My favorite part about confusion is when you cant get your character to stop effing attacking.

I think you guys are blowing this out of proportion by getting mad about it. It’s just an unexpected bug that arose from a new feature (guesting) most likely. There’s no need to get your panties in a knot over it. They know about it and are working on it/have fixed it.

But seriously, I think a good solution to this problem would be to not allow people to guest to JQ. Theres enough players on JQ at all times of day to do anything, guests are not needed. Lock them out please.

This is the new way to beat JQ in WvW, have all your PVE players guest onto it to lock the WvW players out from being able to log into the game and thus compete against them. Forget siege capping us and wasting all our supply, lock our players out! lol.

This just happened to me too. I was in Lions arch clearing my characters inventories, logged out to the character select screen to select a different one, and now it keeps telling me network error and crashing back to the log on screen whenever I try to select one.

This video is no where near as good or entertaining as the the previous ones. Thief is a crappy class now and needs buffed. Killing a bunch of uplevels and bads isn’t much of an accomplishment, and that’s all he managed to do in this video.

The best counter is to split into groups of 9, and attack everything they own at the exact same time. I say 9 because this would allow you to drop 3 rams on every gate they have. But every group needs to drop its 3 rams and be using them at the exact same time, that way the massive zerg can only take out 2-3 groups and the others will take whatever theyre trying to take. This is of course assuming they own a lot of stuff.

There was a guy from SOR last night in BG BL running their golems into the spiders at south supply camp killing them, we tried to warn people from SOR about it, but I dunno what happened after that. I agree that this is total BS and needs to stop, I want to troll forums and have good fights and not have to worry about people being lame and ruining the real fun in WvW. When JQ comes up to your stuff and takes it, I want it to be because JQ out played you, not because some moron made it easy mode for us. Same for when our stuff is taken.

Well the real question here is can they thump JQ the way BG did in a short time with much less coverage.

BG would probably be happy to go back to T2 actually, I doubt TC and Kain use box event exploits and neither are each others lapdogs for weeks on end. T1 has become a big skill lag filled zergosity, I would think BG still likes smaller 10 – 20 man fights map wide, at least they used to. BG also lost it’s top commander to real life and the amount of quality fights have diminished greatly. T2 would be a welcome change, BG accomplished what it came for

I find it funny youre complaining about SOR ‘exploiting’ and also saying you won. Siege capping your competition isn’t exploiting? Lets face it, we all know thats the only reason BG won. You can talk big all you want, but most of JQ simply didnt play those last days because of it, while BG pulled ridiculous long shifts just to win by what…. 10k? It must suck to have that overshadow your ‘victory’. Winning by exploiting isnt really winning IMO. I also find it hilarious you talk about BG not grouping it’s entire zones population on 1 tag, when thats the exact opposite of what I always see.

Dont believe those people, any decent build on any class can solo supply camps. The trick is to not be kitten and pull everything at once, pulling mobs 1 or 2 at a time is possible.

Last week’s match BG had almost no one logging on for some reason and doomsday prophets predicted the end of the server. But now, no one is predicting the end of SoR or JQ

Good luck new guy, I hope you listen to the community and sort out all the various issues that exist in wvw- I’m sure there was a list here somewhere, it ran to a few hundred pages.

First order of business: disable being able to stomp from stealth- bad enough being hit for 6k by cluster bomb (checks all ranger single skills, nothing comes close in one hit for the ‘masters of range’) then 6k /8k/6k/6k macro attack then stealth while he decides which side to stomp you from whilst you can’t see him.

Please dont listen to people like this. GRDs and WARs have stability to stomp, Engis have the tiny potion, Eles have mist form, etc. THF only has stealth and can still be hit by all CC’s and AOEs and everything else, unlike the other jobs. If anything, THF needs it’s stomping ability buffed to be in line with the overpowered abilities others have, not nerfed. Thanks and welcome to the team. Now give me back my 3 second revealed timer or change everything about THF to 4 second cycles instead of 3. The auto attack, the poison on the 3rd hit of dagger main hand, stealth base timer, the sword from stealth move needs its stun bumped up to 3 seconds instead of 2, etc. The half hearted not thought through 4 second change ruined the job far more than Anet probably intended. Also, pistol/dagger condition damage is vastly less effective now, if you stick with a 4 second timer you need to add 2-3 more hits to the from stealth pistol attack.

You get a bug report after your game closed?

Sometimes my client completely closes and ill get the submit a report window, sometimes it just closes without any pop-up and other times it will DC me from the game with a Internet/ Firewall problem which has to be a server side issue as i remain in TS3 talking.

Only begun happening since the 26th patch, even with most of my settings on lowest.

This has happened to me 4 or 5 times since the update too. I always get the report feature to pop up when it crashes and I always send it in, hopefully it helps. Tonight though I had ridiculous skill lag in both the maps I tried to play in, I couldnt do anything but die repeatedly because the only thing that worked was my dodge roll. Not even my auto attack 1 worked half the time.

I stopped reading right here. P/V/T gear is tank gear, you’re building your Guardian as a tank and you don’t realize it. Power/Precision/Crit damage is the damage dealing gear.

I had WAR and GRD 80 before leveling THF, I only leveled it because I had such problems with them whenever I would find them 1 on 1. I didn’t make complaint threads or cry about it, I rolled the class, learned how it worked, and then for the past 2-3 months I’ve never lost a 1 on 1 vs a THF on GRD or WAR. Seriously, not one. THF was pretty amazing after leveling it though. I mostly just do WvW, if there was an organized zerg around, I’d play GRD or WAR and roll with it. If not, I’d roam around by myself on THF, and it was a blast, most fun I’ve had in a video game in a long time. And whether the OP is trolling or not, his words speak the truth, thank God I have a GRD or I’d quit this game til THF is fixed.

Survivability for a lot of player comes from skill, not HP.

Anyone can get snuck up on when their one stun breaker is down, or suddenly find themself against 3 people when there was only 1 before. Having enough HP and defense to survive some crazy GCs initial burst is important. My thf is set as 10/30/30/0/0, and uses PTV pants, body, hat and all divinity runes, berserker everything else. I find that to be enough.

Retaliation is fine as it is, I like using it to murder crappy glass cannons in a second, pistol whip thieves being my favorite. That said, as a guardian myself (its the only thing Ive played since the update since my thf is garbage now), and on a T1 server where zergs are 70+ people, I always dive head first into the heart of the enemy forces and whirl away. You just need to stop being a crappy glass cannon, toughness matters, HP matters, and sustainability through healing and boons matter. You’re most likely dieing to being hit, not retaliation, if you’re really jumping into a ton of people.

I found a Dusk in WvW off a random invader, bought myself 2 tags. /win

Ya know, it’s funny, because this is the exact opposite impression I get as I have to watch BG’s backside all day long when I play. Even today, I got 2v1’d by a THF and WAR, THF ran 3+ times to reset its HP during the 10 minute fight, WAR ran at least twice, and in the end they both ran from my crappy guardian without getting me below 75% HP. It was pretty bad, and makes me kinda mad that everyone runs faster than me =/

I think if you learn where to pull from to split the guards up and not fight them all at once youd have a easier time of it.

I dont mind the terrible choices of skins so much, but where the &*^$ are my WvW ascended items!? And why is it still more time and cost effective to go do dungeons for exotic gear? or just world PVE content? I can do PVE for 3-4 hours and get 10+ gold easy, which will buy me 2 pieces of exotic gear, or I can do 2 dungeons in that time and get 2 pieces of exotic gear+money and buy a third, or I can go to WvW and maybe earn 1 piece of gear…. if my server is good enough and we fight a lot of people and win. I thought this game was suppose to reward players equally for however they like to play? Ascended backpacks still aren’t even available to PVP players. At least you can get the rest through dailies in about 3 months….

The rest of the update is amazing at least (except the half-@$$ed thf nerf.)

4 seconds of revealed is way better than revealed every time you exit stealth. It does completely throw off the thieves rhythm though. Before it was fromstealthattack > 1 autoattack round > CnD. Now it’s fromstealthattack > 1 autoattack round > wait 1 second > CnD, which is unintuitive and stupid. If they fix this aspect of it, I won’t mind to much, but as it is now it’s just wrong. They need to up the damage of THF auto attack and slow it down, or add a 4th attack (that takes 1 second) to dagger and sword.

That was a Q full of BG smashing into a Q full of SOR, while a Q full of JQ stood there for a minute, then rushed in and finished off BG after they killed SOR.

EDIT: But dont ask me how BG actually managed to kill off SOR, BG was between JQ and SOR and should of died first, not second, lol.

Just drop a third arrow cart behind the gate instead of a cata+2 arrow carts. I don’t really agree with this change, but I think thats the best you can do.

We left our normal fighting force for that hour to fight you in that hour, because thats what we always do during the week. It’s your own crazy self delusions that make you think we have a full Q on every map during those hours fo the day. Here’s how it works, JQ leaves 10~ people on every map, we have like a half full EB, and then theres a zerg of FOO and the other oceanic guilds that travel between maps and flip stuff. That’s how it’s worked for months.

To AFS, this is how it really is o JQ. Don’t believe the hate that you will always see about how we have full Q’s 24/7 and whatever. It might be a bit different now with the new update, but this is how it’s been on JQ for a long time. Sometimes random guilds will show up if they stay up late/wake up early, and there’s always more on weekends, but during the weekday you would have plenty of people to fight and kill and people to help support what you’re doing if you moved to JQ.

You guys are just being haters. Rewriting the code for WvW to eliminate culling is a great thing, and sure, it took a long time, but thats how something like that is. If you dont like the game, come back in 3 months and look at it again. From this point on we should be seeing more frequent updates since Anet said this is what theyve been spending all their time on, and it’s done now.

Good job on the update Anet, it’s amazing (except the thf nerf), now go fix skill lag so it can be even better.

As to your criteria I’de say last week was a pretty good example of the Blackgate SEA guilds working together ;P

Between MERC, ND, Thai, Urge we managed to pull together and full cap all borderlands, not through coverage but via constant communication via our TS and our floating / stationary teams which allowed for a 500 ppt even against JQ’s stacked SEA. Ofc we’re paying for it this week with most our guilds being burnt out / tired and JQ being as ferocious as ever, but we worked together flawlessly to achieve the goal; beating JQ.

It’s pretty hilarious that you claim to have a 500 PPT while not having superior coverage/players at the time, just sayin.

I always go for the easiest targets first, so my order looks like this:
Legendaries > green up arrows > gold stars > people standing in the back trying to do ranged damage > other.

He was kicked out of one of the main guilds, I was thinking it was PRX, but I don’t really know honestly. People on our TS said it earlier, but I admit to not be paying much attention. The point here is that JQ guilds do not tolerate BS hackers, and we hope our opponents on BG, SOR, maybe eventually Kaineng, and everywhere else follow this example. I know I speak for 99% of the JQ community when I say this as well.

Guy’s don’t call out a server over a few players.

Calling out a server over a few players is perfectly acceptable if people on that server are not willing to help stop the exploiters. Personally I hope we can get this guy and the guy who is dropping rams everywhere on JQs maps banned so we can go back to having fun and exploit free competition.

It really takes the fun out of it when your zerg runs up to a gate to try and sneak attack the enemies keep, but when you arrive an exploiter already had the door at 1%. There isnt much you can do then except sigh and not bother to even try to take the keep, and just leave. Which happened to us on JQ earlier, it’s very disheartening and kills peoples morale and desire to play the game.

So, someone on JQ (possibly our guy who keeps building rams everywhere) is now hiding underwater and hitting BG’s gates with a golem from underwater. I find this to be a very crappy thing to do, and I hope you continue so I can get your account name and we can all report you and get you banned.

Here’s kitten I took of him doing it, I was currently running up to the gate to try and target him, but he dissappeared right when I got close. Notice the green dot on my minimap inside bay’s wall.

EDIT: If you read the text box, that was about a minute before this picture was taken, I saw the gate rocking and no one around hitting it. So the guy was definitely underground or in the wall.

Many of the events in the cursed shore on Jade Quarry are broken, and have been broken for 2-3 days. I’m just wondering when this will get fixed. Included are everything leading up to taking the temple of Melandru, and the chain that starts at Penitent waypoint and moves south with Jofast, even the gates of Arah and Anchorage waypoint.
