Closed. Someone tampered with the results, and now it’s all whacked up. I’m trying to fix it, but I can’t promise anything. I’ll post the valid results in a spreadsheet if I can.

I actually like them both, lol. The first one fits the ‘corrupted’ theme better, in my opinion. The second one, however, looks neater and like something you can actually shoot. xD

I use Sword/Sword and Staff. This is my build (I use it for PvE and sPvP):

The utilities work great and the weapons synergize well, but the sigils are subject to change. As far as the traits go, I may change them slightly. It’s supposed to be a shattery duelist sort of build but I’m still working on it. I definitely want 10 in Domination, 20 in Dueling and 30 in Illusions, but the last 10 points trip me up a bit.

In PvE, my stat priorities are 1)Power ; 2)Toughness = Vitality ; 3) Precision and it feels great. I was thinking of switching to a 1)Power ; 2) Precision ; 3) Toughness = Vitality build, but I’m not sure about it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? XP

P.S. If you find that your DPS is bad, I’d definitely take Power over Precision.

Psh, dual swords look cooler than a sword + a ranged weapon (or a ranged weapon + a ranged weapon … unless it’s dual pistols, which we don’t have)!

Is there? Because every so often, I lose my weapon skill bar. The skills just poof. It’s really annoying, especially in sPvP. (I put this in the Mesmer forum ’cause it seems to only happen on my Mesmer…)

I play Sword/Sword and Staff if that means anything.

As I stated in the other thread, I encourage people to actually transfer to the ‘hated’ server to see what the community is like before bashing it. Server transfers are free. Just stay for the 24 hours, come see what the server is all about. I bet you’ll be happily surprised with what you see and hear.

No need to whine, when we’re the ones kicking your tail. This is about like-minded people, playing a game in a like-minded way. And I can see the kind of people that Maguuma attracts/retains.

On thing free server transfers have taught us is that many folks have managed to find a home that’s the right fit for them. You all fit very nicely in with each other, I’ll give you that.

I really do think that if you spent some time in Maguuma, in WvW and on our voice chats, you wouldn’t be talking about us like this. In fact, I encourage you to, server transfers being free and all. I’m sure it’d change your outlook on the situation.

I do hope you realize that Maguuma isn’t full of Goons. The vast majority of Maguumans are from other guilds.

Okay, long story short, this is what the non-Maguumans are talking about:

These are orders we’ve received through Mumble.
Step 1) Everyone gathers up in a huge, condensed zerg.
Step 2) Begin to attack.
Step 3) Mesmers start throwing down portals. People go through portals (portal bombing, lol).

People over Mumble started talking about possibly using combo fields to possibly produce a similar effect as well. That was what I experienced on Mumble last night. It, in short, causes rendering issues. That’s apparently what the ‘alliance’ was formed over. XD

I do not know if you are ignorant or trolling. But the mechanic abused was a rendering issue, where they cannot be seen. Not to be confused with the previous invisible bug. But a clearly stated issue in which both NSP and DH have been seen, even other Maguuma people have acknowledged this. Have you even read any other post here?

OH, that! Now I know what you’re talking about. Something to do with Mesmer portals (if I remember correctly) causing rendering issues. You can do it on command.

Is that what this is all about? XD

When I was a kid my dad used to make me pancakes every Sunday morning. I used to put boysenberry sauce on them. You guys ever tried boysenberry sauce? its a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry…very popular in the south (although I live in NH now). I miss my dad’s pancakes, he always made them so fluffy. He would add cinnamon sugar to the batter and they always tasted so good. I’ve been on this server since the first BWE. I’ve played WvW exclusively for the past 5 weeks. Whatever you’re talking about either A] is complete bull crap or B] is true, but being practiced by a very small group of people who the majority of Maguuma players don’t even know about.

How much are the rare and exotic Invader’s trinkets (the amulet, rings, and accessories)? I’ve been searching online for forever and I can’t even find a screenshot of the vendors. Would anyone be kind enough to post the Karma (rare) and Badge of Honor (exotic) values of these items for me? ;~;

I hate it when people call their builds “perfect” or “the best”. The build you posted isn’t bad, but it’s not perfect. I don’t think any build is perfect.

Personally, I like Sword/Axe and Rifle. It’s extremely effective. Right now my offensive stats are a Power/Condition Damage balance ‘cause I’m still figuring out which way to go with it, but still, it works. There are MANY viable builds in WvW.

Also, don’t take Rifle or Longbow??? What? I played with a Longbow all the way to 80 and recently switched from Longbow to Rifle. They’re both amazing WvW weapons. The Rifle is a killer single-target/piercing weapon in WvW because there’s so much chaos going on people won’t know what they’re getting hit with. It’s also great for 1v1s and smaller fights, especially if you know how to use it. The Longbow is perfect for situations where you want AoE (sit on a tower wall and pew pew at everyone who’s stacked on a gate).

Mesmers AND Thieves! XD

Hope you Maguumans are having fun. I’m missing all the action because my hard drive decided to poot out on me. Hopefully I can get it repaired/replaced today. >.<

No exploit, one of our Mesmer has a little hidden spot in this area, got there, waited for you to take it then made a portal.
First time the zerg followed, second time (this screenshot) we were only 4 or 5 at first and he had to redo the portal multiple times for the force at the ram to understand what the kitten was going on.

He showed us this hiding spot so we can check it each time we go there.

Sounds like you are saying “Anet put this tiny little hidden spot that you can avoid any normal entry point and not have to siege a Fort in order to take it. This is just a secret/hidden spot, not an exploit!”

And yeah, if you don’t sweep up your new possession, don’t be surprised you lose it fast. We learned it the hard way during last match-up.

I’d call bullkitten if it happened like 30mn after losing the tower (what kind of player who’d wait this long) but if you have portalers like 5mn after taking a tower or keep the chance of an exploit are slimmer.

I think a counter is a good idea, but I dunno’ about Arcing Slice. I really hate that skill, so I could just be biased. XD

Maybe an adrenaline build-up, like Riposte on the OH Sword?

Eventually, I had 3 people in a party and 2 people tagging along. We almost took Bluebriar… but a group of FA came in just as we got the door down. Too bad, too, we got the Lord down so much I couldn’t see his health bar — then we wiped. ):

If we had 2 more people we would’ve captured it, but it 6 just wasn’t enough. Moral of the story: MAGUUMANS (and players from other servers who are the underdogs now), GET INTO WvW! You still have a chance!

[Guild] Team Leader – if you have 6+followers.
[Guild] Lieutenant – 12+ followers
[Guild] Commander – 20+ followers
[Guild] Field Marshal – 50+ followers
Insert guild name in the brackets if you are in the guild layer.

Yea, I think it really depends on the situation. My opinion:
sPvP = Decent
PvE = Good
WvW = Amazing

In WvW, there are so many people attacking at once, most of the time you don’t even notice where the shots are coming from. Also, barely anybody will know that they’re about to get hit with a Kill Shot.

I played Sword/Axe and Longbow all the way to 80, but recently switched out the Longbow for a Rifle. I looooove it. I miss the AoE of the Longbow, as well as the burns, but the single-target power of the Rifle is awesome.

Also, I’m going to talk about something that I find doesn’t get enough attention: the aestheic. The aestheic is just … rawrawrawr I LOVE IT. XD

The sounds the Rifle makes are so appealing to me, especially Kill Shot which echoes in the distance. The unsheathe sound is great. The way the Rifle looks in general (at least the Krytan skin I use) is really cool. The way my Sylvari warrior holds the Rifle when out of combat/not firing just looks cool. I love the animations my character makes on idle when my Rifle is out.

I love WvW, and I feel like a Commander (though I’m not) when I use a Rifle. I have no idea why, but the Rifle alone gave me the push I needed to actually lead a party in WvW. We were in Fort Aspenwood borderlands, and as Maguumans, we had nothing captured. I led a 4-man party to capture Bluebriar, and 2 other players came along as well. Unfortunately, a group of FA came through the gate as soon as we got it down. We got SO CLOSE to taking it. I literally couldn’t see the Lord’s HP bar. If we had 2 more people, we could’ve had it. ;~; Now I reeeeeally want to start leading in WvW.

The point of that story: THE RIFLE HAS SPECIAL POWERS! Do not underestimate it! XD

Fix bugs, such as “Fast Hands” only working some of the time …

When will the people who finished story mode BEFORE the bag bug fix get the items they were supposed to get in the first place? ;~;

I’ve done that a couple of times, but I wasn’t just dancing around for no reason. The first time I was with a Commander and a bunch of other people, waiting for more people to arrive so we could capture stuff. The second time, I was with a bunch of other people and we were waiting for a Commander and his guild to show up there so we could capture stuff.

So yea, there might be a legitimate reason.

Just wondering. :P
