Are these Wintersday rewards only for purchasing gems with dollars, or does buying gems with ingame gold count too?

as a minimum sized asura, i haven’t noticed this personally, but I’ve been in fracts with people who never once picked up a crystal. probably because they couldn’t tell they needed one.

I play because fractals are fun. Although I also have “wants”, like the drops, achivs, some g, or fractal levels.

Honestly, I think ppl play for a bit of both. Fun + other goals.

i rly like the little armour over the ears but it does sorta throw off the majority of the colour scheme.

But these “different” opinions all seem the same and feel like they are overtaking the forums: they are all comparing and criticizing and demanding things. They are all unhappy. It is far and few between to see a satisfied topic or even a topic that isn’t satisfied or complaining but somewhere in between.

Good lord … and you don’t think commonality of the complaints might actually mean that the complainers aren’t being mere whiners?? That there might actually be things that need to be fixed but are simply being ignored by ANet?? What planet were you born on?

If players voicing their opinions on the game bugs you, then stop reading and go play the game. You’ll probably have less to worry about if you did.

If players are constantly bringing up issues that have not yet been resolved or even hinted upon fixing, surely they can call the devs out on it? And I can imagine, after months, nothing will change, then someone else will bring it up. Hence the “constant complaining”

Sure there are a lot of people bringing up points that hold no weight…but that’s not worthy of discrediting all of them because a bunch of some unconstructive negative posts get upped. Besides, a lot of die-hard GW2 fans are quick to discredit legitimate feedback, with “entitled” being the main source of the response.

I have often stopped coming to the forums, actually. I suppose it’s just a part of the community I’d like to be able to enjoy so I keep coming back.

If you like the game so much, why aren’t you playing the game and kittening on the forums about people who kitten about the game?

Well, 60 bucks is about average for this kind of game, especially considering there is no sub. Also, don’t invest time into the game if you are unhappy with it. Or at least, dont continue to invest time. Enjoy the game once, and set it down, don’t waste more of your time.

if you’re that unhappy, maybe it’s not the game for you; that’s ok! Maybe you think gw1 blows gw2 out of the water…that’s also ok. But why be upset that gw2 isn’t gw1? why not just play and enjoy gw1? There is nothing wrong with disliking this game, but there is no need to complain so consistently about it. They are not so much helpful suggestions as they are just posts demanding something from anet or whining about the company and its game. Much like this post is just whining about whiners.

I am disappointed that the Bone pick strikes oil. The effects on the pick itself are very nice though. Just want the actual node effects to be.. better. Perhaps bone claws grasp out of the ground and grab the node or something. Anything but an oil sprout.

I think maybe it’s a blood spout. Effects aside, I plan to get this for my alt cus I want to collect em all. as well as pokemon.

Is it available for a limited time like the last 3 harvesting tools, or is it a permanently added item to the TP? Will I have time to farm gold for it, or is this another now-or-never item?

I bought the last 3 tools for 25g~, and now it is roughly 42g~. Inflation delays my speed and I want to be able to buy this for an alt. I can’t find anything that says it’s temporary but these things tend to be.

First off, hats off to Anet. They continue to work at producing content which is fun to play, but people always seem unhappy about everything; they talk and act like Anet’s employees aren’t people who work hard and have feelings. Is this the first raid-like content gw2 has seen? They’ve had world bosses, but this particular change has required intense teamwork from the players (and many players) Instead of casual zerging, messing up can wipe the event.

I used to be a WoW raider, so I have enjoyed the style of gw2 and gotten more casual about things. But this reminds me of raids without overdoing it, and i love it. Will there be more of this? Or is raid-like structured content (such as in WoW) unavailable due to the lack of the holy trinity?

Id love it to be permanent because it’s a game within a game. this keeps it fun for me. also, I’d like to spread out getting the achievements instead of grinding them and not having fun in SAB anymore. plus I spent 30g on the infinite coin and would like to keep using it lol good suggestion.

Probably the wallet is only used for permanent forms of currency, and since festival currencies are temporary (obtainable for only 2-4 weeks), they don’t want to dedicate space for currency that, either, people will miss out on or that can’t be replenished.

Been playing in Spanish text, but I’ve noticed several times that when I try to tick over the audio, nothing changes? Same with the other languages. How do I fix this?

Ok ok so I hate to ask because it has probably already been answered somewhere… But I saw this: “Moto will be demoing his Super Adventure Box throughout the month of April, to gather important data and metrics, as well as to identify any potentially lethal bugs that may or may not be present in his holoware.”

Demoing? Testing bugs? Does this mean April is a test run, and that the SAB will be permanent later in time? Or is this an April Fool’s/April only event that I should be rushing to complete in time?

I’m wondering if there are any smallish guilds with room for new members..willing to accept and include a new member? I’ve been into a lot of guilds, most were large (400+), and they kept trying to grow but would ignore the new ppl that weren’t already their close friends.

I understand why, but I’d love to be given the chance to make some friends here since my friends from wow didn’t want to come to gw2. Been playing 3 months, loving it

I bought GW2 about a week ago and made an asura necro. i knew nothing about the game or class. i’ve grown fond of my little necro and wouldnt like to start over on a new main toon. But i came on the forums to fart around, and i saw a lot of complaints? what exactly are necros disliked for? are they the worst class or somethin? or do ppl say stuff like that about every class.

just curious what’s wrong. aside from the flesh golem cus seriously lol
