I was considering bying myeslff a moleten jetpack off the tp as a long term investment but i was looking closer at the season 1 memory box and the black lion dosent seem to suggest that its limited availability anyone know for sure if this item is here to stay or will it be removed from the gem store ?

The unlimited charges are not a good thing sure on the surface it sounds good but when you realise that they reduced the duration the weapon lasts to 30 secs you quickly realise that they only removed the 20 charges coz it it would have very quickly become apparent that you cant actualy use all 20 charges in 30 secs so this is one of those scenarios where more is actualy less

This change make no sence you claim you want us all to keep hold of conjured weapons longer but you nerff the summon duration from 60 seconds to 30 seconds and give us unlimited charges
NEWSFLASH even at 20 charges you are unlikely to be able to use them all in 30 seconds so makeing charges unlimited is POINTLESS all you have done is screwed over the summond weapons coz now when i want to pick up that second frost bow off the ground its not there anymore coz of that dumb 30 sec duration on conjoured weapons
and that dumb buff from the auto attack is pointless i lose more dmg than i gain for staying on frost bow rather than following my usual rotation
and then theres the nerffs to dmg skills you nerffed scepter you nerffed dager you nerffed overload air you nerffed overload fire and justify it by saying you dont want tempesat to be top dps.
It all adds up to the simple fact Anet has lost sight of what the class is supposed to be if you want to normalize our damge then you should normalise our health pool to be more inline with other classes as well while your at it coz its unfair to give tempest every penealty in the game and not reward them for it coz thats exactly the direction you are takeing us tempest is suposed to be high risk high reward all i see is high risk and in your own words normalised damage

get your act together plz im so sick of these awfull balance patches constantly feeling like an attack on the tempest again and again and again

players have ben repairing walls since the game launched long before there was ever a bar for participation i dont see why you seem to think participation is necacery to get players to do whats needed
i repair walls/gates when i need to and participation dosent cross my mind i do it coz i want my team to win. as for dollys those arent the issuse i couldent care less about participation for that fact i think you should get it for escorting dollys
you seem to be missing the point that we curently have 8 players doing NOTHING but repairing the same wall over and over again and absolutely nothing else for hours now they dopnt fight they dont rev player they dont even defend when we are under attack they are total scumbag leeches who watch you die and dont give a kitten about the team and couldent care less we have zero supply in SM as long as they get there participation

theres nothing stoping players repairing walls just coz you dont get paticipation for it you will still repair when its sneeded the diferance is you wouldent just stand there doing nothing but repairing a wall that is constantly being trebed all day long and prety much afking your way to the legendary back item

With the release of the wvw legendary back item we have seen a huge boost in wvw numbers and as many real wvw players know most of these players are core pve players and i know theres alot of resentment towards these players but they arent the problem i came here to bring up the leeches im reffering to are the one’s standing around in SM who are going afk and comeing back every 5-10 mins to do nothing except repair a wall and then they go back to afk’ing for another 10 mins
these players are a the worst kind of pve player one who comes to wvw with no intention of participateing and take up a spot on the map that a real player could fill
currently im scotung sm on my server and we have around 8 players doing this atm they wont even rev a player a few feet away from them when its safe they simply ignore downed players and go repair the wall then go afk again
plz consider removeing participation from repairing walls to prevent this form of leeching we dont want these kind of players in WVW wasteing supply when theres a que full of real players waiting to get on the map

Easy way to sort this just make it so eng turrets ony target mobs you have targeted so semi afk players wont get squat unless they activly make an effort then its no longer an afk farm and other players cant complain
and once they actualy have to start makeing a effort they will all move on to some place else coz lets face it there are other more profitable areas in the game to earn money if you are actualy playing and not siting afk

This disscussion puts me in mind of alot of things players said wouldent happen but in the end did happen coz players wanted it enough such as spliting skills between pvp/pve witch we are now seeing start to happen more or first person camera mode what about this talk of mounts in upcomeing expansions.
Point is Anet have a tendancy to cave in to player demands if we complain enough so i wouldent say its an imposability tho persoanly i think its a silly idea and agree its a waste of resources just like fps camera was and mounts if we do end up geting them :^P
spliting pvp/pve skills was a great move tho.

I would like To see an aura menu added in general not just for legendarys so all aura’s become unlocked and we can place them on ourselffs or turn them off if we want.
Not sure I would put legendarys in that catagory tho I’m more thinking along the lines of nightfurey winters presence koda’s warmth ghostly infusion ect too many to mention.
my bigest concern would be if they limited how many we could place on ourselffs coz personaly im runing about 7 aura effects atm not counting legendarys.

allso plz make the vending machine in the loby area of sab act like the moto vendor or at least allow us to refine our baubles in to bauble bubbles i realy hate haveing to leave sab and back all the time with a bauble carry limit

p.s on a side note a tip for anyone who gets stuck i discoverd you can dig for bunnys to kill you in that situation hope it helps any of you who find yourselff in that predicament :^)

couple of small things that would be realy nice for SAB especialy tribulation mode

1. a grace period to re enter the instance upon DC

2 add the /GG command for when we get stuck so we can kill our selffs and dont have to lose progress

3 spiked boot upgrade for better traction on ice tho mebey the patch will have dealt with the ice isues havent tried z3 yet but its still a posiblity for even greater control for w2z3 and any potential future maps with ice within SAB

As a tempest im thourghly disapointed but ill try to refrain from complaining about that as its probobly all been said allready
but that aside my thoughts on this patch and many like it is it that it is just one big waste of time and assets. today we saw the tempest recive nerfs and buffs and when i look at it i cant help but think they are just fixing alot of the dmg thet done in the last round of nerffs by the blanket nerff to all CD’s
im sure many of you have seen this in these balance patches time and time again where Anet nerff something one month only to later down the line swing back to the idea of buffing it a little all this effort and they still havent got it right thats why i see balance patches as a large waste of resource for the most part
the problem i think realy stems from the fact that gw2 is not the type of game you gain lvls and new skills like other mmos witch i see as a big chance for other games to reabalance classes and bring new stuff to the table. HOT was the best thing to happen to this game to give us all new skills and change things up and move on from old builds/playstyles we each found our roles in raids and along come these balance patches to throw everything up in the air
im not saying we dont need balance patches now and again but Anet need to think more about progression in the game moveing on to new content/skills instead of dweling on old ones
imagine if they had not botherd with this balance patch and put that resource in to the head of the snake chapter mebey we would not have seen so many reused assets

its not confirmed yet but many speculate that the next stage of the colection will unlock recipes for precurssor armour witch makes sence since if you want more than one set of armour you will need to have the ablity to craft extra precurssors however it seems we will only ever have 1 choice of what experimental armour skin we can unlock witch in its selff is not a componenet for makeing legendary armour

i have mixed feelings about the op’s coments i kinda agree and i kinda dont but one thing i can agree on is that it is dead content and un-rewarding
i dont have any isues with the JP personaly but then im one of those players whose made alot of money selling it and can do it with ease first time every time prety much
as a full zerk tempest i can solo stuff and many of the events there but why would anyone want to as the only thing worth a kitten is the bloods and the drop rate is not good enough for the time investment i could do some tarir multi loot and just buy the bloods and get more faster
as to guild events i stoped doing those like 2 years ago bit prior to that my guild never shy’d away from the mission and we used to get everyone through with a minimum of fuss
as to the karka queen she gets killed all the time prety much i dont see a problem there unless you arive late and get in a dead map
yes the wp’s are usualy allways contested but i dont find that to be a big deal tbh just takes me an extra minute to get some place
yes there is no conection to story rewaly except old irelevant dead storyline and sry Crysto but the consortium dosent mean squat to most players anyone ariveing around season 2 or there after probobly dosent even know who they are, hell ive played the game from launch and fail to see there significance on the storyline
as far as map comp is concerned it certainly dosent help map population when players have allmost no reason to go there anymore

shuting down the content is not a good idea coz clearly some players do still think theres some reasons to go there i fail to see why tho other than killing the karka queen witch if i remeber right you needed for at least one of the HoT legendarys
personaly like you i have no love for this map beyond selling the ocasional jp so if you feel the same way just dont do it theres no reason it should bother you if you just put it out your mind

ive got aprox 18 legendarys (lost count tbh) and i have never goten those when makeing clovers least not that i can remeber guess im one of the lucky ones

*Edit then again i did go through 30 combines to get 10 clovers on my last one useing the x10 recipe so lucks gota run out at some time i supose

1. Greater expansion of the bank collection tab
I’m sure most of you would agree there’s allot of items that should have been added to the collection tabs along time ago I feel like largely the collection tab is an under utilized feature in the game
2. tonics on the hero panel
I have so many tonics in my bank just eating up space nuff said its high time Anet provide a way to store these tonics efficiently if you expect us to keep collecting them otherwise its wasted content for the most part I stopped getting tonics about HoT coz I didn’t want to spill over in to a 3rd bank tab
3. A keyring for key storage in the wallet
With increasingly more and more content with metas involving keys this is a no brainer all our silverwastes/drytop/HOT keys should be neatly stored in the wallet to save space and allow access for all chars on our account

WOW just WOW so much nerfage thanks anet for screwing all us eles over its all in the wording of the patch notes you sought to normalise the dps of the tempest so basicly now we do around the same dmg as any other class BUT with still have all the penalty’s GG anet
tested my dps rotation on the golem 9k dps loss from last nights test as someone who mains ele this is a massive demoralising hit to me and seriously has me considering quitting the game coz clearly you don’t seem to understand we are supposed to be a physically weak class with high dmg output I don’t feel like this is the case any more we are now just a weak class with average dmg so why even bother playing it at all when I could just play something else that dosent get 1 shot downed everywhere I go

i dono about you enko but i have made 3 of the new HoT legendary s and between a little light farm here and there and making my ascended mats daily I only paid around 2k gold for each legendary if that I somehow doubt I could even cover the 4800 T6 mats for that cost nm the rest of the stuff remember these recipes are superposed to be made once per piece if what I have read is true

so who else is feeling let down and lied to with the latest patch specifically regarding statements made by Anet suggesting that legendary armour would be finished by the time the 3rd raid wing was added
well we have the 3rd raid wing why cant we craft legendary armour yet ?

everything about legendary armour and what Anet has had to say about it seems to be total bull to me first it started when Anet miss lead players by implying we would be getting legendary armour with HoT only to tell us they would be adding it over time, to me this came across as an underhanded sales tactic
also another thing that’s bugging me is that we where told crafting a set of legendary armour would be comparable in price to making a legendary weapon, well I have seen some of the recipes that players have discovered with some experimentation and shared on redit and they are insanely high demand on t6 mats among other things with a high cost or insane grind way more than any legendary I haven’t added it all up yet but I’m estimating around the cost of 2-3 legendary weapons.
Tho i would point out these recipes players have discovered don’t work yet and may not be the final recipe involved so there is still time for Anet to do the right thing, time will tell but if the discovered recipes are indeed true then it means we have been lied to again.
i have no doubt Anet probably worded there statements like a politician so they have some wiggle room for failure but it all leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a low respect for them and the way they do things at times.

ok ive goten this thing twice now and am trying ot build wahor for my ele but the problem is every time i get one it ends up adding it to a random weapon spec colection i have unlocked but not the one im actualy working on

this just dumb how many of these things must i kill before it finay adds it to the colection i want ?

i do run zerk on my tempest in the junge and get along just fine, you just need to pay attention

This. Ele survivalbility never came from the base stats anyways, it’s because of the synergies in your build, so if you play it properly, you should be fine.

There might be reasons why we would want ele hp to be buffed…your complaint is not one of them.

Title says it all , anyone else feel like elese realy have the short end of the stick when it comes to HoT pve content ?
i run zerk ele mainly but allso alternate pvt ocasionaly but when sharpshooters and snipers are hiting me for 12.1k dmg and my base hp is 12.5k zerk or 15k odd in soldiers it honestly makes no diferance whatsoever i still seem to die in two hits from most mobs and ocasionaly geting downed in one hit.

im sure someone will say something like learn to dodge or use your skills better ect but when you are doing evets and are surounded by 6-8 mobs at a time with events that last 5-10 mins sooner or latter you run out of skills and dodge
i dont care how good you are you simply cant dodge everything
ele base hp was decided long ago based on old world content when mobs did a lot less dmg and more and more as Anet push the dificulty scale higher and higher us eles are strugleing to stay on our feet in these events simply coz we cant take a hit

for me this is realy frustrateing and for the first time ever realy has me considering changeing my main we dont like being downed in one shot its just a cheesy mechanic that no one likes i dont see this happening ot other clasess why is it considerd ok for the ele ?

well i got in again on my min who was in tangled depth at the time but it loged me in at auric basin instead i thought i would see if i could get back to exploreing tangled depths and when i tried ot zone in it dodnt work QQ
guess if you keep trying yul get in eventualy tho id be carefull zoneing around the map

with no holy trinity the downed state is what keeps us going its that buffer between life and death more so than your hp bar at times removeing it would be bad i think

i just decided to check this out this morning to see the rewards and the effort id have to put in and without doing a single event i decided not to even bother trying. the main reason for this was the gold cost included with the skins
i don’t wanna grind for days to end up spending money and coming out with less than i started with for a skin that quite honestly i just don’t care about
that and the fact there is zero AP to be had in the whole thing

p.s if this was in anyway aimed at new players its a fail coz they cant afford 10g and if they can im pretty sure there’s a ton more worthwhile stuff to be spending there money on

actualy i kinda agree alot on what Noxicon.4956 has to say particularly about the point he makes about the quality of the product , i often ask myself is Anet even bother testing this stuff before release as prety much anything they add to the game has some bug or another , some small and others masive flaws in there design
ultimatly if Anet done a better job testing this stuff and put out a working event chain then there wouldent be this amount of toxicity in map chat
the problem is as long as this stuff is considerd free content then Anet have no obligation to meet a certain lvl of quality they can just knock out any patch they want whether it works or not and deal with it later witch seems to be there way of thinking and sadly has made this event a total blunder in my opinion coz they have realy shown the new players what we can expect from HoT and thats loads of bugs and loads of toxic QQ in map chat
but remember Anet we are paying for HoT this time so we the customer expect you to meet a certain lvl of quality

thing to keep in mind this not not realy the mentality of most players
in fact the majority of us are being calm and lvl headed and not saying anything in map chat and in fact these cry babys are realy the the minority its just that this is the type of thing that makes them more vocal
its easy to find yourselff agreeing with them and joining in on map chat when you are frsutrated i dare say there isnt a single person who posted on this thread who can honestly say they have never flamed in map chat at one time or another myselff included (kitten those pve pugs on EBG curse you all) anyway try to see the big picture there are more players holding there tongues than you realize

personaly im quite happy with my karmic converter i like the exchange rate of karma vs obsidian reward you basicly geting 1 extra shard for the cost and some days you get mid/large bag of obsidian witch can contain 5-10 shards at the same price
since im capable of making 1 legendary a month atm with my current income in game i find this a realy good way of keeping those obsidian shards coming in cheap and easy

It’s something you want but don’t need. It’s not a new tier

many players would argue the same thing about ascended in fact i know quite a few players who haven’t even bothered to make ascended yet coz its stat gain benefit is so insignificant
so anyone who made it didn’t relay need it they wanted it coz i think we can all agree that you can manage just as well without it using exotic armours
i think too many players are hung up on the fact that theres no better stats on it and compleatly missing the fact that this armour IS better than ascended simply because of the option to change stats
no matter how i look at it i see this as an upgrade and the next step up on armour quality

ok im prety anoyed at legendary armour for a few reasons and this is proly the main reason why
Anet promised us there was not going ot be a new tier of armour many times on the run up to HoT release
now many of you are proly gona say legendary armour has no better stats than ascended and there for is not is a new tier of armour
myselff i dont agree with that, way i see it legendary armour will have the ability to switch stats and that alone makes it a higher quality therefor it is indeed a new tier of armour
and this anoys me because a couple months back i crafted good infusions with +5 power +5 AR and this cost me about 1k roughly to do so and now im looking at haveing to make legendary armour and pay roughly 300g on gems to remove the infusions from my current armour
for a long time i didnt wana add these to my armour knowing HoT was comeing and the chance there might be a new tier of armour so Anet keeps telling us not to worry there wont be a new tier and then they go and do this

whats your feelings on this do you think legendary is a higher tier ?

Legendary is not another tier.
It has the same stats as Ascended, you in no way have to get it.
It has the cosmetic advantage of looking cooler.
And a not insignificant convenience advantage of swappable stats.
But those stats are not any better than Ascended.

clearly the advantages of switching stats makes it higher quality than regualr armour and to me thats a new tier common/masterwork/rare/exotic/ascended/legendary each a distinct tier of Armour quality even if stats dont increase

ultimaely when everyone realizes that with only 1 skin for heavy/med/light we will all be using the same weapons and have same Armour skins and back skins and we all look like clones and there’s nothing special about the appearance they will reskin there leg Armour for something else and in the end the ablity to change stats will be the only reason to bother makeing this stuff

im sure ther will be many who will agree with you and that its not a new tier of Armour but also just as many who agree with my point of view better = new tier
its certainly a grey area

lock ground targeting max range

this options dosent work its clearly not max range i have tested this in multiple chars/skills turning it on and off when its on it seems my skills lock on at about 100 range short of there max rang try it yourself and see the difference on allowable placement range vs while its on and youl quickly see the diff
in pve i don’t find this a big problem but in pvp/wvw this is totally screwing me over when i get caught with enemy static’s before i can hit them with mine
plz address this issue and fix it so it locks on at true max range

are your chars who are not geting the chest camped out at that event and only doing that event daily ? coz i think this is your problem i had similar isues with rhendak i think its some sorta anti farming mechanic that forces you to go do other things with your char before your allowed to get that chest again
when it was happening with rhendak i found that moving my chars to another zone and doing 1-2 events and returning sorted the prob while chars who i left there would never get the chest again until i done other things with them

sadly yes this is what happens when you believe Anets promises when they say there wont be another tier of Armour personally i feel lied to again

with the upcomeing legendary armors i wanted to ask do upgrade removal tools remove crafted infusions coz i currently have full +5 power +5 AR infusions witch cost me alot of money and im concerned that if i wana use legendary armour im loosing about 1k gold worth of top tier upgrades

i doubt its gona be hard to make a full set of this itl proly be like the cost/effort equivalent of making 2 legendary weapons witch for me is about 2/3 months worth of pve
any difficulty in obtaining it will simply be RNG i dare say or time gated stuff like the raid instance perhaps or ascended mats with time gates

with the upcoming release of HoT we have all heard by now how we are getting legendary Armour and back items at first i thought yeah this is good but as i heard more and really thought about it i realized i pretty big downside to it
my biggest concern is that we only have 1 skin for each legendary Armour type i.e light/medium/heavy this to me is not nearly enough coz give it one year and we will all be wearing exactly the same stuff we will all have same leg Armour same leg weapons and same leg back items
isn’t anyone else really put off by this idea ? i mean i cant be the only one to see this massive flaw in Anets plan
and before anyone says, oh but anet will make more later down the line, leme just point out that they been prety much saying the same thing about legendary weapons for near on 3 years now and its taken them that long to get round to doing more.
my hopes that they will do more armour skins any time soon is low

Will Legendary Armor require Ascended?

i think its more likely that legendary armour will require ascended mats to produce rather than an actual finished piece of ascended Armour
personaly im hopeing they raise cooking/jewelcrafting to 500 and give us new ascended mats via that to use in crafting leg Armour so no one has a jump on it via cash
