I am currently awaiting my account to be unhacked, i didn’t play any betas nor have I

done any research other then GW2 main site.

I played for about 6 hours first night with a ranger before getting hacked, and had alot of fun.

The weapon skills took me a minute to relize they all had different skills depending on wep choice.

After trying the sword and horn combo I really really liked it.

My question is? Is that a viable combo for pvp? I would like to switch between the long bow and the S&H combo or is that a combo that wont compliment each other?

Again, I have done no research or nothing into what I would play this time around and avoided the beta’s I wanted to go into a game clueless for a change, but now that I must wait on CS for what sounds like might be days I figured I would atleast get some other players perspectives. Thanks

how do we know the reason you didnt get your in game items isnt because of a mistake you made when submitting whatever you needed to submit?

By all means peachie I agree….but I was told earlier by someone who didnt get their GW1 reserved name that my issue was only 4 days old and his was 15 so I should shut up…maybe that comment is still to fresh in my mind…..I am talking about any issue that keeps legitimate players from logging into the game

It was me that said to “shut the hell up” and that “3 days is nothing”. Anyway you don’t know what my issue is, you only know it’s a linking issue.

you can log into the game though
and i have read your previous posts it is about your name

and Archs is about his in game items

so go level and be happy

I dont want to down play anyones issue…but getting players back into the game who cannot log in is gonna be they’re top priority regardless

in 15 years of playing mmo’s this has never happened
my email and game password are not the same
my email was not hacked my game was
i have used countless different passwords over the years ( it is possible i have used the one i used for GW2 before)
i didnt click any links in my email about password changes in fact when i got an email about an attempted password change i opened a “submit question ticket” then
told Anet about it and yet i was still hacked

yet you wanna blame the players who CANNOT even log into their accounts for your delay in your problem being handled?

by the way I have been waiting 4 days now……but its my own fault…your right

Are you saying Anet was hacked?

That is the only other option if you are so adamant that it couldn’t possibly be your fault.

I dont know who’s fault it is except I know its not mine…read the updates…they are restoring 2500+ hacked accounts daily……

Oh and, Drintar, if I had received dome communication, I wouldn’t need to throw out ultimatums. Im threatening a chargeback because, guess what, I can’t use the product I paid money for and I do not even know why.

That’s unacceptable.

I feel the same way…I paid the money…and as of yet I have only recieved a few hours of service ( the lil bit i played before being hacked). I am trying to give them all the leaway I can. It would be real easy to call my CC and in a few days my $60 would be back. I didnt play any betas and didnt pre-order (until night before tuesdays launch). I dont even know if I would be missing a fun game even. I enjoyed the few hours i did play before being hacked…….but I am not enjoying dealing with customer support.

My wife had her EQ2 account hacked a few years back……she called them and after a few private/personal questions were anwsered by her she was back in the game within 15 minutes from start to finish. Sony is not exactlly known for good CS…so Anet might wanna take a look at their current CS situation and make some changes….quickly.

I am almost certain if your incident # is 120904 or 05 and you dont have a toon over lvl 25 it will be faster to start over…even if ya do have toons 25 plus they are gonna be naked and broke when you get them back and they already said they are not restoring items

Well my issue already dates back to April, cool huh? They told me to contact support closer to launch, which I did. It’s not because nobody was able to play 15 days ago that there weren’t issues already.

mine are from 8/30 and 9/02 I did get a response on the 8/30 one…but at that time they were just trying to get into my account on 9/02 they got it and i have not been able to log in since.

I was giving them until tommorrow to have mine fixed, I have already contacted my CC company and gave them a heads up on this issue and told them I would give the company a couple more days to straighten this up…….the operator knew exactly what charge it was before I was even done telling her my story…..she had already had several calls already about the same thing.

The first incident was an attempt to change my password, eventually they succeeded obviously. They cant get into my e-mail they only have my password.

If the “forgot password” function worked I could fix this problem myself, but of course not. The “change password” function is working obviously because they changed it, and now I dont know what they changed it to so I could re-change it. If these two functions were reversed I would not be using my wife’s account to post on here, and be playing my account right now.

Now if I got an e-mail asking me if I requested to change my password before, why didn’t I get one when they succeeded in changing it?

Why not allow the “forgot password” function to work?

This is the way it will go down. You will submit a ticket and wait 3 or 4 days for a reply. They may or may not retrieve your email at that time. If they don’t then expect a few more days of waiting. If they do then you will try and log on however you will be banned. At this point you will update and resubmit your ticket and wait an unknown amount of time to have your account unbanned.

then once you finally get back in to the game days and days later your toons will be naked and left with no money

its definately one big chinese cluster **** Luckily I had only played for one night and hadnt decided on a main toon yet so will only lose lvl 17 stuff at worst…but if i get my account back and then get banned then VISA will be getting a call to get my money back….I should have done that already and just started a new account but I decided to give them a few days to sort it out, the few days i can actually play seriously and had lined up for GW2 are already lost ( i had 48 hours set a side no kids, no work, no plans) so another day or so wont kill me but I feel the frustration

I am definately right there with you Skiter..I have never seen such a total failure on CS side of things in such a top tier title…its like VG all over again..only the game is something I wanna play but cant……instead of I can play but wish i didnt

I am just guessing…but one team is working on restoring hacked accounts while another is busy tracking down gold spammers and what not and while your account was in the hackers hands they did illegal things and the second team banned you right after the first restored you…just my guess

so we get hacked then the hacker uses our accounts to sell gold or transfer or whatever and we still end back up in the submitted ticket line? again? come on guys/gals you have to do better then that…I mean really

You are absolutely correct Skiter…in 15 years of playing mmo’s I have never had an e-mail issue like this one….I have had maybe 3 different emails in that span….I am guilty of using the same password for the past 3-4 games though and I think thats how I was compromised this time.

I see people talking about resetting thier passwords…thats all my account needs (hacked and password was changed 120902-013182) but that says unavailable for me.

Is it working for some and not others? I mean how did my account get hacked without that working seeing how my email address still shows as good? The last/only night I was able to play I tried to change password and it was unavailable, but the next morning my password was invalid. what gives?

I included all the info requested for my hacked account on sept2 :serial code,original e_mail, new e-mail, last 4 of credit card…ect but not any of my characters names…i added the display name i thought i chose…will that be an issue?

also i am guilty of multipul submissions of tickets…..sorry i was at a lose for information
