You should think it through the end! Never doing another one-time-event will mean that the player who didnt have time for the shore will never get the chance for an one-time-event.
But when ANet will do another event, maybe at a different time, u will get the chance to participate! (And then maybe me not… who cares)
So in my opinion one one-time-event every 3 or 6 months would be better for everyone! It would generate more possibillities for the player.

Ok please everyone. My party is bugged I can’t disband it or accept invitations or anything. Too many of you are whispering I cant answer you all so I’m posting here. My method is confirmed to work and many new servers have been created so just wait for someone to post his info and you can join him. I’ll update you when my party works again if it ever does. I’m really disappointed. It’s like being punished for having a job. I was fine not being able to attend this one time event due to my job, but knowing that I could have had a chance to get my hands on something really good, I’m kind of pissed off. If you’re going to have this one time only event, people should not get anything significant. It really sucks.
Keep an eye on the area around Fort Marriner waypoint–the event will kick off when construction is complete on the catapults. Note: Catapult completion time may vary a bit between overflows.
