Also, if the character is only level 1, you can always just test it and see if it really is that story option or not. I’d do it but I don’t have the slots, unfortunately.

I’m in the character creator right now and it’s turning the pupils red when not in the Zoom In mode. I zoomed in as far as the camera would allow in game and they were still red, and i’m flickering the day/night to make sure it’s not something lighting related. This is wierd :\

I just updated the game and haven’t been on in a while. I’m browsing the styles in the shop but my character model is not in the preview section

you can already send 50 items to an active friend.. this is a good anti-hack system I would think.

100g is a lot now, but later down the line the game will become quite dense with commanders. So I agree that we need something to signify them

you’re posting this at the wrong time since everyone is here raging over the ninja nerf. but I would be just as angry if they touched my sword (lol) or my newly acquired Longbow

If you gambled you didn’t do enough research. Something I suspect a great many people who are unhappy with GW2 are guilty of, actually.

the people who are “unhappy” with it already put in well over 100 hours.
I researched the game and found it was one of the few MMO’s for me. I am still enjoying it daily, but even if I quit tomorrow it was money well spent.

You should not play ranger. Every other class can use range weapons. I am a ranger that uses melee weapons, difference is I have a pet

I really shouldn’t have to turn off auto-attack to make a weapon viable.

I dunno. I want to like mh-sword on the Ranger, but it always feels so…awkward to use that I just end up keeping with my greatsword. For whatever flaws that weapon has, gs manages to feel far more responsive and less annoying to use.

I use it with auto attack and do just fine. if you know your enemy patterns, you have more than enough evade frames

I like the sword as well, but it’s not useful for pvp until it stops rooting you in place. Once it starts attacking you’re just helpless and you either wait for the monster to die or for you to die, permanent immobilize isn’t good.

it also sticks to your target, so it is still valuable in one of your wep slots. It also has very mobile abilities

as the only class who can really do it, if you sat on a spawn point and let your pet do all the work, would GMs be against that? It doesn’t fall under botting, but I feel they may call it “exploiting”

The sword is great and my favorite weapons. If you can predict and react you will be right at home and it’s some of the most satisfying gameplay ive had out of GW. i’m level 67 atm

I can’t even work a GS into my all melee build. Switching to it allows for at least a block in between my dodges, but it’s otherwise useless. You get an unreliable dodge 3rd strike. This would be okay if it compensated with dmg but a 1h sword greatly out dmges it, and even my ranged weapons do.
The leap is very good though

some runes will say does “X on hit” like, “5% chance to heal when hit”. Are we talking when we are hitting or when getting hit? It might seem obvious.. but ANet has a nasty habbit of condensing their text
also some runes just say “5% chance to _” without specifying ANYTHING else

that is just PC rankings.
My person fav this year is Xenoblade Chronicles
I think this game SHOULD win MMO category, and hopefully PC category aswell

Anyone disappointed with this? With leatherworking, there are rare recipes you can purchase and craft level 35, 50, 65 etc. I am just upset that ALL the recipes have the exact same aesthetic… this was cool at 35, not so much when making lvl 65 armor. They could have at least added something to make them differentiate each step up :\

Firefall looks great a sort of borderlands style MMO. F2p too, but i prefer ANet’s model rather than forcing cash shops down your throat

agreed with this. I am currently outlvling my friend but it is no issue! We can still play content and be challenged. I’m only level 60~ and in no rush to top out my character, or make alts. Ppl complain about no end game content when I doubt they have done half of the things they could be doing

Disagreed. I like to hear and see what other players are doing, and not feel like an NPC is not only there to serve ME. Plus this is the first game i’ve played where it isnt just self greets

if you have have a general location that will help. The thing is these mobs seem to show up EXCEPT when you’re lookin for them >.>!

I agree. It’s the mint that makes it tingle! Yes i’ve heard the hundreds of times, but that’s because i spend a lot of time in the sylvari craft stations. I don’t know all the other quoted lines because I have yet to really BE there at least for long. They don’t really bother me, better than silence

Gotta catch ’em all.. keep trying them and see which works with your playstyle

@Kasama it is a guide, but it’s still based on opinion. This just gets some of us newer rangers an insight to what a pet should be doing

when i need to “gtfo”, i just de-select my target, and i stop sticking. You can do this while you are dodging away or quickly after.
I love my sword, and I DO find that this mechanic makes things difficult, but I always thought it was a built in to the pros/cons. I try to time things accordingly and think ahead
P.S, your 2 and 3 skill both grant Evasion, pair it with a dagger like me and u’ve got 3 evasive skills..

A ninja skin, with all the log transforming dopple-ganging goodness. And just a badbutt(sensored) suit. Consider it!
