just means they have better coverage.
If we were to team up would be any better than them? They win because of coverage but we win because we 2 v 1? LoL no thanks. I would rather kill everything in sight and call it a win.
This post is also why SOR deserves to be in T1, and why I like them, and BG doesn’t. SOR want to fight, BG wants to 2v1 so they dont get kicked to T2.

I dont know why youre crying or why this thread exists honestly, for the past week or two its basically always SOR+BG attacking JQ and ignoring each other. Mainly on EB and JQ BL, while BG owns nothing in SOR BL and SOR sometimes owns 1 keep in BG BL, when they take it from JQ.
This is simply my perspective playing in the NA afternoon/night time, but that doesn’t make me wrong about what happens at this time of day.

Great fights last night on JQ BL!
RIOT had our five man roaming squad and we ended up running along with Pro’s five man after capping the west supply camp. We happened on 8-10 JQ at the sentry below Keep who immediately ran from us and got strung out. Easy pickings. Then when we looked down into the quarry supply camp we saw a group of SoR and a group of JQ, each about 6-7 strong, standing on opposite ends of the camp with a bunch of AOE circles in between them. Ran down and rolled the JQ group whilst SoR stood by. Once we were finished with JQ we wiped the SoR group. I guess you guys were waiting for JQ to soften us up a bit? Anyway, lots of fun. Props to Pro and props to JQ and SoR for not calling in an airstrike whenever we show up
There were a lot of good small group fights last night. Hope that trend continues with small havoc groups coming up on one another. Nothing worse than capping a supply camp and having the enemy server exercise their nuclear option on you, rolling you with three or four times your groups number.
This is a funny post, you talk about killing groups smaller than you repeatedly, then say youre glad you didnt run into a group larger than yours because you would of died.

If this is your idea of PvDoor… how many people does the opposing team need?
Simple solution. Put a cap on the number of non-NA players allowed on any one NA server based on a +/- percentage of the total number of non-NA players on NA servers with the objective of fairly balancing the the population of non-NA players across all the NA servers to make game play more competitive 7/24.
As I recall from playing friday, JQ was winning when NA prime ended. This ‘solution’ of yours wouldnt let you win anyway. so lol

We had like 6 or 7 people in EB screwing around yesterday hoots. We were going to form up and storm in and try and take JQ’s keep but we saw BG was trying to do the same. And none of us really wanted to deal with a 3 way stand off with nothing but skill lag to keep us company so we just kinda poked JQ with a stick to keep them angry at us lol. It was way early in the day maybe around noon to 1pm ish my time I think.
You’re gonna have to try harder if you want JQ to attack you more than BG. lol

Also, North is up, south is down, and west/east are read as WE, an actual word, EW is not a real word. That makes it easier to remember, like how you can point your thumbs at each other and point your fingers up, and the one that makes an L is left.

Anet certainly makes drastic game changes based on players crying for nerfs. Look at Thief… Mesmers and Engis get ready to be nerfed, because the complaints are about to get worse if the complaints about stealth and how they kept ramping up are an indication of whats about to happen when we see more and more confusion stacking builds being played.
I think engineers are fine… maybe even certain kits needing buffs. The main problem with grenade engineers at the moment involve the SAB camera glitch letting them hit pretty all the way over walls.
My post was specifically about engineers who stack confusion. I guess I should of made that more clear.

Look at Thief… Mesmers and Engis get ready to be nerfed, because the complaints are about to get worse if the complaints about stealth and how they kept ramping up are an indication of whats about to happen when we see more and more confusion stacking builds being played.
A simple condition removal gets rid of our confusion. Boom, it’s gone. Everything we traited for, gone. Plus, and I reiterate, confusion really doesn’t do good damage.
Simple condition removal? Confusion is like last on the list of stuff that gets removed as far as priority goes. If it was simple, no one care. On my guardian I have shouts recharge 20% faster, shouts convert 1 condition to a boon, I run 3 shouts (2 on 25 second timer, 1 on 45 second timer), and one of my virtues removes 3 conditions on a 45 second timer. And it is absolutely impossible for me to remove confusion every time a decent mesmer or engi applies multiple stacks to me over any sort of fight that lasts longer than 30 seconds. The first time its easy to remove, after that its gets extremely hard because of the priority order for what conditions get removed.
And confusion doesn’t do good damage? If that was even remotely true no one would use it and no one would cry about it. I’ve been hit with 7+ stacks of confusion and taken 4k+ damage from any action in half a second. The best part is when you have to do 2-3 actions to remove confusion and take 5k+ damage to remove it, or simply run from your opponent while they beat on you with ranged attacks for 10 seconds and end up taking that much damage anyway. Confusion is more OP than stealth thieves were before culling was fixed.

That north hills fight was quite fun, it was nice to have a solid open field fight. Its been a long time for [TW] at least, to have a guild fight them in the field.
This is pretty funny considering TW ran away from the JQ pug zerg to hide in a tower twice yesterday in EB when I was there. I was the warrior who attacked the legendary hammer wielding TW commander tag and got pounced on by all of you when he was half dead because he couldn’t take me on his own as he tried to run into wildcreek after getting chased out of rogues. I doubt you guys remember, but to me it was hilarious. In fact, the only thing you guys seemed to do was take our towers BG had already flipped when we were fighting each other, and attack JQs keep when BG was distracting us and attacking it from the other side….. then get half killed and run away again and wait for BG to come back to support your push.
