Great post ! Have you played TSW and its investigation missions ? I have and I find them so much entertaining, cuz they make u think. It would be good to use lore-puzzle like investigation quests/events/instances in order to obtain precursors and stuff.

i am now runnig Rifle cleric 3 kit bomb build (although its my backup build, my main is pure condi 3 kit PP build) and want to craft ascended armor, but dunno which one to choose – Condi or Cleric. Anyone of u guys tried or theorycrafted that new zealots trinkets? Is it viable to run cleric armor with zealots trinktes to boost crit chance and thus damage ? Running kinda DPS/Healer thing. Mainly question for bomb engis.

so my few suggestions regarding character progression in general.
1. Balance cash-shop cosmetics with in-game cosmetics (skins) acquiring. It means that I would like to see more obtainable armor/weapon skins from personal story quests, WvW, dungeons, fractals etc. Basicaly even greater variety and cash shop that suits devs and players.
2. Skill hunting sounds very interesting – I have never played GW1, but the idea behind it is very good. Form of alternative skill progresion linked to specific bosses, events or quests is needed.
3. More variety in the trait system. So far I have linked the changes, but more “passive” specializastion via sub-trait system would be great.
So to summarise my post – greater variety of skins and greater variety of skills and traits.
so i can tell only one thing. The other day I was playing with some random ppl lvl 26 or 29 fractal I dont remember exactly now. We were doing that lava fractal with grawls. We couldnt kill the boss at the end, so i swithed to Soldier/Cleric guardian I have. We made it on the first try, it took like 5-10 mins. Nobody was complaining about my cleric gear.

since incendiary powder going to be moved to master tier, I have a hard time deciding if to stay with 20 points in explosives or goin 20 in tools. I use HGH PP condi build, with 20 in firearms and 30 in elixirs, med kit, eli B, eli S, TK and Supply drop. Until now I also had 20 points in Explosives – incendiary and enhance performance
So, should I stay with 20 in explosives – using shrapnel/incediary/EP/exploit weakness combinations or go 20 in tools (speedy kits and power wrench) ?

im playing standard MM (20, 0, 30, 20, 0) Death nova MM, with soldiers exo armor, knight trinkets (ascended) berserker staff and A/F. I play the same build in WvW, fractals and PVE, its fun.
Rune of speed is a must !
so my brother has been playing ele for a while and I have to say that eles need HP boost or dmg boost. Its that simple. Raise the base hp pool or make dmg comparable to thiefs.
i play wvw with standard condi P/P HGH build – mostly rabid gear
med kit – elixir B – elixir S – tool kit
little deviation is 20 in explosives.
for me – the “upcomig patch” if it is true, will be nice buff.

from the patch preview reading and potential leaked patch changes i have seen i am now interested goin back to vampiric MM. So if the HP burst to minions + power/healing power scaling to vampiric trait line is correct, than vampiric tanky MM might be viable. What do you think guys ?
i agree, necros have the worst stomping mechanics
yesterday i was roaming in WvW, thiefs and warrs were stomping me with no problems all the time, eles have mist, engis have elixir s and so on…

so today I was selling Spark. I placed 630g as selling price and listing fee was 30 g, but when I opened BL trading window to collect the gold, there was only 570 g ? How is that possible ? Listing fee not 30 g but 60 g ?

firstly i would like to say that in overall i am content where the game is going with regular updates – new currencies, new weapons, new skills and traits in the future and so on. Of course there are some cons, but do not want to talk about them right now.
Regarding endgame – my suggestion is to implement more rewarding systems for the upcoming future of the game itself.
I would like to see more skins available for badges and also weapons skins, perhaps some unique skins to reward WvW players more. Do you agree ? So im looking forward to leagues and i hope the rewards will be really rewarding.
and when a minion gets hit, not you – it shouldnt enter combat mode for your character
this is the biggest problem for me
the choice between A/F and D/D.
A/F – good vulnerability stacking, regen, chill,cripple, retaliation and de-boon skills
D/D – blindnes, weakness, immob and a bit of extra healing
if not good in pure melee then choose A/F

after some discusions I have read and seen the gameplay I would like to suggest doing something about the DPS Zerk builds everywhere. I have feeling that Zerk builds are the only viable ones for almost every aspect of the game. Although there are other known builds like clerics, soldiers or condis combinations I get the feeling that Zerk builds just rule over every other gear builds.
Could u ANET do something about balancing the gear as well ? To make defensive/offensive/DoT builds more balanced, by making non-zerk builds more attractive ? E.g. i have never seen any shaman build or a character that would use full shaman gear.

im running soldier/cleric Guardian, condi/prec. chance Engi and soldier/knight Necro MM – I really like them all. I play them WvW/PVE/Dungeons/ and Frcactals. I have never been playing the burts type character, because I find it very common and standard in every other MMO RPG game. I just dont get the “Zerk” thing and probably never will.
I think there is one thing for sure – Zerking must be changed in order to encourage other players play with different gear, not just DPS.
Thx guys for comments so far. I find the idea to make minions “dodge” when u dodge presented in this topic very interesting. One more thing I forgot to mention. When minion gets hit u automatically enter combat mode which is very annoying too. I think it should be changed.

just typical complaints but first, as MMi find the buff/nerf to DS more like buff than nerf. It certainly last longer for me as MM these days.
But i just want express my complaints regarding aoe survivability of minions and survivability in general.
Please at least grant us vigor to MM traitlines/skills/playstyle. Its true that u can absorb tons of damage by DS, but in the end we always die (especialy in WvW, with no teleport or leap skill or swiftness when not using warhorn). Yesterday i saw warrior with hammer and gsword just using his leap “jump” skills to pass through our zerq and no one could stop him. He just jumped away, not using dodges at all.
So add some aoe protection to minions and at least vigor, i would be really gratefull, thank you

so ive been thinking about this for quite long time. First i have to say i realy like dungeons and fractals, in general they combine fight and sometimes puzzles that have to be solved by teamwork, which i like a lot. But…
My suggestion is to add dungeons that will focus litle bit more on the puzzle side of dungeons, also add someting like chain events where u collect hints, maps, keys and riddles that will lead you to certain dungeons, where u use items u have collected. It would be fun to see more mini-dungeons and “proper” new dungeons focused just a bit more on riddles and puzzles. Adding a few more “things” from Adventure RPGs playstyle i find very enterainig.
Feel free to broaden or critize my suggestion

I would like to add MM opinion too. Id like to see some DS skill for MM as well. Yes there is discussion concerning condis now and yes MMs were buffed too, but we are still useless in wvw and minions die too quickly. IMHO MMs are worse in pve and wvw than conditionmancers now.

with my engi I use it a lot and its my prime condition, but it somehow doesnt fit with necro as a class.

almost forgot – speed boost to projectiles would be usefull – mainly staff skill 1 and focus skill 4.
hit 80 couple of days ago, almost with exotic equipment and I play kinda hybrid power/MM with 30 in spite (axe oriented, when needed, staff oriented for zergs in WvW) death magic 20 and vampiric 20. Weapons stats – Strong, armor stats – pow/vit/tough and knight jewels. I might have change it in the future though.
As for ron pierce have written, my opinion is that some of his ideas id like to see implemented, but they are sort of OP.
But reading it gave me some thoughts on improving MM necro.
1. We need at least vigor – simple as that, i think we are low on boons when traited to MM.
2. Improve minion AI and make minions at least little worthy in WvW – that condi removal was good idea + healing out of combat. Change bone fiend utility skill, i dont find it usefull, or make the cast time faster with 3 secs immob.
2. Shadow fiend – skill can do 1 or 2 sec fear or confusion as well (my suggestion). It fits with the concept of shadow fiend.
3. Swiftness – only two skills that provide it with long CDs. I agree with making CDs shorter or add trait or skills that provide swiftness. There is also trait with daggers which improves speed now, but so hard for non D/D MMs to be fast to somehow help them to escape from a skitmish. Wurm skill and spectral walk are hard to use in WvW in order to escape. In sPvP Wurm is actually usefull.
4. I play Axe focus/ and D/D in sPVP and Axe/F and Staff in WvW, but id love to play dagger/WH in WvW. At least the ranged aspect and chill from focus are forcing me to stay with A/F + Axe skill 2 too. Just cant decide here how to make D/WH more attractive for me.
5. Siphon health – i think the most debated aspect of necros vampiric trait lines. It should scale with healing power or power in my opinion. As healing power is defensive stat, siphons shouldnt scale much with it i think. With power – we just need to find balanced scaling.

today ive seen that my flesh golem has healed ooc in PVE. Is it supposed be that way ? And in the future will all minions heal ooc ?

guys i want to ask you one thing. How do some of us MMs solve the issue of condition removal ? I simply cant find the right way of doing it.
In terms of 10 0 30 30 0 or 20 0 20 30 or 20 0 30 20 0 how do you do it ? Dagger skill 4, Staff skill 4 (u have to be close to your enemy), traits or heal ? Fetid cosumption or consume conditions ? Cant make upmy mind here. What about death nova ? Im not 80 yet (but close) but it sounds really useful skill to me, but when I invest points here a cant obtain traning of the master or fetid…
Im asking beause id like to use focus as off-hand as well (i find warhorn and focus more entertaining and usefull in all aspects of the game than of-hand dagger)

I EXPECT:
1) Spiteful vigor now grants VIGOR… on crit (no heal)
2) Minions attack as soon as I attack with any weapon or skill
2.1) NO pathing issues
2.2) Increase in base damage, HP and Toughness for Minions
3) DS # 5 = Spiteful Spirit from GW1
3.1) DS #3 now works the same on ground as under water = Cone Fear
4) Reduced cooldowns on warhorn
5) Faster cast skills/animations for everything
6) Hmmmmm…. maybe a new toy, like 2 handed hammer (think Guard, except wells instead of symbols)
7) Purchasable skills for minions… bought with extra skillpoints…
8) A trait that makes the worm mobile
9) OH YEAH, my elite can finally swimThat would be a good start

thanks, nice insights. Still cant make up my mind lol. Theoreticaly when reapers touch would heal minions too, i will go DD + Axe focus mostly, Staff only for some zerg actions in WvW. It seems like DD + Axefocus+Staff for me :-)

ive read couple of posts about MM/Vampiric Necro and also seen new patch notes. I want to ask couple of things and know your opinions
1. Axe/focus or DD now ? (Staff always secondary) Want to go 10/0/30/30/0, not decided yet, but still couldnt make up my mind. With DD should i go Bloodthirsty + Transfusion/Vampiric rituals ? With axe focus should I go Vampiric precison + something else ?
2. Reapers touch – does it also heals minions ? According to the skill description it should (minons are allies). But tested it and I havent seen regen on my minions.
Is it good idea to run that Spiteful removal + Well power with Axe focus in order to have some level of condition removal ?
It is meant to be PVE/WvW build. In WvW and dungs I probably switch to more AoE with wells and traits oriented on wells for support.

Hello. Ihave just realised som discrepancies in major slot combinations. Pls look to elixir anf flamethrower related major slots, because it seem they somehow dont work properly.
Example – when i use elixir gun with deadly mixture, the 15% damage increase is not shown in skill description. Or is it the way it should be like that ?
Elixir gun – combination of rifled barrels and fireforged is also bugged. Range and recharges just change to improper values. I do not know if someone has posted this already (this is first time im writting a post here) so sorry for double post.
