something you may be forgeting as well as that as expansions come out you will allso have to buy the expansion a second time as well if you wana enjoy the new content on your second account chars and that includes any future expansions that follow after HoT
so the price of playing chars on a second account will proly cost more than you think in the long run
as someone who actually sells jps i can tell you the ones im requested to do the most and that’s the silverwastes lost golden badge run and the atherblade dive spot
while technically not jp’s they are among the hardest jp like content around
ps if your haveing problems trait for fall dmg reduction and make a set of blue/green gear and slot it with snowfall runes they stack with the fall dmg reduction trait and can save you alot of deaths and if your a mezmer you can port back up on fails
Ok there’s proly a post on this some place but since i just returned to see this nice new option implemented i have been using it a lot and in wvw i kept wondering why the enemy was geting there statics off on me before they where in range of my static
well turns out lock ground targeting at max range is not true max range at least for my 1200 range skills it seems more like 1100 range plz fix this and make it viable for competitive game play coz atm its useless outside of pve and can put you at a prety masive disadvantage in wvw when an enemy zerg hit you with a billion spells before comeing in to your suposed max range
for a long time now i have had misgivings about the amount of gambling around in the game and questioned what this is teaching players possibly even our children in some cases and how it is preying on the weak with no self control like the OP
so i couldn’t agree more on this post gambling should be locked and if we want it unlocked we send a request for it to be unlocked with a 24 hour wait period to unlock it so if we do get the urge to gamble in a lapse of self control we cant gamble till the next day witch by then hopefully youl have come to your senses and changed your mind and can re enable the lock if you even bothered to unlock the gambling features
ive heard of casinos with similar policy’s with gambling addicts who can have themselves voulenteraly band from the casino with the option to unban themselves with a wait period so they cant just turn up and be like awww come on man let me in its ok i changed my mind i wana gamble :^p
lets not add more collections since they where simply a way to rehash old content and keep us busy re running dungeons and killing world bosses we had already killed hundreds of times in the past for rewards that just where not worth the effort/cost involved to finish them
and lets not forget how buggy those collections are and despite multiple threads complaining about broken spawns and event chains

I have been having loading screen problem with WvW couple days now – like thefinnster here said: it’s just never ending loading screen – re started game several times alrdy – changed characters – tryid loading from different places into WvW: got twice on home borderland but can not get into Eternal Battleground at all (map do have a queue)
i couldent get in to the world period seems a diff problem for you
seems to have sorted itself now tho after enough log in attempts tho thankfully
ok so i was just in WVW and commander called to move map i clicked the border wp and i dc
when i tried to log in initially i got some error code and after 5 mins i can log in again but now im stuck on a load screen that never ends and its my whole account i cant log on a single char and play the game is anyone else experiencing this ?

i don’t like it and many others don’t like it either tho there’s not much we can do about that its perfectly within Anet right to do so
but my main objection is to the nerffing of regular ones specifically the ones bought via the gem store
the duration is so short i just wont even bother to use them half the time or i will use them and forget to refresh often enough and just not get good use out of them

the gem sote greed angle is simple in order to push these new boosters on us they had to make the old ones seem useless coz lets face it if it wasent for these changes id still have 113 enchanted boosters with 1 hour duration of my choice
the new boosters dont realy bring anything new to the table that interests me i dont care if it spawns a merchant i have a perma merchant express
so me and many other players who stockpiled boosters have prety much no use for the new ones if they didnt nerff the old ones i could quite hapily continue to use the old ones at my leisure for the next year
so many player like me will not have any interest in these new ones
but nerff them to the point of allmost being useless and sudenly the new ones seem more appealing thus making them valuable and more likely to sell

why would you turn karma into enchanted if those are the ones you wanted? you’re halving the number of karma boosts you have available by doing that.

Anet should reverse this change for the time being its total overkill in order to push there new gem store boosters
There’s nothing wrong with offering to help people get achievements in silverwastes or other maps.
It’s also okay to ask for a fee (although asking for tips seems to work out better).
There’s also nothing wrong with people joining a group, taxiing in, and dropping.
tl;dr imo, the OP isn’t doing anything wrong, but neither are those joining the OP’s party.
It would be helpful if ANet would add a category to LFG for “Achievements” and “Farming” (or something like that) — that would make it easier for people to find the right groups.
yeah ive often thought there should be a category for those doing/selling achievements to try and help filter that stuff in to an area more suitable

Have you tried altering your LFG post to NOT include “Silverwastes” or “SW” in the title? That way you’re far less likely to get taxi-searchers joining you. Just put something along the lines of “Selling >achievement name< portal/help”.
Also, reporting people for LFG abuse just because they don’t respond to a whisper is an abuse of the reporting function.
most of my posts dont contain the the letters SW for that reason , but still lets say my party says im doing mystery cave or no refuge some players know this is a SW activity and assume i will most likely be in the main sw map waiting to start and they decide since no one is posting an actual SW event map or chest farm they will join and take there chances and find out the state of mine and hope to get lucky
sometimes i do have friends join my party and stop the reset but that’s not always possible
why should i have to change what i wana do because of selfish players abusing me like im there private taxi i offer a legit service at a bargain price and consider what i do to be good work for the community

no what i do is legit i will not say exactly what i sell sufice ot say i sell party spots for variouse acheivments witch is perfectly fine

the players i speak of simply join me taxi in to my map and bail without saying a word i usually message them and give them a chance to apologise for it and some taunt me and others ignore me few apologize generally if a player apologies i let it slide ignore me or taunt me i report them
personaly i like it when they taunt me coz then i have evidence of there transgressions in the chat log

andred by your logic its perfectly fine for anet to say screw the curent player base over in favour of a new one so long as they make a kittenload of revenue as for there recent sales of the games this has more to do with the daily log in reward system than anything else and dosent necessarily mean we have an increase in playerbase

the current daily reward system is subject to Anet’s whim to change when they feel like it for now all you gotta do is log in but i suspect at a later date that will change and they will require you to finish your daily to get the reward or they will make it subject to a time frame you must play for within that day i.e 30 mins play time ect
id have to say pushing HoT while failing to deliver any content in the mean time is a very questionable and risky decision i personaly know at least 15 players who have droped out and at least 4 of those have stated they will not return
continuous and regular content updates have been the only thing keeping this game going when it so clearly lacks end game content for players who have been here from the start and now this insanely long wait with no new content is killing the game for alot of players who are simply bored stupid re running the same content over and over again
When i go to SW i take one of the groups offering an event map, then i TP to the map. Then i run to a base and help with the events. I usually leave the group fast so the leader can taxi more people… A m I doing it wrong?

You can still recieve all the money sent for your services. Do you have to wait a bit longer? Yes. But is it stopping you from getting the money you’ve earned? Not at all. Any gold sent through mail after you’ve received 500g is kept in reserve until the next week. It’s a time gate. Nothing more.
Of course this puts you in the outlier, but for a vast majority of players, this isn’t even going to be a bother. But it’s not stopping or preventing you from carrying on as normal.

coz lets say i stick to my routine and average earnings for 4 weeks that’s 200g per week that ends up backlogged in my mail week 1 200g week 2 400g week 3 600g week 4 800g and so on
and that’s only if its average earning and not accounting for when times are good

lolwut? The game is still playable, in every mode. The “silly putty hamburger” is something that is not edible, in any way. Not even close to the same thing. It’d be more like if McDonald’s put a fancy umbrella on top of your (meat) burger to make it look silly.

this is relay quite a big game changer for me and in an awful way perhaps there could be a method of contacting Anet to request those funds get released to us proly unlikely as itl involve staff/costs for Anet

Not sure if you were here when there were bi-weekly updates. Many complained about them, some complain about temporary stuff, other complain the events are happening too fast, and while others said they’d rather see Anet do stuff for long term even if it takes them longer.
Now, Anet made work around for temporary stuff, but you will still see people complain about how boring these L.S. are because now they have to repeat them again and again. Then we also get announcement about HoT, and now we see complaint like yours.
Imo, no matter what Anet do, there will always be people like you who will not be satisfied. Anet needs to set their priorities, and the reality of life is, there will always be two sides to the stories, and Anet can not please everyone.
the old ls stuff with scarlet in it was pretty lame tho and i can understand a lot of that being seen as bad content but season 2 has been pretty well put together and a lot better quality than it was before when it was bi weekly i think i would have been happy to see them continue like that personaly

so do I. And we receive the items that we payed money for. And that’s all. There’s no guarantee nor promise to make more content attached to those items.
