Beastly warden - Yay or nay?

Beastly warden in my eyes is to good not to have is an instant CC. I love it against thieves. Thief uses shadow refuge DENIED because if you have a wolf he now has to dodge the taunt and the fear. If the taunt gets him thats a instant reveal. It is also great for team fights and peeling for another or yourself.

So many useless for Beastly Warden.

I’ve been testing it out with Power Build
Wilderness Survival + Skirmishing + BeastMastery
Its been working out very well for me.

Not only that Every single match is usually very one sided now. I can’t even enjoy myself playing soloQ anymore maybe i just get so unlucky to get very low end players on my team time and time again.

I enjoyed the old matchmaking system even though i had to wait 5-15minutes because each match was always very balanced and fun to play(All 10 people knew how to play their class and make rotations). Oh also a note it seems like climbing this leaderboard does ABSOLUTELY nothing in helping to pair you up with more skilled players.

I tried to enjoy this new system but at this point i really dislike it for soloQ. TeamQ its basically just the same but now premades have an ever easier time stomping even more soloQ players then before.

I hope Arenanet sees that teamQ and soloQ can’t be in the same matchmaking system it just can cause to much frustration on the players by adding more RNG to the mix.

Really getting tired of this new system it just doesn’t work for soloQ. I really hate having to try and carry 4 people each match that can’t cap/decape/hold points and some how the other team always knows how to do these things. I liked it when i could play on the old ladder and play with all 10 people knowing how to play the game.

I think the main focus of buffs that the ranger needs

1. Better options to gain swiftness outside of combat(Your Idea with Tail wind would be great)
2. Traps really need to combine traits or adjust the current to have more utility( I personally really miss playing trap ranger).
3. Fix sword auto attack so you can dodge mid attack(I remember them saying they were fixing this issues but what happened?).
4. Better Pet control so we can actively control all its attacks also show boons/conditions on the pet on the hub.

Its always a gamble when increasing damage on weapon sets its a better approach to find/search for other things the classes just needs fixing or polish before increasing damage.

Jumping puzzles with parkour!

I always loved doing the jump puzzles in guild wars 2 and i can’t wait for more to release and especially waiting for Super adventure box to release once again.

There was always something missing that would bring jumping puzzles in guild wars 2 to the next level of fun! Adding in parkour! I know this is probably just a dream since gw2 engine and design of the game doesn’t really favor this kind of movement and inputs. But i always wonder if it was a possibility or maybe even the developers themselves have thought of trying to add this into the game.

Some examples i thought would be cool would be climbing ladders, vines, rocky cliffs, and many other obstacles. Also be able to shimmy across ledges to get to an opening on the other side of a cave entrance. Being able to do these two actions would make jump puzzles so much more exciting in my opinion.

What do you guys think of the idea? Post your thoughts likes or dislikes of the idea!

FPS Issue with the 9/9 patch [merged]

I’ve been getting some strange fps issues with my rig as well. When i first get onto gw2 my fps starts rubber banding from 62 fps to 15 fps. This problem has never happened to me before until recent months.

I’ve tested other games like farcry 3 and tomb raider to see if they would cause any issues but it seems gw2 is the only game having these issues.

Also i can see that gw2 is making my gpu’s spike up to 99%.

Having the same issue. I’ve tried multiple times and her party dies immediately and sometimes after you can’t even proceed because the mobs become immune forever.

The past few months i’ve been getting very strange situation where my fps would have huge drops going from 62fps to 15fps and just rubber banding(also i can see both of my graphics cards spiking to 99% usage). This happens when i first log into guild wars 2.

First couple times if i would relog guild wars 2 and the issue would go away. But as of now this doesn’t fix the issue. I tested playing some other games and see if the issue would appear but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I have been playing since beta and haven’t seen this issue until this year September.

Gpu: gtx 680 2gb sli

If anyone is having this problem please post here. My last thoughts is something in the last updates has maybe done something to cause people using sli this problem.

unfortunately i didn’t post more i got 2 other builds for roaming but i am waiting on patch and try to make more.

My comment was from spvp perspective. Fighting in wvw is much easier for anyone since you aren’t pressured into situations and the ability to free roam. Also in wvw you have a lot of people that aren’t using correct builds. The ranger in spvp is in a deep hole compared to the other classes of 1v1 potential. Play around the top 200 in ranked teams or soloQ then get back to me on how the ranger is doing compared to other classes.

I didn’t comment to make ranger seem like its trash but it needs a lot of rework so it can actually become viable pick again in spvp. Even in pve and wvw they are pretty lackluster compared to the other choices.

Present Alpha training- Pet has opening Strike
After Precise Strike- You and your pet opening strike always crits

Present Precise Strike- Opening strike always crits
After Predator’s onslaught- You deal 10% increased damamge, pet gains 5% increased damage to crippled foes

Skirminshing

Present Trapper’s Expertise- Traps increased radius 60, grouned targeted range 600
After Trapper’s expertise- present effect already applied to traps. New effect Traps gain an addtional effects.
Flame Trap- Apply blind on proc and on final tick of flame trap.
Spike Trap- Apply 5 seconds of 5 stacks of vunerability on proc
Viper’s Nest- Applys 2 second of weakness on each pulse.
Frost Trap- Remove 1 boon on each pulse.

Wilderness Survival

Present Shared Anguish- Incomming disabling conditions are transfered to your pet(90 second cooldown)
After Shared Anguish- Same effect but cooldown reduced to 45 seconds.

Nature Magic

Present Rejuvenation- Gain rengenerationw hen your health drops below 75% gain 5 seconds of regen(30 second cooldown).
After Rejuvenation- Same effect cooldown reduced to 15 seconds

These are a few quality of life changes i thought would be very nice for the ranger.

My Hopes for Future Balance Patches

Sadly spvp will never be balanced because of one thing

1. GW2 is an mmorpg

Being able to build “whatever” you want is just unrealistic and can’t be balanced because there is usually a class that always does it better. Also this game has to many unbalanced traits/weapons/utilities.

I wished for the day for gw2 to have a good pvp system in place. But looking at how arenanet has designed the classes and game mode its just not possible at this point unless you want to do an entire rehaul.

Spirit rangers are better for teamfights and not really that great as they were for defending home point.
This build you will still have good dps with conditions. Mostly just stay on the outskirts of the fights to get your flanking shots in and to help keep your spirits avoid a sooner departure( if you know your spirits are going to die soon and your safe to do so you can jump in and let them die to pop their actives from “Natures vengeance)”.
The other sigil on the shortbow is Agony.

Things you can switch around to whatever you prefer are
1. Shared Anguish/Off-hand training can be swapped if you prefer something else
2. You can go 20 into nature magic but i like having Nature’s vengeance it can come in handy.
3. You can swap out torch for horn or dagger
4. Pets are up to you but i prefer spider+wolf for their cc chain for locking someone down
5. You can throw storm spirit out but the mobility it gives is nice to help you and your team position themselves better(Easier for you to kite and get those flanking shots in). Also the active is still effective on glassy builds.

This is how i play spirit ranger in Team Arena.

I haven’t tried this build after April 15th but i did test this out months ago in spvp its alright, you can apply a good amount of frost if your foe doesn’t have crazy condi removal. Just know that this build requires you to be up close and personal because axe #2 is your main damage.

Spirit of Nature and the meta

It will drop the rangers survivability with nature spirit up thats for sure. we lost 160hp pre sec and a total of 9600 healing over the course of 60 seconds. For a more experienced ranger this will effect them in 1v1 but not to the point its useless. in team fights spirit is still a nice elite for the condi clear and rez.
Also sun spirit got fixed so its now truly 2 seconds of burning instead of 3 seconds.

All in all i think spirit ranger is still viable for team fights but as a home point defender they have lost more potential for 1v1 situations.

But with all the new changes to duel sigil on two-handed weapons and new runes it might change some things.

Arenanet pretty much dug themselves into this problem with spvp.
The problems why guild wars 2 will probably never be balanced.

1. No trinity
2. Everyone has a heal and each of these heals are different giving certain classes better sustain over others.
3. Classes being able to use ranged+melee weapon types. Usually a player is only able to use one weapon type why? Because it can be balanced around a hell of a lot easier. Being able to have a ranged weapon then also have melee is just a little outrageous especially in a pvp environment in an mmo. Ranged classes are usually balanced by having a smaller health pool and less armor and make kiting your main survivability tool. Also you usually have your melee fighters peel for you. Not saying you can’t have melee+ranged together but it needs to be looked at very well and in this case that class(s) would have to be unique in a way that is balanced and not given the good sides of both ends.
4. Hard counters. From all my time playing mmos or pvp games in general have i never seen a game have actual counters that just plain out make that person win because he becomes full immune or has more then 4 seconds of immunity.
5. Trying to balance a mmo through 3 formats(pve,pvp,wvw). They are just crazy…
6. Regaining hp out of combat why have this feature(spvp especially)? Are we playing an fps? The problem with this is each person has a different effective health pool via higher health/armor/personal sustain. Making this feature unbalanced between classes/builds. For example making a guy that just used his elite and cooldowns to spike a guy down because other guy was just hurp durpin then amazingly enough he is able to escape your grasp and come back with full health or go else where. While you just wasted your cooldowns the other player can now go off and re-engage into battle without being punished.
7. Some skills need better animations/cast times for their potency.
8. Still debating on this one auto-attacks, sometimes i think they can be lackluster and other times i think they can just deal to much damage. I think within certain classes+weapon sets the auto attacks should be stronger/weaker if the weapon set depends mainly on just the auto attack for damage or the other four skills at its disposal.

These are just my says on why gw2 probably won’t ever become a balanced game unless big changes are made.

[Ranger] Pet swap bugg in combat

For awhile now pet swapping in combat puts pets on a 2 second delay which can really screw up pet cc chains(f2 abilities can work) but besides the f2 your pet will stand where it is for 2 seconds.
I hope you see this arenanet or already know of this bug or was it intended?

I tested it with zephyr’s speed and the pet starts to react at 1 second of quickness left.
This also makes zephyr’s speed useless if you wanted to try and use it for your pet to quickly dps a target. As of right now it only helps the ranger and pets f2 ability.

Video Series - Trap (Updated 10/1)

Really solid trap ranger build for the current meta. I’v been playing trapper since beta and really enjoy the playstyle of it. If people want to try and do something different i would really suggest to try this build out. I made a few changes to my likely but other then that i really enjoy the raw damage to help against AR engis and to help taking down petting zoos a little more efficiently. Trap rangers always been beasts at 1v1s(if you position yourself well and land your spike a good amount of the time) besides going against necros since they have a lot of counters and a good theif would always be a pain. Warriors have been given so much in few past months they to have become a more challenging opponent then before.

Good job Sol always enjoy your posts and videos.

Rangers only have 1 viable build.

I do agree…I have played over 1400 games with my ranger. Pvp was soo much fun when I was able to spend hours on different builds on the profession I most like and actually see progress made with a lot of them. I have tried an unbelievable amount of builds on my ranger now, yet I am forced to play one build: Spirit Ranger. I could move on to a different profession, but why should I be forced to move to other professions when I want to play Ranger? Every profession should have different viable builds. There are a few other builds like trap build or a few power builds but they aren’t nearly as viable as spirit ranger.

One of my favorite things about guild wars 2 pvp is the fact that everyone starts at the same level and that skill and theory crafting is what is suppose to put you on top of others. But sadly with rangers that is not an option, I am almost the same as all other rangers with small insignificant differences with the build and some differences with skill level when it comes to using that ONE build…and there might be other professions with the same issue…I HATE IT!

Edit: There are many rangers that I have met through solo queues and tpvp that despise this as well. Sometimes I meet rangers not running spirit builds…and why? “Because I am bored of the spirit build,” which sadly I have done as well.

Here with you man… i really enjoy playing ranger since beta its one of the reason i bought gw2. At its current state in spvp really not much for us right now since most other classes have been getting buffs and well we either get nothing or we get the nerf bat. I have given up on spvp finally as i can’t take all these very passive/AI builds anymore.

Balancing GW2

This is what really does need to happen to the game i’m glad you took the time to write this up. One of the main problems of gw2 is we have so many skills so we can spam all of these and on top of that these skills have fast cast times/barley noticeable animations. They really need to ton down the amount of these skills and improve upon them better like you have suggested. Making this game a lot more enjoyable for the players, the shout casters for tournaments, and the viewers of the game. I think a lot of people would probably agree that in pvp we can’t tell whats really going down in a teamfight because there is just to much coming out at once and over a constant period of time. I think this game needs to be toned down some how and i think this might be the solution to its problem.

Suggestions:
Have longer swap cooldown 20 seconds instead of 10 this will stop so much spamming of skills and people really need to make a more skillful decision whether to stay within a weapon set.

Warriors in PvP, this is just silly.

Longer bleeds dogged march cleansing ire spiked armor larger banner area quick breathing banner regen. Sword/horn + longbow or hammer Utilites= zerker stance balanced stance dolyak singet.

Long bleeds on sword auto attack and pin down. 2 forms of immobilize. 2 forms of stability and 1 form of 0 condition dmg taken for 8 secs. 2 forms of condi cleansing. Constant retaliation. Shortened immobilize crippled etc… All while regening 500+ hp per second passively depends on gear or trinket if spvp.

I get the chills when i see builds like this.

Nerf mobility

After playing a ranger since launch until like 2 weeks ago and rerolling warrior; warriors really don’t have much to complain about. They have better overall mobility, better damage, have a mechanic that actually responds to player use, better condition removal, better passive support, better health, better armor… there really is no reason to play a ranger if you want results; about the only reason to play a ranger is for the aesthetics (As weak as it is in any real scenario, I still prefer the ranger longbow over the warrior ranged weapons).

Also, the warrior sword can do like way more damage than pretty much any of the ranger weapons (even on a good day for the pet). You can stack bleeds, cripples, have mobility and can dish out raw damage at a pace that makes rangers cry in envy (well they cry in envy at everything any halfway decent warrior can do). Throw a shield in the offhand and you have a better damaging more reliable version of the ranger GS (even with the mobility difference).

Sure you can dodge like crazy with the ranger sword, but in a game where stacks of conditions and raw damage are easily spammed it really doesn’t help them for long.

I mean even taking a look at comparable condition removal traits/skills:

Warrior – Cleansing Ire

  • 20 points
  • no hard cool down
  • removes up to three conditions
  • Player control on when it’s used

Ranger – Empathic Bond

  • 30 points
  • kills your pet and only works while pets are alive (think of it as if your adrenaline was on cool down for like 48-60 seconds just for using Cleansing Ire)
  • hard cool down of 10 seconds
  • procs 1 time every 10 seconds (then a 10 second cool down, even if it removed zero conditions); random, hope for the best, heart of the cards guide me, may the force be with you, gg.

They aren’t meant to be equal, but there is clearly a difference in balance once you start playing around and comparing skills that have parallels such as these two; pets don’t reliably survive very well in many key situations while warriors have precise control over and don’t have to worry about losing out and 40% of their damage and potential utility just to cleanse conditions.

I’ll stop here though, seeing as I started playing a warrior to get away from the rangers’ issues in the first place… If I wanted to still be concerned about the imbalances of the ranger I wouldn’t be in the warrior forum.

I feel you bro. A lot of people think empathic bond is SO GOOD but compared to other classes its really not all that great since it skills our own mechanic and no other classes has such a flawed mechanic like our and we have to use skills that just punishes it even more. Warrior i feel has everything if you create the right build. If warrior stays to what it is other classes really do need an upgrade to be some where near what warrior has utility wise/trait wise/weapon wise.

Regen from healing signet+Adrenal health
21k+ health pool
2.6k+ armor
25% increased movement speed from warrior’s sprint/fast hands for quick weapon swap
AoE from earthshaker+other hammer abilites+longbow combustive shot+ arcing arrow
Hammer/longbow skills all hit for a good amount of damage.
Dolyak signet+balance stance immune to CC+ berserker stance immune to conditions

Condi warrior pretty much have the samething no hard cc(stuns) but a good amount of immobilize.

Introduce cast bars

I feel the this game is missing a lot when it comes to being able to notice whats going on since their is so much spam/clutter/particle effects.

Cast bars need to be introduced into this game not sure why they didn’t add them from the start. This would make fights a lot smoother and let players react and improve the counter play to the game. Instead of most players just spamming their dodges because they can really tell whats going on.

They also might want to revamp the some animations/cast times for very potent skills this would change the flow of combat and not a spam fest and really reward for chained combos and better placement of attacks and positioning.
With this people wouldn’t be able to spam their skills as much since cast times for certain abilities would be increased lowering all the clutter going on screen.

What do you think?? Should there be cast bars within this game?
Do you think cast times should also be increase for powerful abilities to help subside spam of abilities and reward more teamwork to chain cc together?

1. Mobility

6. High base damage
7. High amount of CC
8. Good condi removal
9. Good AoE
10. Immunities

This is just to much to have for one class… and basically they can take all of these into one build which is insane.. and shouldn’t be allowed.
They really need to up the risk of playing a warrior.

Arenanet needs to start changing their balance structure because they must not really understand that giving a class all of these things is just way to powerful especially when they can have all of it within a build.

Longbow combo+greatsword combo

Only use this against bosses.
I swap out remorseless with piercing arrows when fighting trash mobs.
Just swap to remorseless when fighting bosses
You can swap to singet of the beastmaster(signet of stone) when you need to do parts where you need to absorb damage like examples Dredge zone in fractals when you have to put down the bombs to destroy gate. When doing skips in arah.
This also works well with signet of wild when you need to dps structures only do this in CoF path 1,2. In path 1 use it if your going to do gate zeyphr+sick em+signet of wild while using sword+feline. In path 2 use it on end crystal thing. I use shortbow here since sword doesn’t really work out to well attacking that thing. Use the ledge near the crystal and swap your pet and command it to attack to get your pet to attack the crystal.

Natural Healing is a 30 point investment for a very small heal. It’s really good at keeping your pet alive, because they heal more with it, but I don’t like taking it just for us unless the whole point of your build is regen.

I see very little reason to go past 20 in the BM line, those extra points are better spent getting Fortifying Bond in the Nature Magic tree, because that trait is better for your pet than anything in the Beast Mastery tree. Go figure.

If you PvP having the 30 in BM can be invaluable for the faster stomps, not to mention it does increase your pets overall usefulness by quite a bit.

The quickness gained from zephyr’s speed is useless for the pet because pets don’t activate until 2 seconds after pet swap while in combat. Least it does this for my on my ranger while in spvp. You can test this out for yourself, reply back if you do i would like to see if this is happening to other people other then myself.

Since our class mechanic is our pets i think we deserve a better pet hub.
Being able to see Conditions and boons would be a start.

Also i know arenanet has talked about not giving us have full control of our pets skills but least give us something that shows the cooldown of their skills so we can actively play around that instead of always having no clue when they are going to use their abilities again.
Only control we really have right now is the pet will always use their 3rd skill first this works fine but sometimes doesn’t always work out as planned especially when you swap a pet in combat. When swapping pets in combat your pet will stand their for 2 seconds ruining your combo chain or that little bit of damage you needed to get in within those few seconds.

List of Pet hub upgrades
1. Show pet conditions
2. Show pet boons
3. Show pet skill cooldown

(this makes zephyr’s speed only give 1 second of quickness to your pet)

if you want a challenge only spec that we have that is semi-viable is trap ranger. Even though its a condi build you are still pretty vulnerable since you don’t have any on demand condi removal, no boon spam and passive healing.
I find this build fun since its little more active then the beastmaster build and spirit ranger.

Yeah.. its a unfortunate to the players that really wanted an enjoyable and fun pvp experience.
I’v been playing spvp since beta and was hoping for all this time spvp would become better… but with the new meta and all and changes i don’t really see a bright future for pvp.
I will still hope one day it will get better. As i really do enjoy playing gw2.

Bruiser builds need to be tonned down

With a lot of changes that happened over past couple of major patches have made opened up a lot of bruiser builds that allow them to absorb a ton of damage while still dishing it out. This would be fine if they didn’t have the good ends of both.

I think areanet is taking the game in the wrong direction with balance and seems to just give classes a little to much sustain without thinking about how much damage they will still be capable of.

Especially since conquest encourages tankness so the player can hold down points and sustain it for his teammates to help him/her out.
This doesn’t make to much build diversity since everyone can just pick up one of these builds and go easy mode.

Leave a message on what you think about all the bruiser builds and what should be done to tone them down and make a more equal flooring between builds. Instead of having to just go to one build because its just to good not to use it.

trap ranger build.
For pets you should always have wolf its just to useful your secondary pet choose from this list.
Pets-Jungle spider, Black widow, drakehound, lynx

Healing skills you can choose between healing spring and troll unguent. If you use sword+warhorn healing spring would be more useful then troll unguent since you have blast+leap finisher which each heal for 1.3k + the condi removal from water field.
Reason for troll unguent is little less easier for you to heal just make sure you use it early on and careful of condi classes.

Utilities you can swap out poison trap for something else of your preference if you want to sometimes i swap it out with signet of renewal if other team has a lot of condi spike.

Something to remember when playing a trap ranger always have your traps down somewhere(usually on point) and lead your opponent to them. Always fight somewhere you have the edge and never really engage in combat in wide open areas because that leaves you at a disadvantage. Remember to kite your enemy down since you don’t have any kind of sustain like other builds people are running so be very careful. Never engage into 1v2+ you will not be able to tank all that damage so just disengage not worth giving team free 5 points.

Hope this helps you out in spvp. But just remember trap ranger really isn’t a top tier build and doesn’t have the luxury of high sustain like other condition builds have.

Something that might help is toning down auto attack damage in spvp. Shaving off some power and conditions duration for condi builds so they can’t stack a bunch of bleeds with just auto attack.

Where does this sentiment come from? Condition engineers and necromancers rely on No. 2-5, which are mostly ground-targeted attacks, for a vast majority of their condition damage and utility. Ranger is another story, but that’s more a problem with the class than any of its particular builds.

I understand that it’s possible to “spam” and get some results, but I think the sentiment is wrongly placed solely on necromancers just because they were once ludicrously overpowered. The reality is any class except maybe mesmer can spam and get results. That’s the nature of the game. The skill differentiators for necromancer and every other class are positioning and situational awareness, not how difficult it is to press those buttons in the right order.

Very true that engi and necro don’t really rely on their auto attacks(maybe auto attack don’t need to be changed). After thinking about certian classes that do have auto attack weapons but then they usually have skills that are mainly utility. Not sure what i was thinking when i posted that lol.
I think the main problem is just that skills just need more noticeable animations that set them apart and some having a longer cast time for the more potent skills. This would help people in doing more counter play and hopefully slow the game down a bit so casters can notice what people are actually doing in the match and commentate. Hopefully with this in teamfights wouldn’t be so chaotic and a blurr over your screen just trying to notice whats going down.
Also i think the capture points should be a bigger then which they are now so people can’t just throw their aoe down so easily on the person that is trying to bunker. In return the bunker could try and kite aoe going down instead of always just having to face tank it. Possibly allow other players that aren’t bunkers to have a better chance at survival on capturing and holding points.
This is what i think would help the game if you have criticism about it this type of change i would enjoy reading it

Another thing is changing cast times and animations for some skills as of right now their are some skills that are very powerful with fast cast times and barley a hardly noticeable animations. Arenanet has done some of this kind of stuff in the past to fix some of the problems but i think it needs to be worked on further.

Hopefully the summary includes most of the discussion on this topic. I’ll update it if anything new comes along, but I think we’ve covered most of the bases. Interestingly most of the tutorials weren’t actually concerning the conquest game type but focused on class mechanics and builds, which I think for new players with a basic understanding of a Player vs Player style game are far more complex to understand.

There really isn’t any emphasis put on this at all at the moment. While youtube videos are out there, some are much better than others and many are outdated. I think an official build resource put on the forums with video guides from high level players would be the first logical step to improving the experience, and to implement that into the game a simple link sent to the player when their character enters PvP would suffice. What do you guys think?

Yeah having some kind of link within the game to good youtube tutorials would be a godsend. New players have no clue.. whats going on in spvp someone needs to tell them how they are suppose to play(because the ingame tutorial doesn’t) so everyone can have a better experience.
I really hope areanet does something about this… i would be a step in the right direction to making spvp better.

Yeah i do agree with you guys. Something needs to beto make more counter play in this game(but not dumb passive counter play) and something to be done with all the spamming of skills.. its just so chaotic you can’t always tell wtf is going on lol.
I forget who i read it from but the idea with making other classes kind of have what theif has would be interesting but even thief… can spam to much. One day i hope areanet net can figure out a way to make fights a little more interesting and make teamfights less chaotic so people can see whats going down.

Bunker engi is so OP/lame

I have to agree that bunker engi is pretty powerful.. With this build you can dominate anyone once you learn your combos and learn how to spam effectively. This build has almost everything in it and condi spam up the kitten(if you take grenades/bombs). I think it has to be toned down somewhat. I think this build will see a few nerfs in dec 10th patch? I think i remember seeing a few things.
It is a fun build to play around with when you don’t really feel like trying.

I think areanet needs to spend some time in making a better tutorial for spvp because the one they have right now is just lame(sorry arenanet).. and doesn’t really show anyone how a match is suppose to be played and what you need to do to win. They basically go into an spvp blind and unaware of whats really going on. They need to give people actual builds to start off with and not those rubbish ones…

Or they need to have someone that will make a nice video explaining that capturing and holding points is very important and you need to beware of your enemys position to better position yourself within the match. Also explain some roles people can take within the match Bunker, roamer, home point defender, Burst, Condition pressure.

They need to post this video in spvp thread and maybe even post it on their front page of gw2 website or even better post it within gw2 when a new player enters the mists so people can see it and hopefully learn something from it.
They want spvp to be a success i think one of the major issues of gw2 is new people are never really playing the game on how it was intended. Instead they just run around looking for kills.
They need to do something to push the spvp community in the right direction and help it grow. Not to make new players think spvp is just a zerg fest they can go to wvw for that.

Maybe this is asking for to much but it would hopefully help new players understand spvp to a greater degree and have more enjoyable matches.
[Only time this isn’t the case is High MMR matches(but sometimes it still happens sadly…)]

Spirit Of Nature Criticism

Last time i checked the healing of Spirit of nature is pretty close range probably around 300 range so the ranger has to be pretty close to his team for them to get the healing.
Would like some other people to test this out and see what your results are.
