for great justice
I… Will… Never… Understand… How… People… Can… WHIIIIINE… So… Without knowing even a small fragment of the information.
Come on now… Stop the salt and at least WAIT for the information, then whine all you want because then its at least a bit more justified.
I was mostly joking, I don’t even play thief. It was just when I heard rumors of rifle thief, I immediately thought of the commando April fools, and thought it would be funny and cool if anet made it a real thing
I am extremely disappointed with Anet. We get this lame spec instead of what we’ve wanted all along.
Because the paragon title already exists, and guardians are paragon + monks to begin with.
Personally, I like the concept of it, because it reminds me of pathfinder’s inquisitor, but I like my guard being a Frontline tank
+1 for firm bottoms and chiseled abs
This is escalating very quickly. We’ve already reached Human Rights and stuff..
Is this really a games forum? Or is this all a big joke? Heh.
to the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody
Caught in a flame war, with no escape from the smoke
It’s either people who are easily offended, or people trying to do a prank. I can’t tell the difference
Are people really being offended, because it’s basically impossible to tell.
Legendary Kormir stance for reverants
The difference is, as you correctly pointed out: Glint was FREED of Krallkratoriks will. Find a way to ensure the Sylvari won’t just murder all of us while we sleep, and I will gladly fight side by side with them again, but for now, there is no such way, and the closer they come to Mordremoth, the more of them will fall under his controll, therefore they have to be kept as far away from Maguuma as possible, for the greater good of all!
In game, the failed assault happened maybe an hour ago. We have no idea the mental state of any of the sylvari, whether some turned or didn’t, whether they’re still in high murder mode or not, ect. For all we know, maybe it was only members of the soundless who turned, we don’t really know. All we know is that a number between “enough to take down the fleet from the inside with the element of surprise” and “all of them” turned. If it turns out that the Pale Tree is able to easily shield all the sylvari whom haven’t rejected the dream when she hasn’t been recently attacked by a dragon, then we have little to fear.
They’ve already revealed it. Just youtube “guild wars 2 commando”
The moment ANYTHING attacks my village, I’ll move.
“I swear, when are the seraphs going to do something about those centaurs? This is the 12th time they’ve attack Nebo Terrace this week!”
Sylvari are born immoral creatures. Case in point.
Caithe: finds out she is a dragon minion from Wynne and that the centaurs were killed needlessly. Wynne begs Caithe to kill her before Faolain comes back and tortures her. Now, Caithe could have joined forces with Wynne and either killed or captured Faolain. Does she do that? Noooo. She immediately sticks a knife in Wynne without a second thought.
Evil. All Sylvari are evil veges.
https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/anecdotal
Also, she totally hesitated, and only killed Wynne because she begged Caithe to.
Oh please. If I was forced into a situation where the choices were, kill an innocent person or join up with that person in order to fight against someone who was planning to torture her and who had killed others without provocation, people who were friendly and not carrying weapons, I don’t think I would be stabbing to death the innocent person, hesitation or no hesitation, (unless I was a coward, that fits also).
Wynne was only begging to be killed because her information was to terrible for someone like Faolain to know. Remove Faolain and she no longer has that problem. After that, get Wynn to the Pale Tree and let her decide the next step since she knows more.
And then you would have to explain why Faolain and all the second born she brought went ‘missing’ to the general populace, and the reason it happened is because Wynne knew some terrible secret. That’s just begging for civil war.
And before you say that civil war happened anyway, Caithe, at the time of stabbing, would have no way of knowing how much traction the nightmare court would have in the future.
Also, remember that Caithe and Faolain are/were in love.

Many of these statues don’t have high priest connected to them and Zhaitan was able to damage these too.
That’s because it would control THE high priest and THE temple. When we would defeat the high priest and take the temple, the statues would stop being evil.
Because it never controlled any of Abaddon’s priests or temples.
I don’t. It would feel silly if my lvl 80 who’s conquered Orr to go to Queensdale and get beaten by some bandits.
I’m sorry, but did we tell you to not fight Zhaitan because your dead bodies could be fuel for its armies? How would you feel if we locked you in cages when the Pact pressed on Kralkatorrik merely because you can become branded?
You had no trouble trusting us with suicide missions in Orr, yet now we’re the ones that can be corrupted, you want us to ignore our Wyld Hunts?
If we’ve learned anything from fighting Zhaitan, it’s that each of us has strengths, but also weaknesses, and only united can we win, which your kind has a habit of forgetting, or did your plan of ‘isolation until the vines come from the shiverpeaks’ have a part were you swoop in from the flank and save the day that you forgot to mention? The problem is not that your race can be corrupted by the dragon, alsmost every race can be corrupted in some one, be it by dying, beeing exposed to Krallkatorik or the strange worshippingtransofrmation for jormag.
The problem is that you are born as a dragonminion and only some of you managed to
stay free of your true nature until now. Now, you have already gone back to your roots and it annihalated the packt, simple said, you became corrupted by becoming normal. Would we still allow branded to fight at our side? Take the orrians back home with us? No of course we wouldn’t therefore why should we let you be an exception from these rules, now that we know you belong to the dragon?
A charr Tribune had no trouble trusting Glint if it meant taking out a dragon, despite the fact her aid could have been a trap, and she did far less to earn his trust. I also am not saying that those sylvari whom have become corrupted should have a picnic with all the pact’s important strategist and logistical officers, but rather those who’ve shown no signs of corruption shouldn’t automatically be treated as any more of a liability than any pact fauna during the assault on Orr. And yes, there are such sylvari.
While your race may have done good deeds in the past, your roots are evil, and no good will blossom from a rotten plant!
This war is almost lost, even though it is just begining, all because of your kind, with the pact destroyed, the orders in chaos and most of our forces lost, while we can’t trust a fifth of the survivors.
You want to proove your innocence? Turn yourself in so that you can’t harm those around you, willingly or not.
You want to fight Zhaitan? Dig up ore in the mines and join the supplyproduction in our regulated workcamps.
Once all of this is over, you might be able to live a free life again, but for now, only a supervised sylvari in a controlled environment is a good sylvari.
If we want to win this war, we need a strong army, but who should provide this army? The Asura? They couldn’t even figure out how to protect their Waypoints. The humans? Their race lost more ground to the dragons then any other! The Norn? They don’t have armies! No, there is only one race able to handle this crisis, the Charr!
With Baelfires death, the survivors of the flamelegion are leaderless, now is the time to unite all the Charr beneath a single leader, a great Khan-Ur, and who else but the wielder of the Claw could claim this title, the great Imperator Smodur the Unflinching!!! With our support, even Bangar Ruinbringer would have to bend his knee in front of the iron Imperator, meaning for the first time in 300 years, the 4 legions would stand united, so no foe shall stand against us!
Trust in Charr, not dragonminions. Trust in iron, not false gods!
- Karnar Ironclaw, Centurio of the Iron Legion.

Is the fact that Sylvari were literally made to be dragon minions known to everyone? As of the end of lw season 2, only the Tree, Caith, us and DE 2.0 know about it.
And before you say “Everyone saw them turn!”, it’s called dragon corruption, the same reason we still trust the Norn despite sons of Svanir.
Hopefully Anet has the sense to include a 1h main hand weapon with the spec. Hopefully. If not, then everyone has the right to be rustled.
Well it can’t be literally all vertical, as that isn’t how gravity works. There will obviously be flat, level areas, but it seems like it will be more vertical than other maps in the past.
I play almost exclusively Sylvari because I can’t think up any cool and unique looks on other races
I can never decide between crafting a legendary, ascended, or just buying ascended stuff
I play a guardian, but I don’t jump into the middle of the enemy zerg because jumping into a group of ~20 people just seems dumb to me
So by your logic a guardian must stand vigil over one thing/person for they’re entire career, or they wouldn’t be a guardian.
Also engineers need to make they’re own blue prints for everything, and have a mechanic make their stuff for them.
And thieves are defined solely by the fact they steal things, and nothing else.
tl;dr You’re much to literal
It’s going to be wrecker’all
Blindly obeying someone goes against everything they stand for, and they would need to be complete hypocrites that care for nothing but causing suffering to do so.
I’m willing to be all my ecto’s, tier six mats and my exotics that we’ll have to kill a lot of them before we get to the dragon

Yes! And when we get sexy male armor, we know what we must do.
(The last half is a bit of a jest, but still, +1 for universal sexyness)
You know how a human traveling through Orr could be like “That’s a statue of my god covered in coral!” and all the other races would just see a pretty statue? I’m imagining something sort of similar
Yes lackluster indeed. Gamers these days have really high standards for quality content.
Angry Joe hits it good. Start near 7:30 mark
You do know he basically is saying the antithesis of what you are. He doesn’t like the the LS and, while underwhelmed by the announcements, said most of the things should have been there since the beginning, which make this x-pac sort of necessary. He also says you should have regular expansions for a successful game.
…
OH! I get it now! I finally understand
great job, 8/8 would rage at again
If reverants can channel Ogrim, they’re required to use hammers.
But can’t they summon the skills of spirits regardless of weapon in hand?
Seriously… It hasn’t even been a year since LA’s destruction and people are forgetting about the best NPC there? May everything you buy be stupidly overpriced
Picture this.
You buy a ew $60 game , you get through 3/4 of the game with tons of lore. The last 10% is blocked off behind a pay wall.
Yes! How dare Anet charge money for the content they create! I’ve already gave them money a few years ago, so now I should have access to everything!
/sarcasm off
If reverants can channel Ogrim, they’re required to use hammers.
I went back and highlighted two specific areas where I stated I didn’t “know everything” about the new expansion. Before you are rude and condescending to someone you might want to read for comprehension and not for how to be the biggest ….
So people shouldn’t make rude and condescending remarks about your rude and condescending remarks? Gotcha.
I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist the sarcastic generalization and apologies for that. However, just like you just said, no one should be making calls on its scale before we see it, neither you nor me. The Maguuma jungle could be about the size of Lomar’s pass, or Tyria. You don’t know. I don’t know. Kittens, from what Gaile has been saying, the devs themselves might not know were they want it to end.
Guys, we should listen to this guy for sure, he has played the expansion and knows exactly how big it is and completed everything in it! He played it so he knows there’s no new dungeon or raid. He has definitely seen every new guild hall and logged hundreds of hours in the wvw and pvp maps so he knows that they don’t even come close to comparable with the content we’ve got in living story. Thanks for your insight op!!
I really wish I could up vote you more than once.
While I agree that it’s weird to be in a dungeon, run past all the trash, and huddle in a corner to kill the boss, making the trinity would absolutely destroy basically everything combat related in the game.
Imagine doing a bit of ps as a dps, where you have to wait for the tank npc to get aggro before engaging. Being a healer in those massive boss fights in the ls and ps would be numbly slow. And it would be really annoying to not be able to do a group event because there isn’t a healer and/or tank near by.
I haven’t played gw1, but I’m willing to bet money that it lies away from Maguuma.
Maybe Bubbles will terrorize there, and we’ll have a reason to go there (which I actually hope for), but until then, keep hoping.
It will probably be like this going forward.
Expansion, followed by some ls to tie up loose ends, add side stories, and get our focus towards the next dragon, followed by an expansion
I think that was the point of Gavin. To be a really nice person, but then you realize he wants to horribly abuse a creature of pure hope to brainwash people away from the pale tree towards a group of people who horribly abuse people to brainwash people away from the pale tree
Revenant Legends - Who would you channel?

Ogrim, even though I don’t know who he is.
I will also use a hammer and nothing else.
You will find me in LA, selling things at amazingly low costs.
The way it was presented, I think a class will keep there weapons, and even weapon skills, but the new weapon is more keeping with the themes of the spec.
I just don’t think I would call all of these features expansion worthy comparing it to other MMO expansions.
Exactly! This “expansion” is pretty anemic even when compared with EOTN let alone an expansion from a current AAA mmo.
So a new class, a new way of playing all existing classes, a new way to WvW, a new way to sPvP, guild halls, a area Anet keeps saying will be really really big, and what amounts to leveling up when you’re level cap can’t compare to WotLK? I find this weird, especially since we’ve yet to see how extensive the things are.
Malyck is a sylvari not born of our pale tree. Now that we know that sylvari are… dragon minions (vomits), how is it he isn’t shouting the greatness of Mordy and killing everyone? The playable sylvari are protected by the pale tree, which must have been purified of its corruption by a series of unlikely events. His tree is also pretty darn close to Mordy, so why haven’t we seen sylvari from his tree that are controlled by the elder dragon?
He had the best voice acting in the entire game.
Ok, as everyone knows, stealth is annoying in every way, especially balancing. Making it have its intended effects, and no one can find a thief ever. Nerf it, and thieves cry an unending river of tears. So I came up with a sort of rework for thieves. I am not qualified in anyway to talk about it other than I am literate, have internet access, and have played tf2 (I’m drawing most of my ideas from the spy), so feel free to say how bad of an idea this is. Anyways, let’s get this train wreck going;
Firstly, when a thief takes damage whilst in stealth, they appear to enemies the same way they see themselves for a moment or so, a see through predator stealth shape. This doesn’t apply to con damage because then poison would be the worst thing ever of all time. The thief couldn’t be target-able, and no info would display about them, it would just be a way for someone to know where they are.
Thief mains will realize just how devastating this would be, as that’s basically their trump card burnt up. So how would I help the thief in this horrible situation? By nerfing their damage, of course! Just a little, like maybe 5-10 percent.
Now, I’m sure your pitchfork is at a fine point know, and you’re ready to burn the bridge I’m obviously hiding under, but I do have a perfect buff for thieves. When ever they are poking the spine, a.k.a behind their target, they’ll do more damage. I’m not saying “hire a masseuse tomorrow”, no, I mean “Every chiropractor’s wet dream and worst nightmare” levels of damage.
Why? because thieves are not suppose to be slippery, that’s mesmers. Thieves are suppose to be assassins, waiting for the right moment to end their target, and not allowing them to fight back, because if the target can fight back, you dun goofed and should die. A fight against a thief should go one of two ways:
1) The thief sneaks up to the target (probably with stealth), and burst them like a gusher. If the target survives, they’ll need to pop at least the vast majority of their “Oh kitten!” buttons to even hope to get away, and even then the fight is slanted in the thief’s favor
2) The thief runs up to the target and tries to face stab because strategy is hard, gets smacked like a kitten, stealths, then hopes they can dodge-roll all the abilities their opponent if firing off, because if even one hits, it’s a long way to tipperary.
And that’s it. Please feel free to criticize, whether constructively or not.
Hold up, you mean after 250 years and being razed twice, a place changes?!
Sarcasm aside, there’s only so much you can do when you refuse to move forward. If you really want gw1’s LA, log on to gw1. If you want to see what becomes of LA in 251 years of Tryia’s history, play gw2.
This is a good idea, also have a small circle were you attack Teq so everyone stacks there, making it easy for turret buffs
Something people should note; Orr wasn’t every human’s ancestral land, the old kingdoms of humanity weren’t buddy-buddy-let’s-drink-like-Norns-together, they regularly went to, often just because some of their guilds wanted something another guild had. I wouldn’t be surprised if it Arah was sacked by the Kyrtains and Ascolnians several times.
It’s also not as if important places have changed hands, Lion’s Arch was once the CAPITAL of Kryta.
That being said, humans should have the right to pilgrim no matter what, and the charr can’t be allowed to desecrate anything.
Except that there’s that magical ritual to help Orr recover. We really don’t have any yardstick on whether that’s going to take years, decades, or centuries to spread to the entirety of Orr, but the Artesian Waters themselves are definitely cleansed.
Nor do we know the exact effects the cleansing has. It could be a magic terraforming spell and I’m completely wrong, it could just take Zhaitan’s radiant energy from things like the temples, or it could even be some sort of opposing force spreading its ‘pureness’ in opposition and make another grove that may or may not have a pale tree and contain life native to there but not to pre cataclysm Orr. Although what ever happens, we probably won’t see it because it will a few years at the very least, and the ‘demilitarizing’ will take several years before it settles to whatever it will be until the next disaster hits it.
