My only problem with your statement above is the fact that I don’t have money to splurge around and buy new gems with, just because something is on sale right now. I am waiting on my PoF gems as well and have seen things go on sale that I want, and vanish from sale as I waited. I’m not against the 72 hour delay, I totally understand, but it does make me extremely sour. I had to save up to buy the expention, and now I’m missing out again because of the delay. I’ll state again, I understand the 72 hour delay, but it is kind of bugging me that I’m missing out on sales just because I didn’t have the money ready on the day they announced PoF.

You could have bought the standard edition, and 4000 gems – for the same price, without having to wait for your gems.

5 slots were 2800 gems before sale (-25% = 2800 – 700 = 2100), so yeah – don’t know what that’s about!!!!

Been here since GW1, and i havent missed any of the story yet, not gonna start now, and the free gems helped.

The difference in price from standard to ultimate is exactly what 4000 gems costs in the gemstore – so you don’t get free gems, you only get a char slot, identity scroll etc. for free

I think the particle system is CPU bound, and there’s really no excuse for not doing them on the GPU using shaders!
Also, the physics is run on the CPU too, so the cloth simulation is probably a big factor in big crowds (Have my char model quality set to medium because of this).

We’re long overdue for a graphics and user interface overhaul!

A nice feature is that you can access the wiki by typing “/wiki <subject/item/whatever>”, it also works with shift-linking (so you can just type "/wiki " and shift-link an item to get info on it)!

Well, antialiasing would be great!

What graphics card do you have, and how many watts is your PSU?
It sounds like either overheating, or not sufficient power under load..

Have you tried opening Event Viewer and check the log for possible errors? That could give an indication of what goes on
Also you could use MSI Afterburner or a tool of your choice to monitor your temps while playing – GW2 gives the CPU a good workout, so it’s possible that’s where the overheating problem lies, if that’s your problem..

Was wondering if it’s in anyway possible (and in the cards) upping Fire Elemental’s health pool? 8 seconds of fighting is a bit low (possible to miss out on the fight if you afk for a short timespan), and I seem to remember it lasting longer a year ago or so?

Easier to just mute GW2 and put on some music

It would be a nightmare with net-traffic if we could all stream music around us in-game, copyright issues galore and people would abuse it in every way they could with broadcasting inappropiate music and sounds.
Unless you mean the game instruments in some way (figured you meant real music)?

I would just send it without all that extra info.

If ANet ever banned me for that, I would rather abandon the game than having to add proof to a mail that are 100% legit within their system.

It’s like those people who doesn’t mind agencies spying on email traffic etc – just because you have got nothing to hide/done nothing wrong, doesn’t mean you have to bend over for authorities.

You just wanted to share your fortune with a friend, and if the mail could be sent within the gold limit then that’s really all there should be to it.

Try setting animations and high quality models to medium, helped on my end (970+3570K) with raising fps ^^
I also set frame limiter to 30, gives much more smooth gameplay IMO

I can only speculate how much better this game would run on decent rigs if ANet did physics and such on the GPU (physics also applies to clothing btw)

I keep mine on one toon always, and simply uses that one for gathering sprees – for random gathering the rest of my toons just uses the ori-tools

You do know that SW is not about chest farming, but doing events leading up to the main event, right?

Chest farming is just something people have started themselves, to get rid of those shovels while sharing the chests in a helpful way.. If you don’t like it, do the events instead?

Edit: SW maps can be slow to get rolling if the meter is long from filled – but just hang in there, keep defending a fort and you’ll eventually see the other forts starting to take off and then leading to the main event

Nearly had Tequatl down, and it crashed like described in this thread – before working on an expansion ANet really should fix existing game-breaking bugs. But where the money are, the work will be placed.

Really really really tired of so many crashes, when I’ve put more money into this than 1yr sub in other games – money not good enough for you? Give them back to me and you won’t see me again.
