Had some very good fights against KN guilds (especially WM).
For the past 3 weeks I had much fun and I am sure many other Beasts did too.

So thank you KN and TC.
Personally I dont like seeing existing players move across servers.
But for any new player who is looking for a good server and a place like home.
Please consider Kaineng and Tarnished Coast.

interesting facts of Blackgate (a bit of server PR I know I know)

- BG are the only server that did not breakdown when dropped from t1 into t2. in fact, we survived the drop twice and are still going strong.
- BG only defeat in t2 happened the first time we were promoted. later BG dominated t2 finishing 1st for 8 weeks consecutively, beating arch rival SOR 8-0.
- BG are the server that put a stop to KN’s Rise of the Machines. beating them twice in week 6 and 7 of 2013 and are leading in week 8.
- BG love Zombie Coast. Beasts & Zombies get along well.

I’m not going to say its not fun to theorize about what could happen between server transfers. But I will say this:

Big servers come and go. They flash bright for awhile, then fade away. BG has survived two forays into Tier 1 and back again without losing more than one placement in the rankings each time. No other server has done this even once, or even by two placements. In fact, no server that has dropped from Tier 1 is even still relatively alive. There is a reason for BG’s tenacity and determination.

It is because of our a core of dedicated guilds that are the foundation of BGs WvW presence. We have an integrated communication system and work a as a team throughout all timezones. We know each other, rely on each other and share the common goal of excellence in WvW against whoever our opponent happens to be at the time. No one wants to leave what we have built and take a chance anywhere else. We are all on the same page here.

None of the main guilds are going anywhere. Thanks for asking though. :P

Each time BG lost, the bandwagon guilds leave but instead of getting weaker, this brings the remaining guilds closer together. Respect between guilds is there. Server pride is there. It’s looking good on BG.

We need to make sure they know there is only one way to t1 hell and thats through the gate of beasts at the zombie coast.

there were a few JQ players who took advantage of underground terrain glitch. I have got them recorded but dont want any drama so I havent posted the vdo here. Please let me know how to contact JQ council members. Thks.

re those who tried to suggest/dictate what BG should have done to max the rating gain etc. truth is we do not care so much about score but get into wvw each day to perhaps learn something new and have fun. wherever that takes us is secondary objective.

and we do not even care if TC& SOR team up, shake hand, make love whatever. as long as you are not green we will fight you. its rly that simple. we believe this is the only way to prepare and to be good enough if/when we get to T1. politic, propaganda, lobbying do help in obtaining better score for sure but its not a sustainable process. so thats not the route we like to take.

we want to win knowing we earn it.

Not sure what SoR is doing. Playing for second place perhaps? Dunno, the strategy does not make much sense to me. It seems SoR has a chance at first if they push BG down during their off hours.

Looks like SoR is content in trying to play for second and keep TC down. And this when BG has almost double the score of TC and SoR already have…

A hint for all the SoR folks.. Why exactly are you continually not hitting on BG when they are so far ahead? You’re making it easy on them by antagonizing your potential partners and letting BG bend us both over.

This isn’t what is happening. Unfortunately your perspective gets skewed when the only person responding to your actions in game is SoR. I guarantee you SoR spends as much time fighting BG as they do TC.

Point being, why? Take the effort you’re expending against TC and use it against BG and what happens? BG goes down. Sor, by fighting against TC when we’re both down almost 1/2 in points against BG, guarantee’s that BG will win again.

So yes, in essence, SoR is fighting for second place because the only way they stand a chance to close the gap on BG and actually win, is to not fight the only other group that is also fighting BG.

I guess if SoR is happy with always being the brides-maid and never the bride they can keep right on doing what they are now.

Truth is BG and SoR hate each other. If there is one who is having it easy its TC (in my opinion ofc). But looks like you guys want join this love hate relationship and make it 3 ways.

I believe it would be interesting and fun to have guild vs guild PvP mode.
team size may be 12vs12 or 16vs16. a guild can have more than one team represented. each game has 3 rounds. home, away and neutral. 2/3 wins to win the game (play home and away first and neutral last).

@ home, a team gets to choose its preferred map (new maps specifically for GvG). there are also cosmetic options for teams to customize their home map. the 3rd round to be played in randomly selected neutral map. Ranking system for this mode, we can consider other game models such as LoL elo or perhaps wow arena-like system.

Just an idea, ofc. Something along this line would be a great addition imo. Guild pride etc.

We’ve received a large amount of feedback about Legendaries becoming unreachable. This is actually a topic we’ve been tracking for quite some time. To ease your minds I am here to say that it’s something we’ve been watching and we’ve been listening to your feedback. You can expect to begin to see changes addressing the issue starting with our next build.

Thanks to Anet for listening to the players.

One thing Id like to add though. Some of the Legendary weapon skins are kind of meh when compared to the others. For example, Meteorlogicus looks no where near as good as Sunrise or Twilight. Its discouraging for some of us who want to pursue specific (favorite) weapons.

Not requesting a complete makeover. But some improvements would be much appreciated.
