Last update made my sylvari ranger so perfect.
Finally the cultural armor was independant to my colours of my Skin and hair.
My sylari was a dream in Firmament and Gold
Now she is a “dream” in White, Gold and purple, u cant even see the Gold on the chest
Few days ago i wanted to thank you personally for that improvement but now you changed it back

i cant even understand why there is purple in my armor when my sylvari is White coloured!

Blind on warhorn #4

the ranger have less Access to blind. Okay we have the sun Spirit and our birds, but the birds are random and the Spirit effect is just local and easy to evade.
Warhorn #4 would be good for it to apply some seconds of of blind. The Animation of the attack itself is really good for blind.

Not just the lore about Largos! Tengu too.
As said in wiki the tengu were a strong candidate as a playable race, so can u tell us the Story of them? Why is the bazaar of four winds related to their government?

And when we will see the zephyrites back ingame? i wanna learn more of them.

Ranger:
•Wilderness 5 Natural Vigor. Reduced the increased endurance regeneration from 50% to 25%.

ist one of the best traits the ranger has and makes a ranger more viable because this great trait cost only 5 Points.
The ranger has big issues with doing as much dmg than other classes but we have the possibility to dodge them more than others what makes it more balanced. Thats my opinion.
When u u strongly believe the ranger can evade too many attackes, then u could decrease a little bit the evade time of sword and dagger skills 3 and 4.
please dont nerf the Thing rangers make Special, the cool survivabilty! :/

– Which builds do devs Play in PvP with Ranger (and yes you Need to say that a lot of devs Play ranger, most People cant believe it)
– The minds of the Balance Team on the current Ranger. I think Chapman already did it after Eagle Eye Bug few months ago.
– Do not allow that Player compare with other classes. I know you already stated it…but some People dont want to understand that every class has its own playstyle.
– Be serious against utopic Balance suggestions. This Community is difficult because they strongly believe…the ranger is the weakest of them all.
– Its absolute needed to Show in CDI the Balance notes for ranger. When the notes are good (probably even with a super duper wombo Combo mega giga buff a lot of ranger will say…“no. too weak”) we will less see People flaming around.
– You will probably know the most suggestions in ranger Forum, something like that “Druid ranger/Staff Ranger”, “Remove pet/Stow Pet for dmg buff” and state ur thoughts…and pls dont use anets favourite sentence “Nothing is off the table”. Please please not!
– The thoughts behind the ranger weapons. I think the most ranger hate themselfes…errrr the weapons of their class… Longbow and Axe main Hand for example

Bear F2’s can be blocked now. Kind of needed to happen though.

Entangle cooldown was reduced by 60%, but skill effect was reduced by 75%.

It’s a nerf and a buff. The other side of the buff is that on top of the recharge speed, traited, we now have a 48 second recharge elite that allows us to interact with the “on elite” runesets, which is a HUGE bonus.

i think we will be able to make own infusions when the others crafting Jobs scaled to lv 500 with far better stats then this u can buy in WvW with +5 stats.

I like the idea of leamas too, but i dont think anet will do this, how to work with Players who Plays with traits/skills/runes with +25% movement Speed? Speed increases do not stack.
I think infusions with Boon and condition Duration would be cool when anet decides to make no asc winter/giver stats .
But i think we will all see this with windersday update

funny when warrior with HS are crying about heals of other classes.
what u decribe is probably a beastmaster..a tank build.
while u have a passive effect with 400 per second. while we use an active effect from ca. 800 hp/s plus our signet with max. 125.
u try to nerf a already nerfed ranger build because ur buffed everyone hates build or better u couldnt beat it. thats no arguement.

alone the mind to compare totally different classes is not useful and makes no sense.
Warrior has another game design then ranger. deal with it.

and before u start again with ur minds on pet (QQ 30%, QQ they dont hit, QQ ranger is weak because i never won a 1v1…err we loose 30% of our damage) yes we know it, its an issue since headstart, but instead of crying around and hope that a Balance patch makes ranger OP too feel strong first time, some ranger learned their class and their pet mechanic. from this People u should learn instead of believing ranger class is the weakest class ingame.

Simply cant understand all the complaining about the DH. I think most of the people simply are used to win against guardians in 1v1 and now that they are competive useful everyone starts complaining, because its no instawin anymore.

Nerfing the Traps slightly would be okay, but True Shot is what makes DH.

For me personally scrapper is way stronger than DH is.

the philosophy of anets balancing is test it before the Player can test it.
For that u CANT expect that the CDI has in that short time direct Impact to this Balancing

Sad statement about the general state of the world

i think we should be able to upgrade asc armor to have additional stats.
not one upgrade to have all stat combinations just pro upgrade one new stat.
that could happen via mystic forge. maybe we put two armor pieces into the forge one ascended and one exotic with the new stats we want to have. the other two components could be ectoplasm, t6 dust, thermo reagents or one t7 material thats needed for that armor type (damask for light armor,…).
for example this formula:
zojja medium gloves+knight medium gloves+1 elonian leather square+100 thermo reagents
after that we will be able to choose outfight if we use berserk stats or knight stats like for legendary weapons.
it should be expensive to upgrade a complete armor set but not so expensive that we could craft a new armor for almost the same money.
we can upgrade an asc armor until we have all stat combinations.

i think its a cool alternative. we will not see legendary armor so the bonus feature of changing stats should be added in a different way.

triggering traps

Able to get Access to the Combo field

Okay its very typical for a trap to Trigger when a foe steps into it. But i think it would be really helpful for the ranger when we can activate them by ourselfes. My idea: we placing the trap and like after activating the Spirits we see a new Icon. When we press the trap again they activate, even without a foe Walking into it.
This would be very helpful in WvW for stacking Might or frost Aura and various Combos outside the wvw

idk, maybe the Balance Team thinks it is too strong, but i think its okay.

what annoys me on porting is, that it got a nerfin a late patc, which never happened
or in other words, i thought anet changed ports so, that u dont port, if there isnt a valid path
But why are Mes, thiefs, ele and guards still able to port for example in midpoint in niflhel to the upper field? Or in Khylo from the side of the tower up to the wooden bridge?
Others need to run seconds or up to a minute to get there and with a port in a second
that should not work when anet says it shouldnt work.

I am sceptical to spirit change
It makes spirit ranger extremly static. Ever saw a spirit ranger without spirits unbound? No? Because they r useless when they just stand there.
They are easy targets and woth even less hp than turrets they fast. When we activate them and need to move, they just chill there and we can do nothing about it. Necro minions follow. U can grap turrets. U can take banners. Spirits will chill to death before even the cd starts.
The ranger will loose one of the really few abilitys to safe stomp. The sun spirit active was a great way to blend them when we want and not when the raven feels like it.
The support of spirit ranger is halfway gone in my eyes. When u see while running to mid ur ally is about to get downed, u activate elite spirit and can heal him when u time it good. The rezz takes one second to activate. Now u need to run there. Activate the spirit in that small aoe of the heal and then press the active. That will cost at least 3s. In most cases ur ally is stomped.
A would be forced to be a point defender. The passives have a radous of 1000. Thats no problem. But the actives are more important and no brained player stand in their range to eat it.

For me when they really want to make it more immobile than banners, spirits need a lower cast time, a bigger active aoe and a way to transport or place them better. A la banner maybe

Why did anet decide to expand the races in gw2 if all they are going to do is release human themed skins?

They don’t. They have produced multiple outfits that are not just human culture themed.
It`s just that Humans are the standard “measurement” for creating new armors/outfits. so it`s easier to design them for humans in the first place.

There are outfits that have special models for all the races. such at the Cook outfit where every race has their own unique outfit for it.

and more important, everyone was asking for this in “what we want in gemstore” threads – the regalia of the gods

some of the better ideas:

Ranger:
Packmaster: a scepter as a whip to control 3 pets
Whisperer: scepter, more pet focus, dmg from pet
Bunny thumper: hammer and all u know

Engi:
Creationist: u build things that protect u from special dmg (close, range dmg etc.)
Holomancer: yeah holomancer like

Ele:
sword/mantra for bursty dmg ele
Conjurer: special skillset for each existing conjure weapon
Weaver: merge 2 attunements, sword and stances, the naruto kekkei genkai weave at you
Spellblade: u play piano with ur 1-5 skills, patterns cause effects

Thief
something with rifle and set marks
Arsonist: torch and midrange support
Vandal: torch and alchemy, use vials with stuff to get aoe
Lord of the underworld: warhorn(whistle) summone minions
Explorer: torch and utility support with glyphs
Shade: its like a reaper with another avatar

Necro
Sacrificial style, OH sword, glyphs, GM system like daredevil to define playstyle, use HP to heal minions, allies or supply ur shroud
Plaguebearer: seems like u get sick and cough around to spread the disease.
Ghostly themed, axe, life steal and stealth play style
Shaman: torch, unique anti-crit-boon, sacrificing HP and LF for effects
Soulguide: Torch, u guide ghosts and souls, support with using LF (my own post)

Warrior:
Weapon master: SB, they categorize their weapons and gain abilities for using them
some stuff with staffs, daggers and pistols

Mesmer
MH pistol, cause Ilya and Lyss
Minstrel/Phonomancer: WH and sound abilities, probably shouts

Guard
Something like Exorcist.yeah.

i wear the T3 armor
i cant understand how People could like it too have on the chest back another colour they didnt choosed and in the front their colours but cant see them so perfect and clear like yesterday
it was a good Change because you could dye your armor as you like, without spending hours to create your perfect sylvari, that Shows that the Skin before was wrong, now ist rolled back, how can somebody want this?

Elite specs are meant to fill a gap in play style of each class
to give them somehow a role they never had before without giving them too much of another class
That means giving the warrior stealth because they never had stealthy playstyle is the wrong direction
for example the core ranger had no respective support role, just a bit of AoE and less hard CC abilities, with the druid they got the healing role, AoE via some glyphs and CC too.

We should gather what each class lacks in game, without “first fix that before new elite spec” and then we could work around that

For example the necro lacks of support abilities, now we could collect ideas around supporting, like mine idea of soul guide or of another one who focused around the ghost idea with stealth, life steal and utility support.

it would be helpful to add the Kind of weapon to the recipes we can buy.
Would be against People who choosed the wrong recipe.

mini claw of jormag, mini shatterer and mini…plant dragon

i do not hate rangers.
i hate ranger players…or better players who think to play ranger
Player who unload their quiver with rapid fire while somebody is reflecting
Players who stand next to a downed ally in pvp or small group roaming and think “naah i kill dat three noobs solo and you can stand up agai… oh maaaan the three killed me in 3v1…ranger so UP”
Player who have no social honor and attack others in WvW who obviously doesnt want to fight and just want to complete the map (thanks to the mate who shot me from the Vista in middle fortress in Riverside Borderlands. i will find you my friend..i will find you..)

The poor truth is that i almost see all these poor properties at rangers and thiefes.
But thiefes are much more worse sometimes

i think when the tequatl weapons have black fog arounf it and the Halloween shield Skin black flames, a torch with black flames could be possible.
And when user of Howler have White fog around his Body, a torch with White flames would be possible to create.
I hoped the ascended torches could bring us this flames but okay, they are still cool

I would like to see a shield looks like a painting. Just like the painting at the AH in lions arch or the paintings in caudecus manor

Access to torment OR confusion

improving shortbow

I think one of These conditions would be cool for the ranger.
I think the #4 shortbow could apply torment or the #5 shortbow some seconds confusion. Not both at same time.
Maybe with MoC we can get some seconds of confusion on stun or some stacks torment on predators instict, Just some ideas where we can get it

I just ask for one of them.
Its really easy for a ranger to stack bleed, poison and burn. With confusion AND torment it would be too strong, condition overload.
