The funny thing is duelers are usually the most skilled people playing WvW, while the duel breakers are usually the worst.
Don’t know how many times one dude has interfered in a duel and got ashamed by imploding just a few seconds later…
The only restricting thing in WvW are the structures, which it determines around them. GvG, zerg fights in open zones, duels, ganking… are all creations of the players and by so, they’re not a core aspect of WvW and cannot be prohibited from WvW.
So it all comes down to the idea of WvW you have and the respect over other players. If you’re interfering with the way other players have decided to play, they have also the right to put you down.
You can duel anywhere but you guys always do it in the open because it’s about being attention kitten….so there is no shame in dying.
Why can’t they add one of the three as DBL? Why do they all have to be 3 identical ones?
Assuming they make all of the lords etc the same, there’s no real reason that it can’t be done. Only possible issue is that one map could be easier to defend than the other and gives a team or two an advantage but I don’t think it’d be that big of a deal.
My vote is for Alpine lords. I dislike the teleports, CC spams and other gimmicks that the desert lords have. It’s the boring choice, sure, but the one I prefer.
Lords are irrelevant. Each map is cycled each round so it would be distributed evenly across matches.
I wanted to ask for other opinions because I couldn’t believe this happened and wanted to know if this was a new ’’trend’’ for players, but of course my in-game reaction was to go play pvp and keep enjoying the game. It is easy to find one kid, but 8 in a row seems unlikely.
For those asking: ~7500 and ~11000 ap, warrior and necro, full meta builds, half-asc/half-exotic and full ascended, normal dyes and skins (including expensive ones) used on armor and pink on outfit, nothing was said at the beginning but “hey” and “heyho”.

maybe it was wrong to say that, but think about how you look. You are spamming a very loud jarring colour and noone like that in a fantasy setting.
Since we don’t know how easy it would be to change the animation and the location of the glider from above to below the char, we can’t say. I knew ahead of time that would be your response I went ahead and found this quote and saved it. It’s a quote about a different subject but it makes the point that if you’re not a dev working for this company you can’t say how easy or hard it would be to put in a feature.
It’s most likely a point in 3d space as an anchor. The animation is already rigged for sitting. So it merely is setitng the anchor and then telling the char to sit. That’s it.
it was made long before gliding was put in the game, like 2 years ago, and it’s a toy not a backpiece.
Black feather wings were also released a long time ago, and we got a free glider skin if we owned them when HoT released
The black feather wings are a backpack. This is not. It’s a totally different category of items that’s not even armor related like the backpacks are. The main problem though is that it would also require reworking the flying animation to a sitting animation, which means it’s not a simple fix of putting a new skin on a glider like the wings were.

Desert BL is great for 1v1 roams etc. The only reason it’s not popular is bc wvw and the mechanics of gw2 grinding and class ‘balance’ make 1v1s really unfun.
Desert BL at night particularly is kitten nice the map is just way ahead of this game in terms of design imho.
I always hated the “guild” part of the gulid wars name even with 1 because guilds fail precisely because of the deficient individuals in charge of them.. Now we see the long history of guild oriented focus culminate in complete ignorance about solo mmo play, which was aided to some extent in the past. You now have people thinking they are so great that solo players aren’t even on their radar in terms of interest…absolute, trained ignorance by game companies. “guild” is only a name and nothing about the ingame “guilds” makes you important just to set the op straight.
I only recently started playing again and when combined with my char walking in to the southWEST part of the Desert WvW at night gave me a kitten practically…all alone with my gw2 gf……there are parts of the desert map that are left wanting but many parts are really really nice. All it needed was to be changed here and there the bigger problem is wvw. I think it should alternate.
The big scam is cloth scraps etc because it goes hand in hand with the crafting ridiculousness…..someone is keeping the price up for no other reason than to annoy people. Whether it’s Anet staff sellers or a 3rd party idk, but idk why Anet allows peolpe to use the black lion system to hedge people………“hey look we have our very own trader market where people scam others like in irl. Does that make us important? I think so!”

Yes you said nothing at all constructive, but somehow didn’t get attention from the op? Whereas I made a point about the op being ok with grinding which is relevant to the topic.

Nah, I didn’t say I like grinding. I said I would prefer slowly working on a longer quest over a period of two months than having to craft to achieve something like Mawdrey. Not sitting in Silverwastes for hours each day, but go in there, run the event, get a small part of it. Repeat until I have enough. Like getting a Torment weapon back inGW1.
what’s wierd is you didn’t say the same to squee’s unconstructive comment here to you, that doesn’t even talk about part of the game like I did (ie grinding on my part.) Why is that?
The realistic answer is: I shouldn’t play tennis and if I did, realize how bad I am at it understanding that it would be unreasonable for someone to redefine tennis for me to win it, fooling myself into believing I can be good at it. It’s completely unrealistic and nonsensical.
I think grinding is a scam but each to their own I guess. I don’t associate grinding with casually playing tennis like you do. That is to say if you support the design of the game around “success” being the obtainable items, then you support the grinding scam because grinding is the game’s main feature.
Let’s be honest… the story is packed with cringeworthy lines and meaningless mob spam… I find myself clicking through everything ……….even the leveling up noone cares to do events……they’ll hit one mob and run on. Every1 is kidding themselves….
Idk why the op is so upset bc I ended up bleeding eyes and haven’t completed one story yet on one 80…….despite all the hype there is some churned out stuff here with mob spam too. You can’t ignore it.

I actually think such a line is really nice however perhaps the wrong person is saying it. Why would a banker say it……it’s quite possible but I think the problem is some of these lines seem random and it would need a lot of work to add depth to all these little things.
Their skin is a mixture of bark and leaves so they look like what they are.
Also, they don’t have private parts because they’re plants.
They do that’s why the area is “covered” with too many lines etc. Plus you could say the same about any anatomical feature. They’re plants so they don’t have eyes, fingers or heads.
The appeal was that female sound where they keep getting hit and going oooh ohh oohh oohh ooh like a dozen times every 3 seconds………makes them sound alien like they’ve never felt pain……best thing was removed.
Doggie seems to know what I mean…………………but yeah it’s hard to describe. The base textures rather than look like trees……….look like a cross between a corpse and leaves….so :P……….especially around the private parts and along the back and shoulders, for example. Just so many wierd lines.
After Season2 of LS i knew devs are busy working on expansion. I was excited with every single news about the story, mechanics, classes and areas……………….

Um. There’s nothing political about this. The Sylvari have their own culture.
“All things have a right to grow”, doesn’t mean “Everyone is right”. It means what it says. Everything has a right to exist. From the mighty human gods to lowly insects. Being a pacifist this seems completely inline with Ventari’s teachings. As a result Sylvari do their best not to kill needlessly or discriminate against other beings.
The cycle you are born is in literally the same thing as your zodiac sign. It’s a belief the Sylvari have that your personality is partially dictated by what time of the day you’re born during. Looking around and listening to the NPC dialogue confirm this. Some of the NPCs do follow the stereotypes of their cycle, but others don’t. There is at least one NPC who assumed another is from a specific cycle based on it’s personality, but is corrected. So there are Sylvari who are atypical for their cycle.
I’d prefer if you read what I wrote and what the text says, more than disagreenig for the sake of it.
I’ve tried really hard to get a Sylvari I like (as much as Norn etc), but there is something wrong with the options and textrues or something in character creation.
I just can’t make one I like a lot. It almost is possible.
I am very surprised they did not update character creation for Sylvari as other people must have noticed this.
I think it’s the base body textures. Some of the overlays help but there is alwys some issue. It could also have something to do with the body shapes, or the clothing (*pukes* at light starter clothing). I’m pretty sure it’s the base textures.

imo i think the devs are being unnecessarily pessimistic about those ones…also, all of your points about the centaur are depressing…but i think as a race the nobility of the creatures walking the cobbled streets would instill a need for a visual update.
