I’m looking for a WvW Staff/Well build since 90% of the time spent in WvW is AoE farming some silly zerg. However, I still want to ability to attempt 1v1 if I need it.

This seems really fun! I was thinking today how I’m enjoying spamming my bleeds in PvE but finding it relatively useless in PvP.

However, I’m mainly a WvW player. Any chance of tweaking this for us WvW guys? I really think a build such as this could do wonders when everyone is so focused on AoEing the kitten door down.

I’m doing the Test Subject Asura quest at the moment, level 26 mission, which requires me to access the Applied Development Lab in Rata Sun. As soon as I loaf the mission, the game just hangs on the Lab loading screen while the little yellow loading symbol goes around and around. I’ve relogged twice and still no fix.

Log onto Teamspeak. Start to banter train with the guildies and get myself a group invite.

Death, these are servers. machines. You have no physical loyalty to a server you randomly chose just because it’s where you first played.

If your fellow players want to slack and fail at WvW, the aspect of the game you want to excel at, then leave that sinking ship. Relish when you get the chance to loot bags from their corpses.

I have to laugh at this. hahahaha.

You’re a thief. You won’t even render when you come out of stealth, and you’ve got some serious burst DPS potential. Guardians are tanky as- with so much heals they can be a nightmare when stacking toughness/vitality.

You can’t have everything. You sacrifice range to be a melee class. Deal with it bro, or re-roll.

So what’ll be the point of fighting in the borderlands then? Just points? Ugh.

I’m really enjoying this match-up. Having serious battles over supply camps is great fun, such a better battle when your resources need to be managed effectively.

Yeah, would really like to know who we’ve got joining the fight! Heresy has also gained a few new members from our adventures in WvW. Soon we’ll be able to zerg with our guild alone, which should help for some serious attacking power when combined with ThUn, CIR and Xaos.

As soon as you join the squad of a commander you trust, all the other fools are removed from your map.

Problem solved.

Hopefully we can get another crack of the whip going over the next few days. Was sad to see such empty queues for Blacktides WvW maps. Still had a blast though. Definately have to idle on ThUn Mumble in future, made conveying info a hella’ lot easier.

Far Shiverpeaks have some of the top WvW guilds in EU

This made me laugh. Last night, EU prime time, Blacktide was averaging between 90/110 points and STILL these “top EU guilds” on FS were being slapped around by what little players we had online (No queues for any WvW maps was crazy!)

I don’t know if you all had a bad day, at once, at the same time, but the only server causing us real problems is Elona, and in my honest opinion, FS is completely overrated and the above quote proves it.

Sad face. I miss my game sound. Substituted it with Hans Zimmer though :P

So, in the middle of WvW, all my game sound goes away and I’m left with this ringing/alarm noise on a constant repeat coming from GW2.

I just cannot fathom the complaining about the “night capping”. Am I the only player who understands that my night-time and your night-time may not actually be at the same time? :O

I relish international servers.

I think Thief is the better choice if you just want to run around and drive your enemies insane with your constant stealth and hs spam.

Mesmer is probably better all-round, but they’re very very common imo.

Yup. [Ruin] are our biggest problem on Blacktide. The EU-daytime fights are incredible with territory going back and forth constantly, but [Ruin] have control for a great deal of the night until our Russian counterparts, [Xaoc] wake up.

That mechanic should no exist in WvW. The game type encourages large battles of players, and having your AoE only hit a max. of 5 enemies from a pool of x is a joke.

All this “oh no don’t swap server you’re a noob/glory hunter if you do” is total nonsense. Shut up and play the game.

People will come and go as the please, and they have the right to, they shelled out money to play the game the way they want to and if that means swapping servers to actually enjoy WvW then so be it.

Hopefully you’ll have teammates ready to jump on the poor Ele now that s/he has popped the cooldown!

But yeah, I came from Gunnar’s Hold with Heresy and the WvW here is far more entertaining. Teamwork is incredible and some of the fights have just been epic!

I feel your pain brah, I feel your pain.

Am I just a horrible player? I spent about 6/7 hours in WvWvW using a staff and a scepter/dagger and just found myself doing an awful amount of damage and generally being a disability to my team.

Spamming AoEs on the gate to attack/protect teammates felt like an absolute waste of time, and as soon as I was jumped while having my staff equipped I had to physically equip both my scepter and dagger from my hero menu before even attempting to fight back.

Is it my build that has me so underpowered, is it my gear? What can I do to, ya know, be useful? I’ve contemplated going for a healing spec but even that seems useless.

My GW2 launcher just refuses to log in. It just crashes while Windows attempts, in all it’s glory, to find a solution.

This only began occurring after some update was downloaded via the client, but has been going for a while now. Really don’t want to reinstall and have the same problem persist.
